Chapter 59

( A/n: Part 2 of Twinsanity )

Onyx, Meryl, Gobber, and Stoick were giving Dagur the tour, Meryl was using all her strength to fight the urge to punch Dagur in the face every time he had hit on her.

Gobber: And we're walking, walking. Here we have our food storage. It's where we... Well...

Dagur: Oh, oh, oh, let me guess! ( Not impressed: ) Store your food.

Meryl: ( mentally rolled her eyes ) ( thoughts: ) No wonder they made him chief.

Meryl then heard Hiccup's voice whispering " Barf, Belch, come back here! " behind her, and she turned around to see that there was nothing there.

Dagur: ( to Meryl: ) Something wrong, beautiful?

Meryl: No. I thought I heard something.

Dagur: Probably because this is... Bo-ring! I want to see the dragon-killing things!

Stoick: Follow me.

Stoick then began leading the Berserker chief to the armory. In which Dagur started testing out a sword, acting in deed, deranged.

Dagur: Oh, you want some of this, Gronkle? How 'bout you, Nadder? Hyah! That's right plead, plead for your pathetic dragon life.

Dagur then threw the sword at the gap between Stoick and Gobber.

Gobber: ( to Stoick and Onyx: ) He's really got a handle on that whole " deranged " thing.

Dagur: ( To Meryl: ) You saw that, beautiful?

Meryl: ( lies, hiding her annoyance: ) Uh-huh, totally. ( With a serious expression: ) And didn't I tell you only my boyfriend can call me beautiful?

Dagur: He isn't here, now is he?

Meryl: ( under her breath, to Onyx and the two adult Berkians: ) I'm about to make him eat that sword.

Onyx: ( to Dagur, to prevent him from annoying Meryl any more: ) Why don't we see to signing that treaty now, sir?

Dagur: Sounds like my father. " Sigh that treaty, Dagur. " " Leave that chicken alone, Dagur! " " Put down that axe, Dagur! "

Stoick: Your father is a great man! And I'll not have you disrespect him!

Dagur: My father was a coward. I intend to return the Berserkers to their former glory. Something he was incapable of doing.

Stoick glared at Dagur, Meryl then saw Barf and Belch in the distance, outside of the armory.

Meryl: ( without thinking: ) Zippleback!

Dagur: ( excited, looks around: ) I knew it! Where is it? Ooh, let me kill it, let me kill it!

Gobber then steps in front of Dagur and kept Dagur from seeing the Zippleback outside.

Gobber: She's joking, Dagur! That niece of mine, always the prankster. Tell me, Dagur, what are some of your deranged plan for the Berserker Tribe?

Meryl lets out a sigh of relief, and once Dagur was finished with looking at the armory's weapons, they walked outside. Meryl then smiled when she saw Hiccup, and Dagur saw him as well.

Dagur: Ah, Hiccup, there you are.

Hiccup: Dagur! I was just thinking about you! Hey, remember that time we went swimming, and you tried to drown me?

Meryl and Onyx shared a confused and shocked look on their faces as Dagur laughed.

Dagur: Oh, the laughs we had. Bored again! ( Was about to walk away, notices something ) Just a moment. Something is going on here.

Hiccup: I can explain.

Dagur: Where is it?

Hiccup: Look it's just one drag-

Dagur: Your leg. Never mind. I heard all about it.

Hiccup: You heard all about what?

Dagur: You. The Red Death. Defeated it all on your own.

Hiccup: What? Me? Look at me. How is that even possible?

Dagur: Right? That's what I thought too, but then I heard about the trained dragons, and that got me, well, kind of tingly.

Meryl raised her brow in confusion at the last part of what Dagur said.

Hiccup: Trained dragons? I do- I don't even-

Meryl: ( walks to Hiccup, standing in between him and Dagur ) What my boyfriend means to say... How would you even train a dragon?

Dagur: I don't know. How would you?

Onyx: ( changes the subject: ) Alright then. Who's hungry?

Stoick then starts leading Dagur to the Great Hall.

Stoick: It's this way, Dagur.

They heard a roar in the distance behind them. Stoick, Gobber, and Dagur then turned to Hiccup.

Onyx: ( lies with a nervous expression: ) Sorry, that was me. Boy, I'm hungry.

Dagur: Makes sense. You're are the tallest out of the four of us younger vikings.

Meryl: Come on, Dagur. This way.

Meryl, Gobber, and Dagur walked away and Onyx followed after them to the Great Hall.

Stoick: ( to Hiccup: ) Get that dragon out of here.

( Meanwhile, On Outcast island )

Alpha looked at Mistake's wound as Mistake was taking a nap, and saw that it was almost fully healed, which caused him to purr as he was waiting for her wound to heal before making their escape from Outcast island and take the young Scalewalker back to his pack. He then jumped and hid inside one of the empty baskets as he heard footsteps coming to Mistake's cell, Mistake then woke up and stood up with a purr as she saw Alvin and Savage were standing at her cell door, with her rope leash.

Alvin: ( to Savage: ) Leash her and take her to the arena, it's about time we see her fighting skills in battle. ( To Mistake: ) Today's the day you truly prove your worth, Mistake.

Mistake smiled excitedly, while Alpha mentally growled as he knew that whatever Alvin was planning to do to Mistake, wasn't good. Savage then opened the cell door, and puts the leash around Mistake's neck.

Alpha secretly followed them as they left the prison, and he stayed in the shadows as Mistake was put into the arena. Alvin and Savage watched from above the arena, as monstrous nightmare was placed in the arena with her. It growled at Mistake, who approached the wild dragon with a smile, thinking it was a new possible friend, but when she got too close to it slashed it's claws at her face, Mistake's eyes widened as she felt a sudden pain on her cheek, there was now a scratch wound on her right cheek under her eye, it didn't bleed a lot but it was deep enough that it'll definitely become a scar. Alvin, Savage, and a few outcasts laughed from above, Alpha silently growled protectively. The monstrous nightmare growled at the young Scalewalker dragon, who just looked at them with widened eyes filled with sadness and betrayal, Mistake then glanced at the wound on her shoulder, and remembered the pain she felt after she helped the riders, which made her growl at the Monstrous Nightmare, she jumped at the dragon and tackled it to the ground with a growl, showing her fangs and her tail flickering in anger. Alvin and the Outcasts watched in amusement, as Mistake digged her claws into the dragon beneath her 's skin, glaring at it, she then raised her left talon, preparing to strike at the dragon, but she then saw Alpha looking at her in the corner of her eyes, the speed stinger shook his head at her, telling her to not end the nightmare's life. Mistake gave him a slight, barely noticeable to the Outcasts watching her, nod and she just gave the Monstrous Nightmare a matching scar to the one it gave her and got off of it, then knocked it out with a single hit of her tail. She then looked up at Alvin, who was amused by what he saw of her strength, as he found Mistake's reaction to getting wounded after the dragon rejected her attempt to become friends with it, useful.

After she was put back into her cell in the prison, Alpha sneaked back into her cell when the vikings left. Mistake's eyes were filled with sadness and slight anger.

Mistake: ( to Alpha, in dragon: ) Alpha... Are Alvin and the Outcasts my pack...?

Alpha shook his head and told Mistake that true pack wouldn't just watch her get hurt or put her in a cage, he then told her that Alvin and the Outcasts were the enemy, and explained to her that a enemy is someone just wants to cause them pain. Mistake then touched the wound on her cheek and looked at her own blood that stained the palm of her talon. Alpha then told her that he has a plan on how to escape the island and go to his pack, and he told her that his pack was her true pack, and that they would make sure no one would hurt her again.

Mistake: ( weakly, her voice raspy due her normally speaking in dragon: ) Escape.

Alpha purred and nuzzled Mistake's side, and she slowly laid down on her stomach, and Alpha began licking the wound on her cheek clean to ease the pain.
