Sophia’s POV

“C to the R to the O to the M to the E to the R, Cromer here we come! C to the R to the O to the M to the E to the R, Cromer here we come! C to the R to the O to the M to the E to the R, Cromer here we come!” I sang loudly as Mel drove us all to the seaside.

“Okay Soph, we’ve heard that verse about fifty times already, isn’t there anymore to the song you can sing?” Beth sighed.

“Yeah, at first it was okay, then it was bad, then it got worse, and basically it spiralled down,” Molly agreed.

“Fine…” I sighed and then grinned, “C to the R to the O to the M to the E to the R! Cromer here we come, we will be reppin’ the streets with our ninja badass moves! There is Lauren- L to the O to the double Z to the A to the R! And her big nose! Then Mel- M to the E to the L! And her large tongue! Also Molly- M to the O to the double L to the Y! And her paedophile smile! Then Beth- B to the E to the double F! And her big mouth! Not forgetting me! Sophia! S to the O to the P to the H to the I to the A! I am amazing and such a ninja! This is my rap and now I’m done, say hello to my bread bins because I like the sun!”

“You like the sun?” Beth laughed.

“It had to rhyme okay!” I said exasperated.

“That was the crappest rap I have ever heard,” Mel commented.

“It was the most wonderful amazingly epic rap in the world!” I shouted loudly.

“What planet do you come from?” Lauren laughed.

“Well, I believe the name of it is Earth,” I said in a posh voice. They didn’t reply, Molly just turned up the radio. Well isn’t that rude. But at least my ears get blessed with the beautiful voice that is known as Olly Murs…

Heaven…

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

When we arrived in Cromer we parked in the near car park; deciding we’d spend the most time we could at the beach whilst the sun was out and it was hot- a rarity in England, let me tell you that for a fact.

I was wearing my denim shorts and a white vest top, underneath I was wearing a simple red bikini and on my feet were my favourite pair of black gladiator sandals; I was also wearing my red ray bann shades. I had a bag on my back that had a towel in and some other things. I was lotioned up and ready for the sun baby!

“I am woman! Hear me rawr!” I screamed and ran down to the beach. I swear I saw some parents pulling their children away from me…

“Soph! Soph hold on!” Lauren shrieked and ran after me.

I made it to the sand and dropped my bag on the floor. I carried on running to the sea, dropping extra bits of clothing on the floor until I was only in my bikini and shades. I made it to the water’s edge and ran in.

“Holy songbird that’s cold!” I screamed and turned back to see Lauren was videoing me on her iPhone. Well that’s embarrassing. Along the beach you could see a trail of my belongings that Molly was picking up and putting in a pile with the rest of our groups things.

“It is the sea Soph!” Mel laughed.

“Come on guys get in!” I laughed and splashed them with water.

“Oh it’s on!” Beth shouted and ran into the water splashing me with water. She was wearing a blue bikini and her blue ray bann shades.

The others all joined in and we ended up having a full on splash war. By the end of it we were all soaking wet. Lauren had laughed so much she couldn’t even stand up and she slipped under the water; she grabbed my hand trying to stand back up and I fell down and went under too. I jumped up spluttering out salty sea water.

“Ew! Someone has peed in here!” I shouted in outrage.

“Soph, it was probably you,” Mel said seriously.

“I would not pee in the sea…” I then burst out laughing and turned to Lauren. She gave me the look and I sent it back.

“It’s funny because it rhymes!” We both shouted and then cracked up laughing before high-fiving each other.

“I’m going to sun bathe, anyone coming?” Molly asked.

“Yeah buddy!” I shouted and all of us left the sea and went back to our towels. We dried ourselves off a bit; because don’t you just hate that feeling when you are covered in water or lotion and you’re in the sand and it sticks to you! Urgh, it is so frustrating.

So, there I was casually sun bathing, when suddenly a tidal wave of sand was sprayed over me. “What the hell?” I screamed sitting up and spitting sand out of my mouth.

“Oh I’m sorry,” Some boys turned round, they were quite good looking but I have Niall. They were holding surf boards, so I guess they were part of the surfing club here.

“It’s fine, I love eating sand,” I muttered angrily.

“Here,” One guys passed me a water bottle. I didn’t think twice before opening and taking a swig and then spitting it back out in the sand away from people. Thank God that sand is out of my mouth.

“Thanks,” I passed him the bottle back.

“It’s okay,” He smiled.

“Oy! Alan! Stop flirting and get over here,” Some man shouted and the other boys (there was about ten of them) busted up laughing.

“Coming,” He shouted and then turned back to me, “Here’s my number.”

He took my arm and wrote his number on my hand before I could protest and tell him I had a boyfriend; then he ran off up the beach and to his surf class.

“Well that’s awkward,” I muttered.

“Yeah, he didn’t even give you chance to refuse,” Mel laughed.

“Well, I’m going to head back to chalet, anyone coming?” I asked standing up.

“Sure, we can head back and then get ready and go out tonight?” Lauren suggested.

“Yeah buddy,” We all agreed.

When we got to the chalet we all took it in turns to shower and wash our hair- because of the sand and sea water that was in it. Then we got changed into evening clothes- I was wearing one of my many white summer dresses that came just above my knee; it was surprisingly warm tonight. The rest of the girls were wearing similar things to me.

“Everyone ready?” Mel asked.

“Yes,” We all nodded and grabbed our purses.

“Riverside!” Lauren shouted.

“Let’s go!” We all shouted and then did the weird tune thing that comes after the line in the song- you know the weird noise… yeah that one! No, okay… Listen to the song, you’ll know what I mean. We all laughed and Molly locked up, putting the key in her purse.

“Where to first?” Beth asked.

“Food!” Lauren shouted and we all laughed.

“Food it is,” Beth grinned.

We walked from our chalet into the centre bit of Cromer where all the shops were and went to a fish&chip shop. We ordered our food and got it as a take-away. We walked over to where the beach was and sat on the stone wall in front of it, looking out on to the sea, as we ate our food.

“We have to go on the pier tomorrow,” Molly grinned.

“Totally,” Mel agreed.

“I want to go on the fair!” I shouted.

“Okay Sophia,” They all laughed.

“But you know you want to as well,” I smirked.

“We do,” They sighed in defeat.

“We’re going to look so badass on the kids fair tomorrow,” Lauren laughed.

“We will,” Beth laughed.

“To the pub?” Mel asked.

“What?” Molly and I gasped, looking appalled.

“You don’t want to go to the pub?” Lauren, Beth and Mel frowned.

“We do, but not now!” Molly shouted.

“Yeah! We have to go to the slot machine things first!” I nodded.

“It’s like tradition!” We both shouted at the same time.

“Okay, okay, jeez, sorry we haven’t come here before,” Mel muttered.

“I’ve only came here once and I know that,” I shook my head disappointingly at Mel.

“Come on, let’s go then,” Molly grinned and we all walked into one of the near slot machine places.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

“I won!” I shouted, “In your face!”

“I won the time before!” Beth shouted back at me.

“No way! I did!” I shouted.

“Girls it doesn’t matter it’s just a game,” Mel laughed.

“Just a game,” Beth and I scoffed.

“This Mel,” I started.

“Is a very important moment in our lives,” Beth continued.

“So,” We both said at the same time and then shouted, “I won!”

“No I won!”

“No I did!”

“Stop doing that!”

“What?”

“Talking at the same time as me!”

“You’re speaking at the same time as me!”

“Am not!”

“Am too!”

“Well I won”

“No I did!”

“You’re fighting over a flipping race cart game,” Lauren laughed and cut up Beth and me fighting, although she was rudely talking at the same time as me.

“It is important!” Beth and I shouted.

“Why are you two talking… or shouting, at the same time as each other?” Molly laughed walking over.

“I’m not talking at the same time as her! She’s talking at the same time as me!” We both shouted.

“This is too funny!” Mel laughed as she filmed us on her iPhone.

“Urgh!” Beth and I sighed in frustration. “Let’s go to the pub.”

“Okay,” The other three laughed.

“Stop talking at the same time as me!” I hissed to Beth.

“I’m not!” She frowned.

“You are!” I pouted, “Well… you were.”

“I was not!” She shouted.

“Stop!” Mel, Lauren and Molly shouted as we walked out of the slot machine place about two hours after we’d gone in.

“Whatever,” I huffed as we crossed the street to the pub. Everything is very close in Cromer.

“I’ll go get the drinks, what does everyone want?” Mel asked, being the oldest out of us all.

“I’ll have a-“ I started but was cut off.

“Nothing alcoholic, you’re under age,” Mel smirked.

“Oh come on! I’m nearly eighteen! I’ll be eighteen in less than three months!” I groaned.

“Well you’re not eighteen yet, so suck it up,” Mel grinned.

“Being seventeen sucks,” I moaned.

“We were all seventeen at one point,” Molly laughed.

“Yeah, but you’re not anymore,” I sighed.

“So, you’ll have a orange juice?” Mel smirked.

“Whatever,” I grumbled.

“Oh, someone’s moody,” Beth smirked.

“Who wouldn’t be, she’s so young,” Lauren pinched my cheek.

“Stop bullying me,” I whined like a three year old.

“Aw, is didums upset,” Molly cooed.

“I’m only a few months younger than you lot!” I complained.

“Ah, but that still makes you young,” Lauren smirked.

I ignored them as they continued to laugh at me and pulled my phone out my pocket. I had a text from Niall, I grinned and opened it up.

From: Nialler <3

Hey babe, hope you’re ok, missin u like crazy! Only two more weeks! Love you ;D x

I smiled and quickly typed a reply.

To: Nialler <3

I’m ok except gettin bullied by the girls for bein underage at the pub :( missin u 2! Love you baby, see you soon tho! <3 xx

“Oh, is Sophia texting her boyfriend,” Molly smirked and grabbed my phone from my hands- but luckily I’d sent the message.

“Oy! Give that back!” I laughed and tried to grab my phone but Molly passed it to Lauren who held it out of my reach.

Lauren read out the two texts and the three of them started making fun of me again. As if they don’t talk like that to their boyfriends.

“Love you baby,” Beth mocked me as Mel put the drinks on the table.

“Here’s your orange juice baby,” Lauren smirked and pushed the glass of orange juice over to me.

“Forever alone with my orange juice,” I laughed with the others.

“Hey Sophia, isn’t that the guy from the beach?” Molly whispered in my ear as the other three started their own conversation.

“Who?” I frowned.

“The guy walking over to us, isn’t he the guy that gave you his number?” Molly asked again.

“Huh,” I looked over to where she was looking and sure enough the guy from the beach was walking over to us wearing a cocky grin, “Yup.”

“He’s coming over,” Molly muttered, “He’s getting closer… and closer… and closer.”

“I am aware of that Molly, I do have eyes,” I laughed.

“I was just saying,” She smiled, then her smile dropped, “What if he asks to talk to you?”

“I’ll let him speak and then tell him I have a boyfriend,” I shrugged, “I’m a big girl, I’ll deal.”

“Okay, if you say so, but you’re the one with the orange juice,” She sang.

“Again with the juice!” I sighed in frustration and Molly laughed.

“Sophia!” Lauren shouted across the table- even though I could hear her perfectly if she whispered…

“Yes?” I shouted back.

“Why are you shouting?” Lauren asked at normal voice level.

“Because you were…” I frowned, talking at normal voice level as well.

“No I didn’t,” She smirked.

“Yes you did! Don’t lie to me!” I shouted.

“Now who’s shouting?” She smirked.

“Sophia is it?” Surfer dude asked as he got to our table, he was looking straight at me.

“Yes,” I nodded, feeling everyone’s eyes on me.

“Can I have a word?” He smirked.

“Sure,” I muttered and stood up. I slid out my seat and followed him outside.

“I’m Alan by the way,” He smiled.

“Right,” I nodded, trying to sound interested in what he had to say.

“I just wondered if you wanted to come out for a drink with me?” He smiled.

“I have a boyfriend,” I shook my head and walked off.

“I know, it’s Niall Horan from the boy band One Direction,” He said.

“Oh… then why do you want to have a drink with me?” I asked utterly confused.

“Well, you seem nice… and…” He trailed off, scratching is neck sheepishly.

“Why?” I asked smiling.

“My sister’s a huge fan of One Direction, and she loves you and the other girls, she looks up to you all and I just wondered if you could meet her,” He smiled and looked at the floor.

“Sure,” I smiled, why not?

“You don’t have to, I mean, you’re on holiday, so I guess you’re busy,” He started but I cut him off.

“I said, yes, we’ll meet her,” I laughed.

“Oh right,” He mumbled.

“We’re going to the pier tomorrow; she could come meet us there?” I suggested.

“Sure, she’d love that, what time?” He asked.

“Erm, how about one, then we can get some lunch as well,” I smiled.

“Sounds great, thank you so much,” He hugged me and then we both laughed.

“It’s fine, what’s her name?” I asked as we walked back inside.

“Janie,” He replied.

“How old is she?” I asked.

“Seven,” He answered.

“Aw, cute,” I grinned.

“Yeah she is,” He grinned back.

“Well I’ll see you tomorrow,” I hugged him quickly and he walked back to his friends and I sat back in my seat. All of the girls were staring at me wide-eyed and mouths open.

“You’ll catch flies,” I sang.

“What was that?” Mel asked.

“What?” I frowned, had I missed something?

“You… him… hug… huh?” Beth struggled to form a sentence.

“His sister is a fan of One Direction, she wants to meet us. I said she could meet us tomorrow and we’ll spend the afternoon together on the pier,” I laughed at them all. They make quick assumptions.

“Oh,” Lauren muttered and they all closed their mouths.

“How old is she?” Molly asked.

“Seven and her name is Janie,” I answered.

“Okay, what time are we meeting them?” Beth asked warily. Probably praying it wasn’t early.

“It’s okay guys, I made sure it wasn’t early, we’re meeting them at the pier at one o’clock,” I laughed.

“Sounds great,” Mel smiled.

“Right are we ready to go?” Lauren asked, downing the last of her drink.

“I am,” I said after downing the last of my drink too.

“Me too,” Beth grabbed her purse off the table.

“Me three,” Molly nodded and stood up.

“Yup,” Mel smiled and led the way out.

We were walking back to the chalet when we saw a night club and heard music blasting out- What Makes You Beautiful.

“Let’s go!” Lauren squealed and we walked over to the bouncer’s at the door.

Once they had let us in we walked over to the dance floor bit. The music was booming everywhere and we all started singing and dancing to our boyfriend’s song. The four of them got drinks whilst I just stood there, I wasn’t thirsty.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

“Maybe we should head back now…” I suggested- it was now one in the morning and we had to meet Janie and Alan tomorrow… or today, whatever.

“No! I want to stay Up All Night!” Molly slurred.

“Aren’t you so funny,” I mumbled as she laughed at her own- very bad- joke.

“No Beth! Lauren! You can’t just go and stroke someone’s beard!” I shouted and pulled them away from the man.

“Guys please,” I moaned and as pulled them out if they club. Me being the only sober one out of the five of us; I had to get them back to the chalet safely- and hopefully quickly.

The five us stumbling back to our chalet must have been a sight. I probably looked drunk even though I wasn’t because I was trying to support the others- which was hard to do when Lauren and Beth were running around holding hands and trying to climb on the top of buildings, claiming they were Superman and Spiderman; Molly would stop at every lamp post we passed and pretended to be a dog peeing up it; and Mel was dragging herself along the floor like a slug.

Why did they have to get drunk?

I am going to kill them tomorrow.

I pulled my phone out my pocket as I felt it buzz- I was giving up on the four of them, they can do what they want, I’m going back to the chalet.

From: Nialler <3

Aw sorry baby, have a nice night xx

I laughed and rang him. “Hello?” He answered.

“Hey Niall,” I smiled as I heard his voice.

“Sophia!” He said loudly.

“Sophia? What is she doing up now, won’t it be like mid-night there?” Liam asked from the back ground.

“Actually it’s about half one in the morning,” I laughed.

“Half one, what are you doing up now? Is everything okay?” He asked sounding worried and I heard everything go silent behind him- I have a feeling I’m on speaker phone.

“Yeah it’s all fine, well, I have four drunk girls with me… Mel’s slugging her way home, Molly’s pretending to be a dog peeing up a lamp post, Beth and Lauren are now superhero’s and trying to climb on the top of the shops,” I laughed.

“They’re drunk?” Louis laughed.

“Yup, I’m trying to get them back to the chalet, but it’s not working,” I laughed.

“Have fun,” Harry laughed.

“I am, it’s quite amusing actually,” I grinned.

“SUPERMAN!” Beth screamed loudly.

“She learns from the best…” Louis laughed.

“SPIDERMAN TO THE RESCUE!” Lauren screamed and started making weird noises that sounded like she was shooting something and she ran around pretending to shoot the web thing out of her wrists.

“Was that Lauren?” Niall laughed.

“Yep,” I laughed then stopped, “NO! Lauren! That’s not an evil villain! Lauren that’s a policeman! Molly you can’t just pee on his leg!” I shouted.

“I’ll save you Lauren!” Beth shouted as the police officer tried to arrest Lauren.

“I’m going to have to go! The policeman is trying to arrest Lauren, Beth and Molly!” I said running over to them.

“What about Mel?” Zayn asked.

“She’s still slugging,” I laughed, “Sorry, I’ll call you tomorrow or something, bye!” I didn’t wait for a reply I just hung up. Sorry boys.

“Please, I’m sorry! Don’t arrest them, they got a little drunk, I’m trying to get them back to our chalet,” I begged the policeman.

“I’ll help you get them back to the chalet and you’ll get let off with a warning but if it happens again I’ll have to arrest you,” The policeman said strictly. What I’m not even doing anything!

“Fine,” I sighed.

“Right, I’ll take these two, your take her,” The policeman took hold of Lauren and Molly by the arms.

“I’m sorry about her peeing on you…” I said as I looked at the policeman’s wet trouser leg.

“I’ve had worse,” He chuckled.

“Ew,” I laughed, taking hold of Beth and Mel.
