Regionals

Regionals came quickly and everyone was excited. Blaine and I helped Mr. Schue pick out the outfits. The girls wore black dresses with blue ribbons around their waists. Boys wore black dress pants and a black shirt with blue bow ties and blue suspenders. It was in honor of Finn.

This year, the set list had to be 3/4 powerful songs. Our setlist was People Like Us by Kelly Clarkson, Best Song Ever by One Direction and The Fighter by Gym Class Heroes featuring Ryan Tedder.

All of us were going to sing People Like Us. The boys were going to sing Best Song Ever and Marley and I were going to sing The Fighter. Mr. Schue chose us because he wanted to showcase some girl talent.

"Alright everyone. Show circle! Come on!" called Mr. Schue.

We all stood in a circle and held hands. We waited for someone to speak up and say the first word. Finally, Artie spoke.

"For Finn." he said.

"For Finn." we all repeated.

"Okay! Hands in the middle." Mr. Schue said.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAMAZING!"

We were performing second. The first was some Glee club called the Whoserdaddies. They sang Clarity by Zedd and Foxes.

"They're good." I whispered to Ryder.

"We're better." Jake said.

Once they were finished, we took place on stage. Kitty stood centre stage because she was doing that first speaking part.

"Ladies and gentlemen. From Lima, Ohio, give it up for the McKinley High New Directions!"

The curtain rose and a single spotlight shone on Kitty.

Kitty: "We come into this world unknown

Brittany stepped forward.

We had the crowd up and dancing. I could see our two opposing teams sitting with their eyes wide and their mouths open. They knew we were real competition.

The crowd gave us a standing ovation. The girls retreated to the side of the stage as the boys got in position for Best Song Ever.

Sam grabbed the guitar and began to play.

Ryder: "Maybe it's the way she walked (Artie: "Ow!")

Through the doors and passed the guards (Artie: "Ow!")

The boys and the rest of the New Directions hurried off stage as Marley and I reentered from different sides of the stage. We stood together with two spotlights on us. The rest of the room was dark.

The crowd gave us a standing ovation as the rest of the club came out onto the stage and bowed. We exited stage giving each other high fives. We rocked that.

The next Glee Club to perform were called the SongBirds. They sang Applause by Lady Gaga and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera.

The three Glee clubs stood on stage, huddled together, hand in hand. I snuck a peak the Whoserdaddies. They were all smirking and I could see the leader of the group practicing her Taylor Swift, "I won? No way!" face. I rolled my eyes.

"We got this in the bag." Kitty said and gave me a fist bump.

The judges came on stage carrying the envelopes that contained the winners.

"Ladies and gentlemen." one announced. "In third place..."

There was a dramatic pause and a drumroll.

"The SongBirds!" the judge announced. The SongBirds gladly accepted their trophy, although I could see they were upset.

"In second place." a second judge said. Another pause and drumroll. "The Whoserdaddies! In first place the New Directions!"

We cheered and hugged each other and quickly went up to accept the trophy. The Whoserdaddies looked deviated as we all celebrated our win.

"We won! We won!" we cheered as we took our trophy back stage. I gave Ryder and hug and a kiss on the lips.

"Marcia?" came a voice. I turned around to see...

"Hunter?"
