Sophia Jordan wasn't sure what to expect when she and 99 other delinquents, including her younger twin brother, were all packed into a drop ship. Jasper was strapped in next to their childhood friend, Monty, and both seemed to be talking about what kind of things they thought they were going to find on Earth. No doubt, Jasper was hoping to find more hallucinogens to smoke or eat. It was tempting to her as well. After all, she had gotten locked up for stealing medical supplies to use in some concoction she and Jasper were brewing up to smoke.

But right now, wondering what plants they'd find to smoke was the least of Sophia's concerns. Right at that moment, there were only two things on Sophia's mind: why were they being sent down now, 97 years after the world ended, instead of waiting like they were supposed to? And why did she have to be strapped in next to the nuance himself, John Murphy?

"Don't be afraid to hold my hand if the ride gets too bumpy, princess~"

There it was. Princess. That damn nickname that drove Sophia insane. And Murphy knew it.

"Never in a million years." Sophia hissed as she held onto the straps of her belt.

"Oh, you wound me, princess. I don't know how I'd ever survive." Murphy taunted with a mischievous grin.

"Maybe you won't have to worry about surviving. Maybe you'll die as soon as we impact with Earth. You'd be doing humanity a favor." Sophia muttered, letting out a small grunt as the dropship jostled around.

Murphy watched Sophia for a moment before rolling his eyes. A couple of kids purposely unbuckled themselves, floating around in the zero-g. Sophia could already tell that wasn't going to end well at all as the ship started jostling around more as they got closer to Earth.

Sophia's head hit the back of her seat, making her hiss in pain, her hand instinctively reaching out to grab what she thought was her chair, only to realize it was Murphy's hand as he started grinning smugly.

"Guess it's been a million years." Sophia opened her mouth to bark back an insult, stopping herself as the dropship finally landed. Sure enough, those two kids who unbuckled themselves had died from how quickly they got thrown into the wall.

Sophia's eyes shut tightly as she squeezed Murphy's hand. Her heart was pounding from the adrenaline as she slowly opened her eyes, noting that she and the 97 others were disoriented.

"You're still holding my hand, Princess," Murphy whispered with a mischievous grin, making Sophia immediately let go.

"Go float yourself, Murph," Sophia muttered as she unbuckled, walking over to her brother and Monty.

"You guys alright? That didn't feel like an easy landing..." Sophia frowned worriedly, looking the two over.

"Ah, we're fine, Soph! We've been through worse on the ARK." Jasper grinned.

"Yeah, but nothing like crash landing on Earth. Are you sure you're alright?" Sophia frowned.

Before any response from Jasper or Monty could come out, the door to the drop ship opened, temporarily blinding the delinquents.

Sophia's eyes screwed shut momentarily before opening once more. Her eyes widened in awe as a few of the delinquents stepped outside, being the first of the 100 (97 actually) to step foot on earth.

"WE'RE BACK BITCHES!" Octavia's voice echoed back into the dropship whilst other kids started stepping out.

Sophia grinned slightly as she stepped outside as well. She hesitated briefly as she stopped at the end of the platform, one foot hovering off the earth's soil.

"It's not going to bite, you know." Murphy teased from the ground.

"It's not gonna bite, you know." Sophia mocked in an annoyed voice as she stepped down. Her breath caught in her throat as she looked around, taking in the wooded scenery in awe.

It was beautiful. Better than anything shown in the history books or in Pike's Earth Survival classes. This was real. Vibrant.

Her brows furrowed slightly as she looked around. "I thought we were supposed to land at some place called Mount Weather...for food and medical supplies..." Sophia frowned in confusion.

"That's what we're trying to figure out right now." Welles frowned as he, Clarke, and Finn looked over the map.

"We should take a small group of us to investigate, try and figure out where Mount Weather is. In the meantime, everyone else should look around the area and see if there's anything we can use as food. Berries, small animals, even." Welles suggested.

"Yeah? And who put you in charge? Just because daddy dearest runs things up on the ARK doesn't mean we're going to listen to you down here." Murphy squinted, scratching at his nose.

"It's not about who's in charge, Murphy. It's about basic survival." Sophia frowned.

"Oh, yeah, of course you'd try and kiss up to the chancellor's son." Murphy rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Wanna run that by me again, roach?" Sophia snapped back, getting closer to Murphy.

"Guys!" Clarke frowned, "Welles is right. There are food and supplies for us all at Mount Weather. We need to figure out where it is."

Sophia stood in front of Murphy, glaring at him for a moment longer before moving away from him.

Finn, Clarke and Octavia decided they were going to go investigate. After Clarke suggested potentially needing more people, Finn turned around and grabbed Jasper and Monty by the backs of their necks. Both teens looked confused as they turned around.

Sophia frowned worriedly as she looked at her younger twin and her best friend. "You...you two just don't do anything stupid. Stay close to the others. Monty, I know you don't need that be careful lecture...just make sure Jasper doesn't get hurt or anything."

"He'll be fine, Soph. We'll all be fine. That's why it's a group of us going." Monty smiled.

"Were you trying to take your wristband off?" Everyone's attention shifted to Clarke and Finn. Clarke was holding Finn's wrist, looking at some scuffs on the wristband that was transmitting vitals to the ARK.

"Yeah? So?" Finn shrugged.

"So?! Those wristbands send our vitals up to the ARK! You take that off and they'll think you're dead! Do you want the people who care about you thinking you died, or do you want to see them again in two months when they come down?" Clarke questioned.

Sophia awkwardly looked around at the few who were gathered. Her brows knitted slightly when she noticed the look on Bellamy's face. He was plotting/scheming something and that look made Sophia feel uneasy.

Sophia watched as the group of Monty, Jasper, Octavia, Finn, and Clarke left in the direction of Mount Weather. Another uneasy feeling washed over her as she watched her brother disappear into the trees.

Please be safe. She thought to herself. Just please don't let anything bad happen to her twin brother.

"You do know it's an i and not a y for that spelling of die, right?" Sophia questioned as she walked past Murphy, who was carving the words "FIRST SON FIRST TO DYE" into the side of the dropship.

"If I were looking for a spelling lesson, I would have asked, princess." Murphy rolled his eyes as he stepped back to look over his handiwork.

"We're not enemies down here, Murphy. We're all trying to survive-"

"His father floated mine. As far as I'm concerned, he's an enemy." Murphy pushed past Sophia, making her stumble slightly.

"Are you alright?" Sophia looked behind her at Welles and smiled softly.

"Yeah. Just Murphy being Murphy. Did you find any water?" She questioned.

"Not yet. We're going to head out again in a bit..." Welles' voice trailed as he looked at the carving.

"He does know that's not how it's spelled, right?" Welles questioned, making Sophia grin.

"Oh, trust me, I told him and he got all pissy." Sophia joked as she looked over, spotting Bellamy talking to Murphy and Mbege.

There it was again. That uneasy feeling. What was Bellamy plotting, and what was he dragging both Johns into? And why are they looking at their wristbands?!

When the evening hit, Sophia and Welles left the dropship in confusion. There was a lot of cheering and hollering, as well as a fire roaring with life.

Sophia scanned the area, her eyes widening as she watched wristbands being tossed into the fire.

"They're taking their bands off!" Welles frowned. Sophia spotted Murphy about to take someone else's band off. Her anger flared as she stormed over to him.

"Murphy! What the hell are you doing?! Don't you know those are sending our vitals?! The ARK is going to think we're dying!" She scolded, her shoulders sagging as the people taking their wristbands off just laughed at her.

"That's the whole point, Princess. What do you think they were really going to wipe our records? Give us a clean slate? It's them or us. We're just picking the option that makes the most sense. Now, why don't you and your little wannabe chancellor boyfriend come over here and take those things off?"

"Welles isn't-" Sophia shook her head. That wasn't important at the moment. "We're not taking the cuffs off-" she got cut off by one of the bandless delinquents grabbing her, pinning her down and forcing her to put her wrist on the rock they were using.

"Get off of me! Get the hell off!" Sophia screamed, thrashing around before crying out when Murphy put his knee on her hand to keep it still.

"Struggling is just going to make this harder, princess." Murphy simply stated before slipping the blade between her wrist and the band.

"Don't-" It was too late. The loud crack echoed in Sophia's ears as the wristband broke off. Sophia's stomach sank as she watched her wristband get thrown into the fire.

She faintly heard the speeches both Welles and Bellamy were preaching but she didn't care. In that moment, she just glared daggers at Murphy as she got to her feet.

"Oh, don't look at me like that. You'll learn to thank me for this, Princess." Murphy smirked.

"Go float yourself, Murphy," Sophia muttered as it started raining. She went back into the dropship while the other delinquents started hollering and cheering all over again about real, actual rain.

Morning rolled around, and Sophia made her way out of the dropship to find Welles sitting nearby without a wristband. She frowned as she walked over to sit next to him.

"They got you, huh?" She questioned.

"Yeah...while everyone was asleep. Bellamy lured me away...both Johns jumped me and then took the wristband off..."

"Damnit..." Sophia frowned.

"Soph...over half the others took their bands off last night...they're going to think something is wrong..." Welles frowned.

As Sophia was about to respond to try and comfort the chancellor's son, the group that had left came rushing back. Clarke, Finn, Octavia, Monty....

"Clarke! Where's Jasper?" Sophia questioned as she quickly got up to see the group, who looked as if they had seen a ghost.

"You took your wristband off?!"

"Against my will. Focus Clarke! Where is my brother?! Where's Jasper?"

The four went silent. Solemn expressions on their faces.

"No. No no. He's not. He can't be"

"He was impaled on a wooden spear, Soph. I...we don't think he made it." Finn frowned.

"You don't think? That's not good enough for me, Finn. Take me to where you guys were! Take me to Jasper! This is your fault!" Sophia pushed Finn as her worry grew.

"It's too dangerous, we-" Finn sighed when he saw the look on Sophia's face. "Alright. Give us a minute. We'll get another group together and go out to find him."

"Thank you..." Sophia sighed in relief as she made her way into the dropship to gather her jacket and bag.

"Welcome to Earth..."
