A Genuine Smile

Marinette: Woah Jagged, your song was incredible.

Luka: I agree with Marinette. Good job dad.

Jagged: Or..Thanks Luka..Marinette.

Give it up for Jagged and his new song called 'Voice'. Next up, we have Gabriel Agreste's new line of outfits for the season. His son Adrien Agreste and his plus one, Lila Rossi will be modeling as well.

Marinette: Ok guys, we're on after this. Be ready.

Bruce: Marinette. You look lovely tonight.

Marinette: Why...Thank you 'dad'. You don't look too bad yourself. How's your son's soulmate Lila going? Must be a total drag....

Bruce: Ha ha, very funny. If I'm being honest, I prefer you to be my daughter-in-law than that misguided little girl. Are you ready for your big reveal?

Marinette: Yup. Any songs you'd like me to sing from our album?

Bruce: I apologize but I've never heard any of your songs before.

Jason: Wow Bruce, you're older than I thought.

Tim: Leave him alone, Jay.

Dick: Hey blueberry. You and your band goes on after this, then the big reveal, right?

Marinette: Correst is right, Richard.

Lila: Marinette, Why did you call him Richard if his name is clearly Dick?

Marinette: Because unlike you Lila, I have friends in 'high places'. Go back to model or did Mr. Agreste simply only have one dress for you to model. Shows his appreciation for you.

Lila: Marinette are you that jealous of me? That you didn't get to model for your favorite fashion designer?

Marinette: My favorite fashion designer is MDC. I just can't wait to see who he or she truly is.

Damian: And I don't think Mari has anything to worry about. As you can see tonight, Gabriel allowed his son to wear the hat Marinette made for him tonight...while you....you're just his accessory.

Lila: I know where I'm not wanted. So I'll leave you...after all I have a 'thing' after the fashion show. Bye.

Marinette and her band mates made their way onto the stage in different outfits and wearing their masks. They held microphones in their hand as they were starting off the night with their first ever songs. Marinette:

Before that happened, Marinette told Jason that she might sing his favorite song tonight as a surprise for Lila. Jason grinned and picked her up and swung her around in the air, laughing with joy. Thanks pixie pop!

They announced their first song and they started. One song after the next...until three songs later she said that she'd reveal herself for their last song...DARKSIDE.

Marinette got to the 2nd part of the 2nd verse and while singing, walked down the stairs to a certain someone who was hiding in the crowd.

Marinette: *takes her mask off*Don't wait for truth, *now in front of Lila with an empty, death glare and a grin staring into her eyes*To come and blind us, Let's just believe their lies. *walks to the side of her*

Believe it, I see it, I know that you can feel it, No secrets, worth keeping, *Lila begins to tense up as she sings near her ears*So fool me like I'm dreaming. *now she was just plain terrified with a look of emptiness and fear on her face**Marinette walks back to the stage and joins her friends who took off their masks as well*

The boys were laughing and snickering under their breath. And so was Damian. Jason began tagging along to the end of the song. The song ended.

Now it was onto the new lines of songs.

Luka:

Applause echoed throughout the room at the songs. Now was the finale. The reveal of MDC, the famed fashion designer. Marinette then went to the front of the stage and announced.

Marinette: Good night one and all. As you can see, I Marinette Dupain -Cheng, Luka Coffaine and Kagami Tsurugi are the members of the band, I'm Nettie, Luka's Blue Viper and Kagami's Drake-Fencer. Now for the reveal of MDC. I'm also MDC, the secret fashion designer behind the scenes. Nettie was the nickname a friend of mine gave me. Rose, if you're watching this, thank you so much. And as for MDC, those are simply the initials of my name. The dresses and suits of me, my band mates and the Waynes are examples of my work. Thank you...to all those who supported me through rough times and helping me see the brighter side of...well the moon. Thank you. *applause*

She stepped down from the stage and made her way over to the batfamily and her band mates. Dick placed his hand on her head, Jason wrapped his arm around her neck, Tim rested his hand on her shoulder.

Marinette turned her head to see her husband standing behind her and genuinely smiled. Her eyes widened at the sight of seeing him actually smile for the first time. She simply smiled back.
