part 5

"So..." You looked around at the seven boys who stood around your bed. It had been a few days since the accident and that day when Taehyung had told you everything, so the rest of the boys decided to discuss what they should do next. Throughout the few days, you've gotten to know the other six boys more and understood what The Seven were really about; they genuinely cared about others and fought for what they believed in. Meanwhile you were resting since your wounds weren't healed yet but suddenly, they came into your room to tell you what they were discussing about. "What's going on?" You asked them. "So we discussed a lot," Namjoon spoke. "And wee think it's best that you'd be kept hidden from... well, the world." Your eyes squinted in confusion at what he meant. "The world?" You asked and were even more surprised when you saw the seven of them nod all at once. "What do you mean by that?"      You felt genuinely confused at what they meant for you to be hidden from the world. You didn't have any bad feelings nor were you against the idea, but it just confused you to why must you be hidden in the first place. "We all talked about it before but we think you should see this first." Taehyung spoke before handing you his phone that had a headliner at the top.

BREAKING NEWS: Famous company owner along with his wife and daughter found dead in a sudden explosion.

You scanned over the article a couple more times before looking up to the seven boys who stared at you with such intensity that frightened you. "They think I'm dead?" You asked. Taehyung took his phone back from your hands and shoved it into his pocket, his shoulders slumping slightly. "Yeah, but that's the other thing we wanted to tell you about..." he slowly trailed off and scratched his chin, trying to distract himself from the situation. "We knew that the attack would happen so we sort of faked your death with another dead girl." Your jaw dropped open as you heard each word spill out from Taehyung's lips. You couldn't understand what was going on. "You guys... did what?" You whispered while still trying to comprehend what you've just been told. "Look," Hoseok spoke up. "We know it's crazy and we know it would've been a tough shot but it would be best that way since whoever was after your dad, won't be after you either." He softly explained which made you sigh, caressing your temple with your bandaged hand. "We only think it's best to keep you hiding so that you won't get attacked by anyone," Yoongi said. "Besides, you said you didn't want to go home right?"    "Of course I said that but now I have no choice," you sighed while shaking your head. "This is crazy. I won't even ask how you guys did it..." The seven boys looked at each other before Namjoon spoke up again, "We haven't decided what to do yet but we think it would be best to just lay low for a couple of weeks, or maybe months. Whenever the news dies down then we can figure out who we're aiming for." It felt like you were just an outcast and that Namjoon was talking to the rest of the guys while you just sat there. To be honest, it felt a bit awkward to be around them all at once while they had discussions. You felt out of place and out of the group but it wasn't like you were to be a part of it to begin with. In a way, you felt guilty toward them. You'd had thought that Taehyung would only have the burden of protecting you but they seemed to set their minds on helping to simply keep you safe. Soon enough, they had left the room so that you could rest some more. You felt like you've had enough rest but they refused to let you out of bed; either it was because they cared about your wellbeing or they just didn't want you around. You couldn't put your finger on it but something felt strange. You sighed and looked down to your arm and hissed in pain when you saw the bandage on your arm leaked with blood. "Ouch..." you mumbled and swung your legs off to dangle off the bed. "So that's what felt strange." You reached with your other hand to removed the blood soaked bandage from your arms and grimaced at how much blood was oozing out. You undid the bandage and crumbled it, throwing the useless bandage wrap in the trash can. Blood continuously flushed out from your flesh as if it wanted to be set free from your pain-filled body.      "Shit," you cursed when the pain only worsened. You looked around for the first aid kit and reached over to look in the drawler, finding the kit and taking it out with your other arm. You opened it and dug around to find another clean bandage wrap. Bloods was dripping down your forearm and down to your wrist and usually, the sight would frighten you. You did feel frightened but you felt more panic than fright at the sight of blood running down your arm. You were almost trembling when you finally found a new clean bandage wrap and tried to wrap it around your arm but you hissed in pain again. You tried to gently place the wrap around your wound but you groaned in defeat at the pain. "Need some help?" A voice spoke. You looked up and saw Taehyung leaning against the door frame with a slight smirk on his face. "You look like you're struggling, Princess."     "Don't call me that." You said while looking away and leaving the bandage scattered on the bed. "By the way, I'm just fine." He scoffed slightly and walked toward you, sitting next to you on the bed and picking up the new wrap that was now stained with blood due to your precious failed attempt. He held his hand out, "Lend me your arm, Princess." You furrowed your eyebrows. "Didn't I say not to call me that—"      "Just give me your arm," he interrupted which made you frown slightly. You put your arm out to him and his hand grabbed you, his long fingers brushing against your skin. He rummaged through the aid kit and found some small alcohol wipes. He opened a pack and wiped the running blood off from your arms, the red blood quickly disappearing. He gently wiped around your wound and softly blew on your flesh which made your wound feel sensitive to the feeling. You winced when he gently wiped the alcohol wipe directly onto your wound, feeling the stoning sensation run through your body. He quickly wrapped your arm with the bandage and circling it around your bicep. You looked down as Taehyung continued and you looked away when he suddenly looked at you. "You look like you have something to say," he spoke as he broke his gaze from you and looked to your arm as he slowly wrapped it up. "I just have a question to ask," you said and glanced to your arm before looking away again. "You always have a question to ask." He chuckled and dug into the aid kit to grab a clip. "But sure, go ahead and ask whatever." You rolled your eyes at his comment but softly began to speak. "Why did you agree to help my dad?" You knew your question threw him off guard at the way he froze and the bandage slowly began to become loose. Taehyung cleared his throat before fixing up your wrap all over again and sighing, "You're not going to like my answer."      "What do you mean?" You asked him and looked to him. "Did you plan to kill him or something?" Taehyung laughed and shook his head. "No, of course not. It's just..." he trailed off. "I didn't know why I wanted to help him so badly." You continued to stare at him as it was now him who tried to avoid eye contact with you. He held your arm and looked at it, caressing the wrap with his thumbs. "Maybe it was because I knew how desperate he was or maybe I felt bad for him. Maybe it was both of those reasons..." he said and slowly looked up to meet your gaze, staring right back at you. His eyes were mesmerizing that you couldn't help but continue staring at him while he stared right back at you, the tension between you two slowly fading away. You, however, cleared your throat and quickly broke eye contact with him to avoid the awkwardness you knew you would face. "Thanks, for uh," you glanced to your arm. "Wrapping my arm up again." Taehyung nodded and closed the first aid kit before setting it on the shelf. "It's no problem," he said before standing saying "Rest up." And walking out of the room, leaving you alone once again.

12:39am.

You tossed and turned around in your bed but you still couldn't find a comfortable position to sleep in. Every time you'd turn, your body ached and your body screamed in pain which left you awake for the past three hours. You groaned as you stared up at the ceiling as the only light source in the whole cabin was the moonlight that shined through the curtains. For a lost cabin in the woods, it was a bit surprising that the cabin was nicely set up and it felt just like home. You wanted to sleep and you wanted to drift off to dream land and you wanted to forget the day and sleep at night, but your body didn't let you. It was so tiresome and you'd figure that at this point you probably weren't going to get any sleep. Suddenly, your phone buzzed with an unknown number.

Unknown:Hey, I can't sleep.

Unknown: This is Taehyung btw.
