Chapter 11

AN: Sorry for the delay, here's the chapter. Hope you like it!

A month have passed since Ayanokouji's transfer to Class A. His life in Class is somewhat similar to his life in Class C. He was almost not alone everyday due to Sakayanagi and her lackeys' disturbing him or his female classmates that were trying to invite Ayanokouji to hang out with them but sadly they were rejected either because of Sakayanagi's glare or Ayanokouji just plainly rejecting their invitation to hang with them. While his life in the classroom in Class A was a little bit different than his life in Class C. His life outside the classroom had fundamentally changed. A lot of students were staring at him, especially the 2nd and 3rd years. Every time he passed a former classmate of his, they would either glare at him, try to verbally or physically attack him but they were either stopped by their classmates or restrained themselves in fear of getting their Class Points deducted. One example of this was Ayanokouji was in the cafeteria, Ike and Sudo had passed by him. Ike and Sudo noticed Ayanokouji's presence and Ayanokouji also noticed their presence too but ignored them. Ike went up to Ayanokouji and was about to shout and attack him for most likely getting Yamauchi expelled but at the last moment, he was stopped by Sudo as he knew that Class A, more specifically Sakayanagi, would enjoy attacking them and their class as Ayanokouji had no more connections to them and was Sakayanagi's classmate.

-March 8-

Right now Ayanokouji was in his seat, laying his head down on the desk pretending to be asleep so that he wouldn't get invited by his female classmates again.

Ayanokouji: (Transferring to Class A might be a mistake... Well, these side effects were inevitable to begin with. Ah, I already miss my peaceful life. Either way, this was necessary. I had to get tools and assets as soon as possible since the man had started sending in troops, I don't know how many he send here so I might as well be prepared for war if that is the case. )

As Ayanokouji was pretending to be asleep, someone approached him but Ayanokouji didn't knew who the person was because his head was facing towards the windows. The person who approached Ayanokouji was about to speak but wasn't able to  because Mashima-sensei arrived at the classroom signalling that classes are about to start. So the person left to go back to his or her seat and Ayanokouji raised his head and looked at Mashima-sensei as he got to the podium.

Once Mashima-sensei arrived at the podium, he started to speak. 

Mashima: Good morning to you all, I have an announcement.

As Mashima-sensei said that. The Class A students were as expected, thought that they were going to have a special exam. So of them were worried what the exam was going to be about but didn't show it on their faces as they knew that they had to be prepared for the exams that the school was going to throw onto them. 

Mashima: We're going to have an exam. This will be your last special exam as 1st years.

The students were relieved when Mashima-sensei said that this will be their last special exam as 1st years.

Mashima: The exam is called "Event Selection Exam". This exam will test your overall abilities. Each class, Class A, B, C and D will select 10 events and will select 5 of them as their "certain events". The "certain events" are the events that a class wishes to compete in. The remaining 5 will be used in deceiving the other classes about which events are going to be selected. The events can be Sports, Casual Games, Trivia's and Academic themed. However, if one of the events that you are going to be choosing is from Casual Games, they have be well known otherwise they won't be accepted. The 10 events that each classes selected will be announced on March 15. The 2 competing classes will compete in 7 events chosen by the school. As for how you pick the class that you are going to be competing with. Each class will draw lots, if a class wins, they can choose the class that they are going to be competing with and the remaining two will be forced to compete with one another. So basically, if you get Class B as the class that you are going to be competing with. This class and Class B will compete in 7 events from 10 "certain events" of both classes that they selected. Each event is worth 30 Class Points so, if a class loses an event they lose 30 Class points and vice versa.

Mashima-sensei stopped speaking for a second, took a huge and breath and continued speaking

Mashima: Along with those, each class will choose a Commanding Tower who will receive a private points if their class wins and if their class loses they will risk expulsion. The Commanding Tower of each class can help their classmate in an event. However, the leader can only help 3 times in the whole exam so choose your actions wisely. Also, the Commanding Tower can't participate in any events.

Mashima: Before I forget, the drawing of lots for each class will happen later in the staff room so the class leaders or at least someone from each class has to come later.

AN: I just copied most of the rules from the summary of V11. I hope you don't mind it. I also altered some of the rules like a student can join 2 events to it is prohibited for a student to join more than 1 event.

Mashima: Any questions so far?

Sakayanagi raised her hand after Mashima-sensei asked the question.

Mashima: What is it Sakayanagi?

Sakayanagi stood up and said.

Sakayanagi: Can we pick the same person to participate in all events?

Mashima: No, each student can only participate in one event. 

Sakayanagi: (Hm... Tsukishiro must have expected that we will use Ayanokouji-kun in all events. Oh well, it's not like Ayanokouji-kun is the only smart and competent one in this class.)

Sakayanagi: I see, thank you for answering my question Sensei.

Mashima nods and Sakayanagi sits back down.

Mashima: For any event, the minimum number of participants is 1 and the maximum number are 20, including substitutes. There can only be two events with more than 10 participants, including the substitutes. 

Mashima: A much of detailed version of the rules and guidelines of the exam will be posted in our school website.

Mashima: Any more questions?

Nobody responded and Mashima-sensei continued talking.

Mashima: The special exam will happen on March 22. You have a day starting tomorrow to pick 10 events and for the 5 "certain events". Once you're done just give me a list with the events you've selected the day after tomorrow.  Well, let's now start class.

Class not started but some of the students were not listening or paying attention at all. It's not like they're confident in their academic abilities, It's just that, they know that it's a fact that they have superior academic skills so they didn't bother to listen at all.

Ayanokouji just looked at the board while being in his thoughts.

Ayanokouji: (I wonder how Tsukishiro is going to get me expelled in this exam. Lets see, he probably knows that I'm going to compete in all events so he prohibited that a student can participate in all events... So what matters right now is who the leader is, the events that we're going to pick, the event we're going to be participating in and the class that we're going to be competing with.)

Katsuragi was also in his thoughts wondering if Ayanokouji will reveal his other abilities in this exam.

Katsuragi: (So this exam is an opportunity for us to see Ayanokouji's hidden abilities. I wonder if Sakayanagi knows his other abilities.)

Time went on and soon their class with Mashima-sensei ended.

Mashima: That would be all for class today, You can take your lunch now. 

Mashima-sensei left after he said that and Ayanokouji was about to stand and go to the cafeteria to buy lunch. But he was approached by Sakayanagi so he sat back down.

Ayanokouji: What is it?

Sakayanagi: I just want to hear your thoughts about the exam.

Ayanokouji: (That just reminded me of Horikita.)

Ayanokouji: It's rigged.

Sakayanagi: Fu, fu... I have the same thoughts as you Ayanokouji-kun.

Sakayanagi laughed softly as she said that.

Hashimoto, Kito and Kamuro approached the two.

Hashimoto: Sup, King!

Hashimoto greeted Ayanokouji. Kito only nodded and Kamuro said nothing nor did she nodded .

Ayanokouji just raised his hand towards them as a response to their greeting.

Hashimoto: What events are you going to be participating King?

Ayanokouji: I don't know yet but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be participating in one of the events. Right Sakayanagi?

Sakayanagi: Fu, Fu... Of course, Ayanokouji-kun. By the way Ayanokouji-kun, how are you going to handle the rain later?

Ayanokouji: Huh?

Ayanokouji was confused at first but soon got what Sakayanagi meant.

Ayanokouji: ...I'll do my best to stay dry.

Sakayanagi: Fu, fu, fu... As expected of Ayanokouji-kun.

Ayanokouji: Do you think rain is only going to happen? No thunderstorms or earthquackes?

Sakayanagi: No but it would be interesting to see if there are others, no?

Sakayanagi had an unusual smile, one befitting of a sadistic person or someone picking out his/her prey for the day.

Ayanokouji: It would be actually interesting.

Sakayanagi: See, you even share my thoughts on the matter.

Hashimoto, Kito and Kamuro who were next to these two were confused and didn't understand their conversation.

Kamuro: (Great minds really do think alike.)

Hashimoto: (Geniuses are really on a different level...)

Kito: (What are they talking about? Sakayanagi-san just said  something about rain later so is it going to rain later? I should've brought an umbrella then. Knowing Sakayanagi-san, she tends to say figurative phrases so I think that it isn't going to rain later on.)

Hashimoto: Um... Princess, what are you talking about?

Sakayanagi: Hm? Nothing, nothing...

Hashimoto: I see...

Hashimoto didn't ask any further as he felt like knowing the conversation between Ayanokouji and Sakayanagi is highly classified and didn't want to see the smile that Sakayanagi had earlier if he keeps digging in more.

Sakayanagi: Anyways, let's have lunch shall we?

Ayanokouji nods and the others agree to Sakayanagi.

They left the classroom and went to the cafeteria to buy lunch. As they arrived in to the cafeteria, Ayanokouji got his usual stare and murmurs.

Sakayanagi chuckled a little bit at this and said in a low voice.

Sakayanagi: Looks like you're really popular Ayanokouji-kun.

Ayanokouji groaned a little bit at Sakayanagi's words and replied.

Ayanokouji: Tell me about it.

Sakayanagi just continued chuckling while Hashimoto put his arm over Ayanokouji and said.

Hashimoto: King, if you find a girlfriend here, come and ask me. I'll be your wingman.

Ayanokouji: Yeah, thanks...

Ayanokouji: (Not that I'll get a girlfriend, while I am interested in all kinds of love including romantic love. Ensuring my freedom has a higher priority and lets say I do have a girlfriend, there is a possibility that she will be used a bargaining tool to have me drop out or she will get attached to me which will be hard for her if she knows that we may not be meeting each other forever.)

Kamuro: Ah, btw the way pervert.

Ayanokouji: What?

 Kamuro didn't say anything when Ayanokouji replied to her.

Ayanokouji: What is it Kamuro?

Kamuro: You didn't deny when I called you a pervert.

Ayanokouji just kept silent and Hashimoto spoke.

Hashimoto: Now, now, Kamuro... It's normal for the boys to be a pervert right Kito? Princess?

Kito nodded and Sakayanagi replied to Hashimoto.

Sakayanagi: True, true Hashimoto-kun. Ayanokouji-kun here can be a pervert too.

Kamuro looked at Ayanokouji and asks a question.

Kamuro: So are you one?

Ayanokouji: No...

Kamuro released a sigh and said.

Kamuro: Then you should've said that earlier whether you were lying or not.

Ayanokouji: Sorry... It wouldn't even matter because you're going to keep calling me that.

Kamuro: True...

If others were observing this they would think that this was just the usual Sakayanagi and her lackeys' but for Ayanokouji this was something close to having a group of friends. Even though some of them has not formally seen the others as their own friends it was without a doubt that at some point in their conversation, they felt at peace or relaxed. Sakayanagi's lackeys' were extremely thankful for Ayanokouji transferring over to their class because ever since his transfer, Sakayanagi was not giving a lot of orders and was smiling a lot though they found that unusual and creepy but was still thankful for it. 

They bought their lunch and sat down on one of the tables.

While eating their lunch Hashimoto and Sakayanagi were teasing Ayanokouji about his newly found popularity and potential harem with Kamuro joining in the conversation from time to time. Meanwhile Kito just kept silent and ate in his food in peace but kept nodding or made short replies when he was involved in one of the topics of their conversation.

Soon they finished their lunch, they cleaned their table then returned the plate, tray and utensils. They went back to their classroom for their afternoon classes.

Their afternoon classes lasted for 5 hours. The students were relieved after those 5 hours, some groaned out of happiness and some released a huge sigh.

Ayanokouji immediately went back to his room as he was tired due to his female classmates and females from the 2nd and 3rd year trying to invite him to hang out.

Ayanokouji arrived at the dorm building and went inside the elevator.

As he went inside the elevator, he saw Kamuro and Kamuro immediately had a irritated face once she saw him.

Ayanokouji: No need to be hostile to me you know.

Ayanokouji said that as he stood beside Kamuro.

Kamuro just ignored him and put a distance between them.

The ride in the elevator was silent and awkward  for the both of them.

Then suddenly Kamuro spoke.

Kamuro: Hey. 

Ayanokouji: Hm?

Kamuro: I was going to ask you this when during lunch at the cafeteria but lost the urge to...

Ayanokouji: What is it?

Kamuro: Girls from other classes are asking me for your number. What should I do about it? Should I give it or no?

Ayanokouji: What did you do before you asked me this question.

Kamuro: I said I didn't know your number though they won't believe me.

Ayanokouji: If you would, please continue to do that.

Kamuro: Okay.

Ayanokouji: I thought you would like say no or something.

Kamuro: For some reason I thought complying with you was much more better. Maybe it's because you're pitiful and that I pity you? or maybe it's because I understand the feeling if your phone number is being spread around.

Ayanokouji: Did your number got spread? In the past.

Kamuro: No, but I feel like the I get the feeling if someone's number gets spread around.

After Kamuro said that the door of the elevator slide open and Kamuro stepped out of the elevator.

Neither of them said goodbyes and just continued on their path.

Ayanokouji: (Kamuro might be a better version of Horikita... Well she is in Class A so it makes sense.)

Ayanokouji soon arrived at his floor and got out of the elevator.

Ayanokouji arrived at his room and went inside it.

As Ayanokouji was about to cook his dinner. He got a call from his phone.

Ayanokouji picked his phone up and saw that it was Sakayanagi that called him. He responded to the call.

Ayanokouji: Sakayanagi?

Sakayanagi: Good evening Ayanokouji. Sorry to call you at this time, were you perhaps busy?

Ayanokouji: No, not really. What did you want to talk about?

Sakayanagi: I was about to tell when we are still at school but forgot to. I told Masumi-san to tell you that I have something to talk to you but Mashima-sensei arrived.

Ayanokouji: Oh, so that person was Kamuro. Anyways, it's okay. What is it that you want to talk about?

Sakayanagi: I was going to suggest we get more allies to our side I suppose.

Ayanokouji: Who are is potential ally?

Sakayanagi: Mashima-sensei...

Ayanokouji immediately understood what Sakayanagi meant.

Ayanokouji: So we're going to appeal to Mashima-sensei's white knight like attitude and hopefully he goes into our side?

Sakayanagi: Yes.

Ayanokouji: When do you plan to appeal to him?

Sakayanagi: I was planning to do it after the exam? Do you agree with my plan? Ayanokouji-kun?

Ayanokouji: Sure, I don't mind.

Sakayanagi: I see. Well, that's all I want to talk about. Good night to you.

Ayanokouji: Good night.

They both end the call and Ayanokouji starts cooking is lunch.

Ayanokouji: ( Mashima-sensei, huh... True, the chances of him helping us is high due to his white knight like attitude but I don't want to assume already. Oh, I forgot to say to Sakayanagi that there is another potential ally in the teachers. Well she can't be an ally due to her attitude but we can make her into our tool... Oh well, I can tell her tomorrow or soon as we can only use her a handful of times.)

Ayanokouji stopped his train of thoughts and went back to cooking his lunch.

After a while, he finished cooking and started to eat.

He finished cooking and immediately washed the dishes and took a bath.

After taking a bath he was now lying on his bed, about to go to sleep.

Ayanokouji: ( Today was truly tiring. My life now had drastically changed, in the future I might gain more enemies so I have to be prepared. Anyways, this was necessary. If I have to preserve my 3 year freedom then I have to sacrifice my peaceful life in order to have it. )

Ayanokouji slowly went to sleep.

*Next Day*

-March 9-

Right now all of the classes for the day have finished and three fourths of all 1st Year Cass were in their classroom  with all students present. They were currently discussing the events that are going to select and try to predict the events that the other classes were going to select so that they can make plans for those possible events.

Sakayanagi was at the podium while her classmates were at their seats.

Sakayanagi: I assume all of you here already know the purpose of our meeting here today?

Nobody replied to her and some nodded to her.

Sakayanagi: Yesterday, I had Hashimoto drew the lots and he won. I told him to pick Class C(Horikita's Class) as a safe choice. Since our opponent will be Class C I already have an idea for some of the events that our class is going to select. Those events would be Chess, Mental Arithmetic, a 50 item Japanese History Test, a 50 item Math test, another 50 item Science themed test. 

Sakayanagi proceeds to say another 5 random events but never announced which are the 5 "certain events" that this class is going to pick.

Ayanokouji: ( So we're going to bombard them with academic themed events. That would be a good attacks against them considering the number of intellectual people in that class is low. But what are the events that Horikita's class is going to pick and what are their 5 "certain events"? )

Sakayanagi: As for the Class C students, Hashimoto and Kito-kun. You know what to do. And all of the others, keep track of the Cass C students and tell me any important information.

Hashimoto gives a huge grins and nods while Kito only nods. The other class A students nodded as they knew that they were going to be given this kind of a task by Sakayanagi.

Sakayanagi: Just based on the information around the students of Class C, a lot of them are affiliated with sports club so the chances of them having a sports themed event is high. They do have intelligent students but the number is low so we don't have no worry about them winning a lot against our academic themed events.

Sakayanagi: For the days remaining until the exam please, diligently study in all subjects. If you have any troubles regarding your studies you can have Ayanokouji-kun help you. Ayanokouji-kun will happily help you in all his might, right Ayanokouji0kun?

Ayanokouji who was looking towards the windows while listening to Sakayanagi, subconsciously turned his head towards Sakayanagi as she mentioned his name. As he turned towards Sakayanagi, he saw the stares of his classmates and the glitter on the eyes of some of his female classmates.

Ayanokouji: Um, I will help in any way I can.

Ayanokouji awkwardly said that because of the stares of his classmates.

After the Ayanokouji gave his consent, some of the girls celebrated in silence due to the opportunity given to them.

Ayanokouji: ( Great... )

Some of the students including Hashimoto, Sakayanagi and surprisingly Kamuro were trying not to laugh because of Ayanokouji's current situation. They wanted to feel pity towards Ayanokouji who had subconsciously taken the role of Care Taker of the students of Class A, but they weren't able to fell pity as they were amused of Ayanokouji's predicament.

Sakayanagi: Great, that would be all for our discussion today.

Sakayanagi's classmates left their classroom slowly leaving a few behind.

Sakayanagi: Any questions, Katsuragi-kun?

Sakayanagi asked the question to Katsuragi who was still on his seat.

Katsuragi: No, I'm just wondering if we can see more of Ayanokouji's abilities on this exam.

Sakayanagi: Oh you wouldn't need to fret over that Katsuragi-kun. Ayanokouji-kun has vowed to use all of his abilities to help our class.

Katsuragi looked over to Ayanokouji who was also sitting down while looking at the window. Ayanokouji noticed Katsuragi's gazed and returned it with his own gaze then proceeds to give a slight nod towards Katsuragi.

Katsuragi: I see, I hope you won't betray this class in the future Ayanokouji.

Ayanokouji just gives another nod and Katsuragi leaves the the classroom.

Sakayanagi: Should we head home too, Ayanokouji-kun?

Ayanokouji nods, stood up and head to the door with Sakayanagi already at the door.

Ayanokouji closed and the doors of the classroom and left the school building Sakayanagi.

It was already near night but the sun was still setting.

Their walk towards the dorms was quiet but peaceful so far but the silence was broken when Sakayanagi spoke first.

Sakayanagi: Do you think the sunset right now is beautiful? Ayanokouji-kun. Personally, I think it's quite mesmerizing.

Ayanokouji: Hm.

Ayanokouji took a good few seconds to observe the sunset with his own two eyes before replying to Sakayanagi's question.

Ayanokouji: I think so, too...

Sakayanagi just smiled at Ayanokouji response and continued asking another question. 

Sakayanagi: Say, why do you want freedom Ayanokouji-kun?

Ayanokouji: To learn about the things that were not taught in the White Room. To know what it's like to be free. To know what it's like to be normal.

Sakayanagi just smiled more at Ayanokouji's answers.

Ayanokouji: Do you find it weird?

Sakayanagi: No, in fact I think that it's good that there are many reasons in your pursuit of freedom. This is just my opinion but, I think have a lot of purpose for something is great. It gives you more motivation and drive to do it, more courage to do it, your curiosity opens up more, and you hope that you can attain it, right?

Ayanokouji: I agree.

Sakayanagi: I suppose, this is where we end our serene conversation. Don't you think so?

Ayanokouji sees the increasing size of the dorm building as they walk towards it.

Ayanokouji: I guess, you're right. I enjoyed it, thanks.

Sakayanagi gives off a small laugh then says.

Sakayanagi: My pleasure, Ayanokouji-kun. You can call me anytime if you want to have more serene conversations.

Ayanokouji and Sakayanagi continued heading back to the dorms in this serene atmosphere surrounding them.

AN: I decided to use this illustration cause why not? Plus this was in my opinion, one of the best illustrations in COTE so far.

Ayanokouji and Sakayanagi parted ways when they arrived at the dorms. Ayanokouji soon then arrived at his room and immediately lied down down on his bed.

Ayanokouji: ( There is a low chance that our class will lose against Horikita's class unless Tsukishiro does something but I am confident that he won't be able to do a lot due to the teachers and students but I am interested on how he is going to make me expelled or make my class lose. )

Ayanokouji let out a huge sigh then said.

Ayanokouji: Sakayanagi really had me with that. I just hope they won't ask for my help a lot.

Ayanokouji then got back up from his bed and changed his clothes. Then proceeded to cook his dinner.

Ayanokouji then ate his dinner and washed the dishes. He immediately went to sleep to prepare his body from his incoming task tomorrow in his class.  

-March 10 - 14-

Days have gone by as Ayanokouji was helping his classmates prepare for their final exam. A lot of the Class A students were fast learners and understood the materials that Ayanokouji taught them. The spies installed by Sakayanagi were somewhat successful at their task as they were able to prevent any public discussions by Class C students but they were not able to gain important information about the events that Class C picked and what their "certain events" are.

-March 15-

Today was the day the 10 events that each class picked was released. And the intensity of  spying between classes most notably from Sakayanagi's and Ryūen's as they were keeping an eye over their preys continuously and aggressively since  the events that each class selected were announced.

Ayanokouji went to one of the billboards in school that posted the events that each class selected.

As Ayanokouji arrived at one of the billboards another person arrived at the billboards. The person who arrived stood next and called up Ayanokouji.

Ryūen: Well, well, well. Don't we have a monster on an open area right now.

Ayanokouji looked at the person who called him at saw that it was Ryūen.

Ayanokouji: Ryūen, what are you doing here? Did you perhaps come here to look at the events that class selected too?

Ryūen: No shit Sherlock.

Ayanokouji: Wouldn't you see this at the school website? Why bother to come all the way here?

Ryūen: I have no reason to tell you but I suppose I wanted to get fresh air.

Ayanokouji: I see... What are your class' certain events?

Ayanokouji knew that Ryūen wouldn't tell him his class certain events but still asked him so.

Ryūen: If you tell me your class' then I wouldn't mind telling ours.

Ayanokouji: Pass, Sakayanagi might kill me.

Ryūen: Ku, ku, ku... Is that so? From Suzune to the loli. You're now changing your orbit. What are you? The moon? or just another star? I thought you were the one to dominate especially now but I guess you're still slave.

Ayanokouji: I wouldn't call myself a slave.

Ryūen: Of course you wouldn't, that's why I called you one.

Ayanokouji: ...I'm not getting it?

Ryūen laughed at Ayanokouji's response.

Ryūen: Anyways, why did you help Ibuki and Ishizaki? Won't expelling me be to your advantage?

Ayanokouji: What do you mean?

Ayanokouji knew playing dumb was futile but decided to do so.

Ryūen: No need to act dumb, so why?

Ayanokouji: I suppose...

Ryūen was eagerly waiting for Ayanokouji's answer.

Ayanokouji: Self interest?

Ryūen: Huh? How-, what?

Ayanokouji: See it's confusing, I don't know either.

Ayanokouji: ( I had no reason to save Ryūen nor did I have any reason not to save him. I have no regrets saving him knowing the fact that he still wants to defeat me even if it means getting expelled. Not that I mind getting expelled by Ryūen or Sakayanagi, well just someone competent enough then I would be satisfied by them getting me expelled. Somehow, it's still unexplainable to know the reason behind my actions behind the prevention of Ryūen's expulsion. Is it because I see him a potential pawn? Or as a person who gave me thrills? Though lets say that Ryūen is a potential pawn, he would be the type to plan to overthrow me and rebel against me. A child in his rebellious phase... That is me right now. )

Ryūen: I suppose I made a miscalculation, I didn't expect Ibuki and Ishizaki to come to you. What would you do if you didn't tell Ibuki your plan?

 Ayanokouji: I'd reach out to Hiyori.

Ryūen: let out a snort before speaking. 

Ryūen: Heh, knowing her she would have done the same. 

Ayanokouji nodded at Ryūen's guess about Hiyori.

Ryūen: You chose Manabe?

Ayanokouji: No, Ishizaki did it by himself.

Ryūen: Eh, Ishizaki is maturing and growing up. I wonder he'd stop using tissues and start to do it with someone else?

Ayanokouji didn't get what Ryūen said and Ryūen seems to know that.

Ryūen: What's this, were you sheltered or somethin? Then how are you damn strong? 

Ayanokouji stayed silent which prompted Ryūen to continue talking.

Ryūen: Well, I seen long of enough of these.

Ryūen started to walk away but not before backing away.

Ryūen: By the way, someone is going to rise up from dead soon. Best to be prepare if I were you.

Ayanokouji: I see. Nice of you to give someone like me a head start.

Ryūen: I'm just returning the favor and if someone here is to blame for that persons' resurrection. It's you. 

With that, Ryūen's figure starts to disappear.

Ayanokouji gets into his thoughts as see looks into Ryūen's disappearing figure.

Ayanokouji: ( So he's making a comeback on the exam. I wonder if Ichinose's class can handle the impact since Ichinose is sort of unstable right now. )

Ayanokouji went back to his classroom for his afternoon classes.

Ayanokouji as usual didn't pay attention to any of the classes as he knew the lessons that the teachers were teaching.

Classes ended and students started to head back to the dorms while some went to Keyaki Mall with their friends to hang out. Surprisingly, nobody asked Ayanokouji for help today. Maybe they were tired from studying and wanted to just sleep.

Ayanokouji went his way towards but not before deciding to stop by the convenience store to buy an ice cream.

Ayanokouji arrived at the convenience store and went inside. He picked a flavor of an ice cream and went to the cashier to pay for it.

There was another person at the cashier paying for her own items. The person noticed a presence behind her so she turned behind her and saw that it was Ayanokouji.

Horikita: What a coincidence Ayanokouji-kun, to think that we would meet here.

Ayanokouji: Horikita, what are you buying?

Horikita: Please refrain from asking people that question, that is quite creepy and please don't peek at their basket.

Ayanokouji: I see, sorry about that.

Horikita: What are you here for? I assume you were going to buy something too?

Ayanokouji: Yes.

Ayanokouji raised the ice cream still wrapped as he responded to Horikita's assumption.

Horikita: I didn't know you were the type to buy sweets, Ayanokouji-kun.

Horikita said that as she turned back to the cashier scanning the items she bought.

Ayanokouji: I just liked it recently.

Horikita: I see.

Ayanokouji: What are you going to do about the exam Horikita?

Horikita: I believe that would be my class' business but if I have to answer, I suppose we'll do our best.

Ayanokouji: I see.

Ayanokouji: ( If it were the old Horikita, she would without a doubt say I not we. It's nice to see a development within her. )

Horikita: Were you perhaps having any illicit thoughts Ayanokouji-kun?

Horikita asked with a hint of a threatening voice.

Ayanokouji: No.

Horikita: I see. What about your class? What is Sakayanagi's plan?

Ayanokouji: I don't know but I'm sure she has one.

Horikita: Quite a typical answer of yours Ayanokouji-kun.

The cashier finished scanning the items and put the items in a plastic bag. Horikita then put her Student ID over a machine and the cashier confirmed that he received the amount of points required for this transaction.

Horikita: Good bye to you Ayanokouji-kun.

Horikita left the store as she that.

Ayanokouji: Bye.

Ayanokouji paid for the ice cream he bought and left the store to go back to the dorms.

Ayanokouji opens the ice cream wrapper and eats the ice cream inside of it while walking back towards the dorms.

Ayanokouji: ( If I have to pick my favorite flavor, I'd say chocolate but sometimes vanilla is good. Vanilla is more natural. )

After a while, Ayanokouji finishes eating the ice cream and coincidentally he arrived in front of the dorm buildings.

Ayanokouji entered the building and went to the elevator and pressed the button for his floor.

The elevator soon arrived at the floor and its doors opened and Ayanokouji steps out then proceeds to go to his room and enter it.

Ayanokouji didn't bother to cook lunch this time and just changed his clothes then went to sleep.

After the day between Ryūen and Horikita's interactions Ayanokouji continued the following the days the same as the previous ones where kept helping his classmates that needed his helped studying but a lot of those where just him either getting question about his hobbies, like and dislikes, and if he has a girlfriend or not to which delighted his female classmates when they heard Ayanokouji say that he does not have a girlfriend and is single.

After the day between Ryūen and Horikita's interactions Ayanokouji continued the following the days the same as the previous ones where kept helping his classmates that needed his helped studying but a lot of those where just him either getting question about his hobbies, like and dislikes, and if he has a girlfriend or not to which delighted his female classmates when they heard Ayanokouji say that he does not have a girlfriend and is single. Though they were still studying as well as the other students of each class of the 1st year as the day of the exam was drawing near. If they want to survive and want to experience their summer break and become 2nd years soon they have to pass the exam in order to do so. Of course they were afraid but there was no turning back now as it was still calm before the storm.

AN: Well, my fever was gone, it gone by Saturday but by Sunday, I had rashes I think, my mother told me and the other people in the clinic I went to yesterday say that I have tipdas (I think that's how you spell in Bisaya), they also said it's natural after you have a fever(Is it true though? I'm curious). I got a flu vaccine while I was at the clinic, it didn't feel bad because I was focusing on my mind by cursing a lot... And then I had my blood tested and another test that I won't tell for privacy reasons. The nurse who took my blood got me by surprised as I thought she was going to use a syringe but instead use another thing that poked the skin of my middle finger. Also, I don't have corona if you are wondering.

By the way, quick question. How do you swallow a pill or capsule easily without spitting or vomiting it out? Because I have a hard time doing swallowing it and tend to spit it out. It's kinda embarrassing and important now since I'm 15 and will most likely have pills and capsule as my vitamins and medicines.
