Chapter 41 Mae's pov

After we got the bandit situation fixed, Frigga assured me that we could spend the night and next day there, probably knowing how much I missed Loki. It took a lot of convincing but I finally agreed. We spend most of the night walking and playing around in the garden, just Loki, Bucky and I.

The next day I was training with Sif in some different armor when the warrior 3 decided to say I couldn't take all 4 of them, laughing.

I stare at them with a blank look before waving at them to try me. They all laughed harder at that, but shut up when Loki and Thor both agreed. I was in the middle of kicking their asses when a loud roar of rage rang out through the palace and the training area we were in.

I knew immediately who it was, and flashed myself in front of Bucky and Loki, daggers still in my hands. I spread my wings to cover the 2 as Odin storms into the training area, Frigga running in a second after him.

"You!"" He yells pointing at me. He slammed his staff on the ground as armor appeared on him.

"You useless girl. You are nothing but a worthless experiment that I should have killed." He exclaims taking a step towards me, Einherjar forming a circle around the area. I look around and roll my eyes, already sick of him.

"Why? So the princes would be dead? So your villages could keep being attacked? So your Einherjar could fall in a useless war your blood hunger nobles wanted?" I ask, standing tall, still blocking my men with my wings.

"You are an abomination! You shouldn't even be alive!" He says taking another step towards me. I sigh before I slip into my honey tone, eyes turning lilac.

"Einherjar, Sit." I command loudly, making all of the warriors drop. He looks around, shocked, before glaring at me. Frigga tries to grab his hand, only for him to hit her, not realizing who it was. That was my breaking point.

I move too quickly for him to react, now standing in front of him with blazing red eyes. I kick Gungnir out of his hand, making it land a couple feet away as I bind his hands behind his back and forcing him to kneel.

I rush to Frigga and help her stand. I heal her bloody cheek, making sure Odin sees the mark he left on her. He then looks around at the people in the area, seeing all the confused faces of them, before landing on 3. They each hold a look of pure rage and murder on their faces, 2 of which are the men he raised. I lead Frigga to Loki, who takes her hand as she glares at her husband. I walk back to stand in front of Odin, who's glaring up at me.

"Do you wish to see why I am here Odin?" I ask, holding eye contact with him. He glares at me for another moment before looking around me at Frigga, who frowns at him. He catches my eyes again before reluctantly nodding. I nod once as Loki and Bucky step up beside me. I can see the weird looks I'm getting from the group of 4, as Thor glares at them.

I close my eyes and wrap my wings around Odin and I, since it's private. He looks around as my wings cocoon us in, unaware of what's going on. I can feel Loki and my left and Bucky on my right, guarding me. I open my eyes, still glowing red, and place my hands on Odin's temples.

"Are you prepared for what you're about to see?" I ask in my otherworldly voice. He nods once with a sharp inhale. I nod back as he closes his eyes, ready to watch.

I start playing my memories for him, starting with my back splitting open at the tower. Next was finding the boys overwhelmed by bandits, both princes injured. Then it was the war room, fixing the issue and helping bring peace back to the villages. After that was me shielding my men from this angry king. Lastly, was him striking his wife. 

He exhales heavily as I release his head and unwind my wings from around us. Loki and Bucky both kiss my temples before moving back to stand by Thor and Frigga. I stare at him, waiting for him to open his eyes. He finally looks up at me, regret clear on his face.

I unbind him and step to the side, motioning Frigga forward. She rushes to his side, grabbing his face in her hands with tears in her eyes. She gently strokes his cheek as he stares up at her, before kissing her palm.

"I tried to tell you my love." She says as she hugs him. I smile at her before moving to stand between Loki and Bucky.

"And so I see that now." He says as he picks up his staff.

"I believe I have made a mistake, or a couple. He is your soulmate then?" Odin asks, looking at me,

"Yes, Loki is one of mine." I say grabbing his hand.

"And the half metal midgardian is the other?" He says, eyeing Bucky. I growl and half step in front of Bucky, who puts a hand on my shoulder.

"Yes he is." I say with a glare.

"So I see." He says as he looks down at Frigga, who nods at him.

"And so it is. I accept this. Once Loki has proven his change, you will all be welcome on Asgard. So will your...hellhound?" He says more like a question, frowning at me. I smile and nod.

"Very well. Come my queen, we have much to address." Odin says, pulling Frigga closer to him. They turn and leave, as I release my hold on the warriors so they may do the same. I hug Loki after they all clear out, Bucky wrapping his arms around to embrace me from the back. They both lean down and kiss my hair before chuckling.

"You didn't tell us you were soulmates. Why?" Sif asks, the first to come out of their shock.

"And why was the Allfather like that? I've never seen him that angry before." She adds a moment later, the 3 making noises of agreement.

"I didn't see the importance of you knowing our personal relationships, and am still unclear on why you care." I say with a shrug as I pull Loki into a deep kiss. Gasps ring out as I let him go, getting a chuckle out of him, as I turn to face Bucky.

"He tried to control me, figured out he couldn't and got pissy. He'll be fine." I say before kissing Bucky, who had already leaned down. I pull away with a smile before I see a puff of black smoke a bit in front of us. I walk to it and put my hand into the black smoke.

It changes to a red hologram of Cerberus once it grabs a hold of my hand.

"Lucifer, you have to come back. Now."  Cerb says, his hologram reaching his other hand to grab my arm as well. More grasps ring out in the area as Loki and Bucky step up behind me, arms crossed over their chests. Cerb glances at them before returning his gaze to me.

"Thanos is here. He says..." Cerb hesitates, eyes flicking to Loki then back to me.

"He says Loki told him to attack while you weren't here." He says finally, eyes pleading with me. Everyone turns to look at Loki, except Bucky and I, to which he glares as he looks around. I stare at Cerberus is disbelief.

"What?" Was all I could manage to get out.
