Chapter 41

Sasuke activated his sharingan.

"No matter what darkness I may go through.......everything is worth it. Al I need right now is power.....and hatred.." Sasuke said. He threw Naruto off of the statue, kicking him down with his new speed. Naruto got out of the water.

"Don't you consider me... your comrade any longer?! Don't all thse things and memories we did together in team 7 mean anything to you!?" Naruto yelled.

"............no. It wasn't meaningless. To Akiko and you.......you became my closest friend..." He said.

"We've become.... friends...? Then why!"

"All the more reasons why.......I should take you down." Sasuke said.

"....I don't understand anything but, I know you want to fight me with everything you got.. fine. Sasuke!" Naruto charged at where Sasuke was as so did Sasuke. The two dodged each other's attacks, flinging back.

"I've already said this earlier but... In truth, you were waiting for this also right? Right now, Kakashi and Sakura aren't here to distract us. I doubt that Akiko can stop us. So there's nobody here to stop us like last time."

"You.....!"

"I will take you down!" Sasuke threw a kunai at Naruto who deflected it with a shuriken. Sasuke jumped up.

"Chidori!" The large spark of lighting appearing.

"you idiot....I'll bring you back! No matter what! Shadow clone jutsu!" Naruto yelled. A rasengan appearing in his hands. The clone fling Naruto towards Sasuke as the both ran towards each other. They hit as the impact made the water blow, both unfazed.

"Naruto!" She was just standing there mindlessly. She didn't know what to do. Naruto drowned under the water as she dived in and picked him up, standing on water. Sasuke looked at Naruto who was in Akiko's hands.

"I will kill him and go headfirst..." He said.

There's no more mistake about this.........Naruto thought.

You really.......intended to kill me, Sasuke.

Naruto got up. Sasuke's curse mark began to spread. He smirked.

"Did you know, Naruto.....Top class ninjas should be able to understand each other simply by an exchange of fists. Even without saying anything.....You're naive, Naruto. Were you really able to read......What was inside the heart of mine!" He yelled and made hand signs.

"Fire Style: Fire phoenix Flower!" Naruto dodged as Sasuke ran towards him, kicking him in the face. Sasuke had a smug look on him.

Sasuke.......At first I was happy that you were alone. I wanted to approach you....but...The continuous attacks from Sasuke kept on going as Naruto took it.

I couldn't......you were always good at everything....and Everyone praised you....You had someone already too. Akiko...Because we were so different, I didn't want to admit it....so I called you my rival....I didn't want to lose. Even when we were in team 7, I still felt like that. What I really wanted......was to become like you.

"I really want to fight you."

I was happy that you said that. You finally acknowledged me... Sasuke held Naruto by one hand and his Chidori in another. Akiko looked at the two. Naruto's orange chakra began to pour out.

"It's too late now! Naruto!" Blood poured out into the water as Akiko ran over and took the hit. She didn't want this to go any further. She had to stop it. The lightning stung her heart that got hit.

"AKIKO!" Naruto yelled. She clenched her jaw.

"Why......Why! Come back to the village!" She yelled at Sasuke who's eyes widened. He lifted her up and threw her across water.

"I have told you plenty of times. Don't get in the way." He said coldly.

"This is only a fight between me and Naruto." Sasuke looked at the horrified Naruto who's red chakra bubbled.

"You...." The red chakra burst out, leaving large ripples of water. Akiko looked at the two painfully. This wasn't what she wanted, this wasn't what anybody wanted. She looked up at the dark grey clouds as her chest began to regenerate. Sasuke jumped back as his eyes widened in shock, he could see the Nine tail's figure. Naruto looked up at him, his own ruby eyes shining.

"How dare you......" He growled.

"I will stop you Sasuke! Even if I have to break every bone in my body! I will have you come back!" Naruto yelled. (Listen to the music while reading please, I don't wanna cry alone :'D) Light blinded where Naruto was. Naruto punched the air, puncturing it as it hit Sasuke. The wind blew loudly as Naruto punch Sasuke once more. Flinging him up to the air then punching him back down, drowning Sasuke in the water. The two began their fight on water.

"Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu!" Sasuke yelled but Naruto was not damaged by this justu. The water shook, mini tsunamis rippling. Akiko eyes began to blur. Sasuke swam upwards as he jumped up. So did Naruto who caught him and flung him towards the rocks as it broke, dust flying everywhere.

"Come one! Wake up already!" He looked at the twitching Sasuke.

"Shut up....! What the heck do you, who has neither parents nor brothers, think you understand? What make you think that you, who's been all alone from the start, can understand anything about me!?" He yelled at Naruto.

"It's because I have ties that gives me agony.....How could you possibly understand....What it feels like to lose it all!" He yelled, a paper bomb setting off as the both jumped, landing on the water.

"It's true that I can't understand....However, there are people that I care deeply about in that village. Iruka Sensei.....Akiko......Konohamaru.....Sakura.....and you..." Naruto said.

"I wonder....if having a family feels something like that.." He said and looked at Sasuke.

"Why is it Naruto.....Why is it that you go to this extent for me?" Sasuke asked.

"For me, it's a tie I never had!" He yelled.

"You were just like me!" Naruto smiled.

"That's why.....I'm gonna stop you." Sasuke took out his Konoha head band and wore it.

"It's too late, Naruto....It's already too late. I can't go back anymore." He said.

"Come on Naruto! In that case I will cut that tie!" Sasuke yelled at Naruto.

"Cut huh....then why wear your headband..?"

"Heh, it's because I acknowledge you. You're someone who know the pain of solitude as I do. And that pain makes people stronger!" Sasuke said.

"I'm done with talking, now it's only fighting." He yelled. Naruto came at him, attacking while Sasuke dodged his moves and jumped up. Naruto's fast movements and Sasuke's now 3-tomoe Sharingan. Being able to see what he couldn't see before he dodged Naruto's fast attacks. The two continued the fight. He punched Naruto in the face as Naruto splashed into the water.

"I never wanted to fight you Sasuke...." Akiko said. She attacked Sasuke who blocked her attacks as Naruto's Shadow clones shot up, attacking him.

"SASUKE!" Naruto yelled from under him. Naruto made a trail of Shadow clones, flinging him towards the cliff.

"Fire style: Dragon flame Jutsu!" The jutsu came towards Akiko and Naruto.

"Sasu....ke" Sasuke picked Naruto up by his shirt.

"It's too late now you guys......It's too late!" He flung Naruto off, jumping off with him as Naruto's head hit the bottom, now, drifting away.......

"Dad...." Akiko muttered. She cried as her white chakra bubbled. Orange chakra immediately surrounded Naruto. The orange chakra picked Naruto up. Naruto opened his eyes as he punched Sasuke in the face. Naruto yelled as his red chakra now took form. Naruto swung his hands. A giant wave hitted Sasuke as he humped back. Naruto smacked him. Sasuke landed a few meters away. Akiko floated towards Naruto. Ghost-like, her white chakra bubbling more and more as she cried. Her tear stained face looked at Sasuke who's eyes widened.

"Now I understand!" Naruto and Akiko ran towards Sasuke as He spitted out fire balls. The smoke coming out.

"Fireball Jutsu!" Sasuke yelled but was deflected as Akiko deflected it with her rinnegan. They stood there in the large smoke. Naruto struck him with his chakra hands. He threw Sasuke towards the cliff. Akiko threw mini tailed beast bombs as it created a huge impact. All Sasuke could do now was dodge their attacks. He was flunged towards the rock, making a huge hole. The curse mark now spreaded his whole body.

"Damn it...give me a break. But it can't be helped." Sasuke said as the curse mark now covered his whole body, making him demon like. He had wings behind his back as the power of the curse mark circulated his body. Akiko pulled him in as Naruto struch him. The wings protected Sasuke as it flung Naruto and Akiko to the other side.

"Sasuke......you.." Naruto said. Akiko's chakra bubbled more.

"Did you know....that this place is called the Final Valley? I think this is the perfect stage, don't you two think?...Well then, lets wrap it up." He said.

"Chidori!"

"...Rasengan!" The two came at each other, creating a huge impact. The impact blew the two away as Akiko caught Naruto.

"I suppose reality is cruel." She said and smiled painfully.

Sasuke stared at the two as the last bit of sunshine lasted on Naruto who was knocked out. Sasuke's headband fell on the floor. Akiko looked up at Sasuke who's curse mark retreated. He stared at her tear - stained face.

Sasuke pulled her up and pinned her against the wall. Akiko looked at him, but averted her eyes. Looking at him pained her heart. What felt like hours were seconds as Akiko and Sasuke stayed in silence. Akiko felt something touch her lips as she saw Sasuke's eye lids closed. Her long, white eyelashes fluttered as her stomach felt like something. Sasuke pulled away as he knocked the girl out. Akiko fell on his chest as he picked her up and placed her gently on the ground.

The rain now poured heavily as Akiko's white hair was spread out on the ground. A tear slithered down, camouflaging in the rain. Sasuke Uchiha has now left the village hidden in the Leaf......................
