Jack and I broke up 2 weeks after my party. It was a messy break up.

I'd explained to him that I just didn't feel right being in a relationship with him. He'd been understanding but that didn't stop him from crying. A lot. I'd tried to explain that I still wanted to be friends but he refused to listen and stormed out my flat before I got the chance to finish my sentence.

When Liv's birthday came round a month later her parents surprised her with tickets for a concert. But not just any concert, Niall's concert. And what was worse, they'd gotten her 2 in hopes she take me with her. The hadn't known about my relationship with Niall so they were only trying to be nice by buying a ticket for me aswell. It wasn't like it was a struggle for them to afford 2 tickets because they could quite literally fill an entire house up with money if they wanted to so really they probably didn't think much of the extra ticket.

"Lily he isn't gonna be able to see you in the crowd," Liv tried to convince me.

"Really? Where are the seats located then?"

She mumbled something under her breathe.

"I didn't catch that," I said.

"On floor right near the stage," she said not much louder than the first time but still loud enough that I could hear.

"Exactly, so he will see me!"

"Oh Lil c'mon. So what if he does? You've barely been out the flat since you and Jack broke up, you need to get out and do something."

"And you think going to my ex's concert is the best option for getting out the house?"

She sighed, "Maybe."

"No Liv I'm not going with you!" I said loudly and marched to my room, "Ask Alex instead."

"I don't want to go with Alex, I want to go with you, my best friend," she followed me to my room, "Please please please."

"Fine," I said, annoyed that she won and that I gave in so easily, "But don't expect me to enjoy myself."

When Liv and I arrived at Niall's concert there were already a lot of people there. A man in a black shirt and black trousers showed us to our seats. They were even closer to the stage than I'd realised. In fact, we could touch the stage if we wanted to. I already regretted agreeing to going with her and it hadn't even started yet.

After what seemed like years, Niall finally walked onto the stage with a guitar across him. He was wearing a white long sleeve shirt with the sleeves pushed up his arms slightly, dark blue jeans and brown Chelsea boots. As soon as he appeared the crowd went mad and a gigantic smile appeared on his face. The smile I missed so much.

"Good evening London!" he said into his microphone and there was a huge up roar of screams and cheers from the crowd just at 3 words, including from Liv which confused me slightly because despite that he'd slept at our house before she was still crazy about One Direction and all the members. I seemed to be the only person still sat down.

"How is everyone tonight?" he asked the crowd. I rolled my eyes at him because he was already dragging out the entire concert and I just wanted to leave.

He smiled as music began and he started singing the first song. He played the guitar along with it and sung with such a beautiful voice.

"You'll never love yourself half as much as I love you. And you'll never treat yourself right darlin but I want you to. If I let you know I'm here for you," he sang, looking out at the huge crowd. And then he caught my eye and didn't look away. And I didn't look away either, "Maybe you'll love yourself like I-"

He was cut off by the crowd shouting, "You sing!" which made him smile but he still didn't look away from me until he played the final chord on the guitar and was forced turn away so he could put the guitar down.

"So that was Little Things but you all already know that," he chuckled at his own joke and the crowd cheered. He was nervous, I knew it, "Keep on singing along for this next song, this is through the dark."

The crowd screamed and sang along loudly as he sung the lyrics to a song I didn't know the words to. So I sat in my seat and pulled my phone out my bag. There was a text from Tyler and we ended up having a conversation while Niall was singing effortlessly in the background.

Tyler: Evie just knocked the entire box of cornflakes on the floor and ate them all

Me: What's wrong with that?

Tyler: Now I have to buy more

Me: Oh well

Tyler: Your dog is annoying

Me: Well you should've gone to uni instead of staying at home!

Tyler: Oh piss off

Me: You texted me first!

Tyler: Well I'm leaving now

Me: Wait no! I can't deal with this stupid concert. Liv's singing along like crazy and I'm so bored.

Tyler: Leave then

Me: I can't, Liv has the car keys in her pocket and she jumping around to much for me to be able to get them

Tyler: Climb on stage and get kicked out

Me: You really think I'm gonna so that

Tyler: No but that's all my ideas. Bye now

Me: Ugh

"This is my new song, I heard Niall say into his mic. I put my phone down and looked up at him, "Well not exactly new new but a non one direction song."

Some girl from the crowd shouted, "What's the name of the girl who it's about?"

Niall chuckled, "I'm not gonna say that. But uhh... she broke up with me and when I saw her again she was with another guy so... yeah I wrote this. Enjoy."

The crowd screamed as he adjusted his guitar so it was just right and began to softly play the notes and chords. He avoided my eyes all though the song until right at the very end when he looked right at me and sang, "Everything comes back to you."

The crowd went wild and he beamed at them. He seemed so happy but I could tell there was something bugging him. Whether it was me being there or not, I still felt uncomfortable sat down in the front row and being the only person not to sing along to his songs.
