Chapter 9 - (1.5K Words)
01:12, 25 March 2016You tried to pull away from Hoseok, but he was too strong for you. Instead, he only pulled you closer, and wrapped his other arm around your waist. You were glad he didn't try going any lower on you.
"So I guess it's just you and me," Hoseok said, giving you a cheeky smile. You looked away from him, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of seeing you. He chuckled, and nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck. You pushed him away as hard as you could, and he gave you a hurt look.
"You don't need to be so cold, (Y/N)," he said, releasing your hands and stepping away. "You might end up regretting it later. After all, I'm a fairly nice guy."
You rolled your eyes at him, trying to hide the light pink blush playing at your cheeks. You quickly turned away from him so you could hide yourself, and looked around the room at the other boys. Everybody already seemed to be doing their own thing.
Namjoon and Jimin were already sprawled out on two of the smaller couches. The blankets were draped lazily across their bodies, and you could already hear one of them snoring. You could see that Namjoon's mouth was wide open, and you had to hold back your laughter. Jimin's arms and legs were poking out at weird angles, which couldn't have been comfortable at all.
Where's Jungkook at? I thought he was taking the first watch.
You heard a weird metal clanking sound, and you turned around to see Hoseok, pulling a bed out of the big couch. He plopped down on the edge of the mattress, and patted the spot next to him, giving you a suggestive look. You swallowed and bit your cheek, trying to hide the slight blush you still had.
"Shouldn't we get to sleep?" He asked, giving you a cheeky smile. "After all, it's fairly late. And you're going to have to sleep, you'll need your strength for tomorrow."
"I'd rather not share a bed with you," you said, lowering your gaze to your feet, trying to hide the slight blush you were wearing.
"What's wrong? Never slept with a guy before?" He asked you, a smirk playing at his lips. You wanted to punch him square in the jaw just for that comment.
You were about to spit back a nasty reply at him, but you figured it wasn't worth it. You hadn't even thought about what words were going to come out of your mouth. Whatever you were going to say was about to make it worse. A one-worded answer was all you needed.
"No," you blankly stated.
"Really?" Hoseok asked, genuinely surprised. "A girl like you has never been with a guy like this before?"
You were taken aback by the kind words he was saying. All of your anger dissipated. This isn't how captors normally treat their prisoners, is it? Nobody was ever this nice to you, unless they wanted something in return.
"So why don't you come lay down with me?" He asked, shaking you from your thoughts. "I promise I won't do anything."
I think I can trust him, he's being really sincere...
You cautiously stepped forward, and Hoseok gave you a warm, confident smile. You came to sit on the edge of the bed, and then worked your way underneath the little blanket that was covering the mattress. You rested your head carefully on the pillow, and you moved so that you were comfortable.
"You won't hog the covers, will you?" You asked. Hoseok didn't answer. You turned around, and instantly covered your eyes with your hand.
His shirt was over his head, and you could see his back muscles. His jeans were already discarded, and laying on the floor not too far away. He was standing with his back to you, in only his blue boxers.
What does he think he's doing!?
"H-Hoseok!!" You managed to squeak, your cheeks turning beet red. "Please--put your clothes back on!!"
"I'm sorry, (Y/N)," he chuckled. "But this is how I sleep--in my underwear. You'll have to bare with my bare body. If you're that uncomfortable with it, then you can put a pillow in between us, okay?
You flipped away from him and uncovered your eyes. You took one of the pillows on the floor and put it behind you, desperately hoping that Hoseok wouldn't try anything. He was already partially naked, you didn't want him to get the rest of the way.
You could feel a tug on the covers. You felt a presence slide into the bed beside you. Your body instantly stiffened, and your heart rate increased. You knew that there was a pillow separating the two of you, but you were still extremely nervous.
"Yah, you're so tense," Hoseok said, still settling in beside you. "If it'll make you feel any better, why don't you just take something off, too?"
"That's not funny."
"Sorry," Hoseok whispered, ushering in a wave of silence between the two of you.
You laid there, silent. You wanted to talk to Hoseok, he felt different than all the others. But you weren't sure how to start talking to him. You also weren't sure if getting involved with him was a good idea. He seemed like a good person, but he did also have a part in your kidnapping. Luckily, you didn't have to think about it long.
"Hey, give me your hands," Hoseok said, lifting himself up onto his elbows. You rolled over and shot him a confused look. You shook your head, and decided not to question him.
"I know I shouldn't be doing this," He whispered, his hands not leaving yours. "Your hands needed to stay tied until we got to the safehouse, but you'll hurt your wrists that way."
He took your hands in his, and started to untie the rope that was keeping them together. His fingers carefully worked around your wrists, and only ever held them gently. Once the rope was off to the side, he set it off to the side and started to massage the bases of your hands, which calmed you down.
"You shouldn't sleep with your glasses on either," He said, taking one hand away from your wrist and moving them up to your glasses. He slid your glasses off the bridge of your nose, and set them down on a small table on his side of the mattress.
Well, someone's releasing their inner mother.
"Hoseok?"
"Yeah?" He asked, a pleasantly relaxed smile on his face.
"Thank you," you said, smiling back at him.
At that moment, the pillow between you didn't act as a border. You rested your head on the pillow in the middle, and watched Hoseok's face as he concentrated fully on massaging your wrists. The gentle intensity of his stare captivated you, there was something hidden deep behind it. You were truly enjoying his company.
Just then, you heard a large metal clank, like a door slamming shut. It was so loud that you unexpectedly jumped, and Hoseok let go of your hands. You looked around the room, trying to find where the noise came from. Your eyes widened at what you saw.
Jungkook!?
In his hands was a large, black assault rifle. Your hands went cold, and your heart rate sped up. It was all a trap. They brought you here to empty a load of bullets into you, then put you six feet under. You were sure of it.
I'm going to die here.
"Relax, he's not going to hurt you," Hoseok said, his calm voice drawing your attention away from Jungkook's gun. You felt a pair of strong arms wrap around your waist and pull you back down onto the mattress.
Your eyes didn't leave the gun as you were pulled back down to the bed. You felt one arm leave your waist, and the pillow between the two of you was thrown somewhere else in the room. The arms re-wrapped themselves around you, and pulled you in close.
I can't believe I trusted him.
"I promise that nothing is going to happen to you. You're safe with me," Hoseok said, whispering in your ear. There was almost nothing separating the two of you now. Your back was pressed tightly up against him.
You could feel the tears start to form in your eyes. You weren't about to cry. You didn't want to cry, not in front of Hoseok. You didn't want to appear weak to him.
"It's okay, (Y/N)," Hoseok whispered, turning you around so that you were chest-to-chest. "You've had a long day. If you need to cry, you can."
You did the only thing you had the strength do. You wrapped your arms around him and sobbed silently into his shoulder.
