My Enemy's Enemy is my Friend
00:47, 27 September 2021If I look up Gildarts, I feel like a picture of Shanks would make it in there. I'm pretty sure they're the same person. No hate to Fairy Tail. I actually really like it, even though it gets hella shit.---
"(y/n)! Hey! Look over here!"
I sat up from my bed and looked around my room. Why does it sound like Chopper is in here?
"(y/n)! Look! At the mirror!"
Now it sounds like Nami. Turning to my left, I looked at the full body mirror on my wall. I nearly fell over when I saw Chopper and Nami instead of my own reflection. They both started comically sobbing.
"Thank god you're alright, (y/n)!" Nami sobbed hugging Chopper to her. "We've seen so many horrible things since you left!"
"We were looking everywhere for you!" the reindeer sobbed.
Carrot popped up behind them and smiled, "Yea! One of the mirrors finally got you in one spot! Where were you this whole time?"
I awkwardly laughed, "Uhh... I was just meeting with someone. That's all." I don't need them knowing literally nothing actually bad has happened to me this entire time.
"Eh? What's with that face? What happened?" Nami asked, becoming incredibly curious.
I waved my hand, "That doesn't matter right now. What are you guys doing in my mirror? Sanji isn't in there, right? I changed in here earlier."
Chopper hopped out of Nami's arms and shook his head, "No he's not here, that's what we wanted to talk to you about. Can you come in here or are people going to come into your room soon?"
Getting up, I walked over to the mirror and placed my hand on the surface of it, "Well how am I supposed to get in there?" Carrot ran away and then brought back a huge bag that had a lady in it. "Uh... what the fuck? We're kidnapping old ladies now?"
"She's the one who attacked us first!" Chopper and Carrot shouted.
I put my hands up, "Alright alright. Now what does she have to do with me getting in there?"
"This~!" Carrot chirped, placing the old woman in the middle of the mirror. My hand that was on the mirror fell through it and I almost crushed Chopper in the process. "Her power controls mirrors!"
"Wow, that's actually a really cool devil fruit," I voiced, looking over at the woman in the bag. She lifted her chin proudly and closed her eyes. She couldn't say anything since there was something over her mouth.
I moved completely into this other dimension, coming into a pink and purple checkered space covered with other mirrors. Seriously, this is a super cool power. I didn't have time to revel in it, though, since Chopper, Nami, and Carrot began talking my ear off about what happened to them thus far. Jinbei, Brook and Pedro were here as well. What I got from the exchange of information was: Mirror lady's name is Brulee, Pudding is evil, Lola is Big Mom's run-away child, Brook got the Poneglyph, Luffy wants everyone to meet Bege so we can maybe become allies, Bege is a guy who wants to kill Big Mom even if he's part of her crew, and Luffy got Sanji to come as well.
"And where have you been, (y/n)? Did you meet with Big Mom?" Nami asked.
I nodded, "Yea, I have. She's insane and she's pretty much completed the puzzle that is my family history. She wants me to marry one of her sons because I'm part 'Celestial Dragon'."
"ANOTHER MARRIAGE?!" Chopper, Carrot, Brook, and Nami shrieked.
Jinbei stepped forward, "Who is the son she assigned you to?"
"Katakuri," I responded.
"Wh-what?" his eyes widened. "Are you sure?"
"Yea? He's like 100ft tall and has a scarf on, right?" I asked, just to make sure.
He shook his head in disbelief, "I can't believe Big Mom finally decided to wed someone to him."
I nodded, "I can't believe it either. The dude is like five times my size."
"WHAAAAT?!" the four loud ones shouted again.
Nami shook me by my shoulders, "Why are you so calm about this?! Now we're gonna make Big Mom even angrier! Jinbei just said it's a special case with you and that guy! That's even worse!"
I sighed and took her hands off of me, instead placing my hands on her shoulders, "Either way she's gonna be angry, Nami. We just have to make sure we get the hell out of here on time with all our limbs attached."
"If only it was as easy as that," she cried crocodile tears, slumping backwards and completely relying on me keeping her up.
Jinbei shifted, which caught my attention. He started talking, "Bege is waiting for us, so we should probably get to one of the mirrors in his castle." I nodded and so did everyone else. This was followed by everyone getting on a train-person-powered cart, then everyone yelling at the mirrors, with the mirrors responding somehow. Seriously, this is a great power.

"Ehhhh?! Lola was turned into a warthog zombie?!" Chiffon gasped. Nami was telling her about the whole Thriller Bark story, mostly only about Lola. Lola and Chiffon are twin sisters, and Chiffon is the wife of Bege.
Nami rubbed the soap out of her hair as she stood under the shower head and continued her story, "And she was chasing around the guy who she fell in love with!"
Chiffon laughed then soothingly patted her baby, which looked like a grown ass man in a baby's body. "That sounds like her!" the woman chirped.
"At that time and again in the forest of monsters, I don't know what would have happened to me if it weren't for Lola," the navigator explained.
"I'm pretty sure you would have been kissed by an invisible creep," I hummed, leaning my cheek on my crossed arms that laid across the bathtub rim.
Nami shivered, "I don't even want to imagine that."
"I see, but you guys saved my sister too! Thank you! Oh, I'm crying tears of joy. We have been very close since we were kids. Because we're twins," Chiffon sniffled.
I smiled, "It must be pretty cool to have a twin sister then." She nodded gleefully to me.
Carrot changed the subject as she put a handful of bubbles on top of my head, "A zombie! I can't imagine a dead person moving. The sea is a like a wonderland!"
"Yea, it was pretty surprising, even for us. Luffy thought one of them was an old man and pushed it back into the ground when we first got there. He also tamed a huge three headed zombie dog," I entertained her excitement for the topic with a little more detail into the story. She won't be able to see those kinds of things until someone eats the fruit Moria ate, so I might as well.
Her eyes shined, "Wow! A three headed zombie dog?!"
I nodded, "Yep. Anyway, Lola's shadow went back into her original body, so it's all good now, though we haven't seen her in a while." I directed that last bit to Chiffon.
"Yea, I'm sure she's still doing well as a pirate," Nami hummed, turning off the shower and wringing out her hair. "I wonder if she found someone to marry... Big Mom sounded so mad when she talked about Lola running away from marriage."
"Yea.... that was a big deal," the twin mumbled.
Nami pushed aside her shower curtain to fully look at Chiffon and said, "What?"
"It can't be that bad, right?" I questioned as Carrot put more bubbles on my head, making a tower.
Chiffon explained, "Mama is reviled by all Giants in the world for a reason."
"All giants of the world?" Nami asked. Honestly I didn't know what that had to do with the topic at hand.
"That's why even though Totto Land has a diverse population, there are no Giants," the pink haired woman said. Carrot grew a smile at that. She probably didn't know about giants either. "One day, a man showed up saying he had fallen in love with Lola at first sight and wanted to marry her. And believe it or not, he was Loki the prince of Elbaph, the Giant's country."
"A prince! Wow!" Nami commented.
"Oh so that's why you brought up the dislike between the two," I thought aloud.
"Mama became so happy and teary eyed. She thought if Lola became the princess of Elbaph, her long standing feud with the Giants would end, and she'd even get access to their army which is said to be the world's strongest," Chiffon said.
Nami walked over to the tub Carrot and I were in, swatting me away with a hand. I scooted over and the orange head began talking while she got into the tub with us, "I see. But she ran away."
"After that, everything went wrong. She tried to use me as a substitute, but he noticed I wasn't Lola. And her relationship with the Giants got even worse. Then she gave up on the idea of becoming friendly with actual giants, and started investing in research to turn people into giants. Her anger towards Lola only amplified and she was branded as a criminal in this country! If she comes back, she'll get killed!" the woman exclaimed.
I hit my palm with my fist in realization, "So Katakuri wasn't lying when he said Caesar was here to make a gigantification drug."
"He told you that?" she asked, eyes wide at what I said.
I waved my hand, "Yea but we can talk about that later, continue with your story, it's more important."
She nodded and clutched her hands to her dress, "Mama couldn't stand looking at me because I look exactly like Lola... Every time I saw her, she hit me without mercy. So for years, I always had fresh wounds. I thought I'd be killed by my own mother! I can't see that monster as my mother anymore! ... But since Lola is a happy go-lucky girl, I guess she'd never imagine that her mother wants to kill her." She smiled and tilted her head to the side.
"I see... everything make's sense now," Nami mumbled.
"So when Bege said he was going to kill Mama, I felt nothing at all," Chiffon said. "You might think I'm terrible, but that's the truth."
I shook my head, "No, I think you're incredible for even being able to stand staying here. She's the terrible one for what she did to you."
Chiffon smiled and wiped a tear from her eye. The three of us got up to get toweled off. As soon as we finished drying ourselves, the pink haired woman led us to another room which was filled with clothes. A wardrobe that was as big as my apartment back in Jaya. Carrot and Nami ran to the clothes, looking through all of the hanging items.
"Can we really wear these?!" they chimed, looking at Chiffon.
The woman nodded with a laugh, holding her baby to her. She looked to me, "You should get something, too, (y/n). Everything here is formal wear since that's what Bege likes, so you can pick anything. Make sure to keep that dress from Mama so people don't get suspicious, though."
"Good idea," I responded before walking deeper into the wardrobe.
Nami ran up to me while I was looking through the variety provided to us. Having so many options is a little jarring. I'm a bit indecisive already, so this is going to be a challenge. "Do you think I should wear this, or this?" the navigator asked, holding up two dresses on hangers. One was a red skintight dress, while the other was pink with frills around the shoulders and skirt.
"Uhhh the red one, it suits you more," I said, pointing at it along with my words.
She smiled and put the pink one on the rack I was looking in. "Thanks, have you picked yours out yet?" she questioned, looking at my empty hands.
"Not quite. I don't really know what I want. I don't even have to dress for battle since I'll have to change right out of these when I go back to my room, so I can wear whatever I want now," I sighed, caressing my chin in thought. That usually cut down my options, but not this time.
"Well, you're going to choose it this time. Better hurry up, too, Carrot is almost done picking what she wants," the orange head grinned, then walked off.
I sighed. Of course she won't help me. I guess it's finally time I picked out my own clothes for once. I ran around, stopping when I reached the count of ten. Then I reached my left hand into the clothing rack beside me, clutching onto whatever it was that I grabbed first. Looking to my left, I pulled the outfit out by the hanger.
It was a black and white suit jacket dress that reached just above my mid thigh. Fine by me. The only thing I truly had a problem with was the deep V in the front created by the jacket buttoning pretty low. If the jacket creased the wrong way, lord knows what people could see. Whatever, I'm about to look fly as hell.
After I finished putting it on and fitting the waist cinching belt around me, I put a hanger in the dress I just took off and gave it to Chiffon, who said she'd hold it for me until the meeting was over. Just as I got to the front of the room, Nami was already exiting it. I walked over to the door that closed behind her, hearing chatting going on in the hallway outside.
Opening the door a little, I poked my head out once I heard Nami's heels retreating down the hall. The door made a creaking noise, which called the attention of the blond man standing out there, previously stunned. It was Sanji, and his eyes recognized me immediately as a smile came onto his face. I completely stepped out of the room and grinned at him.
"Hey! How was Nami? Are you guys okay now? She told me she slapped the shit out of you earlier," I mused, leaning against the stone wall of the hallway as the door closed.
He stared at me a bit longer before his eyes turned to hearts and he scurried on over to me, "(Y/N)-SWAAAAN~! YOU LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL IN THAT DRESS~!"
I sweatdropped, "I'm gonna guess that means it went well. Glad you're back to your normal self." I looked at what the weirdo was wearing, seeing he was also in black and white. "Hey look, we're matching."
He stopped in his tracks and then looked at his own outfit, then mine. "Wh-what...?" he mumbled. Then he fell to one knee, grabbing my hand, startling me into standing up straight. "This must be fate! (y/n)-swan let's get married at the party inste-"
"Oh! (y/n)!" Luffy's voice cut through the blond's gushing, my eyes directing to the door that opened a few feet away from this little exchange I was having with the cook.
"Hey, Luffy," I chuckled. I looked back at Sanji and patted the hands that were incasing my other one, "C'mon, let's go meet, Bege."
He looked at my hand over his and the hearts returned to his previously irritated eyes, "YES, (Y/N)-SWAN!"
~~~
After a very cool march over to the meeting room, Luffy made me sit to the left of him while Nami sat to the right. I welcomed Chopper onto my lap while everyone else with us sat down, too. At the other end of the oval shaped white couch were some of Bege's men.
Luffy crossed his arms and looked at Lola, who was at the other end, but outside of the in-facing couch. "Are you Bege?" he questioned.
"No, I'm not!" she shouted.
His eyes directed to the baby in her arms, "You?"
"Do you really think so?!" Chopper and Nami yelled at him.
"Well it does have the shadow of a mustache already, along with a binkie that looks like a cigar," I reasoned.
"Don't try to defend him!" the two of them scolded me. I raised my hands in surrender.
Our captain looked to the two large men sitting at the other end, "Then which one of you is Bege?!"
The man with the long tongue and tattoo on his forehead responded, "Well, wait. He'll be here soon-rero."
At that, a door creaked open and in came a shorter man with a cigar and a black suit. "Okay, everyone's here, right? Are you a bit cleaner now?" he said, walking over to the couch. "It's said that clothes make the man. I won't do business with anyone who doesn't care about their appearance. Now, we have three and a half hours to go. Let's decide. First, whether or not we join forces..."
There was a short staredown between our two groups. The henchmen surrounding the couch drew their guns when Luffy lifted a hand, only to see that he was reaching into the bowl of sweets on the table in front of us.
Chopper reached forward as well to get some, smiling as he bit into a cookie, "It's good isn't it, Luffy?"
I took one too while Nami yelled, "Why don't you guys restrain yourselves?"
"What? These are for us to eat, right?" Luffy responded in confusion. Carrot reached forward and started eating some snacks with us. She was sitting on Nami's side of the oval with Brook and Jinbei. Sanji was sitting next to me with Pedro on his other side.
Bege spoke up, "You guys are nothing but nuisances to us. Killing all of you right here is the easiest solution..."
Chopper stopped mid chew and so did Carrot. I reached for another snack and continued eating. We could easily beat these guys if we really needed to. At least, that's my belief. I'm not going to stress.
Sanji looked over at the mafia boss looking pirate and said, "If I die, you'll lose your chance to kill Big Mom. Because there'll be no wedding. If I'm not back there at least two hours before the wedding, they'll be suspicious."
"Yea, unfortunately you're right. So we can kill everyone else except you," Bege stated.
"I won't let you kill my friends either," the blond grunted.
"Don't take us so lightly," Nami warned.
"We're not going to make a misstep like we did in Zou," Brook added.
Jinbei interrupted the conversation by saying, "We don't have time to intimidate each other. Luffy, does your gut tell you that you can team up with them? What do you think?" He turned to the captain, who finished eating a bunch of grapes off the stem.
Luffy stared forward, but not at Bege. He was looking at... Caesar. I don't know how I didn't notice him before. The straw hat wearing teen stood up and yelled, "You're Caesar, aren't you?!"
Chopper stood up in my lap, panicked, "What?! Caesar?! Where?!"
Sanji sighed, "He was there the whole time."
"How could you not notice?" Nami huffed.
I coughed into my fist awkwardly, "Yea, how could you not notice?"
Caesar's face twisted in discomfort, and he started sweating. Then, he made eye contact with Luffy and stuttered, "C-Caesar? No, I am Bege's sworn brother... Gangster Gastino! Sholololololo!"
I facepalmed. That laugh definitely sealed the deal on that, only an idiot wouldn't see through it. "Oh, I see. Sorry about that," Luffy apologized, sitting back down. I face palmed again, having forgotten our captain is an idiot.
"No, you are right! He's obviously Caesar!" Nami shouted, pointing at the scientist.
This got Luffy to shoot back up and argue with Caesar for a second, which ended in Bege stopping it with a squeeze of Caesar's heart. I see that no one has given that thing back to the poor guy. I'm actually starting to feel sorry for him. "Straw Hat, do you wanna join hands or not?" Bege finally asked.
The teen frowned, "First, let me punch you for shooting Pekoms!"
He stepped on the table and threw a rubber fist at the other captain. Thankfully, it was stopped by Jinbei. It turned into everyone stopping each other from attacking the other group, and then Bege using Caesar's heart as a blocking tool for each of Luffy's punches.
Jinbei sighed and asked everyone, "Do you like Big Mom?"
"NO WAY!" Caesar, Luffy, and Bege yelled.
"That means you're on the same side," the fishman stated. "Even if you don't share the same lifestyle or goal, you have the same enemy to beat! You can kill each other later, but if you join hands now, it'll be in everyone's favor!"
"This guy is way better at handling people than the rest of us," I commented, reaching for a banana. Chopper nodded in agreement.
Luffy got in Bege's face and yelled, "What's your plan?!"
"I have a perfect plan," was the answer.
