Christmas Eve
04:07, 5 August 2024Everyone that has a reason to go home for the holidays have already left on the morning train.
Draco and I decided we wanted a Christmas together, somewhere away from our life problems which were, are, infesting his home at the moment.
I'm sure if we went we would be questioned on why everything was taking so long...Other than my excuse of I've been avoided, Draco has the excuse of he's away for the holidays, and it took longer than expected to fix the cabinet... And the necklace plan failed.
But now it's Christmas Eve, my first Christmas with Draco. And I rather not think about that.
It still boggles my mind how I can after everything... Draco and I have grow together over the past 6 years. On and off friends and now...It's like Hermione and Ron except Ron isn't a bully... and hasn't realized he likes Hermione that way. .With the memories I have if my Christmas's with the Grangers, then Sirius and Weasleys I would say this one is my favorite.
This is different, it felt different, it feels like... I can't explain it without sounding like Pansy. It feels like home...Draco is like my.. other.. half..... As cringy that sounds it's the only thing I can think of to explain how we are.
Being with Draco is like being wrapped in a fluffy blanket in front of a fireplace while being lost in a good book as someone plays with your hair.
.... Alright maybe it is like that because that's what we do most of the time but you get what I mean.

Draco was staring at the flames of the warm fire as he fiddled with my hair, I was using his lap as a pillow while I held a book which was getting a little boring.
Thankfully the couch was an L shape so I had the opportunity to rest my wings away from Draco's personal space. Sometimes I wonder how he can stand dating someone with huge wings that seem to be in the way almost all the time. .(We need an outing. Draco's going crazy with his wild thoughts.) I put my book face down on the coffee table to hold my place and sat up.
Draco watched me. "What's wrong?" I straddled his lap, he raised a brow. "What are you doing?"
I huffed. "I'm tired of reading."
"You?" Draco smiled amusedly. "Tired of reading?" I rolled my eyes and laid down on his chest. "What would you like to do?"
"Sleep." I wrapped my arms around his waist, Draco loosely held my waist. "Or go on a walk." I leaned off him and looked at him. "Or flying." I smiled.
Draco frowned. {What if she gets hurt.}
(He still hasn't calmed down from that.)
Draco smiled sadly and looked away. "Walking sounds good, but you need to dress warmly." He tugged the tank top I had on and it snapped back in place when he let go.
I lifted his chin and placed a kiss on his lips. "Obviously." I smiled softly. "I'll go get my warm clothes on." I climbed off his lap.
"Don't forget the boots. It snowed again last night." Draco stood up. "And your hat and gloves, scarf too."
(God what is he my father?)I rolled my eyes. "Yea, yea. I know." I walked to my half of the dresser and took out warm winter socks. "You better dress warm too."
"This is good enough." I looked at him, he lifted his chin and arms to display the warm fur hat and long coat he choose. fashion before function.
I gave him a bored expression. "Put on a turtleneck sweater."
Draco sighed. "Fine." He walked to his closet as he shedded his hat, coat, suit coat, and shirt. (God he's hot. I have a very handsome boyfri-)"Like what you see, Solace?" Draco said smugly with a smug smile.
"Shut it." I turned around and grabbed my wand from my night table drawer. "You're such a smug... something." I huffed out.
Draco chuckled under his breath. "Very good wording."
"Whatever." I grumbled, Draco chuckled softly. I tapped the sweater I took out and it appeared on my body.. . .
Winter boots that went just below my knees, a thick scarf, fur hat, thick cozy sweater, and leather gloves... That's my attire.
Draco has a long sleeve turtleneck sweater underneath his all black suit and black long coat. With the addition of a fur cap and leather gloves.
We were walking with my arm linked to his as we went down one of the forest trails.
"We shouldn't have come out here." Draco grabbed my hand and put it in his pocket. "It's cold out. What if you get sick?"
I smiled softly. "I'm not as fragile as you think."
"Yes, that's something I learned over the years of my offering you a jacket." Draco scoffed, I smiled and leaned my head on his arm. "I still think you need a winter coat."
I huffed. "No more. Your family has bought me enough." Draco smiled softly. "Winter is almost over anyways."
"Winter is not ending soon and you need more than a sweater."
"I have a scarf, hat, boots, and gloves. And you if needed." Draco rolled his eyes, . "I think if this sweater is Malfoy quality I will be just fine."
Draco looked over me like a detective trying to find everything wrong. "What about your wings? Don't they get cold?"
"Feathers are like hair, they don't get cold like that. But the actual wing part does a little but it doesn't bother me." Draco nodded and looked away with a plan, I sighed. "Please don't. If I need it I'll ask."
"You never ask for anything but trouble. I would hate to see how you are when you're sick."
I smiled. "I rather you spoil me with caring for the sick then a new expensive coat." I squeezed Draco's hand. "I'm not materialistic."
"There is a different between need and want. You need a coat." I rolled my eyes. "Stubborn as always." Draco huffed.
I smirked. "You should run." I kicked the snow as we walked.
Draco raised a brow. "What do you mean?"
I smirked. "What's one thing kids like to do in winter."
Draco smiled. "You would never do that."
"Are you sure?" I raised a brow. "I'd like to see you run like you did at the Shrieking Shack?"
Draco's eyes widened. "That was you?" I smiled, Draco huffed. "In that case." He stopped and lifted me onto his shoulder.
"Draco!" I screeched.
Draco turned back to the castle and started walking. "I refuse to battle you."
"Really?" I slumped on his shoulder. "Can't handle a snowball fight but can carry a human."
Draco chuckled under his breath. "I catch things, not throw them. And if my memory serves me correctly you have perfect aim."
I smiled softly. "Scared, Malfoy?"
Draco huffed. "No."
I smiled. "Fine. No snowball fight." I kicked my legs slightly. "I can walk. I'm heavy."
"You're not at all heavy." Draco said as if he was about to feed me a whole buffet. "I'm also not weak."
I huffed. "I'm a whole human being. You will have back problems because of me. Now set me down before I start kicking and flapping my wings."
Draco stopped and set me down. "Yes, love." Draco chuckled and stole a kiss as I collected myself.
I looked at him. "You're lucky I like you." I smiled, Draco smiled softly. "Now. How about we make a snowman?"
Draco raised a brow. "We aren't children."
I rolled my eyes. "You don't have to be a child to do things." I walked to a spot off the trail. "I'm making a snowman and you're helping."
Draco followed. "Alright." He sighed, I smiled. "How exactly do you make a snowman?"
I turned to him. "You've never made a snowman?" Draco shook his head, I walked over and took his hand. "Come on, you're lesson starts now."
