A few days had passed. Jasper almost seemed to be getting worse. Without any proper medical treatment, the younger Jordan twin could die.

Sophia paced around the dropship worriedly as Clarke tried to tend to Jasper. "You know, you're pacing around like that is making it harder for me to focus." Clarke pointed out.

"Yeah? Well, it's my brother. I'm going to be worried and pacing until he gets better." Sophia snipped back, making Clarke sigh, looking over at the Jordan girl.

"Why don't you spend some time outside the dropship? Some fresh air might be nice to clear your head." Clarke suggested.

Sophia frowned worriedly as she stared at Jasper for a few minutes before sighing in defeat as she headed outside. Her eyes squinted as she adjusted to the sunlight.

"Oh, hey Charlotte." Sophia waved to possibly the youngest of all the delinquents. "You look like you haven't been sleeping." She frowned.

"It's probably because of all that screaming your corpse of a brother keeps making at night," Murphy grumbled tiredly, moving slightly when Sophia shoved him.

"If it's so much of a problem, why don't you go shack up with Bellamy like the little lap dog that you are?" Sophia questioned, making Murphy's brow twitch.

"I am NOT a lap dog." Murphy glared at Sophia. His attention shifted when Bellamy waved him over. Murphy sighed as he walked off.

"Oh, look at him being such a good little lap dog~" Sophia taunted with a grin.

"Go float yourself, Princess." Murphy flipped Sophia off as he walked away.

"Arf!" Sophia jokingly barked at Murphy, making Charlotte giggle slightly. Sophia smiled down at the 12-year-old, gently ruffling her hair.

"Glad to at least give you a laugh." Sophia smiled softly at Charlotte. "If you need anything else, you come find me, or Clarke, or Finn, hell I can't believe I'm saying this, but even Bellamy. You find one of us alright?"

"S...sure...Thanks, Sophia." Charlotte smiled small. Sophia ruffled Charlotte's hair once more before continuing on her stroll around the camp.

The Jordan girl eventually spotted Murphy and Bellamy throwing sharp objects at one of the trees. No doubt it was to be prepared in case the grounders chose to attack.

"You know, we gotta stop running into each other like this, Princess," Murphy smirked before returning his attention to what he and Bellamy were originally doing.

"It's not that big of a camp. And it's not like I was actively searching for you. I was just taking a walk." Sophia muttered as she watched the two training/throwing.

"Bellamy!" The three looked over to find Atom coming over with a worried frown.

"Atom. What's wrong?" Bellamy questioned.

"It's Trina and Pascal. I haven't been able to find them. No one in camp has seen them since they headed out yesterday afternoon." Atom frowned.

The sound of Jasper's painful wails echoed throughout the camp, making Sophia frown worriedly.

"You know, that's not really helping with the morale around here," Atom muttered.

"Shut up, Atom. He's injured. Why don't you get impaled and be potentially suffering from an infection?" Sophia hissed.

"If it were me? I'd want a bullet to the head. Just put me out of my misery."

Sophia's teeth gritted. Her fists clenched as she tried to resist starting a fight, as much as she felt Atom deserved to be beaten.

"Murphy, stay here. Keep practicing. I'm going to take a group out to do some hunting and maybe figure out where the hell Trina and Pascal went." Bellamy ordered before walking away with Atom.

"Atom's got a point, you know. Maybe you should start considering just putting that poor fucker out of his misery." Murphy said as he walked over to the tree to pull out the makeshift knife he had been throwing.

"That 'poor fucker' is my twin brother," Sophia argued.

"Your twin brother, who is basically at death's door. You said he possibly had an infection, right? How exactly are we supposed to tend to that without any medications?" Murphy questioned.

"I-"

"He's in pain, Princess. It's better to put him out of his misery instead of giving him a painful death." Murphy shrugged as he threw his knife again.

"Jasper wouldn't give up if it were me. I'm not giving up on him."

"See, that's your problem. That stubbornness. That want to do anything to keep your brother alive. That's going to screw you over in the long run. The longer he's in pain and screaming like that, the more people are going to want to kill him, and they'll kill you to get to him if you stand in their way." Murphy pointed out, turning to face Sophia.

"If I wanted your opinion, I'd ask. Just go back to playing with your toys." Sophia muttered as she started making her way back towards the dropship.

Murphy watched Sophia for a moment. A frown formed as he watched her disappear into the dropship. She was going to get herself hurt or worse with all that damn caring. She needed something to protect her. There may not be much in the way of weapons, but Murphy did pick up a thing or two from Bellamy with the stone knives the older male had shaped and carved.

Sophia entered the dropship to the sound of Jasper screaming out in agony while Clarke was cutting away infected flesh.

"You're going to kill him!" Sophia panicked.

"If I don't cut the infected flesh, he's going to die! He might he going septic, Sophia. If I don't do this now, there may be nothing else we can do." Clarke frowned as she worked.

Sophia grew more worried and anxious when Bellamy entered, looking ready to finish the job.

"Bellamy, don't!" Sophia got between the makeshift cot Jasper was on and Bellamy's. The taller male's anger grew as he stared down at Sophia.

"She's got until tomorrow. After that, I'm killing him myself." With that, Bellamy stormed out of the dropship.

"Bellamy's wrong, Sophia. Jasper isn't a lost cause. At least not right now. You see this?" Clarke showed Sophia the poultice that was used to cover Jasper's wound. "It's seaweed. Finn and I found some when we were looking for Jasper. If I can get out there and grab some more...I should be able to save Jasper."

Sophia's eyes widened as she looked between the seaweed and Jasper. She looked back at Clarke. "Let me come with you-"

"No. You should stay here with Jasper. In case anyone tries to come in and kill him while we're gone. I'll be back by the evening." Clarke promised before getting up. "Just make sure he stays hydrated." She added before heading out.

Sophia nodded as she sat down next to Jasper, grabbing a damp cloth to gently wipe his forehead. "Don't worry, Jasp...you'll be on your feet again in no time."

Jasper only let a pained groan out in response. Sophia frowned worriedly whilst she kept the cloth on his forehead. Her attention shifted when she heard footsteps coming into the dropship.

"How's he doing?" It was Octavia. She sat down on the other side of Jasper, looking him over with a frown.

"Clarke cut away some infected skin...she thinks he might have been septic. Finn and her went out to get some seaweed. It looked like the grounders used that as a poultice." Sophia looked over at the girl on the floor.

The two sat in silence for a moment before Octavia spoke up, "Your brother's actually kind of cool. Pretty sure he saved my life when we all went out to try and get to Mount Weather."

Sophia perked up, looking back up at Octavia. "Jasper Jordan playing hero? Now this I've got to hear."

Octavia smiled as she told the story. "There was something in the water...like a snake or something. It grabbed my leg and pulled me away. Jasper was the first to jump in and rescue me."

Sophia grinned in amusement as she looked down at her brother and then back at Octavia. "Oh, he's definitely got a huge crush on you." She teased.

Octavia's face flushed slightly as she smiled, shaking her head. "Ah. He was just being nice."

"You did hear the shock when I questioned Jasper playing hero, right? He's like Shaggy or Scooby-Doo, saving the heroics for actual heroes. He's definitely into you, Octavia." Sophia grinned.

"Right...I'm gonna go look for Atom, I'll see you later, Soph." Octavia got up, heading out of the dropship.

"See ya, Oct."

"Don't think too much about this," Murphy mumbled as he set a makeshift knife next to Sophia with her initials carved into it.

Sophia's brows knitted as she looked at the knife before looking up at Murphy from where she was sitting. "And why exactly should I take this? There's gotta be a catch, right? Some trick? You poisoned the handle, and I'll die instantly if I touch it, that's it, isn't it?"

"Jesus-...no, Sophia. What? I can't do something nice?"

"You? You, John Murphy, doing something nice for me? For me, Sophia Jordan? Did I hit my head? I feel like I've entered an alternate reality-"

"Just take the damn knife, princess. A lot of people around camp seem ready to kill the lost-...Jasper. Can't have you be completely defenseless?" Murphy looked down at Jasper.

"Though...the kid's dying anyway, I might as well get it over with-" Murphy grunted when Sophia pressed the knife he gave her to his throat.

"Touch him and I won't hesitate to slit your throat, roach." Sophia seethed.

"Alright. Alright. Jesus, Princess. Glad to know you're not the type to hesitate threatening people with that thing." Murphy stepped back, rubbing his throat where the blade once was.

Sophia glared at Murphy before frowning when she heard the other delinquents come running in, followed by the dropship door closing.

"What's going on?" Sophia frowned.

"How the hell should I know?" Murphy rolled his eyes as Monty came up.

"Mont, what's going on?" Sophia questioned again.

"Acid fog. Everyone who was at camp got inside. We closed the door until it passes." Monty explained before looking at Murphy.

"Why is he up here? He didn't try to kill Jasper, did he?"

"He did. But he made the mistake of giving me my own knife before that." Murphy simply rolled his eyes as he made his way back down to the other delinquents.

The next night rolled around, Clarke had returned with the seaweed and immediately got to work on Jasper while Bellamy ordered the others to give Clarke whatever she needed while she worked.

Sophia's brows knitted slightly when she noticed a few delinquents missing. She perked up slightly when she heard Welles say he was going to start digging graves.

"How many were lost?" Sophia questioned as she stood next to Bellamy, whose arms were crossed.

"Trina and Pascal still haven't been found...I'm guessing they died in the fog. As for Atom...he was dying. He begged me to give him a mercy kill. I tried...but" Bellamy frowned, brushing off the semblance of weakness. "Clarke gave him a merciful death. Welles is digging his grave so we can bury him with the others." He mumbled as he walked away.

Sophia watched Bellamy go before heading back inside the dropship to find Octavia, Monty, and Finn sitting around, near Jasper, whilst drinking whiskey.

"Where the hell did you find whiskey?" Sophia questioned as she grabbed the bottle, taking a swig from the bottle, her face scrunching at the burn.

"Secret." Finn grinned.

"Can I have some?" The four heads shot over to see Jasper, conscious, lifting his head as he looked at the bottle.

"Jasp!" Sophia was the first to Jasper's side. Tears of relief slid down her face as she hugged him tightly. "Thank god you're alive..." she mumbled, tightening the hug slightly as Clarke came in to see Jasper was alive.

"You're gonna have one hell of a scar." Clarke smiled small as she stood on Jasper's other side. "Thanks for not dying." She joked.

Later on in the night, Sophia was sitting by the fire, eating her dinner later than everyone else had.

"I was beginning to wonder if you were actually going to eat tonight." Murphy's voice echoed.

She wasn't sure if it was the buzz from the whiskey still in her blood or if it was the fact that her brother was alive, but for once, Sophia didn't seem pissed at Murphy's presence.

"Are you sure I'm the roach, princess? Pretty sure your brother just proved he's one." Murphy sat down next to Sophia, his attention on the roaring fire.

Sophia just hummed in acknowledgment as she ate her food. Murphy arched a brow as he looked over at her, noting the hint of whiskey that lingered on her. "Oh, come on! What? Did Monty make up some booze and not tell anyone?"

Sophia laughed as she shook her head. "Finn found whiskey. Dunno where, but man was it good." Sophia leaned against Murphy, making him tense slightly.

"Are you drunk?"

"Is the fire burning?" Sophia questioned back, making Murphy shake his head.

"You should probably get some rest, you're probably going to be hungover in the morning." He joked as he helped Sophia up.

"I got it! I got it." Sophia waved Murphy off her as she started walking with him back to the dropship.

Unbeknownst to the two, on the way to the ship, they walked past the tail end of a murder...
