Kaji's POV

Let me tell you, walking beside a carriage with two stuck up brats inside, was not fun. Especially in this blaring heat.

I usually don't complain about missions, but I think I deserve to, at least, for this one.

"Father, where are we going?" Hikaru questions exasperatedly, dragging out a sigh at the end. I think we could all tell he was getting annoyed in there, suffocated by the smell of roses and tulips. Hell, I could smell them from out here.

"We're going to visit your mother." We hear him say, hearing a quiet, almost inaudible, gasp coming from Hikaru.

A few minutes after he says that, we arrive at a cute cottage that overlooks the ocean, a neat garden in the front. A woman in a light green dress and coal black hair is in the garden picking berries, placing them neatly in a wicker basket.

Michiru's white and gold carriage arrives right in front of the fence that outlines her house, making her look up in surprise.

A servant opens the door of the carriage, and she gets up.

She's very pretty, looks to be around 28.

Michiru steps out with way too many flowers in his hand, so many in fact, that they cover his head. Hikaru is still in the carriage though, and no matter how cliche this must seem, a light shone through the door, landing on his body.

She gasped, dropping her wicker basket of berries and stepping on a few, shoving Michiru out of the way. Hikaru steps off the carriage just in time to be scooped up into a hug.

I start to play with my fingers, hearing the mother talk to her son with pure joy in her voice.

"Oh Hikaru, my beautiful boy! Look at how much you've grown." She says, wiping a tear from the corner of my eye.

"Amayo! Don't you remember me?" Michiru asks, lowering the flowers so you could see his face.

"Who're you?" She asks, looking at him with a strange face.

She literally had sex with him and bore his child. She doesn't know who he is?

"It's me!" Michiru whines, dropping a few bundles of flowers in the process.

She looks shocked for a second, flashes of recognition going through her mocha brown eyes. "Michiru?"

"Of course!"

"But... But you're too fat to be Michiru!" She yells, hugging Hikaru closer.

Michiru sniffles like a kid, "Well it's only because of you. Ever since you left, eating has been my only way to get out of my sorrows!"

She looks at him weirdly, walking in her house.

Michiru follows and I go to sit on the rock ledge that over looks the ocean. I've never liked going into or onto the ocean, but I do like looking at it.

Hikaru follows me, and we both sit in silence, listening to his parents argue.

(A/N you know when your at a friends house and their parents are arguing at the dinner table and you want to ask for the salt but the salt is in between their up and coming divorce)

"Come back with me Amayo!" Michiru whines.

"No, my only regret is Hikaru. If it wasn't for that stupid marriage agreement I'd take Hikaru and raise him here, with me." Amayo yells back at him, slamming her hand onto something.

"I can give you anything you want!" Michiru bribes.

"You never gave me the most important thing." Amayo says, sighing in exasperation.

"What is it? Do you want the family jewels? You can have them my dear! Or what about a vacation how for your parents? That way, they can visit us all year round!" Michiru says, trying to convince her. I turn my head just at the right time to see Amayo slap Michiru in the face.

"You still don't know... What's truly important..." She trails off, leaving.

(Time skip)

"You go Prince!" A circus girl in a revealing bunny costume yells, dancing around with him.

"This is taking all of my problems away!" I hear him yell back.

I heard Naruto whining in the background, but I couldn't really see him.

They were at the back of the huge ship, partying, and I was at the front. Well, I was on the farthest point of the pole that sticks past the bow, or the front of the ship. I put chakra on my legs and butt to make sure I don't fall off, cause that would suck, and my feet dangled off of the edge.

I was in the section where they kept most of the animals, a few too big to be in cages, but still in this section. I came by to drop off extras at every animals cages, being the only one who remembered to feed them. Apples for the zebras, an apple for Kiki and a huge turkey leg for Chamu. Turkey breasts for the polar bears and pandas, a head of lettuce for the giraffe, and three heads of lettuce for the elephant.

The breeze softly blew my hair in all directions, the smell of sea salt drifting to my nose. I've seen a few Dolphins using the waves the ship makes to swim in, and a school of fish jumping out of the water for a split second. A flock of seagulls drift past me, making my hair blow in that direction. I close my eyes slowly, allowing myself to be fully at peace.

Maybe not fully, but close.

My eyes snap open, seeing a storm coming up ahead.

"This is not good." I mutter to myself.

(Time skip)

"Get all the animals inside!" Someone yells.

What the hell did he think we were doing?

Rain harshly fell on all of us, our wet clothes sticking to our bodies. My hair was heavy and it was hard to see with all the rain going into your eyes. I stumble back a little bit, a big wave moving the ship and all of its cargo to the left. Almost slipping and falling on my butt, I get back to what I was doing, cursing quietly.

I lead the polar bears and pandas inside, telling them to stay there.

"Hikaru!!" Naruto yells, catching my attention.

Naruto quickly makes one hundred clones, each of them linking hands to rescue Chamu and Hikaru.

Finally, after a lot of pulling, they were safe.

(Time skip)

The sun came out from its hiding place, peeking through the remaining of the clouds. Me, Lee, Sakura, Naruto, and Kakashi all waited on the steps, along with all of the circus people, waiting for the prince and his son.

Michiru and Hikaru finally walk out, Michiru immediately going to talk to the announcer. However, Hikaru stops dead in his tracks, frozen solid.

Chamu emerges from the crowd of circus people, his yellow-green eyes piercing through Hikaru's brown ones.

He stalks towards Hikaru, his large paws making a surprisingly soft sound when they hit the hardwood floor. He makes it to Hikaru and walks in circles around home, seemingly studying him. Finally, he stops, and lays down in front of Hikaru.

His eyes widen at Chamu's act of acknowledgement, shakily putting his hand forward. In the background, Michiru and the announcer are whisper yelling for Hikaru not to do it.

But he does.

Hikaru's hand finally lands on the softy grey fur, slowly petting it. Hikaru sits down beside Chamu, and I see Naruto walk up to Hikaru.

Hikaru looks slightly afraid as he does so, probably expecting Naruto to hit him.

"I'm, um... Uh, I'm... Im sorry." Naruto finally spits out, bowing his head.

"I shouldn't have said those things and... I'm sorry." Naruto continues in a rush. He raises his head back up, "You're not useless, and you aren't a coward. I'm not the only one who know it too. He does." Naruto says, pointing at Chamu.

"I just wanted you and Chamu to be my friend... I expected both of you to trust me so soon." Hikaru says.

Called it.

"Why didn't you just ask? From now on, we're friends!" Naruto says happily, putting his hand out for Hikaru to put his own hand on top of.

"Hey! I would also like to be your friend!" Lee yells, walking over and putting his hand on top of Hikaru's.

"Count me in!" Sakura says, smiling at Hikaru. She puts her hand on top of Lee's hand, and I sit on the railings silently.

A moment of awkward silence happens, and everyone turns to look at me expectantly.

"What?" I ask, confused.

Some random circus guy slides towards me and whispers into my ear.

"This is the part where you band together with them and tell Hikaru you want to be his friend." He whispers, sliding back into his place.

"Did you guys really expect me to?" I ask everyone, them nodding their heads.

I snort at the stupid notion, waving my hands at them as if to say 'Go away, I'm not gonna do anything.'

Hikaru doesn't even notice that I haven't put my hand on as he starts crying, and I widen my eyes, turning towards Kakashi.

"Why is he crying?!" I whisper in a panicked voice. If something happened to the boy because of me, Tsunade would beat my ass up.

"He's crying tears of joy, Kaji." Kakashi says, amusement lacing his tone.

I sigh in relief, the image of Tsunade beating me to a pulp leaving my head, to my relief.

A huge voice booms from the front of the ship, "We're here!"

Well, shit.
