10:take it slow

I woke up with Kai's arms wrapped around my waist. The both of us covered by the warm sheets. I went to get up, moving Kai's arm so that I don't wake him.

I grabbed a smaller blanket, wrapping it around me so that I could grab some clean clothes to jump in the shower.

As I got out, Kai woke up. "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you" I fixed my shirt and layed out the towel so it could dry.

"No it's fine, I woke up a few minutes ago"I nodded and walked out before it could get awkward.

I started getting breakfast ready, the twins walked out their room with their pj's still on. They helped me make some pancake batter.

Elena and Damon ended up joining us a bit later. Wefinished breakfast so I spent some time with the twins. We were in the living room when I heard footsteps.

"Hey", Kai walked in."Hi dad" Airis said, picking up a few books with her magic."Can I talk to you, Andrea?""Um yeah sure"

I asked Elena if she could watch the girls while I was outside talking with Kai.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" I shifted weight from leg to leg."Last night""Right"

"I feel... I feel the same thing, same feelings that I felt six years ago. I love you, that hasn't changed"He explained, stepping closer to me.

"I love you too, that hasn't changed""Give me your ring""My what?""Your ring" He said pointing at my hand.

"You do realize that if I take this off I'm going to light on fire, right?""Not the daylight one, your promise ring"

I chuckled, already knowing where this was going. I slipped the ring off of my finger, giving it to him.

"Andrea Maximoff, will you be my girlfriend?" he asked, holding it out infront of me."You just had to make this cheesy, didn't you?""What, do you want me to get down on one knee?"

We laughed and I said yes, I mean, of course I said yes; He's the father of my kids and I love him.

The both of us headed back inside only to find Elena recording through the window with the twins beside her. She gave me a thumbs up and I flipped her off.

She quickly covered the girls' eyes for them not to see. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and practicing magic.

Elena called Bonnie and Caroline over, we planned on all of us having dinner later. They arrived and spent some time with us.

"Dad, do you have magic?" Adira asked,"I do, yeah""Can you show us?""Yup"

"Motus" He chanted, throwing Damon againts the wall. I smacked his arm, "We are not teaching violence!" I shout.

"They need to know how to defend themselves!" Kai argued."True" Damon agreed, "I mean, I can like speed towards them, give them a scare and see what they do""Someone's going to end up hurt" Bonnie said.

"Please mom" they pleaded, I let out a loud sigh."Fine, but just once alright? No more"

They smiled and got ready, Damon sped towards them. The twins raised their hands, blowing Damon away.

"Ow" He groaned getting up, he smirked and sped towards them again. The girls were ready, about to use their magic once more but I created a shield, trapping it.

"I said once""Mom-""Stop the magic" I said sternly, they sighed and lowered their hands.

"You're so boring" Adira complained,"Hun, don't talk to your mother like that" Kai said,"Why do you care-""Woah, Adira-""What?" She groaned."Hey, take a breath and walk it off" I snapped and pointed towars the backyard.

She huffed and walked out, opening and closing the door with magic.

"I've been back for three days, how long has she been acting like this?" I asked, looking back out the window to see my daughter, she layed on the grass.

"Since you got snapped away"

We talked about the different mood changes, Airis went outside to play with her sister. The adults stayed in the room.

Bonnie explained that when she came over, Adira would be the one to snap quickly. She also said that Airis was the only one that could calm her down.

Everyone basically agreed with her, I nodded and went outside to talk with her."Airis, could you go inside please?" She nodded and left her sister and I alone.

I sat next to Adira on the ground. "You okay?" I asked, picking at the grass. She stayed silent, fidgeting with her hands.

We sat there for a few minutes. I thought it was best if she just talked when she wanted to, I wasn't going to force her.

"Im sorry" She whispered,"It's okay, could you tell me what made you upset?""I just want to practice magic, with no limits""I know, it's just, we have to wait a bit longer until you are more in control of if"

She layed her head on my shoulder, I wrapped my arm around her. I was going to say something else when Elena interrupted us.

"Someone's at the door. They say they know you"I furrowed my eyebrows and got up, Adira following me shortly behind with Elena.

I formed a ball of magic in my hand, preparing for anyone or anything. I pulled the door open slowly, before I could react some witches stormed in.

Everyone tried to stop them but they put a spell, inflicting pain on all of us. One of them pushed me to the floor, their hand grasped around my neck.

I looked around frantically for the twins but I couldn't find them. Everyone was on their knees, moaning in pain.

The more I tried to use myagjc, the more tired I grew. Just as I was about the give up, the red glow of magic gormed around the other witches.

The twins.

I heard neck snapping and immediately knew what happened. I tried fighting off the witch but then I saw Adira come over.

She grasped the witch's shoulders, a familiar orange glow formed.

My eyes widened as the witch got weaker and weaker, she ended up knocked out on the floor. Everyone got up slowly and stared at all of the witches who were on the floor.

"Did you see that?" I whispered at Kai, he nodded.

"Well look at that. A bunch of dead witches in a house full of vampires, that's not going to cause a scandal"
