Ch. 12 - ???

He didn't know where he was going, he didn't have a certain place in mind. All that ran through his head is to just go out and spend some time alone.

It's been a few minutes since he sat in the driver's seat of his van, driving through the city. He tried to hold back the tears, tried to keep himself calm throughout the whole drive, but his thoughts weren't helping once again.

He wiped his eyes with his arm in one quick motion, quickly putting his hand back on the steering wheel and holding onto it with both hands for dear life.

It felt like a bullet was shot through his heart and his heart had bled out, leaving his chest empty. He felt so empty it pained him so much. He honestly didn't think things through, he could have just talked it out with three like three suggested but he didn't give that a chance.

'Why are you so pathetic?!'

'You hurt three, how could you? If only you weren't so stupid and weak!'

'You're so dramatic, why are you like this?!'

'Worthless pathetic-'

Lucky for him there weren't any cars behind him; immediately driving towards the side of the road and putting his foot down on the brake. He leaned his forehead against the wheel and cried out, silently whimpering finding it hard to breathe, gasping for air here and there, wondering why he had to be this way.

"What's wrong with me?...." He asked himself, "why are you like this.. why, why.."

He gripped his hair as he continued to weep hopelessly in his seat.

After a few seconds, he looked up ahead and took a shaky deep breath. He took in his surroundings and decided to drive off again seeing nobody was in his way.

Again on the road he drove, tears staining his face as he drove at different directions. He didn't pay much attention to that, still trapped in his overwhelming thoughts and his broken heart.

"I'll go talk to smg3 guys. Mario, go and talk to four, I'm sure he can really use his best friend right now as he shouldn't be alone."

Mario nodded solemnly, quickly making his way out the door.

"Me and Chris will be here making sure nobody comes and tries causing disturbances."

"I'll come with you Meggy," Saiko said; Meggy flashing her a quick smile before making her way towards the elevator of the storage room.

Kaizo wasn't sure what to do with himself, so he decided to just leave until someone had a strong grip on his arm.

"I hope you're proud of yourself, because I'm for sure am not." Kaizo was silent. She gave him a final stern look before pushing his arm away and catching up to Meggy.

He frowned but then suddenly rolled his eyes, putting his hands in his pockets as he walked up towards the counter using it to lean his back against.

'It was a joke, can't anyone take a joke anymore? It's not like they died... all that did was break them up...'

He sighed; 'fuck.' He thought.

"Smg4?"

Mario knocked on smg4's door, waiting for a response from him.

Luigi and Mario looked at eachother with a concern look.

"Smg4? Me and Luigi are here! Open up!" He knocked on the door again, this time getting no response once again.

Mario frowned, he was impatient, he couldn't just stand outside waiting. He slammed his fist against the door once which alarmed Luigi.

"U-uh! Mario! You shouldn't do that, we should give him some time to-"

Mario hit his fist against the door again, this time causing it to slam against the wall towards the left.

Mario wasted no time jumping in the room, ready to talk to his friend only to find that he wasn't there.

Luigi followed and looked around, "smg4?" He wasn't at his desk, wasn't sitting on his bed nor anywhere in the room.

"Oh no- Mario he's not here.."

"Did- DID HE RUN AWAY?! HE ALREADY DID THIS ONCE!" Mario shouted with a worried expression on his face as he faces his brother.

"WHAT?! Really?!"

"WE HAVE TO GO TELL THE OTHERS!" Mario grabbed Luigi; lifting him in the air.

"W-WAIT MARIO! What if he's somewhere else in the castle?!"

Mario froze for a second, "oh maybe.. WELL LETS GO CHECK!"

He ran out of smg4's room and went to search for his friend in the other rooms with Luigi still held above his head.

Meggy lifted her fist to knock on the door, hesitating at first. She looked back and saiko and she gave her a look of determination, which gave Meggy some confidence.

She softly knocked on the door which caused the door to open slightly. Meggy quietly and slowly pushed the door to be wide open, taking a good look around the room.

There was smg3 sitting on his bed, his back facing them. He was holding onto eggdog as eggdog tried his best to comfort his dad; feeling his dad's sadness which made him sad as well.

Saiko and Meggy both walked in silently, "Hey, smg3..?" Meggy spoke softly.

They can see how smg3 quickly wiped his face with his arm before turning to face her, wasnt expecting to see saiko being with her. He honestly didn't know if he wanted them in the room with him or not but he just let it slide.

"Hey...." He said quietly. Meggy and saiko both stood beside him, frowning at the sight of the upset guardian in front of them.

".. how are you holding up?" She asked, holding her arm close unsure on how to comfort him.

"I don't.. I don't know.."

They were all quiet for a moment, three's eyes getting watery as he held his son close.

"Everything will be okay smg3, I know right now things aren't looking so good but I know things will turn around." Saiko said with a reassuring smile on her face.

"Saiko's right three, things will be okay. We just give four some time to cool down and once he's ready, we can meet up with him and make things right."

"..."

Saiko and Meggy's smile went back down, unsure of what to do next or what to say in trying to comfort their friend who stayed silent.

Meggy sat down and placed her hand on three's shoulder. "Listen three, I know smg4 loves you just as much as you love him. we heard what he said, and he only said what he said because he worried a lot for your guys' reputation."

Three listened to her words; getting teary-eyed rethinking of that moment.

"He didn't say he didn't love you anymore or anything like that, I can reassure you he still loves you, and that this hurts him just as much as it hurts you."

".. I know, I guess. I just don't get why he had to do that.- I mean I know why I just- who gives a crap about what others think, me and him love each-other and that's that."

He shifted himself so his legs dangled on the bed's side, eggdog snuggling closer onto his chest.

"...if it wasn't for Kaizo... What the fuck is that guys problem anyway?! Did anyone get a fucking response from that idiot?!"

Meggy backed away a tad as she pulled her hand back, taken back from his sudden outburst.

".. we don't exactly know why he did that. You have every reason to be mad at him-"

"Sure he's an idiot but it did surprise me of him doing something stupid like that." Saiko said interrupting Meggy; her arms crossed with a face of disappointment.

"..Is he still upstairs?" Smg3 asked with a low tone in his voice.

"I'm not sure." Saiko responded, "Maybe he is but I doubt that."

Smg3 then stood up, hearing eggdog's stomach rumble.

"I'm going upstairs to give eggdog more food." Eggdog looked up at him and barked, snuggling his head against his chest which earned a weak smile from three.

"Alright, let's go then." Meggy said, as she and saiko followed behind three.

As they made it upstairs, three was the first to notice Kaizo was still here, and not just standing anywhere but leaning against his counter.

Meggy and saiko couldn't stop him in time from confronting Kaizo.

"What the fuck are you still doing here?! Get the hell out of here you ass!"

Eggdog whined, worried his father would pick another fight with this asshole who wasn't worth his time.

"Fine I'll leave! This place sucks anyways! Just how you and your lame boyfriend suck- oh wait, he isn't your boyfriend anymore IS he?"

"Kaizo!" Saiko shouted, angrily glaring at him.

Smg3 placed his son down on the counter. He was so close on being able to put his hands on that asshole who had to ruin everything until the cafe door was slammed open and a familiar voice was shouting at them.

"MEGGY! GUYS!"

It was Mario, holding a freaked out Luigi over his head.

"M-Mario! Put me dow-" Luigi couldn't finish his sentence as he was suddenly thrown on the floor.

"Mario! What-"

"MEGGY! SMG4 ISNT AT THAT CASTLE! WE SEARCHED EVERYWHERE!"

Three's eyes widen with the new information that reached his ears, remembering when smg4 wasn't in the castle last time when he was working in the cafe.

"What?!" Meggy shouted. "You sure?!" She asked desperately, earning a nod from Mario.

"Should we be worried?" Swag asked.

"Last time four wasn't at the castle, he ran off into the forest and spent all night there because he was upset. We have to make sure he's okay, and make sure nothing happens to him." Meggy responded with worried eyes.

"..I swear," Three started, he turned to face Kaizo again holding onto the same anger from before but this time, tears managed to fall down his eyes from all the built up frustration in him; his heart racing with fear.

"I swear to fucking hell dude, if anything happens to him you're the one to fucking blame..."

Kaizo stood still, staring down at the guardian, swallowed anxiously as he felt this sense of guilt in him.

"... when me and him first became a thing I was so happy, so proud. I love him so much, I've been in love with him since so long but I didn't understand my feelings then. He's been struggling so much lately with his thoughts and emotions, he- HE PANICKED AND PASSED OUT WITH WHAT YOU FUCKING DID..."

Everyone stood quiet, watching three break down in tears and anger.

"He thinks so low of himself and I hate that, but it's not his fault.. he's- he's everything to me you asshole.."

His fists tightened, immediately bringing his arm up to wipe away his tears. He took a breather, then turned and ran out the door.

"Smg3! Wait!" Meggy looked at swag and Chris before following three.

"Can you guys please help be on a lookout for him?!"

"We will assemble a search team for smg4." Swag answered.

"Don't worry Meggy we are on it." Chris said.

Meggy ran out along with Mario and Luigi. Saiko was going to follow too, before she heard Kaizo call out to her.

She turned confused, still giving Kaizo an angry look.

"...I'm sorry."

"It's not me you should apologize to."

"I know. Still, I'm just saying sorry."

"... you really screwed things up Kaizo. If you're really feeling sorry, go out and be on a lookout for four."

Before he could respond, saiko took off. Eggdog who was still sitting on the counter growled at Kaizo which alarmed him.

He came to a stop at a red light, raising his hand for what seemed to be the hundredth time to rub his tired wet eyes.

He had his phone on his lap and was scrolling through the internet, looking for more talk about him and smg3, and he did end up finding a few posts talking about them.

It was more talk about how interesting and taken back people were rather than disgusted with their relationship. He did find some negative ones, people thinking they weren't compatible, how three was a villain before and he shouldn't be given any trust.

Others said that they both suck and they deserve each-other like the losers they were.

What really struck him was how someone said smg4 should have stayed in peach's castle as it fell down, which meant one clear thing.

They wanted him dead?

He just stared at the comment, really thinking it through, the same words repeating in his head over and over.

'What if I did stay?..' He thought. 'Everything would be better, everything would have been better without me in the picture.'

'You have no use here, you're just a burden.'

'You disappoint.'

'Smg3 deserves better- they all do.'

'You don't deserve to be happy, you aren't worth it, you aren't-'

He was snapped back into reality when he heard a loud deep beeping sound which sounded like it came from a truck from a distance.

Before he could make the van move again, his head was suddenly slammed onto the steering wheel causing everything to feel like it was moving in slow motion.

The last thing he felt was his van being slammed into the car from the other side of the road ahead, and then everything went black.

Author notes: I kind of had a breakdown from personal reasons and I used what I felt into this chapter so I apologize if it's sloppy writing or messy writing

(Also this story is coming to an end ahhhhh T.T I might just end it at chapter 13 but if I get more ideas I might extend it )
