part 11

(Taehyung POV.)

8:03am

Taehyung had woken up from his slumber to feel his arms securely wrapped around you as he hugged you from behind. He was a bit dazed and confused as to why someone was in his bed but he remembered that they had an uninvited guest yesterday. It wasn't like he was complaining, though. He got you in his bed to sleep with him and he was surprised that you wouldn't push him away. He wasn't sure what his relationship was with you but he couldn't forget the kiss he shared with you in the closet. Now that he thought long and hard about it, he felt stupid for kissing you during such a dangerous situation and tried to convince himself that it was all to keep you quiet so you would be safe. But his heart always felt regret when he'd fall into the pit of denial. He shifted himself slightly and froze when you began to move in his embrace; you shifted over to turn your front towards him, sighing through your nose as you were still asleep. Taehyung's arms still remained around you but he soon relaxed when his eyes fell on top of your peaceful expression. His heart pumped faster as he examined your features so closely and thoroughly, afraid that he may never to get an opportunity to be this close to you again. At this point, Taehyung couldn't deny it anymore.      He was extremely attracted to you. Your weird sense of humor and cute little gestures drove him crazy for you— he wanted you. But he knew he couldn't have you. Taehyung reached up to glide a strand of your hair away from your face and graze his dumb over the high point of your cheek, wanting the moment of only you and him to last forever. He felt an extreme need to keep you with him and keep you for himself; he felt extremely selfish toward you and it didn't feel wrong to him at all. He sighed and leaned in to press a kiss onto your forehead, holding you close as he felt you snuggle closer in your sleep. "Is it bad that I just want you for myself?" He whispered, hoping you couldn't hear him. "If it is, then I'm sorry for being selfish but..." he stared at you as his eyes shifted toward your lips. "I can't help but want you." He slowly began to lean in, wanting to feel your lips against his once more... but he shifted himself away when he saw you turn your head to the side and stretch out your neck. You sighed and slowly opened your eyes, turning back to Taehyung who already had a smile on his face. "Taehyung...?" You mumbled which caused his smile to widen. "Good morning Princess," He said, noticing his voice was still deep and raspy. "How'd you sleep?" He chuckled when he saw your eyelids close again, the drowsiness seeming to still be taking over your exhausted body. "Mm..." you hummed. "I slept really good."      "I'm happy to hear that princess but..." he trailed off and leaned in to whisper into your ear, his lips grazing your skin, "You've got to get up, yeah?" Taehyung felt your head shake under him which made him chuckle again. He lifted himself up and caressed your jaw with his hand. "Maybe kisses will wake you up?" He mumbled and began leaning in but he saw your eyes shoot open, pushing him off of your body which caused him to roll off the bed and onto the ground. His back made contact with the floor and he smirked when he heard you stutter, "I-I'm awake!" He slowly sat up and ran a hand through his messy bed hair, looking over to see you sitting up on the bed with the sunlight shining onto your face. He gulped at the sight he could stare at for hours but he forced himself to stand up. "Come on Princess," he smiled and outstretched his hand for you to grab. "It's time to get out of bed."

11:49am

The morning was filled with joy and laughter with you by his side. He couldn't help but admire how adorable you were; his eyes were completely glued onto you. The other six boys were roaming around the cabin doing their own things but Taehyung was too focused on you. The way you spoke grabbed his attention, your voice made him listen, and your giggles made him melt on the inside. He was completely infatuated with you. "Hello? Earth to Taehyung?" You said as you waved a hand in front of his face which caused him to blink and shake his head. "Yes?" He asked, blushing in embarrassment at how much he realized he was staring. You chuckled. "Were you even listening to what I was saying?"      He laughed nervously. "Haha... maybe?" You playfully rolled your eyes and smiled before looking off to see the girl from before walk into the room. Her cuts and bruises were now covered with bandages. Taehyung had immediately stood up and moved in front of you, in case you were to be hurt. "What are you doing?" Taehyung asked coldly. "I-I just wanted to find a bathroom..." the girl mumbled before Hoseok and Namjoon walked in. They sighed and said nothing before leading the girl out of the room. Taehyung sighed and glanced back over to you, seeing you were trying to peer your sight to follow the three out. He raised an eyebrow to you. "What do you think you're doing?" He asked which caused you to flinch. "Nothing!" You denied. "You know, you don't need to protect me all the time. I'm sure that girl wouldn't even hurt a fly." Taehyung sat down beside you again and shook his head. "You can never know what will happen. You can't trust her so easily." He saw you pout and cross your arms over your chest. "I'm not saying I trust her. It's just, based off of her appearance and first impression..." you trailed off. "She doesn't seem like she could do any harm." Taehyung sighed and thought about your words; he knew you had a point but something in him made him feel sick. He knew that something wasn't right.      Taehyung looked over to you when he heard your phone buzz on the counter, lighting up with a message. He watched you quickly grab the phone before he could look at what the message said. Noticing how fast you were and he frowned. He figured in that moment that there was something wrong. "Why'd you grab the phone so fast?" He asked but you simply shrugged and looked away nervously, setting the phone back down on the counter. Another message popped up and Taehyung was quick enough to grab your phone and hold it up high in the air, your short height being no match for his tall and long legs. "Hey, give it back!" You said as you tried jumping for the phone but Taehyung gave no avail. He looked at the screen to read the messages and his eyes widened.

Unknown:Don't block me y/n. You'll regret it.

Unknown:You'll be dead soon, probably.

"Who is this?" Taehyung asked as he turned to look at you, seeing your ashamed expression. You sighed and looked away, fiddling with your fingers. "They texted me last night..." you confessed and put your hand out, gesturing for the phone. Taehyung had given it back to you as you opened up your messages, showing him the screen of the conversation between you and the psychotic stranger. He sighed and took the phone away from you, shoving it into his pocket. "Hey, give it back!" You said and tried reaching for it but Taehyung grabbed your hand before you could grab the device. "No," He sternly said. "You're not allowed to use your phone anymore." You scrunched your eyebrows together at his words. "What?" You laughed. "Come on, this isn't funny. Just give it back—" "I'm serious y/n." Taehyung interrupted you before crossing his arms over his chest. "You replied to this creep when you shouldn't have and now you could be in danger." You frowned at his response and it made Taehyung's heart clench; he didn't want to do this but he couldn't help it. He wanted to protect you. "Taehyung this isn't fair," you replied, the happiness in your voice suddenly disguised with frustration. "I can protect myself. Besides, this person can't be anywhere close to where I am to kill me. They're just crazy in general!" You said but your frown grew when Taehyung shook his head. "That's the exact reason why I'm doing this y/n. This person is crazy!" Taehyung said and sighed when you turned your head to look away from him. "I'm only doing this to—" "I know, you're only doing this to protect me." You scoffed and rolled your eyes, this time, in irritation and annoyance. "Don't you think you're too extreme? Can't I just delete the app?" You tried to compromise but Taehyung had his mind set already. He refused to give the phone back to you. "You're not getting this phone back and that's final, y/n." He said as he watched you scoff and stand up from where you sat. "What now? You're gonna make me stop breathing?" You sarcastically said before walking off, "I might as well be dead for real at this point." Taehyung could feel his chest tighten at your hurtful words, his heart stinging from the pain. He didn't want to do this to you; he didn't want to take away your freedom. But he wanted to protect you. He wanted you to forever be in his arms and never leave from his sight and it was odd to him that you were the only person who made him feel this type of way. You were the only one who made his heart beat faster or make his stomach all fluttery like in those romantic scenarios. "Fuck," he sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose with his fingers, running his hand through his hair afterwards. He was selfish for you and he couldn't contain it.

6:28pm

That same night, the boys had decided to go on another mission to send the other girl back. She claimed that she was healed completely and the boys had no problem with letting her leave. The seven had gathered around the room along with you on the couch, while Taehyung's head was filled up with other thoughts; you. You refused to talk to him since the conversation you both had in the morning and it made him consider that he may had been a little too strict on your wellbeing. He felt bad and guilty. "So who's willing to stay?" Yoongi asked but all the boys turned to Taehyung since he'd be the one who's usually stay with you. Just as Taehyung was about to speak up, you beat him to it. "Actually," You said. "I was thinking Hoseok could stay with me this time." The boys were silent, glancing over to Taehyung who couldn't say anything other than give his own silence as his answer. Hoseok slowly nodded, "Yeah, I can stay with her. You guys can go ahead without us." The rest nodded and once Namjoon approved it the plan, Taehyung couldn't take being in the same room as you. He immediately stood up and walked outside toward the van, getting his equipment and pulling on his vest full of armor and weapons. He felt angry, frustrated, pissed— he was enraged, but he didn't know why. He felt stupid for being mad at you since it wasn't your fault but more so he felt angry at himself. "Tae," a voice called out to him but he ignored them and continued to load up his gear. "Taehyung!" Hoseok pulled his shoulder to turn him around. "What's up with you? Did something happen between you and y/n?" He asked but Taehyung only shrugged his hand off of his shoulder and turned his back to him again, shoving equipment into his jacket. Hoseok grabbed him again and pulled him away from the truck full of loaded gear, making them facing each other. "Whatever happened, you need to calm the fuck down." Hoseok said with a frustrated expression. "If you don't want to talk about it then at least don't act like a stubborn child." Taehyung rolled his eyes and scoffed. "You wanna know what happened?" He walked to the side and threw his hands up into the air. "Y/n thinks that I went too far in taking her phone this morning. Some psychopath was texting her and she didn't have any common sense and decided to reply to them!" He sighed while pacing back and forth. Now that he began leading his frustrations out, he couldn't stop. "She got mad that I took her phone away but I'm only doing it to protect her. Why can't she see that this is for her own good?!" He threw his hands around in an exaggerated manner and took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves down. "You know what, just forget it." He waved his hand in the air and walked back to the truck, shoving some more supplies into his vest. "She doesn't want to talk to me so I won't bother," Taehyung said as if he was trying to convince himself that he didn't care when in reality, he cared way too much. He felt Hoseok touch his shoulder which made him sigh again. "I'll talk to her," he softly spoke. "And when you guys get back, make sure you two talk it out. Alright?" Taehyung nodded before he heard Hoseok walk back into the house and he was left alone once again. It was going to be a long night for him and he knew it.

8:57pm

It had been almost two hours of driving on the road and Taehyung wasn't sure where they were heading anymore. He regretted not fighting with Hoseok to stay at the cabin because ever since they left, he felt sick to the stomach. Something wasn't in place in his eyes and it was throwing him off that he couldn't contain the overflowing thoughts in his head. In the pit of the night, the truck had suddenly cackled and hopped at a weird pattern causing the pod in the truck to be confused. Seokjin pulled over as the car hiccuped multiple times, the pack of people in the car tumbling from side to side at the movement. Things were dropped and some of the equipment were misplaced but as the car finally stopped, steam was shown coming out from the hood of the car. "Shit," Seokjin cursed before quickly coming out of the car to check on the engine. The rest of the boys made their way out as well as the girl who stood their awkwardly, shifting from side to side. "What happened?" Namjoon asked as Seokjin lifted up the hood, black smog fuming into their faces which caused them to cough. "I don't know," Seokjin waved his hand in front of his face to look through the fog to find the engine. "When I checked yesterday the car seemed fine. I filled the gas tank up before we left too." As the others were looking to see what happened with the truck, Taehyung figured he could go clean up the mess that was inside of the vehicle. He stepped back inside and saw some of the equipment scattered onto the floor and put them back into their original space. As he moved further toward the back seat, he noticed something glowing from under the car seat. He reached under and found a phone with the screen still turned on bright. He knew that the phone was not his or neither of the rest of the guys which only left one option... Taehyung looked at the phone screen and saw that messages were displayed. Although he felt like a snoop for reading them, he felt his stomach twist and cringe when he recognized the same conversation from what you showed him on your phone earlier, with the psychotic stranger. He stared back at the girl who was already searching through her pockets for her phone outside of the truck, not realizing that she had dropped it when the car was breaking down. Suddenly, the mix matched puzzle pieces were being put together and Taehyung felt his heart fill up with rage.
