( Germany's POV)

Germany slowly opened his eyes. He blinked at the sunlight that was streaming in through his window. He hadn't realized that it was going to be so bright; he would've closed his curtains if he had known. The tree outside his window helped shield Germany's eyes from the harsh light, but it still stung just a bit.

Sitting up, Germany felt around for his glasses and slipped them on. He stretched and walked into his bathroom. He looked in the mirror to see that he had developed barely noticeable eye bags. He sighed and went back into his room. He slowly put on a light blue sweater, not bothering to put pants on quite yet. Germany was about to head downstairs when he was met by Reich at his door.

Reich looked down at Germany. Per usual, there was no trace of empathy or mercy in his gaze. His eyes were icy cold and intimidating. Germany felt himself beginning to tremble. What did his father want with him?

" There was a Russian on my property yesterday," he hissed. Germany didn't have to think hard to know exactly what he meant.

" There are no Russians allowed on these grounds. I know you're linked to it somehow, and boy when I found out how-"

Reich let out a quiet, malicious laugh.

" Let's just say you won't see the end of it."

Reich shoved Germany to the ground. He reached down and slapped Germany across the face before walking back down the stairs. Germany heard the front door open and close. Getting up, he dusted himself off and went downstairs. At least his father wasn't around. There was really no telling when he'd be back.

The later, the better Germany thought as he toasted a bagel.

He looked down at his phone to check the weather. A huge storm would be coming in later. Germany panicked for a moment. Bad storms meant lightning and thunder, which Germany feared. He breathed deeply a few times to cslm his racing heart. It would be fine.

Germany ate his bagel in silence. He didn't mind the quiet; he actually enjoyed it. Something about the silence made him feel safe and calm. It was perfect for reading books and drawing. Speaking of drawing, it occured to Germany that he hadn't given the cat drawing to Russia yet.

What if he doesn't like it? A voice in his head said. What if he thinks it's ugly? He'll be mad at you for offering him a disgusting drawing!

Germany contemplated this. He wanted to give it to Russia, but he was scared that he wouldn't like it. Russia was supposed to be coming over later. Germany decided that he would just risk him not liking it and giving it to him.

Germany casually checked the time. It was 10:00 in the morning. The storm was supposed to be coming in at around 1:00. Germany finished his bagel and sat on the couch. He grabbed a book off the bookshelf and started reading. It was a random book about some people going whale hunting. Germany personally loved animals, but he had to admit that the book was interesting.

It was around 11:45 when Russia knocked on the door. Germany set his book down on the couch and went to open the door. Russia was standing there with a goofy smile on his face. He had brought his blanket with him.

" Hey, Ger!" Russia said happily.

" Hey! How are you?" Germany asked.

" Fine, and you?"

" Fine as well."

" I, uh... brought my blanket with me. I heard there was a storm coming, so I brought it in case you wanted to.... cuddle."

Germany couldn't help but smile. He secretly really liked cuddling with Russia, even though it made him seem like a baby. Germany let Russia in. Russia took his shoes off and walked over to the couch. He nearly sat on Germany's book. Luckily, he noticed it before he sat on it.

" Hey, what were you reading?" Russia asked curiously, picking up the book. He laughed as he read the title.

" What's so funny?" Germany said.

" The title."

Germany grabbed the book and read the title again. It took him a moment to realize why Russia had laughed at it.

" You're gross, you know that?" Germany said playfully. Russia was on the floor laughing.

" I'm sorry, I couldn't help it!" He said through giggles.

What a nut job. Gotta love him, though Germany thought to himself, helping Russia into his feet.

Germany watched Russia settle onto the couch. He placed the book on the coffee table in front of the furniture. Germany shook his head. Russia hadn't made too big of a mess in his laughing fit, at least. He had dropped his blanket, though. He bent over and picked it up. He was just about to hand it over when he felt something slap his butt.

" Russia!" Germany yelled, blushing furiously. He had completely forgotten to put pants on before Russia showed up.

" Whatever!" Russia replied, sticking his tongue out, " You know you liked it, anyways~"

" I most certainly did not!"

"Okay~"

Germany folded his arms. His cheeks were still warm. He stamped his foot and tried to look as angry as possible. He heard Russia chuckle and get up from the couch. He hugged Germany from behind.

" I'm sorry," he said softly, kissing the shorter country's cheek.

" You think you can kiss your way out of everything!" Germany said before turning around. Russia leaned forward and gently pecked Germany's mouth.

" That's because I can." Russia said before picking Germany up.

Germany stuck his tongue out at Russia, but didn't protest as he carried him to the couch. He was settled into Russia's lap before he knew it. He grunted grouchily and blushed more.

"I'll go make popcornl" Russia saiď, dropping Germnay on the couch and heading to the kitchen.

The storm hasn't gotten to be too bad yet Germany said to himself. So far, it had only been raining. The rain was the one part of the storm that Germany wasn't scared of; in fact, he actually enjoyed the pitte-pattering sound it made.

No sooner had Germany heard the microwave beep when a loud crack of thunder sounded. It shook the house a little bit, but it rattled him down to his bones. Germany grabbed a pillow and stuffed his face into it. He heard Russia return with the food, which calmed him down slightly.

The thunder boomed again. Germany squeezed the pillow and pulled his knees up to his chest. He felt comforting arms wrap around his upper half. Germany let Russia pull him into his lap. He gently kissed Germany's forehead and ran his fingers through his hair. Germany buried his face in Russia's chest.

When the thunder sounded again, Germany grasped Russia's shirt. He wanted to cry, but he didn't want to seem like a baby. Fortunately, Russia knew how to calm the German down. Germany relaxed as Russia shoved a hand up his sweater and rubbed his back.

Seconds later, the lights flickered out.

Germany didn't hate the dark as much. It usually wasn't as bad as long as there was some sort of light, rather it be the moonlight, his lamp, or his bathroom light. However, none of these things were present, and the room was pitch black.

Germany pressed himself closer to Russia, who hugged him. Germany couldn't helo but she'd a couple of tears. He figured Russia was looking for his phone, because he started moving around. Suddenly, there was a light coming from Russia's phone camera.

" This is a little bit better," Russia said to Germany. He was right.

Russia grabbed his blanket and draped it over himself and Germany. Germany followed suit with the Russian and turned his phone's flashlight on. There was only so much you could do with the power out. Germany was glad that Russia had made the popcorn when he did. He grabbed it off the table and shared it with him.

" Hopefully the power won't be out for too long," Germany mumbled with a cheekfull of popcorn.

"Yeah," Russia agreed. " The only light we have right now is outer flashlights, if you don't include the lightning."

Germany nodded but said nothing. He hugged Russia and kissed him on his cheek. Russia buried his face in the crook of Germany's neck. Germany giggled as Russia placed gentle kisses all over it. It really helped to calm him down.

" Well, while we're stuck here, we might as well have some fun," Russia said quietly before pinning Germany to be underneath him.

Germany could hardly see Russia on top of him. In the darkness, he could feel Russia pushing his shirt up. He let out half giggles, half moans as Russia planted kissed all over his sides and stomach. He then went back up and kissed Germany's mouth. He massaged Germany's waist and hips, which made Germany moan softly in their kiss. Russia held Germany's face and kissed him passionately.

All of a sudden, the lights turned back on. Germany breathed out a sigh of relief.

" Yay, the lights are back on!" Russia said. Germany felt himself being lifted by his legs and spun around.

" Dangit, Russia, I only have underwear on underneath my sweater!" Germany said desperately trying to cover his butt with the back of his shirt.

" It's fine, nobody's looking."

Just as Russia put Germany down, his phone went off. He grabbed it out of his pocket and spoke to who Germany assumed was Soviet.

" Sorry Germany, I've gotta head home," Russia said after he ended the call. " The power's out at my place, and one of my siblings has caused chaos."

" How much you wanna bet that it was Belarus?"

Russia laughed at this.

" Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it was."

Germany chuckled and hugged Russia before he left. Russia kissed Germany on both of his cheeks. He told Germany to hold on to his blanket until the next time he came over. Germany waved goodbye to Russia before closing the door.

Hopefully, the power wouldn't go out again.
