Chapter 36

JAYJAY POV

I don't know why but something kept brushing between my legs. My eyes were closed but that thing was really frustrating. I moved and turned but it still brushed against my legs. I wanted to move but this thing seemed big. It was really warm and it was cozy. I snuggled up close to it. It reminded me of something from when I was younger.

A big teddy bear. It was brown and in the middle, it said: "Love". I dragged that bear around. I would drag it with me, played in the dirt with it, cry when Mama said that I needed to wash it but laughed when Aries said it was finished drying. I didn't remember much of my childhood but I remembered that. The times there were peace. Aries would tease me for playing soccer with a teddy bear. I think he was jealous. Really jealous. Mama would laugh at us and then turn to the man at the door. She would stop looking at us and start serving the man tea. Aries would take me to our room. One time I forgot the bear. 

Aries wasn't in the room so I went to go get it. I saw blood. A lot of blood. A pool of it. I saw my sweet brown bear drenched and soaked in that blood. Then Gab appeared the dream. He was on the floor, unconscious in a pool of blood. Kiara watched over his body, a hand on his cheek. Her small pleading eyes silently begging for me to help. But for some reason, something didn't let me near them. These images of Kiara, Gab, Mama and Aries, all having blood stains on their bodies filled my minds. I was sobbing, tears flowing like a river. My breathing got rough.

"Jay!"Someone cried. Keifer, are you there?

KEIFER POV

Jay started muttering things. She was panting and sobbing while asleep. A really, really bad dream. I grabbed my phone and turned on the torch. The light brightened Jay's face, revealing the tears streaming down her cheeks and the sweat beaded on her forehead. She panted and cried. She was muttering something but I couldn't hear it.

I moved my arm and put my ears closer to her mouth.

"C-C-Cyrus. Stay away. Stay away fr-from them."She muttered.

Cyrus? Cyrus, her ex? Stay away from them? Who? Gab and Kiara? Did that fucker mess with them?

I already had these bad urge to find him. What did he do that Jay was muttering things about him?

I looked at Jay again. She wasn't even responding well. She was pale like a ghost and she gripped the sheets tightly. I called her name.

"Jay, Jay!"I called again and again.

Jay still didn't answer. She was deep in that nightmare of hers. She was too deep. She was being consumed by it.

"JAY! PLS! SNAP OUT OF IT!" I yelled, shaking her body slightly. She finally woke up with the most dead eyes ever. She looked lifeless but had opened her eyes.

"K-Keifer. What happened? Where are they? Where is Kiara and Gab? Are they missing? Where are they?"She shot one after another, rising up.

"Hey, hey. Calm down. You had a bad dream. The kids are at Angelo and Ion's, remember." I said, placing another pillow behind her back.

"Really? That's good." Jay seemed to be dodging my concern and confusion.

"Are you okay? Did you have a bad dream?"I asked.

"Yeah. I want water though."She said and I stood up to get water. I went to the sink and grabbed a glass of water and a wet towel.

I went back to the room, where Jay was texting someone on her phone.

"Who are you texting?"I asked, handing her the glass of water.

"My brothers. Aries, Percy and Brother are all in a group chat so they can grill be about everything."She said, taking the cup. She was biting her lip and her eyes were wet.

I took the towel and started damping it on her face. I didn't care for her reaction but her eyes looked like they were hurting. I damped it on her eyes and around her mouth. Not looking at her lips.

"What are you doing? And why was there no pillow between us?" She asked, questioning me when I should be asking. It's okay, though. She'll surely tell me in her time. Right?

"You drool in your sleep. And you don't remember?"I said, maintaining the teaser I am.

"I don't drool and I don't remember. Did you do something?"Jay asked, covering her arms over her chest. 

"You do drool and you don't really remember? You clung to me like a bear. And then you asked me to sing a lullaby. Before I could answer, you fell asleep in my arms and when I put you on the bed, I couldn't move. I wanted to sleep on the couch, my queen."I said.

"Who are you calling 'my queen' ?"Jay asked, raising an eyebrow.

"You said in the car, 'A gentleman in the car call their woman queen.'"I said. "And you're mine, queen. And you will love being mine."

I held her chin to look at me. Even when she had a nightmare, she was clearly easy to tease. But there is only so much teasing that I could do.

"Whatever. I can't sleep. So talk to me." She said, trying to brush it off. She was so cute.

"Fine."I sat down next to her and leaned against the bed frame. "Wanna play a game?"

"What?"She repiled.

"A game. I remember that we played a game where one of us would ask questions and the other would answer, in high school."I said. I remembered those moments and cherished it so much. The first time Jay ever snuggled up to me. We drank when we didn't answer the question and she had ended up asleep, drunk and slept next to me. The only reason I had to let her leave was because Angelo came knocking on my doorstep.

"I don't wanna drink."She said, slowly getting an idea. "I'll be back."

She stood up and then went out of the room. She came back with two markers.

"If the person doesn't answer the question, the other person draws the faces." She said, handing me a marker.

"Fine." I said, unbuttoning my shirt.

"What are you doing?" She turned away so quickly.

"My queen, I really can't breathe in this shirt." I said, giving her a smirk.

"Fine. Let's play." She said, sitting on the bed, holding a pillow in her lap.

"Why are you so stubborn?"I asked.

"Haven't you met my family? We're all pretty stubborn."She said." My turn."

"Okay." I said.

"What did I do when I was drunk?"She asked, staring at me with cold eyes.

"You ran into the room with Rakki and then was chasing her around the room. The only she stopped was because CI N stopped her and you fell on to me." I stated.

"That's it, right?"Jay muttered through her teeth.

"No. You then went to call me 'Teddy Bear'. And started hugging me like one."I said, her cheeks turning into a slight pink.

"And Percy did nothing?"She asked.

"No. Honey drunkenly fell on top of him and proceeded to flirt with him. Your brother was too shocked to care." I said. I wonder how he was pulling up in the morning.

"We should visit him." Jay said, plotting something evilly.

"Why?" I asked.

"He uses telling Brother something as a way of blackmailing me." She said.

"Crashing Angelo's car?"I answered.

"How did you know that?"She asked, eyes bewildered.
