Chapter One

12:21, 4 August 2024

"Yongbok!" Felix's dad called out.

Today Felix was going with his dad to work.

Why?

Felix had no idea.

But every time he asked he got no answer, so he just let it be.

Felix had finished getting ready and now he was just heading downstairs to leave the house.

~ Time Skip ~

Felix and his dad had just arrived and now they're going over the rules.

"So, Yongbok, you're not allowed to go anywhere without permission okay?" His dad said sternly.

"Okay Dad, but I'm not a kid, why do I need permission?"

"I don't want my boss getting mad at you, or me, for having you just wandering around the place!" Felix's dad said, waving his arms around towards the end like a crazy person.

"Okay Dad," Felix giggled softly.

As they got out of the car and were heading into the building, Felix took a mental note of how big the building was.

The building was huge!

The inside was luxurious, the place was a big glass building with a lot of desks and comfortable couches and a lot of people walking around.

Felix, being the shy person he is, was overwhelmed at the number of people there so he immediately asked his dad where his office was so they could just get the day over with.

~ Time Skip ~

Throughout the day Felix's dad was doing some paperwork while Felix, himself, was simply on his phone, playing games, texting his friends, or watching a show.

At around 4:00 in the afternoon, his dad's boss came by.

"Mr. Lee?" His boss, Hwang Hyunjin, asked.

"Ah! Mr. Hwang! Hello sir," Felix's dad said as he got up and bowed.

"Have you finished the reports I gave to you yet?" His boss inquired.

"Um, no not yet sir, I'm nearly finished," Felix's dad said, clearly nervous.

"Hm, I expect them on my desk by 10 am tomorrow at the latest. Understand?" Mr. Hwang said.

Felix's dad's eyes widened as he quickly nodded.

It was obvious he was not close to finishing in Mr. Hwang's eyes, but something, or should I say someone else caught his eye as he was looking down at Mr. Lee.

Lee Felix.

That is what caught his eye.

The cute, small, blonde-haired boy sitting in the back looking at his phone with a smile on his face, is what caught Mr. Hwang's eye.

"Who is this?" Mr. Hwang said.

Mr. Lee looked back toward Felix and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Yongbok! Introduce yourself!" His dad whispered - yelled to him in English, making Mr. Hwang just a bit confused by the sudden language switch.

Felix stood up.

In Hyunjin's eyes, he looked so cute and cuddly, he nearly blushed.

But he composed himself.

"This is my son," Mr. Lee told Hyunjin, switching back to Korean.

"Hello sir, I'm Lee Felix, nice to meet you," Felix said in somewhat broken Korean as he bowed politely.

They're still adjusting to life in Korea, so Felix isn't all that good at Korean just yet, but Mr. Hwang didn't mind.

He found it cute.

Hyunjin nodded to him, acknowledging his presence.

"This is my boss, Felix, Mr. Hwang," His dad introduced them to each other but Hyunjin wasn't listening.

He was too busy admiring Felix's unrivaled beauty.

When Hyunjin left them alone all he could think about was Felix.

As he got back to his office he was only thinking about how cute he looked.

How a natural, light, blush was spread across his cheeks, and how his cute freckles fit his face so perfectly.

Hyunjin was lost in his thoughts when his secretary came in, holding Felix by his arm.

"Sir! I found him roaming the halls, what should I do with him?" She asked with a sly smirk like she just did something praiseworthy.

"Nothing Ms. Biseo, just leave him here," Hyunjin told her without batting an eye.

She frowned slightly at the cold tone used but she let Felix go and walked out.

"Sit. Please, Felix right?" Hyunjin asked, his tone no longer cold and the air no longer tense but instead a kind tone and comfortable aura.

To say Felix was confused was an understatement.

All Felix was doing was going down the hall, heading back from the bathroom when that lady, Ms. Biseo, came up to him and grabbed him, telling him he was in big trouble.

He had no idea why but she seemed happy about it, he heard her mumbling about how "Hyunjin will finally notice me" or "I can finally get his praise!"

Talk about a desperate bitch.

"Yes. I'm Felix" Felix said with a polite bow.

He didn't know why, but he felt embarrassed for getting in trouble.

I mean he won't deny that Mr. Hwang was hot but he didn't know why he felt the way he did about a guy like 6 years older than him.

"I'm Hwang Hyunjin, nice to meet you. Personally, I mean," Hyunjin said with a kind smile, making Felix melt inside.

"You can call me Hyunjin if you would like," he added.

"Okay. Should I go back to my dad or...?" Felix asked he didn't know why he introduced himself or why he was still there but he didn't really wanna leave.

"Oh, actually I was wondering why you were roaming the hallways," Hyunjin said with a bit of a sheepish smile.

Hyunjin and Felix had no idea why they wanted to stay together, but they did.

They simply found comfort in each other's presence.

"I was going back to my dad's office when she grabbed me and took me here is all," Felix informed him.

"Ah, okay, well I do have a few questions. Would you mind answering?" Hyunjin said sitting down and sinking a little.

Why do I keep doing this?

Why don't I want him to leave?

Hyunjin thought to himself.

Hyunjin was unfamiliar with feelings like the ones he had right now.

He has never felt this way, Felix on the other hand has before, but it ended horribly.

The dude was a jackass.

(A/N : He hurt our sunshine 😤)

"That's fine!" Felix said, giving a warm smile and sitting down on the other side of Hyunjin's desk.

"Okay, so first, why did you come with your father here today?" Hyunjin said putting his hands on his desk and leaning forward.

This was an actual question he wanted to ask Felix, he wanted to know why he was there not like he was complaining though.

"I have no idea, I asked my dad countless times but he wouldn't answer me," Felix replied with a small pout.

Adorable.

"Hm. Okay, second how old are you?" Hyunjin asked, he wanted to make sure he wasn't feeling, well, the way he was feeling, for a minor.

"I'm 18, you?" Felix answered.

"23," Hyunjin said.

Great, not a minor.

Although he was happy about this, he did feel a little guilty.

I mean, that's like a 5 year age gap.

Not too long but it's still up there.

He knows he wasn't even supposed to fall in love, his parents would hate it.

Especially since it's not a female.

He'll have to hide his feelings, of course.

Well, at least Felix was only there for today... right?
