Part Thirty-One

Sophia’s POV

It was now eleven and the girls were still in deep sleep; I’d woken up an hour ago and got ready. How to wake them up…

Meh, I’ll just do something simple and easy and totally not over-reactive.

“THE CHALET IS ON FIRE!” I screamed at the top of my voice running around the chalet making as much noise as possible, “FIRE! FIRE! WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE! FIRE! SUPERMAN SAVE ME! AH! IT’S SO HOT! Like me, insert winky face here, I just said winky!”

I fell on the floor laughing and then had a coughing attack from laughing too much.

“FIRE! WHERE’S THE FIRE? HELP WE’RE ON FIRE!” Beth ran in screaming, she had the duvet wrapped around her legs and she tripped on it and was sent flying across the room and landed with a thud on the floor, followed by a groan.

“BEFF! BEFF ARE YOU OKAY? FIRE!” Lauren screamed and ran over to Beth followed quickly by Molly.

“Now that you’re all up- wait where’s Mel?” I asked.

“Erm, last I remember we were went into that night club,” Beth mumbled as they all stood up.

“Same,” Molly and Lauren agreed.

“Coffee’s on the side,” I pointed to the kitchen counter.

“Thanks,” They all muttered and went over to the coffee’s. I chewed my lip and walked around the flat, Mel wasn’t anywhere.nWhere the hell was she? The noise. The noise! Last night! I was just getting to sleep when I heard crashing and groaning; I thought it was just one of the girls falling off their bed or something like that… it must have been Mel. She must have got up and walked out.

I walked to the door and outside the chalet. I heard light snoring and frowned. “Zayn you can’t just pee on the policeman’s leg…” I heard a mumbled whisper that sounded like Mel. She’s dreaming about Zayn peeing up a policeman’s leg. Like Molly did.

I walked around the corner and saw Mel curled up on a patch of grass under a beach towel. I pulled out my iPhone and started videoing her. “Zayn… be my superman…” She mumbled, sucking her thumb. Aw how cute!

Zayn is going to love this! “Zayn, I miss you, please come home soon…” She mumbled again. I stopped recording and bent down.

“Mel,” I shook her shoulders lightly, “Mel, time to wake up.”

“Zayn?” She mumbled her eyes fluttering open.

“No, it’s Sophia, it’s time to wake up Mel,” I smiled.

“Oh, okay,” She mumbled and tried to stand up, nearly falling over but I caught her.

“Hangover…” She moaned.

“Come on, I got you some coffee,” I said and helped her inside.

“So, what do you guys remember anything from last night?” I asked smirking.

“Oh God, what did we do?” They all put their head in their hands.

“Well, I recall Beth thinking she was Superman, Lauren was Spiderman and you two were trying to climb on top of the buildings, then Lauren tried to attack a policeman thinking he was a villain- he tried to arrest you, then Beth tried to rescue you and he tried to arrest Beth too,” I laughed.

“Oh my God!” Beth and Lauren laughed and everyone joined in.

“What about me?” Molly asked warily.

“Oh, you just pretended to be a dog…” I trailed off.

“Oh, so nothing to bad?” She checked.

“Do you count peeing up a police officer’s leg as bad?” I smirked and everyone busted up laughing.

“I didn’t,” She mumbled into her hands.

“You did, it was lucky the three of you didn’t get arrested!” I laughed.

“What about Mel?” Beth asked.

“Oh she wasn’t too bad, she was slugging on the floor for most of it; then she fell asleep outside,” I shrugged.

“Oh that’s alright then,” Mel grinned.

“But you might want to check your Twitter,” I smirked and pulled out my phone quickly tweeting the video.

And then the link to the video.

Within the next few minutes #DreamingAboutZayn and #ZelissaSoCute was trending.

“Oh my God! That’s so embarrassing!” Mel cried.

“I think it’s cute,” I laughed as the others watched the video.

My phone buzzed as I got a mention, it was a tweet from Zayn.

“Aw, did you see that tweet!” Lauren cooed.

“I know!” Molly agreed.

“Guys, we have an hour and a half until we are meeting Janie and Alan,” I reminded them.

“Oh right, let’s go get ready,” Mel said and they all parted.

“Alan!” I shouted as we reached the pier and I saw him and who I guessed was his sister standing by the entrance to the pier.

“Sophia,” He smiled as we walked over to them.

“Oh my gosh! You guys are really here!” His little sister squealed.

“Hello Janie, it’s nice to meet you,” I smiled and hugged her. When I stepped back she looked like she was about to faint, did I do something wrong? “Erm… is she… okay?”

“Yes, she’s just a little star struck, that’s all, she’ll be fine in a minute,” Alan laughed and ruffled Janie’s hair.

“She knows my name,” Janie whispered in shock.

“This is so weird,” Lauren laughed from my side.

“I know right,” I agreed and the rest of the girls nodded.

“Oh my gosh!” Janie squealed looking at the other girls, “You guys are amazing! I ship Zelissa, Hauren, Leth, Siall and Lolly so bad, you guys are so cute together! You’re all going to get married and have babies and it’s going to be awesome!” She stopped immediately and blushed deep red.

“I like her,” Beth grinned.

“Same,” We all laughed.

“You mean it?” Janie smiled brightly.

“Definitely,” Molly grinned.

“Can I have a picture?” She asked quietly.

“Of course, but it’s not like we’re anything special,” Mel smiled.

“Anything special? You’re like famous! You’re the girlfriends of the best boy band in the world!” Janie shouted.

“Aw, thank you,” Lauren hugged her.

“Group hug!” I shouted and we all hugged each other; whilst Alan took some pictures.

“Right, let’s have this picture, how about we take it on the pier before we go on the rides and stuff?” Molly suggested.

“You’re really going to hang around with us?” Janie looked in so much shock. I don’t think her little seven year old heart can handle anymore.

“Of course, why wouldn’t we?” Lauren smiled.

“Because you’re you and I’m only a fan,” She whispered.

“Aw, you much more than that, you’re a friend,” I smiled.

“Really?” She smiled so big I thought her cheeks were going to rip.

“Yeah buddy,” I grinned and she giggled, “What?”

“You said your catchphrase,” She giggled.

“My what?” I frowned as we walked on to the pier all together.

“Catchphrase, you know ‘Yeah buddy’? I have to say, it sounds more awesome in person, and your accent is amazing too! That’s why I think you and Niall are perfect together, you are both so cute, both Irish and both have the same catchphrase,” She explained.

“Wow, I didn’t know I had a catchphrase,” I laughed.

“Yup,” Janie popped her ‘p’.

“Right, how about here?” Alan suggested.

“Sure,” Mel nodded and we all lined up against the barrier- with the sea in the background. Janie was in the middle, I was on her left, and Molly was on my left; Mel was behind Janie, Beth was on Janie’s right and Lauren was on Beth’s right.

“Smile,” Alan said and we all grinned as he snapped a picture.

“Rides!” I shouted as soon as the picture was taken; and then I took off running; I ran off the pier and down the promenade and all the way to the little fair ground was. I paid for some tokens as the others caught up with me. I split the tokens and then we all decided to go on the bumper cars first. I went with Janie all the others were on their own and Alan stayed off the ride with our bags and took pictures.

“Sophia!” Janie squealed as we went head first for some random man who had a crazy look in his eyes. We both screamed as the crazy man collided with us, and me being stupid forgot to put my safety belt on and went flying out the bumper car. Janie was giggling madly as a skidded across the floor and then jumped up before I got run over by Lauren. I did a sexy pose to finish it off.

“That was so meant to happen,” I smiled and did a little swag walk back to my bumper car as everyone clapped me. They actually believed that was meant to happen. Well all except the girls and Janie.

“They actually believe you,” Janie giggled.

“It’s because I’m so amazing,” I laughed and we continued our ride.

After that we went on the Helter Skelter, you know the big slide that goes round a lighthouse looking thing? We did that a couple of times then went on this little train thing, that was epic. We also went on the caraselle, they are always good. Oh and we went on a Ferris Wheel; and there was this room of mirrors that disorientated your body. Oh, and my personal favourite, we had races on the big slides- I won, everytime! And soon enough it was five o’clock.

“Do you want to go and get something to eat?” I asked everyone.

“Sure,” They all nodded and we headed up to where the shop bit was.

“I’ll go and get it,” Alan said as we reached a fish and chip shop- fish and chips two days in a row, gosh I feel fat.

“I’ll come with,” I smiled.

“We’ll wait on the bench over there,” Molly said and we parted the two different ways.

“Thank you so much for doing this, I’ve never seen her so happy,” Alan smiled at me as we entered the chip shop.

“It’s fine; I’ve had a great time. She’s really nice,” I smiled and looked over to where Janie was sat with the other girls and they were chatting and laughing together.

“At first I was worried that you’d be a bit stuck up and think you were too good for us,” Alan laughed and I joined in.

“I can understand where you were coming from, I just hope we’ve proved you wrong,” I grinned and elbowed him in the rib.

“You have,” He laughed and playfully pushed me back, “You’re actually really nice and funny.”

“Thanks,” I grinned. We ordered our food and then we had to wait for a couple minutes as they were just cooking some more fish.

“I’m glad I worked up the guts to come and ask you to meet my sister; today was awesome,” He grinned.

“It was,” I nodded.

“I got some good pictures as well,” He smiled.

“Oh, you’ll have to show us later,” I grinned.

“Definitely,” He smiled.

“Here you go,” The lady behind the counter handed us our order.

“Thanks,” I paid her and we walked out.

“I could have paid,” Alan said.

“It’s fine; honestly,” I smiled.

“Food!” Lauren shouted and everyone laughed at her.

We ate our dinner, having a nice chat and laugh whilst we did so. I’d just finished eating what I wanted, when my phone rang. “Hey Niall,” I smiled and walked away from the group as I answered the phone.

“Hey babe,” He said and I could just imagine the smile on his face. Urgh, I miss him so much. Only one and a bit more weeks until we’re together again, “How are the others?”

“Surprisingly they aren’t that bad. We had a great day actually, we hung out with one of your fans, her brother arranged it with me last night- we spent that day and the mini fairground,” I laughed.

“Aw, sounds fun,” He laughed.

“It was,” I smiled hugely, gosh I loved hearing his voice so much, “So how are you and the boys?”

“We’re good, did a couple of interviews today and we’ve got a gig later on, it’s only one o’clock here,” He answered.

“Oh, it’s five here; we just had dinner,” I replied, then I got a really good idea, “Hey Niall, would you and the boys mind speaking to the fan I told you about? Her names Janie and she’s really cute.”

“Sure, I’ll just get them,” He said and then I heard him shout the lads, “You're on speaker phone.”

“Okay, you are too,” I said quickly putting it on speaker, “Hey boys.”

“Hello Sophia!” They shouted and I laughed as I walked back over to everyone else.

“Niall I love you!” Lauren shouted- doing her best impression of me.

“Niall I miss you,” Beth did her impression of me, dragging out the ‘u’.

“Guys shut up!” I hissed, blushing like mad whilst everyone laughed at me.

“Janie, the boys want to say hi,” I smiled and Janie stared at me wide-eyed.

“Hello Janie!” The boys all shouted.

“H-Hello,” She stuttered in shock.

“So, did you have a nice day?” Zayn asked her.

“It was amazing! Your girlfriends are the best! They are so kind! I love you all!” She smiled happily.

“Thanks Janie, we love you too,” Louis shouted.

“And we know our girlfriends are amazing!” Harry added.

“We’re glad you had a nice day!” Niall laughed.

“Well, it was nice speaking to you but we need to get ready for our gig tonight,” Liam said.

“Okay! It was awesome speaking to you! Thanks so much!” Janie squealed.

“It’s okay, we enjoyed speaking to you!” Zayn said.

“Bye Janie!” They all shouted and I took them off speaker.

“Zayn wants to speak to Mel, is that okay?” Niall asked me.

“Sure, I’ll just pass you over,” I smiled and mouthed to Mel ‘Zayn wants to speak to you’.

“I bet it’s about the video,” She blushed.

“Aw that video was so cute!” Janie grinned.

“You saw it?” Lauren asked as Mel took the phone and walked away from us.

“Yes, on Twitter,” She smiled hugely- I’m sure she has a permanent smile on her face.

“You have Twitter?” Molly smiled, looking like she had an idea.

“Oh yes, I have it so I can keep up to date with you guys,” She nodded vigorously. I swear sometimes I forget she’s only seven years old.

“What is it?” Beth asked as we all had the same idea as Molly.

“The 'at' symbol thing,” She said, “’Janie’ underscore ‘Directioner’”

“Okay, we are all now following you,” We grinned at her as we all followed her on our phones.

“Really?” She squealed.

“Yes,” I laughed.

“Thank you!” She shouted and hugged us all.

“Thanks,” Alan said quietly to me as Janie hugged the others.

“It’s fine; honest,” I laughed.

“Janie, we best get going, it’s getting dark and mum will be worried,” Alan said standing up.

“Okay,” Janie chirped but you could see the sadness in her eyes.

“Hey, we could meet up again right?” Lauren smiled.

“Really?” Janie smiled as hope filled her eyes, “You’d like to hang with me again?”

“Of course,” Lauren smiled.

“Yes, we’re here for another five days,” Beth grinned.

“We need something to do,” I added.

“Thank you so much!” Janie hugged us all again.

“How about you DM one of us when you’re free? We’re free all week so whenever you have time is fine with us,” Molly said.

“Okay!” She grinned.

“Mel, Janie’s going!” I shouted and Mel turned around with tears in her eyes. Is she okay? I mean, I can’t tell if they are happy or sad tears.

“Mel?” Janie frowned a little.

“Janie, let’s leave them to it now, we’ll see you soon,” Alan hugged us all.

“Okay,” We smiled at them and waved as they walked away the we turned to Mel who was still on my phone.

“Niall wants to talk to you,” Mel smiled and handed me the phone.

“Are you okay?” I asked.

“I’m fine,” She smiled.

“Okay,” I nodded and took the phone from her.

“Hey Nialler,” I said.

“Hey babe, I’ve got to go now, but I wanted to say bye first,” He said, aw how cute!

“I miss you,” I smiled.

“I miss you too babe, every day,” He said.

“I wonder what Sophia’s doing!” Someone shouted in the background- Harry?

“What time do you think it is in England? Should I call Sophia?” Someone else shouted- Louis?

“I miss her so much,” Someone else shouted- Zayn?

“Guys shut up, I’m trying to talk,” Niall shouted and I could just imagine the blush on his cheeks- he is so adorable.

“Anyway,” Niall said and I heard a door slam- I think he left the room, “I will see you soon babe, and I love you.”

“I love you too Niall, good luck at your gig, I know you’ll smash it, bye!” I smiled.

“Bye babe, love you,” He laughed and then we both hung up. We didn’t do any of that cheesy crap, you know the ‘You hang up first’ ‘No you hang up first’- you know what I mean; the stuff that makes you want to be sick.

Mel’s POV

Sophia was on the phone to Niall and the boys spoke to Janie for a bit then Sophia turned to face me.

‘Zayn wants to speak to you’ She mouthed.

“I bet it’s about the video,” I blushed. Gosh that video is so embarrassing.

“Aw that video was so cute!” Janie grinned.

“You saw it?” I heard Lauren ask as I took the phone and walked away from them. I walked to the wall and faced the sea watching the waves roll over the beach.

“Zayn?” I whispered into the phone.

“Mel are you okay?” He asked, concern lacing his voice.

I nodded then realised he couldn’t see me, “Yes,” I said but my voice was barely audible I was so worried about what he was going to say about my sleep talking.

“You don’t seem so sure,” He said and I could practically see the smile playing on his face.

“Not going to lie, I’m a little nervous,” I laughed quietly as I bit my lip.

“Why?” He said and I could imagine the cute little frown that would appear on his forehead.

“I’m worried about what you’re going to say,” I sighed.

“About what?” I could imagine the frown deepening.

“The video, of me sleep talking… it’s so embarrassing, I can’t believe I said that!” I gushed.

“Mel, calm down,” He chuckled.

“Sorry,” I apologised, blushing, thank goodness he couldn’t see me.

“Mel, I wanted to talk to you about the video,” He said slowly.

“Oh God,” I muttered.

“No, not in a bad way,” He said quickly.

“Okay…” It was my turn to frown in confusion.

“I loved the video Mel, it meant a lot to me; and it made me realise how much I miss you… it sounds stupid but… I, I just wanted to hear your voice…” Zayn whispered the last bit and I could imagine him blushing a little.

“Aw Zayn,” I whispered as tears of joy sprang to my eyes- I’m not one for romantic things, but this is just too cute.

“So how are you?” He asked after a pause.

“I’m good, hangover’s not too bad, still a little embarrassed that my sleep talking is all over the internet now,” I laughed.

“You shouldn’t be embarrassed, I think it’s very cute. And if it’s even possible, it made me love you even more- I didn’t know you slept talked though,” He chuckled at the last bit.

“I don’t usually, but when I’m drunk or worried I do,” I laughed.

“Okay, well I’ve got to go, Niall wants to talk to Sophia again,” Zayn said.

“Okay, I’ll go get her,” I smiled as more tears came to my eyes; but I wasn’t letting any fall.

“I love you,” Zayn said.

“I love you too Zayn,” I smiled.

“Mel, Janie’s going!” Sophia shouted and I turned around to see them all looking at me.

“Mel?” Janie frowned slightly. I bet they can see my un-shed tears; that’s so embarrassing, I am not one to cry. I turned back round quickly, I didn’t want to be rude, but I didn’t want any of them to see my tears.

“Mel?” Zayn asked.

“Yes?” I replied.

“I just wanted to let you know… I will be your superhero,” He said and I knew he was smirking.

“Thank you Zayn,” I laughed.

“Okay Niall!” I heard Zayn say, sounding frustrated.

“I guess that’s my cue to pass the phone on,” I chuckled.

“Yes,” Zayn laughed, “Well bye babe, love you.”

“Love you too,” I smiled, “I’ll talk to you soon.”

“Okay, just remember time difference,” He chuckled.

“Yes, I don’t want to be waking you up in the middle of the night,” I laughed.

“Meh, for you I wouldn’t mind,” He said. Oh my God, I love him so much.

“Niall wants the phone back now,” Zayn laughed.

“Okay, bye,” I said and walked over to Sophia.

“Bye babe,” Zayn said and I heard him pass the phone over.

“Niall wants to talk to you,” I smiled and handed Soph the phone.

“Are you okay?” She asked.

“I’m fine,” I smiled.

“Okay,” She nodded and took the phone from me, “Hey Nialler.”

“Mel, are you okay?” Lauren asked me as Sophia walked away from us to talk to Niall.

“I’m fine honest,” I laughed.

“Are you sure… I mean you’re not one to cry…” Molly said.

“It’s just something Zayn said,” I laughed.

“Really? What did he say? I can kick his butt if you want,” Beth said.

“No, no butt kicking will be necessary,” I laughed at how protective of her friends Beth was.

“But if he made you almost cry he needs to learn not to mess with us,” Lauren said and Beth nodded.

“No, guys, they were tears of happiness,” I laughed.

“What? You’re happy that Zayn upset you?” Molly frowned.

“No, what he said was nice and it made me happy which made me cry happy tears,” I explained.

“Oh… HAPPY TEARS!” Molly shouted, “Dr Who!”

“Okay Molly,” We all laughed as Molly started rambling about Dr Who and how good-looking Matt Smith was.

“Molly you have a perfectly good boyfriend,” Beth reminded her.

“I know, but it doesn’t mean I don’t find Matt Smith very attractive,” She laughed.

“Okay,” We all joined in her laughter.
