That night the captain sent olivia home to get some sleep and told her to come back with a clear head the next day.

Olivia arrived hom and slammed her door and threw her keys on the counter still very frustrated over the situation. She got in a warm shower hoping to clear her mind for a while.

As she got out of the shower she toweled off and changed in to some tights and a baggy sweatshirt before sinking on to her couch. TV guide magazine was sitting on her table and the front cover was Brenna promoting the new show 'raising lacey' that she was on. Now as she sat there her mind could do nothing else but think of how that girl would be in danger going back to her guardian and that network.

As Olivia's mind was wandering a knock came to her apartment door and she walked over looking through the peep hole and seen Melinda. "Mel. What are you doing here?" She asked confused.

"I have to talk to you about something and I didn't want it to go on record yet." Melinda replied cautiously.

Olivia let her in and walk to the couch to sit with her "what is it?" Olivia asked with confusion still on her face.

"Olivia have you ever given birth to a child?" Melinda asked looking in to her friends eyes.

Olivia was shocked. She had never told anyone about her pregnancy. "Why are you asking me that?"

"Its important liv." She pressed.

Olivia hesitated but said "yes a few years ago...I got pregnant while undercover in the eco terrorist group." She admitted but didn't say how.

"So that means your child would be around 5 to 6 years old?" Melinda lead on.

"Yes but what does that...." she started and her heart jumped to her throat "does this....does this involve the Raines case?"

Melinda nodded "it does. Brenna Raines is your biological daughter." Melinda finally announced.

Olivia was in shock. She never thought she'd ever get to see her daughter. Part of her had regretted giving her up all those years ago but because of how her daughter was conceived she wasn't sure she could be a good mother to her. Now her daughter was growing up a worse life then she ever wanted for her. "And your positive?"

"Yes I ran the dna 4 times to be sure. Olivia she has never been formally adopted. She's under the control of an appointed guardian but she is not her legal parent. Have you ever thought of....getting her back?"

Olivia stood and walked to the kitchen pouring wine for both of them still processing the information she had been told. She came back with the glasses and bottle and set them down before sinking back in to the couch next to Melinda. "I...I have thought about it but...I'm a single woman with no family and...a high demand job...and the way she was conceived was....I just didn't know if I'd be a good mother to her."

"Olivia...we're you raped? Because I checked her locked records and the birth mother was listed as a persephone Jones." Melinda said.

"I...I was assaulted but I never reported it. And my fbi handler Agent Porter helped me hide it and give her up for adoption under the name of my undercover alias persephone." She started "you are the only person besides me and him that even know I had a child Melinda." She continued.

"I'm so sorry olivia that must have been....difficult." Melinda replied feeling sad for her friend that she had dealt with this alone for so long. "But...now I think it will come out during trial and you have a decision to make on how you want to proceed with this."

Olivia sighed and nodded pouring a second glass of wine. "Yeah."

Melinda patted her shoulder "I should go and let you think."

"Yes...um...thank you Mel." She said and watched her friend leave as she leaned back stareing at the livingroom wall in thought.
