Woe we're back

Enid and Wednesday make the journey back to Nevermore and the car ride there consisted of Enid talking to Morticia and Gomez. Wednesday stayed silent and only listened to some portions of the conversation. Mostly, she listened to Enid. Wednesday would never admit to anyone that she does find Enid's voice soothing.

Although, Wednesday was incredibly anxious to return to Nevermore due to the threat that is lurking in the shadows. What could possibly be worse than a homicidal Hyde rampaging through Jericho with the help of a former Nevermore teacher? That's the one thought that lingered in Wednesday's mind, because the only thing that could be worse than that is the thought of losing Enid. The seer remembers the pain when Enid as upset with her and roomed with Yoko for a few days. Wednesday never really forgave herself for hurting Enid that night.

Wednesday stays in her own head for the rest of the trip to Nevermore. She was only pulled out of her thoughts when Enid tugged at her sleeve to notion that they have arrived.

"May this year will be just as nightmare fueled as last year." Morticia says to the two girls as Lurch opens the door to let Enid and Wednesday out.

"I can only get so lucky." Wednesday responds dryly

"Come on, this will be our year!" Enid says hopefully

Wednesday wishes she could be hopeful for a peaceful year but she also enjoys a bit of chaos. Especially the chaos she creates.

Lurch follows Wednesday and Enid to their dorm with their luggage. Enid also insisted on carrying some of the luggage since there was a lot to bring, most of it being Enid's belongings.

Wednesday opens the door to the dorm and is greeted with the room just as they left it. Lurch and Enid place the luggage in the middle of the room and Lurch walks off to leave.

"Let's get this done." Wednesday says

"This will take all dayyyy" Enid whines.

"You have something better to do?" Wednesday asks

"Yeah, you." Enid says with a smirk.

Wednesday is never lost for words but the things that Enid says, the seer finds herself looking for words. She's always taken back by Enid's boldness. She never really understood where that boldness came from. Wednesday definitely doesn't mind though.

"omg I'm just kidding Wens, but it is cute when you get all flustered." Enid says opening one of the suitcases.

"Call me cute again and your stuffed panda will be used for my next torture experiment." Wednesday responds.

"Whatever you say."  Enid says.

The two of them spend the first two hours unpacking everything and getting everything organized on their respective sides. What Enid doesn't know is that Wednesday secretly has a picture of them together printed out and taped in on the side of her nightstand for the nights that they may not sleep next to each other. Enid likes to kick in her sleep and Wednesday has enough bruises from it. The raven has said nothing about it though since those little bruises are a reminder of Enid.

"Wanna grab dinner with Yoko and Div?" Enid asks from her bed.

"I'm alright, I need to write." Wednesday responds as she sits at her desk.

"I'll bring you some food then when I come back later." Enid says as she gathers her things

"If anyone hurts you, I'll hunt them down and rip off their limbs one by one." Wednesday says

"I love you too Wens. See you in a bit." Enid says as she walks out of the dorm.

The seer spends the next hour writing the next chapter in her novel. Viper is also getting a love interest which Wednesday had never anticipated writing in but it's only for character development, or at least that's what she tells herself. Viper's love interest has a lot of similar traits as Enid. No one will notice that, right? Wednesday did finally get an offer from a publisher, I mean it took a couple veiled threats but she has one. The publisher did have a genuine interest in her novel anyway. She just hasn't told anyone about the deal yet. She plans on keeping it a secret until her novel is finished completely.

Enid is down in the quad with Yoko and Div. The three girls talk about all the latest drama that has been going on. Apparently Kent managed to break his leg from jumping off of a roof. Ajax got into a relationship that lasted only a day because he cheated on her, with an unidentified man?!? Enid couldn't believe what she was being told. SO much has happened. She's been neglecting her blog since she was busy with Wednesday's family and she wasn't really keeping up with everyone. But now that school is about to start, she'll start posting more updates about any information she finds out.

"I just want to know who the man was that Ajax was hooking up with." Enid says

"Rumor has it that it's an older man" Div says

"OMG." Enid says covering her mouth

"He has to fulfill his needs I suppose." Yoko says

"Anyway, how many attempted murders did you witness while staying with Wednesday?" Div asks

"None, well I guess she did threaten her brother like everyday. But we did so many fun activities. I got her to do some of my favorite things like going shopping and going to the arcade." Enid says

"How did you manage that?" Yoko asks

"Well uh lets just say I had to be very...convincing" Enid admits.

The werewolf remembers the different ways she would convince Wednesday to participate in those activities. It ranged from joining the raven on an illegal outing to more seductive things. Enid knows exactly how to get Wednesday to agree on almost anything. The shorter girl is more inclined to agree to do something if Enid promises she'll help her with anything illegal.

"Oh?" Yoko says giving Enid a side eye

"Do tell." Div says

"I would just join her on her, illegal tendencies." Enid says

"That makes so much sense." Yoko says pointing her fork at the wolf

The three girls say their goodbyes and Enid made sure to grab something from the cafeteria for her girlfriend.

Enid happily walks back into the dorm and sees the raven sitting in bed reading a book.

"Dinner is served." Enid says holding out the box of food

"Thank you Sinclair." Wednesday says as she takes the box of food.

Enid pulls up her desk chair next to Wednesday's bed so the can talk

"How was dinner?" Wednesday asks as she takes a bite of the food.

"It was so fun! Yoko and Div filled me in on some interesting drama." Enid says with a smile

"Interesting how?" Wednesday questions. She can't believe anyone here could have anything interesting about their life.

"Well for one, Kent broke his leg by jumping off of a roof." Enid says

"What an idiot." Wednesday retorts

"THEN apparently Ajax cheated on his girlfriend of 24 hours with an older man!" Enid says

"I always wondered what you saw in him because it's clearly not brains." Wednesday says.

"He was um sometimes nice." Enid says

"Debatable." The raven says

"Okay yeah, truthfully I have no idea." Enid says with a laugh

Wednesday has grown to enjoy hearing Enid's laugh and smile. She always thought they were the most beautiful things about Enid. There's a long list of things that Wednesday admires about Enid. Would she ever admit to such things, no, but she has her ways to show Enid that she is appreciated and cared about.

The two talk for awhile before they decide to call it a night at 10 pm since school starts tomorrow. Wednesday is not thrilled to be surrounded by imbeciles again. They all get the schedules for their classes first thing in the morning after the assembly. Enid is hoping to have most of her classes with Wednesday. It would be hard for both of them to be separated for so long since they're always by each other's side. Wednesday especially wants her classes to line up with Enid's so she can protect her from whatever is coming.

Nevermore is anything but normal.
