Jeju Island (PT. 2)

"Have you ever been to Jeju Island?" My boyfriend asked.

"Uhmm..no.. but what are you-"

"Let's go then!" He cheered.

"What?" I asked in disbelief.

"C'mon it'll be fun, you and me on an island, exploring nature, learning new things and best of all, enjoying each others presence." He said.

I smiled at the thought of it, but this is unacceptable.

"No." I rejected.

"Haha!" He laughed, "Too late, Mai. I got us tickets already, booked our hotel, and my bags are packed. I'm waiting on you." He said.

"Liar," I retorted, "I bet you have nothing prepared and don't have the slightest clue where to start."

He sighed, "Yeah exactly..."

I giggled, "What is wrong with you?"

"Hey, I naturally have a positive mind so.. you can't blame me." He defended.

"Well I hope you aren't serious."

"I hope you aren't serious thinking I'm not serious." He answered.

"That doesn't make sense."

"It makes perfect sense! Oh please Mai just come! Please!" He begged.

"No!" I rejected, "Hoseok you can't, you're J-Hope, you got a career to work on-"

"When are you ever going to get it through your little head that I love you and that I'd do anything, for you."

"Despite that I'm famous, I feel normal when I'm with you because you know the real me. You love me for who I am.. like literally." He explained, "I don't think I'll ever find another girl that actually gets me, you and I have something very special, maybe more special than Hwayoung and Jimin. Especially after ALL we've been through," he added, "Look, all I'm saying is, why can't you take those risk for me too?"

Damn it, I hate when he does this to me, making me look like a bad girlfriend.

I sighed and smiled, "You're right.."

I giggled, "Babo.."

I laughed and shaked my head, "So how are we going to do this?"

"Hmm.. well, Jimin said I should lie and say I need to be home.. make it seem like a family emergency?"

"What?" I exclaimed, "No that's stupid, plus it's wrong."

"Got any better ideas?"

"Exactly."

"But don't use that excuse!" I told him.

"Mai, I'm going to do whatever I can."

I frowned, "Why? Wait no.. ugh. I just don't want you to go through the trouble."

"And I want to relieve happy times with you."

"Hobi.."

"I'm going to make up an excuse and I'll call you tomorrow to inform you whether we're doing this or not. Ok? For now just stay put. ARASSO?"

"Is everything ok, Mai?" Lena asked as she sat beside me.

I looked at her, "Sorta.."

She put her arm around me, "Wanna bake while you rant?"

I smiled, "It's the best thing I can do!"

We giggled and went to make cookies and cupcakes and all that good stuff.

"No way! So he's trying to be romantic I see~" Lena said.

"I guess... but I mean, I understand what he's trying to do, but my gut tells me that could wait. You know?"

"Mm-mm." She shook her head, "I don't see why it should wait, like girl, you're dating Jung Hoseok, do you even know what that means?"

I rolled my eyes.

"Mai," she said, I looked at her, "You're literally the luckiest girl EVER. Like haven't you realized that? This shit doesn't happen just because, it's happened for a reason, and that is, y'all were meant to be."

"Oh please."

"You can say whatever you want but you even know how lucky you are. Despite the horror that's happened, he's still with you, and here he is, still trying to be the best boyfriend he can. Now if you roll your eyes again, I'm going to slap you."

I giggled, "Bitch, you wouldn't."

"But hey, don't let that put you down, remember, no one knows the truth. Yet. So I say, make the best of it. Go to Jeju Island with Hoseok and spend it freely, smile, laugh, make love. Do everything you can before your luck runs out." She said.

I never thought Lena would be saying all of this to me, it makes perfect sense and it actually motivates me to listen to her. For once.

"You really think I'm that lucky?" I asked.

She nods, "The luckiest, look at me? I'm Jungkook biased but the only thing we've done is talk about art and crack jokes, and even with that, I still feel like I don't stand a chance."

"He's 19 here. You're considered 22."

"Don't change the subject," she said, "Even if him and I exchange numbers and keep in touch, there's just no way we'll date. One, I'm in love with him, but he's like my baby, and two, I know he deserves better."

"You don't value yourself?"

"I know I wouldn't be fit for him, but I still love him."

"Soo..how is this relevant to my situation?"

"Hoseok knows MILLIONS won't ever approve of you, but he will STILL love you."

I smiled then went to hug her, "Thanks."

"For knocking some sense into you? You're welcome."

I giggled and pulled away, "I love you so much, really, you're like my sister."

Cupcakes are ready~

"So what are you going to take with you while you're away?" She asked and sat at the counter.

"Uhm..ok, I'm not sure if Hoseok and I are actually going so.."

"But what if he actually pulls it off and confirms it. What'll you take?"

I set the tray on the counter, "I guess clothes? Duh."

She laughed, "I think you should bring something special.."

I looked at her suspiciously, "Special?"

Lena came back with a white rectangular box.

"What's that?" I asked.

"See for yourself, I picked this up not too long ago and I think Hoseok would really appreciate it."

"Just open it!" She demanded and handed me the box.

-Next two days-

"I'm giving you 1 week, ok? I hope your mother feels better and you take the time to cope with this." My manager said.

I cheered inside but I nod respectfully and escort my way to the elevator. I need to get to the dorm, finish packing my things and tell Mai let's go!

Manager hyung actually believed me!

I told him my mom was sick and that I anxiously needed to be there for her.

But of course that's a lie, and my sister got my back, I called her and told her what's going down. Only her and my members know about Mai, I could never keep a secret from my sister. And thankfully, she was totally ok with it. So I'm very grateful to have her on my side.

Once I reached the dorm I immediately started to finish packing, my sister also hooked me up with the traveling strategy and expenses AND our hotel so, Mai just needs to pack and we're off!

"You're leaving already?" Taehyung asked as he walked in.

"Yep, just gotta call Mai." I said.

"That won't be necessary."

I looked at him.

"I already told her, she's waiting for you by the jet."

"Oh my gosh how long has she been waiting?" I exclaimed.

"She just got there."

"How do you know?"

"She texted me."

"Why'd she text you and not me?" I asked.

He shrugged, "I don't know." He said and walked out.

I checked my phone.

I dialed.

"Where are you?" She asked.

"I'll be on my way soon, I didn't know Taehyung had already told you. I WAS supposed to tell you but.. yeah."

She giggled, "Its fine, I can wait."

I arrived just in time before the small jet airplane departed.

Mai and I got our luggage in and soon we boarded and flew off to Jeju Island~

-On the Plane-

Mai was totally admiring the view from the window.

"Hobi?" She said.

"Yes?"

She looked at me and held my hand, "These past months... have been memorable for me.. despite the horror.. I can't believe we're still together."

I smiled, "I can, I love you."

"I love you too."

We exchanged a kiss.

"If we ever get caught... will you still stay with me-"

"Yes." I answered immediately.

Her eyes widen a bit.

"I don't care what anyone has to say, nothing is getting in between us unless its death." I assured her.

She smiled widely, "I'm so lucky.."

"Nope." I told her, "I'm the lucky one here, I found someone who can relate to me. I found someone who I can be myself around, I found someone to love more than just a fan."

My grip tightened around her small hand and my heart beated drastically.

She doesn't understand how much I value her.

By the look on Mai's face, I know she was blown away by the place. It's literally almost like paradise.

It's breathtaking.

"Hoseok...is this real." She said.

I hold her hand, "Yep, lets head to our hotel room and settle in."

She smiles as she agrees.

We didn't really settle in, all we did was dump all our bags then leave in a rush. Even I was anxious to explore and admire how beautiful this place is.

Mai and I first checked out the big old tree that's over thousands of years old. I was quite surprised to find myself interested in all the historical facts this place got. If I could choose to stay here, I would, with Mai.

Then after, we checked out the beach, I didn't want to get wet or anything, but knowing my girlfriend... that wasn't an option.

She laughed and smiled, she did it all at once and I couldn't bare but to admire her more or fall for her moooree.

This girl has it all, despite that I know many won't accept her, I hope she doesn't let that get to her. I love her so much that I'd do anything to protect her. As cliche as that sounds, it's the truth, I love this girl and nothing will change that.

"Ahhh~" she sighed in relaxation and layed down on the soft sand.

I giggled and did the same.

Mai turned over and looked at me, "Hey babe."

"Hmm?" I hummed and turned over as well to lock eyes with her.

"I'm glad I decided to come, it's been just one day and I already love it here."

I smiled, "Me too, we're having so much fun, I hope it's like that for the next few days we're here."

She bites her lip, "It will be, because.. I have something in mind~"

She giggled, "You'll see~" she said as she got up and ran.

"Come and get me~" she said and ran back in the water.

I had no choice but to run into the water as well and just have fun with my girlfriend.

I admired the sunset outside the balcony as I thought about what my members may be doing.

With that in mind, I dialed Taehyung.

"Aren't you in Jeju Island?" He asked as soon as he answered the phone.

"Yeah." I replied.

"Then what are you doing calling me? Shouldn't you be spending time with Mai only?"

I looked back in the room only to see my precious angel asleep so soundly, today was a long day and I don't want to bother her.

"We had enough fun but I was just checking in on you guys." I explained.

"Enough fun? Dude, Mai's hot and you're on the phone with me. If I was you, I wouldn't even be paying attention to my phone. My whole focus would be on Mai."

I laughed, "Wouldn't you like that."

"Of course! Now hang up the phone and make love to her."

"Shin-Mae." I said in a cold tone.

She giggled, "That's right~ now, you may THINK Mai's safe with all those stupid gates around her, but trust me, it won't be for long."

"What the fuck do you want?" I asked her

"Is it me? Because if it is just take me and leave Mai alone."

"Ugh. Idiot! If I wanted you, I would've killed Mai LONG AGO."

Detective Seung needs to know what just happened, maybe that's why Jimin called.. perhaps she called him too.

With that, I texted detective Seung everything that just happened.

I turned and saw Mai outside rubbing her eye, "What are you doing out here?" She yawned cutely.

I smiled and hugged her, "Just needed some time to myself, lets go inside." I put my phone back in my pocket.

She nods and goes to the dresser.

I layed down on the bed and watched her, "So what do you want to do tomorrow?"

"Anything..as long as I'm with you." She said.

"Who's calling me?" Mai said and picked up her phone, "Seung Jae?"

He got my text and for sure he's going to make sure SHE'S ok.

"No!" I said and snatched it from her, "You're with me now..so don't answer calls." I said.

"But it's Seung Jae. He may have something important to tell me, Lena is home alone." She said.

"I know I know but.. don't you trust him?"

"Of course."

"Then don't you think he'll have everything under control?"

"Yeah but he doesn't just call."

"Mai no." I said and backed up before she snatched the phone back, "it's just you and me now."

"Give me the phone it could be urgent!" She exclaimed.

I answered the phone, "Hello Detective."

"Babe!" She exclaimed.

"Hoseok, is Mai-"

"Oh yeah," I cut him off, acting as if everything is fine, "We're totally fine hahaha."

Mai looked at me suspicious.

"What the fuck? You just texted-"

"Yeah we're having so much fun thanks for asking and we'd like to get back to that so bye!" I said.

She seemed unconvinced, "You're acting a strange.."

My arms wrapped around her waistline and I pulled her close to me, I stared into her eyes briefly before crashing my lips on hers passionately.

I broke the kiss, "Am I acting strange now?"

We kissed a little more until we realized we were too tired to actually do anything.

I layed down on the bed and stretched out, "Come here, snuggle me." I said to her as she lay beside me.

She allowed me to hold her and drift off into a deep sleep.

-The Night before the last Day-

This week has been remarkable.

Mai and I really cleared our minds from all the madness and actually forgot about the world.

Detective Seung of course did not let me off the hook, he actually sent in cops to watch over us. Which only made me be sure to not let Mai notice, thankfully she didn't but still.

Sigh.

Tomorrow we go back...I don't want to, I really wish we can stay here. We've made some pretty good memories here, especially at the beach. It was amazing.

Hmm..speaking of Mai, where is she?

Slowly, she made her way toward me, I got up and held her hands, pulling her close to me, our noses touched.

She wraps her arms around my neck and kisses me gently.

But in seconds and in a swift movement, I picked her up, she wrapped her legs around me as I pressed her up against the wall.

Heavy breathing, gasps, caresses, all exchanging in a short amount of time.

I hadn't noticed when I layed her on the bed but things were escalating quickly.

My movements stopped slowly to admire her beauty.

"Hobi.." she breathed out.

I smiled softly and passionately pressed my lips against hers as I continued with my movements

I wish this plane can go slower..We're almost home.

Mai was asleep next to me.

Sometimes I ask myself how I managed to maintain this relationship. I was never really given the example on how to keep a girl, I know the basics? But still... here I am, with the only girl I wish to marry someday.

I know I'm talking too soon, but, she completes me and I don't care about anything else at the moment.

Mai groaned softly as she changed her sleeping position, I smiled as soon as she snuggled in close to me.

"Babe.." she mumbled.

She smiled and held me, "Nothing.." she breathed out and continued to sleep.

I chuckled and kissed her head.

Before we leave Mai stops. I look at her.

"What's the matter?" I asked.

I smiled.

"I just felt like I needed to do that.. I don't know why?" She said.

I giggled, "I hope there's more where that came from."

She laughed, "Just keep walking.."

We proceed.

"Watch your step, sir." The flight attendant said.
