Part 2 Candy Store

 Mention of barely sleeping!

After Ranpo found out he and Poe, his best friend, live right next to each other, he started coming over every day to hang out. They would complain about teachers, Talk about plans, but their favorite thing to do together, was reading mystery novels and buying candy, Poe actually didn't like sweet things that much, but he loved going to the candy store and looking at the different sweets with Ranpo. Actually Poe loved everything he did with Ranpo, he would probably even enjoy dying if it was with him.

Today once more they went to the candy store (tf why did it rhyme?)

They walked out onto the street and Ranpo talked about his latest homework assignment and how it was boring, Poe happily listened to him talk. He didn't care what Ranpo said, he would always listen curiously, he loved hearing the others voice.

"Oh by the way I wanted to try out this new doughnut shop that opened!" ( >:) )

"O-Ok we can go there next!" Poe replied excitedly.

They walked in the general direction but when Poe turned the corner, Ranpo was gone... Poe panicked and looked around, he walked back just to see Ranpo looking around trying to find the way he went. "Ranpo!" exclaimed Poe worriedly running over "Oh hey! I got lost!" he explained.

"Do you mind holding my hand so that I don't lose you again?" asked Ranpo

Poe blushed at the thought of the holding hands, but he agreed and they walked to the store. Ranpo ordered one doughnut of each different kind. One with cheesecake and velvet flavor, coconut, chocolate, powdered, one with jam in the middle, a pink one with sprinkles, a rainbow one and a ton of others.

They went back to the dorms. Ranpo ate his donuts while he and Poe listened to true crime. "It was so obvious he'd push her off of the cliff! She should have known, how did the nurses not figure it out" sighed Ranpo in desperation. "Well, people aren't as smart as you" replied Poe.

"You're right! No one is as smart as me! I'm the best!" said Ranpo, "Yeah you are" quietly muttered Poe.

Poe loved how confident Ranpo was, he found it very attrac- he means he finds it very fun and admires him for that.

After a while they played with Karl, as time passed they decided to part ways as it was getting late and they still had homework, "See you tomorrow ed!" told Ranpo as he stepped out the door way. "Goodnight" replied Poe. As they waved goodbye, he had the urge to kiss Ranpo, it felt like the natural thing to do weirdly...

But it didn't matter, he went to his desk and started his homework, he worked well into the night and by the time he was done, it was 4 am.

He went to bed, just to wake up two hours later.

He got ready and left the dorm.

He had a few classes and he felt tired by the first one... this was not great.

During lunch he went to his room and just slept instead of eating or doing anything.

After he was done with his classes, he went to visit Ranpo.

"Hey ed! How are you?" asked Ranpo as he greeted Poe at the doorway. "I'm good, you?" Poe replied.

"Yeah! By the way, feel free to join me and my friends during lunch, I'd love you to be there."

"Oh o-ok, sure I'll sit with you next time. Tho I don't know any of them so it would be awkward." He thought out loud.

"It's fine! Here I'll introduce you to them today!" Ranpo said as he pulled Poe out into the corridor and into a different dorm.

He opened the door and there sat Atsushi, Yosano, Dazai and Chuuya. "Hey this is my friend Poe! Welcome him!" instructed Ranpo

Everyone greeted Poe, who was panicked at the unplanned social interaction. This was going to be very nerve racking...
