Revenge is Sweet

Two Months Later

We managed to infiltrate the Tokyo facility where the head of Umbrella was currently located. While our clones where keeping the soldiers busy, Alice and I snuck into the lower levels. We could her sounds of gun shots and fighting echoing throughout the facility. We found a helicopter waiting for take off and snuck aboard. Wesker was obviously going to use it to escape. We hid in the cargo area as he readied the helicopter for take off. I could hear a ticking noise and glanced at Alice. I gasped in surprise as the entire facility was blown to bits. I closed my eyes not able to look at the explosion due to the bright flash. Before us Tokyo was swallowed up in an explosion, disappearing off the face of Earth. Alice and I nodded at each other and readied our guns. "Any last words?" Alice spoke before Wesker whirled around and plunged a needle into her neck.

"What the hell did you do?" I yelled clutching a gasping Alice in my arms. I backed away from the mad man as he advanced towards us.

"All those powers of hers, speed, strength, accelerated healing will be gone in a flash."

"But don't worry about being left out Amelia." He said rushing towards me a needle in his hand.

He took a swipe at me but I blocked it and knocked the needle out of his hand. We engaged in hand to hand combat and I managed to land a couple of good kicks and punched when an alarm started ringing. "Pull up terrain, pull up terrain."

I glanced at the incoming mountain and ran back to Alice, we clutched onto each other as the helicopter crashed into the mountain.

We somehow managed to survive the crash but Alice was in bad shape. I helped her crawl out of the burning wreckage. Somehow with our luck I found an empty cabin in the woods and helped Alice heal.

Six Months Later

Now that we have gotten our revenge on Umbrella, Alice and I where headed to a small town called Arcadia where Claire and the others had escaped to. It was a safe haven, supposedly free of infection so the broadcast had said. We landed in a strip of grass, the whole field was full of planes however it was void of any living things.

"Where is everyone?" I said.

"I don't know, let's go check it out." Alice replied.

The whole place gave an eerie vibe and I stuck close to Alice. We found the helicopter the others took but no one was there.  I sighed and sat down on a piece of driftwood on the beach.

"Where could they have gone?" I thought, thinking back to the time I last saw them. I had a feeling that someone was watching me and I subtly turned around to look but all that stared back at me were trees. Alice was busy recording herself and I sighed, not being able to shrug off the strange feeling. When Alice was done we stood up to head back to the plane when a movement in the trees caught our attention.

I saw a person running away and I yelled," Hey wait!! Please stop!"

We ran into the sea of planes, looking for the mysterious person. The door of one plane was creaking open, I took out my gun and pointed it at the door. I slowly opened to door when a bunch of crows flew out, scaring the crap out of me. I turned back to Alice when she said," Look out!"

A punch flew at my face and I dodge to the side. The person tackled me onto the ground and tried to choke the life out of me. Alice smacked her in the back of the head and she crumpled onto the ground.

I groaned and she helped me onto my feet. We both stood over the woman and I gasped," Oh my god is that Claire."

"What the hell is that on her chest?" Alice gasped.

"It looks like a scarab." I replied.

I moved to touch it and it moved, making me recoil my hand.

"We should probably get it off her." I said.

Night had passed and Claire was still unconscious. We had tied her to the plane so she wouldn't hurt us or herself. I was wiping her grimy face with a wet towel when she woke up gasping. She tried to kick me and wiggle out of her restraints. "Hey it's okay, we're not going to hurt you." I said reassuringly.

"I had to get this thing off of you. Who did this to you?" Alice asked holding up the scarab.

Claire didn't reply, she just glared at us. "Do you even know who we are?" I asked.

"It's Amy and Alice, your friends?"

"We met in the Nevada desert, you lead a convoy. KMart, Carlos, LJ, Betty? Does anything ring a bell?" Alice said.

"Maybe that thing wiped out her memories." I said when I saw the blank stares Claire was giving her.

"We should get some sleep and try again in the morning."

I was trying to sleep on the cold harsh ground, I closed my eyes and saw nothing but flashes of what happened in the past. I could still feel the stabbing pain in my arms when I was injected with the T-Virus and all the experiments they did to me. As morning came, I only felt a little rested which was the same as Alice was feeling as I glanced at her. We soundlessly packed our things and I untied Claire from the plane, I let her stretch for a while before tying her up again so she wouldn't escape. We headed back to the plane and I said," There's not enough room for the three of us."

I ended up sitting on Claire's lap and said as an afterthought, "Don't try anything."

"I wouldn't dream of it." She muttered, starting to sound somewhat like the Claire I knew.

Hours later she spoke again," I'm sorry about before, I wasn't myself. I don't remember anything, not even my name."

"Your name is Claire. Claire Redfield." Alice replied.

"Claire." She said.

"Does it sound familiar?"

"Not really." She said.

"Well get used to it." Alice said smirking.

"It's okay, we've experienced memory loss before, it just takes some time to remember everything." I said.

"Can you untie me now?" Claire asked sounding hopefully.

Alice was about to protest when I interrupted her," She's not going to try anything with me here. Right?" I said nudging Claire. She nodded and I took the knife I hid in my boot out and cut her loose.

She rubbed her wrists and muttered a thanks.

We passed the Hollywood sign which was missing a couple of letters. The city showed no signs of life or even the undead. The whole city was scorched and laid in ruins, we circled around trying to look for any sign of life when I noticed a building that was somewhat intact with the words help us in on the roof.

"Oh my god there's actually survivors, look over there." I pointed.

Alice circled around the building looking for a place to land, below us the people where scrambling around trying to clear up enough space for us.

"Hold on tight." Alice said steering us towards the building.

The plane dipped down and we where about to land on the building when a red light started flickering on the dashboard. The plane engine made a coughing noise and the plane nosedived down. Alice managed to pull the plane back up and we made a bumpy landing. Our momemtum carried us across the roof and dangerously close to the edge. We were about to go off the side and I could see the teeming hoard of zombies below us. A loud thump brought my attention to the back of the plane as we where pulled back from the edge. Once we landed safely I jumped out of the plane and onto the roof.

"Remind me to never let you fly again." I said.

Alice chuckled as a guy helped her down," I'm a great pilot." She replied.

"You'll be the death of me." I gasped dramatically.

Claire jumped down ignoring the outstretched hand trying to help her, she walked off somewhere to be alone.

I gave the guy a sympathetic look and said," Don't mind her."

"I'm Amy by the way and this is Alice. She's Claire." I said holding out my hand.

"Luther West." He replied shaking my hand.

"Nice landing." He said to Alice.

"I'm pretty sure it's called crashing." Alice replied.

 "I'm Crystal." A girl said.

"Okay enough with the introductions. You're here to help us right?" A sleazy looking guy said.

"Are you from Arcadia?" Crystal said.

"Did you say Arcadia?" Alice said.

"How do you know about Arcadia?"I asked.

"They said they would help us." An asian guy said.

"They sent you right?" The sleazy guy said.

"No." Alice replied.

"There's others out there right?"

"It's just us." I replied.

"So there's no rescue?" Crystal said.

"No, I'm sorry." I said.

They walked off in disappointment. "Don't take it so personally, they thought you would take them to the promise land." A guy said. "I'm Angel." He introduced himself.

I nodded at him and Alice went to check out the plane. "Will she live?" I asked.

"She'll be fine." Alice said.

Luther walked up to us and I had a strange feeling about him," You look very familiar, do I know you?"

"Yeah I get that a lot. Are you a sports fan? Do you like basketball?" He asked.

"Not really." I replied.

"How about fine italian pieces." He said looking at a billboard.

I laughed at him as we stared at the billboard of him.

"So tell me about Arcadia, what do you know?" Alice asked.

"We've been receiving their transmissions for a while now. Food and shelter, safey and security." Luther said.

"We tried launching flares to get their attention but they haven't responded, that's why we thought you were here to help." Angel said.

"Flares? Who's going to see flares from Alaska?" I asked.

"Alaska?" They asked perplexed.

"Yeah Arcadia is a town in Alaska." Alice said.

"We just came from there." I replied.

"I think you might want to look at this." Angel said holding up a pair of binoculars.

I grabbed the binoculars and zoomed in on the sight before me.

"Arcadia's a ship?" I said passing the binoculars to Alice.

Angel played the broadcast back to us," That's the same message we heard."

The broadcast suddenly cut off," What is that?"

"I don't know." Angel replied.

"That's the last we heard from them, it's been two days." He said.

I sighed, things where getting more and more complicated.

We found Claire looking over the city," Claire, that's Arcadia." Alice said pointing towards the ship.

"I know," she replied.

"I remember the beach, people where coming to help us."

"What happened? Why didn't you go with the others?" I asked.

"I don't know, I can't remember." She said.

"There's only one way to find out, we have to get to that ship." I said.
