-Mai POV-

My boyfriend's management actually ALLOWED HIM, to walk me home. Of course detective Seung is watching us, but from a far, he wanted us to have our privacy.

It's all very much appreciated, it feels like the beginning, unreal.

"Babe are we really here?" I asked and looked at him, "Are you really walking me home and is your management really ok with us dating? Like???"

He giggled and kissed my cheek, "It's real baby, all real. I can't believe it myself."

I looked down and smiled more, "Wow.."

He put his arm around me and held me close to him, I smiled at him and literally enjoyed this moment.

Until of course, I remembered something that sent chills throughout my body.

"Uh..Hoseok?" I said and stopped walking.

He released me and his eyes met mine, "Yeah?"

"I think your management should check on Eunhye. The ceo?"

"Wae?" He asked in confusion, "Is it because of that question she asked?"

"No..it's just.."

-Flashback-

I stared deeply into her eyes until I noticed the shape of her pupils.

My eyes widen slightly and I felt cold.

The woman cleared her throat and got up and left the room with no answer.

??!!!

HB: Uhhh....I'm not sure what just happened?

I think I know.. but I think its best I keep my mouth shut until I get somewhere safe..

My mind is just going insane right now, I cannot believe I just realized the scariest thing ever.

DS: Mai? Are you ok?

Manager: Why did Eunhye leave so suddenly?

Because that wasn't Eunhye...

-End of Flashback-

"Babe?" Hoseok shook me.

I looked at him, "I think Shin-Mae killed her."

He took a step back, "What??"

"I know it sounds crazy but just hear me out, when I was in the conference room...I noticed something.. something very odd."

"What did you notice?" He asked.

Just then a police car pulled up and out came Jae, "Mai? Hoseok? Is everything ok? Why'd you guys stop walking?"

I sighed, "It's fine.. I just-"

Hoseok: Mai claims she saw something weird in the conference room.

Detective Seung stood next to us, "What'd you see?" He asked me.

I took a deep breath, "Shin-Mae. I saw Shin-Mae."

Hoseok: !!

DS: No, that's impossible. I was in there with you?

"Seung Jae... I think we're dealing with someone who's not even HUMAN!" I told him.

Hoseok: Mai..

"As crazy as it sounds... I think Shin-Mae can merge into anything. Either clone herself as someone else or an animal or.. maybe anything. I think it's creepy, maybe she's like.. a demon or something."

The silenced and dark streets was actually setting that mood, that creepy horror mood, it almost feels like someone is watching..

Hoseok: Uhm.. Detective Seung can you drive me back? I'm actually scared now. Thanks babe ㄱ.ㄱ

DS: Wait a minute.. I'm not following?

"Shin-Mae must've killed the ceo and merged into her, so in other words, she was the one in the conference room! Didn't you find it strange when she started saying obnoxious things??? I mean it makes sense! She wanted to hurt me..

Hoseok: ..

DS: Well.. yeah? But.. hm. You might be right but I doubt Shin-Mae can merge into anything. That isn't real.

"I know, but Jae her eyes... they had that cat like shape! Just like Shin-Mae's!"

Hoseok: Stop saying her name! It's really creeping me out.. *looks around in fear*

DS: Alright, everyone in the car, we'll talk about this more somewhere indoors.

Hoseok agreed and allowed him to drive us home.

-Seung Jae's House-

Lena was thrilled to have heard the great news, but I destroyed that after telling her what I KNOW I saw.

Lena: Merging just isn't real.

DS: Thats what I'm saying!

"But it doesn't make sense why she'd say weird shit... I mean.. Jae you heard what she was asking me."

DS: Mai, I think you're just paranoid.

Hoseok&Mai: What?!

Lena: Girl.. I'm with him on this one. Perhaps you've been traumatized enough, you scare yourself.

DS: Your mind must've played a trick on you.

"No!" I snapped, "I know what I saw was real! Shin-Mae was in there and she wanted to hurt me!"

Hoseok: Babe.

He held my arms and made me look at him.

"Hobi I'm not lying!" I defended, "I know what I saw was real! She can merge into things!"

Hoseok: Mai, I love you. You know that right?

"Yeah.. but-"

Hoseok: The girl I love doesn't scare herself like that.

Fuck, he doesn't believe me.

I moved away, "Why isn't anyone believing me!"

Lena: Chill, please..Mai..

DS: Ok, before shit gets out of hand, lemme just call the ceo right now. I have her number. Gimme a sec.

"No!" I said and tried to stop him but Hoseok grabbed me.

DS: Yes hello? Hi, Eunhye.

I gasped, "It isn't her! It's Shin-Mae!!"

Detective Seung gestured me to shut it

DS: I'm just calling to make sure you're alright, are you?... ah you're home. Ok, no everything is fine, but.. actually, since I got you on the phone.. I was wondering why you asked Hoseok's girlfriend such.. questions. Were you serious?

I bit my lip but then immediately knew I was right all along. That what I saw, WAS real, Seung Jae had this shocked and disbelief expression.

DS: o-ok.. ok.. t-thank you.. hehe.. yeah.. bye.

-click-

He looked VERY surprised, as if he heard the worst news yet.

Lena: Detective...?

Hoseok: ....uhm..

DS: She said she didn't go to work today so she had no idea what the hell I was talking about.

OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT.

Hoseok: No.. no you're lying!

Lena: Mai what the fuck!

"I told you guys!"

DS: I.. I still don't believe in merging.

Hoseok: That bitch might still be in the building!

Lena: Well what the fuck are we waiting for?! Call someone!

DS: I have a better idea.

-@ Big Hit-

Detective Seung called Hitman Bang and asked him to round up the staff. Every staff member, even the ceo.

He said if she's there, he'll arrest her.

Because IT'S NOT the ceo, it's Shin-Mae behind "a mask", however, he didn't tell Hitman Bang why he should, but no one knows we're on our way.

He also orded for all BTS members to be separated from all staff, they were to be sent straight to the dorm immediately with a few authorities as well.

Hoseok, Lena and I were told to wait outside the room while detective Seung does his thing.

It's been 5 minutes.

Lena: Yo.. I don't know but.. I'm actually fucking happy I'm in the Big Hit building.. like.. this is a dream come true!

My boyfriend giggled.

"Lena." I said, "Seriously? Detective Seung could be in there right now, arresting a massive psycho path and you're here-"

Lena: Yes yes and yes. Don't judge me, have you forgotten that I'm a fan girl too?

I rolled my eyes, "Whatever.."

Hoseok: You guys are funny.. tehee..

Finally, detective Seung stepped out.

Fingers crossed!

He was by himself, I saw staff members leaving, like nothing.

"Uhm.."

Lena: Did you catch her?

Hoseok: ..

DS: No..

My heart dropped.

Lena: Great! -_-

Hoseok: She wasn't in there?

DS: Some said they watched her leave, so..

"She got away. Again."

Hoseok: Alright. You know what? Who fucking cares!

"What?" I said in disbelief.

Hoseok: So what if she's out there? You and I don't have to hide anymore AND we'll be protected 24/7 now. If Shin-Mae wants to attack, then let her! See if she's willing to anyways. I highly doubt it.

DS: Why?

Hoseok: If she keeps this shit up, for sure all of South Korea's cops will be looking for her, she doesn't stand a chance.

He actually makes a good point..

Lena: I like where this is going..

"Hobi.."

Hoseok: Mai, for now we should just be happy we can be together without having to ever hide again. Ok? Who fucking gives a shit about Shin-Mae!

Although I'm still horrified from the whole situation, I couldn't help but smile.

It's been a whole month since word got out, my face is all over the internet now and everything has been..

Ok.

Like it's unexplainable how nearly everyone supports our relationship, even Jimin's.

Hoseok and I see each other on a daily basis, his management is actually not that mean. They were kind enough to fit me into his schedule so that we can see each other often. I thought it was so sweet of them to do so, sometimes they invite me over, I even gotten along with some of their stylist noonas and staff. I really feel like I'm apart of this family, even Eunice.

Eunice actually started an instagram account and occasionally posts selfies with Jimin. Every post literally gets over 100,000 likes and gets reposted over a thousand times. It's crazy.

I mean, I refuse to post anything on the internet but somehow my personal Twitter account and my instagram account and my fancafe account have all been discovered.

Since then, I've been "hiatus" on all of them, Hoseok and the guys continue to update on all their social media accounts though. Some of them take selfies with me and post it, especially Hoseok, he occasionally posts a lot..

Which is kind of annoying but, I guess he loves showing me off? I don't know, but I don't mind at all.

Last night we celebrated our 9th month anniversary, it was splendid. He took me to this extravagant hotel where I received a full pamper and of course, got a lot of love from my boyfriend.

He never fails to satisfy me..

-phone rings-

Oh?

'Hobi<3'

I smiled and answered, "Hey~"

"Hello my precious~ you set?"

"I think so.."

"Good, I sent a cab to pick you up and bring you over to the station."

"Alright, I'm going now, see you soon~"

He giggled, "Bye~"

Today I show my face on international tv.

For the first time ever.

I agreed to appear on an interview with one of Korea's best host. To discuss my relationship with Hoseok and answer other questions as well.

Lena thinks it's stupid but, I think it's a smart idea, I want his fans and everyone else to know what I'm like. Or at least get an idea.

However...

I really hope they don't bring up a specific topic.

I know I'll get all nervous and I'd hate to remember..but I always remind myself..

Lee Shin-Mae.

It's been a while since I've last seen her or encountered anything involving her and it actually feels great to finally live a little but..

She's scary as fuck.

She's not human.

No matter how many times everyone, such as my boyfriend, Lena, and detective seung tell me, "merging isn't real stop scaring yourself", I know it's real.

I saw it with my own eyes!

*beep beep*

I gasped and faced the door.

Oh..It's just my cab, phew.

Damn..maybe I should just chill..I'm making myself go crazy, with that in mind I quickly go to my kitchen to retrieve my anxiety pills. They calm me down, detective Seung suggested I get some prescription for my 'condition'. He really thinks I'm insane for believing in merging. It isn't my fault though.

Just as I was about to pop them in, I heard the cab honk again which startled me. I ended up dropping the pills and down the drain they went.

I sighed in frustration.

"Fuck.." I hissed.

As I stood there debating what to do, besides the obvious, I thought of something.

Perhaps...I can skip taking my pills for today? I actually want to feel normal again since things are ok now.

Besides, Lena isn't here to force me to take them, she's already down at the station.

I smiled, "I'll do just that."

I put away my pills and left in minutes.

-@ the broadcasting station-

After one of Hoseok's make up stylist dolled me up, I went out on the set to get used to my surroundings.

I found no one on set until I realized they were all smiling and enjoying their time backstage.

Hoseok, Lena and the guys were there.

"Hey~" I greeted.

Lena: Did you take your pills?

First thing she asks me -_-

I force a nod, "Of course.."

Lena: Good. *smiles*

Now lets hope I'm ok..

Jungkook: Hey Mai ^-^

Jimin: You ready to go out there?

Eunice: I still don't know how you agreed to this, I said no like a hundred times!

I giggled, "I'll speak on your behalf if you allow me?"

Eunice: Ok (:

Namjoon: I'm sorry to be asking this but. Are you afraid?

Hoseok: Really dude -_-

"Uh.."

Jin: It's ok if you are, I was nervous when we appeared on our debute stage..

Yoongi: Keke yeah he sure was, his pants fell down.

Jin: MM! Can you not!

Jungkook: Oh yeah! Hahah xD I forgot! He cried afterwards too!

Yoongi: Bahaha! Yeaahhhh!

Jin: I hate you guys.

Jimin: Anyways.. you good?

"Well.."

Taehyung: I'm sure you are. You got this.

I smiled, "Yeah, I do."

Staff: Mai?

"Hm?"

Staff: You're on in 10, wait 5 minutes after the broadcast has started, ok?

I nod, "Yes, of course."

He nods and continues to work.

Hoseok: Well I wish you luck, I'll be out there after they call me out..but you'll be out there on your own for the first 30minutes.

"I know."

Lena: Keke Kookie stop! *blushing*

Yoongi: What are you doing to her?

Jungkook: Tickling her~

Lena: Haha! Stop it ><

Eunice: Aw how cute!

Yoongi: Aw how annoying.

Jimin: Hey, I'm heading back to the waiting room.

Eunice: *holds Jimin's hand* same!

Taehyung: You two are nasty!

"How?" I asked.

Taehyung: I bet they're thinking of getting down..

Eunice gasped.

Hoseok: That was unnecessary.

Jimin: Haha you know us too well~

Eunice slapped Jimin's arm.

Jimin: Ow!

Eunice: You wish! *stumbles away*

Jimin: -_- thank you, Tae. *runs after his girl*

Taehyung: *giggles* you're welcome!

Jin: They're so cute when they fight. Doesn't anyone else agree?

I smiled, "I do!"

Yoongi: Same.. Hwayoung is shorter than him and all.

Jungkook: *continues to tease Lena*

Namjoon: ....*not even gonna say anything cause he's too cool*

Soon, the broadcast started and strangely, all my fears went away. I actually felt prepared to go up there.

Hoseok: Alright Mai, good luck.

I kiss him, "Thanks.."

Lena: Good luck bae! I'll be back here watching.

Jungkook: *wraps his arms around Lena's waistline* Let's see if you'll keep your word~ *drags her away*

Lena: *blushing* Jungkook stop!

Jin: This is unacceptable, Jungkook you're too young! Who taught you such things? *goes after the maknae*

Yoongi: Yeah just make it more obvious will you... aish! Lena come with me! You're safer!

I think Yoongi may be crushing on Lena, which is totally adorable but.. Lena won't know who to choose. It's actually such a coincidence, at first, Lena's bias was Yoongi, then she switched to Jungkook.. now look. XD

Taehyung: I wish I had someone to tease.. Mai do you have more friends?

Hoseok: Stop distracting her!

I giggled, "Thanks guys.."

Host: Eveyone, please welcome, the lucky fan girl herself, Mai Diamond!

*applauding*

I take a deep breath then confidently step out and wave to the crowd, I got a lot of cheers as I set my way to sit beside the host.

There's so many lights and cameras everywhere, this is really cool.

"Annyeonghaseyo! I'm glad you made it on stage, Mai." He said.

And he speaks perfect English! Wow.. ok, I guess I won't have to worry about messing up my Korean. Or mispronouncing anything.

I smiled, "Well I guess I was destined to be here.." I answered earning a few laughs from the host himself and the crowd that stood before us.

No one told me there would be a live audience. Now I'm much more determined.

We each took our seats.

"Ahem, alright, well we can start off with confirming you are dating Jung Hoseok.? Right?"

I nod, "Yes, that is very true. 9 months now."

Crowd: Ooohh~

I chuckled.

"That's impressive, how have you managed to maintained your relationship for that long?" He asked.

"Well...It wasn't easy, that's for sure, we had our ups and downs.. a few breaks up here and there but.. we always stood by each others side." I said.

"Mm.. and its true that you two have encountered something with Lee Shin-Mae, correct?"

"Yes, but I'm glad to say nothing too crazy has happened." I smiled.

He smiled back, "Good, now explain something to me... how are you so gorgeous?"

I blushed and lowered my eyes, the crowd cheered and I felt flustered as well.

"I'm not sure how to answer that but I'll accept the compliment." I told him.

"What do your parents think of this?"

"I'm sorry..what?"

"Your parents? What do they think of your relationship with an idol~"

He was smiling warmly but I didn't smile at all, only because I never had that close loving relationship with my parents. I never saw them again since I've moved to Korea, they didn't even care that I left..

-Flashback-

Mai was only 19.

I was ready to leave the house until my mother called for me.

Shit..

"Mai? Mai where are you going.." she asked.

I turned to look at her, "I already told you where I was going."

My mother took a sip of alcohol.

Dad: No ya didn't stupid.

..

Mom: Why is your fucking room empty? You moving out or something?

"Mom I'm leaving to finish studying elsewhere."

They both exchanged looks and laughed hysterically.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

Dad: What's the point in studying if you'll get no where?

Mom: You're wasting your time, stupid girl, go back to bed.

"No." I muttered.

Dad: Gosh you're such an embarrassment!

"How?!" I exclaimed.

Mom: Don't you raise your voice!

"How am I an embarrassment?!" I asked, "You guys are the drunken parents 24/7! If anything YOU'RE the embarrassment! I'm leaving and never coming back!"

They bothed laughed too hard at my response, it literally bought tears to my eyes, they never cared...they never will..

Mom: Whatever..

Dad: Go on..I think it's a blessing you're leaving.

My heart ached.

Mom: Why are you still standing there? Leave! Get out of lives!

Dad: Shut the fucking door!

I shut the door before he threw the beer bottle at me, it smashed against the wall and I ran away.

I ran away and never looked back.

-End of Flashback-

"Actually.. I never spoken nor seen my parents since I was 19." I said.

His eyes widen slightly, "What? What do you mean?"

"I moved to Korea a while back and since then.. I never kept in touch."

"Is there a reason?" He asked.

"Yeah.."

I began to open up about my background story, how I learned to become independent.

"Wow.. now that's something to feel accomplished about. Everyone lets give a round of applause for Mai!" He said and started clapping.

Everyone cheered and clapped as well, I smiled and nearly cried but I kept it together.

"Wow.." he stopped clapping and looked at me, "So.. now I'm wondering how you really managed to maintain any sort of relationship? I mean.. it must've been hard to love someone else if you were never exactly given the example."

I smiled, "Good point but I actually had some common sense why my parents were like that, they weren't always like that but, I actually had a very good friend by my side. She's my unbiological sister, whom I love so much."

"Ahh.. does she live here as well?"

"She doesn't but she's staying with me for a while, in fact I think I may persuade her to stay, it's good to see her often."

I hope she heard what I just said, she better not be distracted by Jungkook.

"Ah that is very nice, isnt it?" He asked, the crowd cheered.

So far this interview has been going well! I hadn't noticed that it's almost over. Hoseok still needs to step out.

He asked a few questions regarding my personality and stuff but now it was time for my boyfriend to step out.

"Now, you all know him as J-Hope, but-"

Girls screamed and cheered so loudly I nearly jumped.

The host chuckled, "Jung Hoseok come on out here man."

The girls screamed once J-Hope stood out in he open, waving and smiling. He sat right next to me and greeted me with a kiss. I gasped.

Everyone screamed even more, it was sort of a bit over exaggerated.

I blushed.

Host: Young love~ Oh how I remember my days..

Hoseok: Haha thanks.

Host: So Hoseok

Hosoek: Yes?

Host: How do you feel from all of this?

It was silent, I looked at my boyfriend.

Hoseok: Hmm.. how do I feel? Well.. I don't think there's a way to describe it but.. I'm relieved. In fact, I feel content with the fact my fans accept Mai. They want me to be happy and it's obvious Mai succeeds. I truly appreciate all the support I've been gaining with my relationship and it only makes me wake up every morning.. and be very grateful. *looks at Mai* grateful to have you.

I blushed.

Host&Crowd: Awww~

We smiled at each other.

Host: Mai whats on your mind?

I giggled, just as I was about to speak, something in the crowd caught my eye. My instincts made me look at the audience, I wasn't sure what I was looking for, but something felt odd.

My eyes met with..

"Shin-Mae.."

Hoseok: What?

Host: ....

The crowd started to mumble things as I continued to stare at them. I lost sign of her.

Then one of them tilted their head slightly and smiled ever so creepily. I saw the jagged teeth.

My eyes widen in fear.

Another one had dark eyes and was glaring at me with an ugly smirk.

I held Hobi's hand.

Hoseok: Mai?

Then finally, I saw one giggling and laugh to themselves, wearing a dark coat and looking right at me.

It's her. It's Shin-Mae.

She licked her lips and winked at me, then put one finger over her mouth and gestured me to 'sshh'

I cried a screech and ran off the set.

The crowd was startled.

Hoseok: Mai! *runs after her*

Host: Uhh-- we'll take a break now. Cut!

I ran and ran until someone caught me in their arms, making me scream and squirm.

"MAI CALM DOWN. IT'S ME!" They shook me.

Detective Seung.

I cried and burried my face into his chest, he consoled me.

"Mai!"

Hoseok.

He came forward, "What was that? What happened? What'd you see?"

Lena: Is she ok?! I saw what happened!

Eunice: Unnie!

Soon everyone that was there to support me came running toward me with worrisome.

Even the host.

DS: Mai what happened?

I pulled away, Hoseok held on to me as I forced myself to admit what I had seen.

Host: impossible.

DS: Mai, this whole place had security in ever corner. There's no way she would've gotten in.

"She can merge into anyone!"

Hoseok: Again with that?

"It's not a joke!"

Lena: Did you take your medication?

I stood silent.

Lena: You didn't. Ugh. Mai what the hell? This is exactly what happens. I can't believe you!

I looked down in shame.

Hoseok: Hey don't be so hard on her.

Lena: Hard on her? Oh please! She clearly isn't ok.

"Just shut up, Lena." I scolded.

DS: Mai, that wasn't a smart thing to do.

I sighed, "I know.."

Host: But aside from that, are you ok?

I forced a nod.

Host: Good cause we need to wrap this up.

DS: Are you kidding me?

Lena: She can't!

Host: That's show biz. *walks away*

DS: Mother-

"It's ok.. it was my fault I nearly fainted out there. Sorry guys.. but he's right. We gotta finish this."

Hoseok: You sure, babe?

I nod, "I'm positive.."

DS: *sigh*

I think it was a bad idea to have skipped taking my medication. Perhaps it was my imagination, regardless, I can't let this ruin my interview

Hoseok and I went back out there and continued our interview as if nothing ever happened. It was quite hard for me since I kept looking at the audience but thankfully we got it done and over with

Host: Welp! That's a wrap, I hope that cleared the rumors and hopefully Mai and Hoseok can continue being happy. You guys got anything to say?

Hoseok: No. I'm just happy. That's all.

I smiled and held his hand.

Host: *smiles* Until next time guys!

And cut.
