Part 4 Cafeteria

 This will be angsty teehee~ This will have mentions of not eating or sleeping and everything that's mentioned in the description. (actually not everything... anyways, on with the chapter!)

The next day after class, Poe decided to change his routine and go sit with Ranpo at lunch. He did ask him after all...

Poe grabbed his food and walked over to Ranpo and the others. "Hey Ed!" cheered Ranpo as Poe approached the table. "H-Hi." nervously responded Poe. That day the cafeteria served pizza, much to Ranpo's dismay. So while he didn't eat the pizza and instead ate his sweets.

"i swear Ranpo, you need to eat food. Actual food" complained Yosano as she picked up one of his candies, made a face of "this is your diet?" and dropped it back down.

"Well, when the normal food will be sweet, I will" he responded. Poe decided not to interrupt their conversation and took a sip of his coffee.

Then Atsushi and Akutagawa stood up. "We're gonna go, we have class soon" Atsushi told the others and then scurried off.

"How much you wanna bet they're going to make out?" asked Dazai looking at Chuuya. "i ain't betting shit with you!" responded Chuuya.

"But 20 bucks" he added as he took a bite of his pizza. "Well.... I believe it is also time for me to go..." quitely said Poe as he walked away. He needed to finish the story he was writing. As well as he wanted to take a nap, as he walked off, Yosano looked down at his untouched pizza. "hey Ranpo, has Poe ever eaten... things around you?" she asked worriedly. "Well, not to my knowledge no." he responded. Yosano looked at him concerned. Ranpo thought back to the times he and Poe hung out, when he tried out all the different doughnuts, Poe said no when Ranpo offered him one.

Ranpo first thought it was because he hates sweets, and prefers bitter or salty treats but this was the first break after 5 hours, he definitely would be hungry... Ranpo stood up and ran to Poe's dorm. "Ed! I need to talk to you!!" exclaimed Ranpo as he knocked on the door.

There was no answer so Ranpo went in, Poe was asleep on his desk, Ranpo decided to look around for the time being. Ranpo opened the others fridge and saw that it was almost all filled with iced coffee, with only a seaweed salad as a food source (Don't ask, at a store my mom buys these really tasty salads that have mayonnaise, carrots and sea weed. They are really good and are sold in small amounts, it's something that's kinda fancy so I thought of it)

Ranpo got really worried, he realized that Poe spent all of his time writing and didn't eat or sleep at all. Ranpo decided that the only way he could make Poe eat something was by talking to him, and if that didn't work.... he'd have to try a different approach

He decided not to wake Poe up, instead he ran down to the convenience store and bought some ingredients. He bought some eggs, bread, salad and tomatoes, sauce, milk and some snacks for himself.

Ranpo went to Poe's kitchen and started cooking. Poe woke up to the smell of eggs and the smoke detector yelling like crazy.

He jolted and ran into the kitchen. There was Ranpo, trying to flip the omelet he was making. "Ranpo? What are you doing?" asked Poe. "I'm trying to make you lunch." he said determined.

"Why though?" questioned Poe. "Because you don't eat! So the only way I could make you eat is by cooking the meal! Now please shut that smoke detector up!" he explained.

"O-ok!" responded Poe, tapping the smoke detector. They then sat down and ate the meal, Ranpo wasn't great at cooking and this was one of the first times he was trying it, but the food was good, and Poe actually ate. They sat together chatting. Ranpo was glad Poe was eating, and it felt like heaven for them.
