~ Fallen? or Just Guilty?

I played with Eva for some more time, even after Haneul returned after doing her work. I suddenly remembered the earlier collision. I would be lying if I said, I didn't find her attractive earlier when I held her in my arms, well not technically but practically. I quickly shook my head, shaking away those thoughts.

"Dadda, you stay here we will watch a princess movie, all together. I want to watch it with you and my mumma." She said, with a pout and puppy eyes, How do I say no to her.

"Okay I'll, but only if you promise dadda that you will complete your homework after watching the movie?" I asked, squinting my eyes. She nodded vigorously, causing us both to chuckle. I reached out cradling her up in my arms, and started walking to our home theatre. "Mumma come!" Eva chimed in excitement, looking over my shoulder. I turned around to see her still standing in the same spot.

"You and Dadda go and set up the movie I'll come with popcorn and some other snacks." She suggested smiling at Eva in my arms. Her boba eyes instantly light up, she smiled widely nodding her head vigorously.

I turned around and started walking upstairs, "You like her so much don't you, princess?" I mumbled, she looked up at me with her sparkly eyes. "So much Dadda, she takes care of me and loves me so much." She chirped excitedly. I felt relieved knowing she was treating my little princess right. Mom and Dad were right at the choice, I think when they said she was a good woman.

"Dadda, I'm happy now that I have my Mumma, whom I can tell anything." She said making my heart swell with happiness that Eva is happy, I did everything was only for her. If she is happy then I don't regret anything.

I smiled, leaning down and kissing her forehead. Then I suddenly remembered how Eva suddenly stole kiss from Haneul this morning. "Princess aren't you becoming so mischievous these days, how can you just steal kisses from Mumma?" I asked, entering the theatre. "Hehe, I always like to kiss her." She giggled, I placed her down on one of the chairs.

I shook my head with a chuckle and went to pick the CD of her favourite cartoon princess movie. I was about to say something, when Haneul entered.

"Here are your snacks, your highness." Eva giggle at her Mumma giving her favourite snacks. 'Did she made those all? Woah!' I thought arranging the movie. She put the blanket on Eva. "Mumma! Dadda! Let's sit on the sofa instead! I want to cuddle you both." I looked at Eva then glanced at Haneul she was looking at me, as if waiting for my response. I simply nodded with my usual straight face.

I went to seat beside Eva, but she pulled me and Haneul more closer to her both sides, causing our shoulders to touch slightly. Haneul arranged the blanket over Eva. The movie started. I had bought my laptop, because I had some work to do. However I didn't started working just yet.

Eva was giggling, and eating her snacks. Soon till the interval she had already climbed on Haneul's lap, leaving no barrier between me and Haneul. Causing me to gulp slightly but I kept my calm. I started working on the side, while Eva held onto my tshirt sleeve in her small fists as she watched the movie. When I glanced at her after some time, she was dozing off snuggling close to Haneul's chest.

I glanced up at her face, she was trying her best to keep her eyes open, a small smile tugged on the corners of my lips looking at them both, I don't know why but I didn't made any move just continued working on my laptop. The movie ran in the background.

'Both of them are looking cute...' Wait what am I thinking? Eva is cute. 'No No Jeon Wonwoo, get a grip on yourself' I was battling myself in my head, when with soft movements Haneul's head landed on my shoulder.

I froze widened my eyes, gulping I glanced at her, she was looking so comfortable sleeping like that. While she had a protective hold around Eva who was sleeping on her lap, burying her small head on her chest.

'What do I do? Wake her up? Or let her sleep?' My heart and mind contemplated. 'She looks tired maybe I should let her sleep.' My heart told me.

For some reason, my heart was beating so fast. 'Have I already fallen for her?' I thought. But quickly shook off those thoughts, convincing myself that I was just being generous because she was treating my daughter right.

'She literally treat Eva just as her own daughter you jerk.' A voice in my head cursed at me.

"Aish! Go away!" I said that out loud, I didn't realise it 'til Haneul flinched awake. I cursed myself in my head, I was really being a jerk.

"I.. I'm sorry... I didn't realised when I dozed off. Sorry to disturb you." She stammered out, making a little distance between us, scooting carefully not to wake Eva up. I just hummed not daring to look at her. However I felt something churning painfully in my stomach, when she scooted away, mumbling apologise.

"Oh the movie is over, are you staying here to work?" She muttered, I just nodded still looking down on my laptop.

"Then I'll keep Eva here to sleep by your side, and go make lunch. It's kind of late." she said glancing at the time on her phone screen, I just nodded, still didn't looked at her.

She shifted Eva carefully on the sofa beside me, I sighed when she went out, I somewhat felt guilty for behaving this way but I didn't told her off, I was telling this to the voices in my head, but I just can't meet her eyes. Was she hurt? I unconsciously pouted....Guys my exams are starting from tomorrow so I might couldn't update on daily basis but I'll try to when I get time!! Wish me luck! 🥲
