Udon Prison

09:06, 12 April 2022

Sorry yall, but I'm officially mentally ill. At least now I can't gaslight myself ab it LMAOOO

ALSO. if u follow me on tiktok and u see my comments.... no u didn't. There is one in particular that I hope absolutely nobody sees...---

I groaned and leaned against a huge block of stone. "I'm not doin too good," I mumbled to myself, wiping sweat from my forehead. We've been here for a little while and Luffy was already getting used to the weight of these blocks. I, on the other hand, am a normal person who's still all banged up from my fight.

"Need some help?" a voice questioned; the tone they had making it very obvious they were mocking me.

"No," I grunted, pushing myself off of the stone with a huff of displeasure.

Kid smirked and picked up the stone I was just on, "You sure? You'd just have to gimme a lil somethin in exchange and I could give you some millet tickets."

I deadpanned and decided not to answer. Instead, I pointed behind him, "Ah, wait, isn't that Luffy? I'm pretty sure he just got like 2 more blocks done while you were talking. That is just so crazy."

He spun around to see that Luffy was taking off toward the boats that we store the blocks on. The red head was quick to go running off with my block in hand. These guys are seriously not human. We were bleeding out when we first got here, and it's only been a couple days now. They're pretty much all healed now.

Luffy told me a while ago that he would be using this opportunity as a means of getting stronger, as he acknowledged his lack of strength during his fight with Kaido. Raizo found out where we were sent to a while ago, so the worries of whether the others were alive or not have been erased. He filled us in on everything that we missed, and he will continue to do so. Apparently, Shinobu created a huge sinkhole that kept everyone safe and out of sight before Kaido's blast completely wiped them off of the planet. Now the only thing that we need to worry about is breaking out of this place.

With a sigh, I broke out of my thoughts and decided to get back to work. I walked over to another huge block of stone and picked it up, raising it over my head and trudging my way toward the boats. This is like my... 230th one. I don't even wanna know what Luffy's record is right now. It'll make me feel lame.

I watched as Luffy and Kid jumped up and threw their blocks onto the loaded ship awaiting them. When I reached earshot, I could hear a prisoner yell, "Wait, wait! It's already full! This is it for today!"

"Then bring out another ship!" Luffy shouted

"You slowpokes!" Kid added.

I chuckled a little and threw my block onto the ship as well, watching to see if it sunk any lower than it already was. "Alright, take it away!" I told the men on the boat, giving them a thumbs up.

"We are!" one cried out, cueing the gate open up.

The two captains behind me decided it was time for lunch, so they left me in the dust to go grab their meal tickets. I walked after them, stretching my arms a bit. I think this'll give me... ummm... math... 46 tickets.

Once I got my bowl full of... dango? I made my way back to the cell, where Luffy and Kid already retreated. They were stuffing their faces like no tomorrow when I got there. I took a seat with my back to the bars of the cell and started eating.

"Ah! (y/n) that's way more than yesterday! Looks like you're getting better already!" Luffy chimed, having turned his attention away from his little rivalry with Kid.

I nodded, "Yea, faster than a normal person but definitely not as fast as you guys." As if to emphasize on that, the bandage from around my head went a bit slack, falling in front of my face a bit. I pushed it back up and tightened it a bit.

"You're right, you're not nearly strong enough to compete with me," Kid pipped in, like I was talking to him at all, or like that was even the topic of the conversation.

I rolled my eyes and opened my mouth to respond, but Luffy butted his head with the red head's before I could. "What?! (y/n) is way stronger than you, Jaggy! She's just hurt! And I'm stronger than you too!" Luffy retorted.

"Yea?! I don't think so! I got way more stones done than you!" Kid yelled.

"No! I got more!" my captain countered.

I decided to block them out and instead focused on my food. They always bicker like this. Their arguing only stopped when they realized they still had dango in their bowls. They ended up falling asleep when they finished eating, looking like huge human balloons. When I finished eating, I started to work on my haki again. This is probably one of the reasons why I haven't healed up too well or too fast, but what am I to do after I finish working? Sleep?

My eyes closed and I crossed my legs, activating my full body haki and holding my hands to my knees. I've been working on how long I can hold this. I've had Luffy throw a block of stone at me so I could test how strong my haki has gotten, and needless to say, I did not get any more hurt than I already was so it's going swell for me.

"You two! Out!" a guard yelled in our direction. I dropped my haki at the disturbance.

The two captains looked at the guards in confusion, turning their heads to the man lazily. The other prisoners joined them in their looking. "Uh... which ones? There's like ten of us in this cell," I told the guard.

He man facepalmed and pointed at Kid and Luffy, "You guys! Follow after me! You're being summoned!"

They reluctantly rolled onto their feet and squeezed out of the cell door with great effort. I waved the whole ordeal off and went back to what I was doing. The two of them will be perfectly fine without me snooping after them. They're captains, after all.

I slammed my pickaxe into the ground, letting my eyes wander to the side of me a bit. Luffy kept getting approached by guys who seemed very happy to see him. When he came back from being taken the other day with Kid, he told me that they beat up a superior officer from the prison, but no one technically saw them since they were in a hippo's mouth, so they didn't have to get any limbs taken off. Honestly, the explanation made as much sense as it sounded, but I just rolled with it. That's pretty much why he keeps getting talked to by random people from what I understand.

Another thing to note is that Raizo dropped in on us today and informed us that he found the keys for our cuffs. He was currently brewing a plan to get them, although they were heavily guarded. Speaking of people dropping in on us, someone rather unwanted showed up as well. Do you remember that slimy guy who made his debut in the show after our crew's big return to the world? Well he's back again because he's an idiot that got caught by Kaido's men. Now he's bugging us about getting him out of here when we have no use for him.

I threw a piece of rubble at him to get him to scurry off and we continued working. I hit him right in the eyeball so it would take a while for him to want to return.

...Hm. I wonder how Zoro is doing. And I wonder if Sanji actually still feels bad about what I said to him before I thought he got incinerated by Kaido. I thought I would regret that for the rest of my life. That's another reason why I'm glad everyone is alive.

During my little space out session, I let go of my axe when I was reeling it back, making it go flying behind me. I facepalmed and waited for it to hit a wall. Instead, I heard someone scream in pain. My eyes widened and I went running for the pickaxe.

I apologized profusely to the guy who got hit, but while I was doing so another person approached me. "You're close to that guy who helped take down a commanding officer, right?" he asked, a wide smile on his face.

Turning to him, I gave him a nod and said, "Yea, what's it to you?"

"I was just wondering. He's everybody's hero and I always see him with you. I don't wanna step over any boundaries," he replied casually.

"Oh yea? What kind of boundaries?" I questioned, leaning on my pickaxe with a brow raised.

He waved his cuffed hands, "I didn't mean anything by it! I was just asking! Some people are curious."

"Mhmmm. Then why'd you say 'I don't wanna step over any boundaries'? Emphasis on the I," I asked. I wasn't really trying to grill him over this. I don't actually care, and he didn't seem too bad, I actually think he's friends with that old man that Luffy has grown so fond of. I'm just using this as an opportunity to distract myself from work.

"I- I don't-" he stuttered a bit before shaking his head, as if to clear it, and asking again, "What's your relationship with him?"

I pursed my lips and thought for a second. I'm sure he'd spread the word if I said anything. I don't want randoms in here thinking I'm worthy of harassing since I'm single. Even if this prison has a nice few people, it doesn't mean I won't have problems with some of them. This is still a prison after all. One with only men in it. "We're together. Could you tell?" I hummed, watching his expression.

His face fell a bit, but he nodded, "Alright, I understand." He shuffled away with his pickaxe dragging behind him and he started talking to the guy he was working next to, who glanced back at me and started talking to the guy next to him. Yep, the word shall spread. This is definitely not something I will have to worry about later.

I wandered my way back to my captain and pickaxed the stone in front of me violently. "What was that guy saying? They keep on bothering me, too," Luffy grumbled from beside me.

I shook my head, "Nothing to worry about. But if anyone asks, we are together."

"Yea, we are," he said, a little confused. It got a small laugh out of me. He gave me a look, but brushed it off when I just kept working.

We talked as we worked, then Luffy was once again approached by that sludge guy. It was already nearing the end of the day so I thought we'd seen the last of him, but I was wrong. "Mister, have you thought about my offer from earlier?" he asked. "If you guys break out, take me with you~! I'd do anything! If you and I join hands, there'll be nothing to be scared of!"

"Shut up! Why don't you team up with Jaggy?!" Luffy grunted.

"With Kid? No way! His reputation is not so good. Did you know that he tried to take down Big Mom?! But rumor has it that he had his arm torn off by her subordinate, not even by her, and he escaped!" the man laughed out.

"Rumor? You're such a pathetic loser," my captain growled, continuing to strike the stone with his pickaxe.

I chuckled at Luffy's insult and commented, "Yea, who the hell's gonna believe that Kid of all people turned tail? Sound's like bull."

"No, no! I heard it from a trusted source," the guy said.

As soon as he got the last word of that sentence out, a pickaxe came hurdling at him, prompting him to scream. To no one's surprise, Kid started stomping our way. "Who is that trusted source? I've never tried to take down Big Mom. I injured one of her Sweet Generals, and I took what I meant to take," the red head stated.

"B-b-b-but your arm?!" Slimy, this annoying man's new name, squeaked.

"I'd already lost my arm before that, in a battle against the Red Hair Pirates. Any other questions?!" Kid yelled in Slimy's face. He was given a 'no'. "Then let me tell you something! You listen too, stupid monkey!" He named called Luffy to grab his attention as well. It succeeded. "I'm the one who'll take down Kaido and win glory!"

"No, I am!" Luffy countered, slamming his forehead against Kid's. Slimy was standing right between them. His dark skin was turning a white color from fear.

"What?!" Kid yelled rhetorically, keeping his aggressive and competitive tone.

I was kinda still stuck on how he challenged Shanks, or why. Out of all the people on the sea, why would he target one of the least active Yonkos? It doesn't make any sense. The only thing that comes to mind was that he wanted to be the only powerful red head on the sea, and Shanks was standing in the way of that. The battle of the red heads, per say.

~~~
In the night, we were visited by Raizo once again. He updated that Tama was doing well. We had found out that she was attacked by Kaido's men on the way back to her house, so hearing about her wellbeing was relieving. I leaned my back against the wall again when the ninja left. Luffy laid on the ground right in front of my outstretched legs, perpendicular to me. I could see that he was pulling dango from his kimono and eating them as his midnight snack.
He started groaning when he ran out of stashed food. His head turned to me after a second of complaining to himself. "(y/nnnn)...~ do you have anymore dango?" he asked, looking at me weakly.
I reached into my ninja getup and pulled out a couple that I stored in my secret boob pocket. "Sure do. Open your mouth, I'm gonna try some trick shots," I hummed, trying to find a cure for my boredom.
He smiled, "Okayyy~!" He faced the ceiling again and opened his mouth, waiting for food to appear. I started by just tossing one into his mouth. He graciously ate it. I then looked at the cell bars, deciding to aim my throws at a different one each time, still getting them into his mouth when they ricocheted off the bars.
Once I ran out, I crossed my legs and pressed my elbows into my thighs, leaning forward and resting my chin in my hands. This gave me the opportunity to look down at his face. He was chewing the food I had fed him. He smiled at me when he was done.
I reached forward and stretched out his cheek, smiling back at him. "I don't know how you do it, but you make even prison an alright place to be. You might just be magical or something, I dunno," I thought aloud.
"No, I think you're the magic one," he responded, sounding very sure with himself.
"How would I be magical?" I questioned, relaxing my hand and letting his face snap back to normal.
He held his chin in thought and tried to explain, "I told you already! You make everything... better! Better than anybody else can! Mmmmm... mmmmmmmm.... tell me how to say this."
My smile grew a bit and I shook my head, "I can't tell you what you want to say, Luffy. I can't read your mind. Maybe if we sleep then you can think better when we wake up."
He furrowed his brows and hummed some more before saying, "I don't need sleep I just need... words? And I can't sleep yet! That's why I'm still awake!"
"Then do you wanna talk? I can do that," I suggested. He nodded. "Alright, then let's talk. Do you plan on adding more people to the crew?"
"Hmmm... I first thought it'd just be 10 people on my crew, but anyone who I want here is gonna be here," he responded simply.
"That sounds like a very Luffy answer. 10 sounds like a good number though, especially since you only attract strong people," I said.
"That's because I like strong people," he chimed. He smiled bright, "...I'm happy you asked to come with us back then."
My heart melted a little and I nodded, "Yea, and I'm glad you asked me to stay. Even if these were both the worst and the best years of my life at the same time. It feels right, though."
His hands rested on his stomach and he stared at my face. He sucked in his lips and made the weirdest expression I have ever seen before asking, "Does your stomach ever feel weird?"
I raised a brow, "I mean... yea? Like when you need to throw up?"
He squinted at my face and then turned onto his stomach with an exaggerated groan, "I don't get itttt."
"You don't get it?" I repeated.
"Something Robin told me. I thought she meant I had to throw up back then, too, but she said that was wrong and... yea, she's right! It's not like throw up! I never have to do that anyway! It doesn't feel like throw up!" he almost ranted.
I laid down next to him and shrugged, "Just figure it out later. The feeling will come back, right?"
"Yea. It's your magic, so as long as you're here," he replied, rolling back onto his back.
At that, I looked at him. He was staring at the ceiling, looking confused. I joined him in that. Or at least I thought I did. When I glanced back at him, he was passed out with a snot bubble already. I facepalmed and rolled over to sleep, too. I feel like tomorrow will be eventful.
