Chapter 53

( A/n: Part 3 of When Lighting Comes )

The Dragon Riders gathered in the village when the storm stopped.

Hiccup: Another storm is coming.

Meryl: ( tries to walk away with a scared expression ) Goodbye!- ( Hiccup grabs her hand, stopping her from leaving )

Tuffnut: Thor tore a hole in the Great Hall. Maybe he's hungry? I know I am. Tida stole my breakfast when I wasn't looking this morning, I mean, I was upset and proud of her at the same time.

Hiccup: We need to make Thor happy. But what do you get the god of Thunder and Lightning?

Fishlegs: In the past, I know Thor's enjoyed a sacrifice or two.

Ruffnut: Let's sacrifice Tuffnut!

Tuffnut: Okay, what time should I be there? There better be fire involved. And a barricade so Dad doesn't charge in and save me.

Meryl and Onyx looked at the twins like they were crazy, which they probably are.

Hiccup: Nobody's gonna be sacrificed!

Snotlout: Not yet, anyway.

Astrid: I had an aunt who was cursed by Odin once. She had to pay tribute to him by sailing to the end of the Earth.

Fishlegs: Did it work?

Astrid: I don't know. I guess she couldn't find it, because she kept showing up from the opposite direction.

Onyx looked at Meryl with the " Should we tell them? " expression, and she shook her head " no " as she found the fact that vikings think the earth is flat, funny.

Fishlegs: The gods have never been mad at anyone from our family. Knock on wood. Hop on one foot. Slap a Jorgenson.

Onyx: I like the last one.

Snotlout: If I were Thor, I would want a giant statue. Of myself, Snotlout, as Thor.

Astrid: You do know we're trying to make him happy?

Snotlout: Exactly!

Meryl: Nope! Ain't doing that.

Astrid: I think I just threw up in my mouth.

Onyx looked at Astrid with concern.

Hiccup: Actually, that's not a bad idea.

Astrid: It's not an idea, it's a reflex.

Hiccup: What? No! I-I mean the statue.

Astrid: There I go again.

Meryl: Nope! I love you, Hiccup, but I ain't doing that.

Hiccup: No! Not Snotlout! Thor!

Fishlegs: Hmm, Berk has ever given Thor a statue.

Hiccup: Well, then it's high time we did!

Meryl: ( to Hiccup: ) I'm going to check on Liv, she's been... What's the right word... Restless, even though she's asleep?

Hiccup: I understand, we'll come get you when the statue is finished.

( Slight Time Skip, at Meryl's house )

Meryl went to check on Liv, and saw that stuff had been thrown allover the room, even though Evergreen has been sleeping in the kitchen all day.

Meryl: Huh. ( Looks at the sleeping Liv ) Maybe it's a Galdr thing...

Meryl then heard a knock on her door, and she opened it to see Astrid and Onyx.

Astrid: It's time. Everyone is gathering to see the statue.

Onyx: How's Liv?

Meryl: She's... okay.

They then went to gather for the revealing of the statue with the villagers of Berk. Mrs. Thorston and Mr. Thorston were in the crowd with Tida holding Mr. Thorston's hand.

Hiccup: Attention! Attention everyone! Okay, so, I know we're not exactly Thor's favorite people right now, but I am confident that this beautiful statue will got a long way toward getting us back in his good graces! So, without farther ado...

Hiccup and Toothless pull off the cloth that was covering the statue revealing it.

Mrs. Thorston: Oh my... Thor will definitely love it.

Mr. Thorston nods his head in agreement to his wife.

Stoick: ( to Hiccup: ) Well done! Thor will appreciate this tribute, and will smile upon us once again!

Mildew: You really think this is enough to appease the mighty Thor, while you allow a Night fury in your midst?!

Tida started to cry as Mildew's yelling as scaring her, which made Mr. Thorston and Mrs. Thorston to glare at Mildew, and the twins saw that their father handed Tida to their mother and saw that he was walking towards Mildew behind him as the old man continued talking.

Tuffnut: Oh no.

Ruffnut: Dad's mad.

Mildew: YOU'RE FOOLS! ALL OF YOU!!

Mr. Thorston picked Mildew up by his staff and turned the old man to face him, and spoke to the old man with a extremely deep and intimidating voice.

Mr. Thorston: ( to Mildew, sternly: ) You are scaring my daughter and acting very disrespectful. So shush or I'll break your skull, capiche?

Mildew: ( scared: ) Y-Yes. M-My apologies.

Mr. Thorston then puts down Mildew and walks back to his wife and daughter. Everyone else were in shock, as it is rare for Mr. Thorston to speak, and when he does everyone still gets surprised by the sound of his voice.

Tuffnut: ( to Ruffnut: ) His our own father, and even I can't believe that's his voice.

Ruffnut: Yeah. Same here.

( Meanwhile on Outcast island )

Mistake was fast asleep, when Alpha used his tail to open the cell door, as the Outcasts still haven't figured out that it was unlocked. He left the prison and saw Alvin talking to Savage, he hid behind a couple of barrels and listened to the conversation.

Alvin: We can't lose another dragon or prison, those riders already took Mistake's human body. The last thing I need is more problems!

Savage: Y-Yes, sir. We'll sort things out very soon. And we have nothing to fear, the Scalewalker is completely under our control.

Alpha silently growled when he heard this, he knew what a scalewalker was and found out that Mistake was one, but to him it didn't she is part of his pack, and he knew that they needed to escape and he knew that the sooner the better. That's when the alpha speed stinger had an idea, and he sneaked his way out of the room and back into the prison in Mistake's cell. He laid down beside Mistake under her wings, as he planned their escape and reunite with his pack in his head.
