Chapter 42

AKIKO POV

I opened my eyes slowly at the familiar background of the dimly lit infinite room. I looked around.

"This place is..." 

"Hey Hey Hey! Akiko-chan is awake!" I heard Shukaku's voice say. 

"Shukaku...?"  I said, looking around. And there around her stood Shukaku and the other tailed beasts. I then realized I was in my tailed beast form. 

"Wow. That was a good sleep." I said, yawning. The feathers scattered everywhere as I stretched.

"You have slept for two day already." Matatabi, the two tails said as her blue fire wavered. My eyes widened. 

"Two day?..

That's so short!" I said and began to sleep once more. I then realized something.

"U have something to show you guys!" I say and activate my rinnegan. The tailed beasts' eyes widened. 

"That eye...."

"The old man had it! Exciting right!" I said, getting hyped up. 

"Then will you train harder then anyone to be able to master it, do you want to?" Son Goku said. I thought for a while.

"Yea." I responded. 

"Great! Now.....your training will begin every night you sleep or whenever you sleep. We will all help you!" Kokuo said.

"Yea...I'll try. Tommorow." 

I smirked and floated upwards. The tailed beasts sighed as I once more, sunk into deep sleep once more.

I woke up once again. The sunlight peered through the opened window as the wind blew. I opened my eyes groggily once again. I sighed.

I have failed Sakura. I touched my lips. Sasuke had stolen my first kiss..... I looked around as I saw Naruto sitting up, holding Sasuke's Konoha headband. 

"Naruto...." I said, but looked away. The door opened.

"Oh what's this. You're both awake." Shikamaru said.

"Shikamaru!" I said, surprised. I opened myself to say something as Shikamaru cut me off.

"Before you say anything, everyone is alive and has more than enough chance of living." He said. I sigh of relief. 

"Then....Sasuke.."

"Yeah...He's gone." I said. I clutched my heart. It had already restored. 

"Though I'm surprised. Especially Akiko, you were supposed to be out cold for 5 days yet here you are, awaken in two days." Shikamaru said. I looked down. The door opened once more as it revealed Sakura and Tsunade.

"Old lady Tsunade.......Sakura...." I looked away. This is all my fault. I had the power to do so.....but I couldn't.... 

"I heard you two suffered quite a serious injury...But you all healed and look quiet good." Old Lady Tsunade said.

"I'm sorry........Sakura." Naruto said, looking down at Sasuke's headband. Sakura took quite an impact but smiled.

"Why do you apologize? You all tried your best, didn't you?" She said and walked over to the window. 

"Sakura........I..." Nothing came out of my mouth as I tried to talk to her. 

"That's enough, you two-"

"No, I will bring Sasuke back! And that's my ninja way!" Naruto said and laughed. I smiled.

"Am I able to go outside?" I asked Tsunade.

"Mm.... Yea, you're allowed to but come back before 7." She said and left. I shifted out of the hospital bed. 

"Sorry Sakura, I'm going out for a walk." I said and took my leave, walking around the village. 

"Hey hey hey!" I heard a familiar voice behind me say. 

"Nanako Sensei-!" I say but she tackled me into a hug.

"Oh my kawaii kouhai! How I missed you!" She said and hugged me harder.

"C-can't B-breathe!" 

"Oh sorry!" She let go. We walked towards the dango shop as I talked to her about what happened. 

"I see...." She was in deep thought as I looked at the sky. The sky was now a beautiful sunset.

"Say....How about you train with me. Like set out on a journey somewhere to train and come back. I can teach you all sortsa stuff!" Nanako said.

".....Ok sure." I say. There's nothing better to train right now with your sensei with a mind of a 2-year-old.

"Great! Meet me at the Konoha gate in 1 week!" Nanako Sensei said. I waved my goodbyes and set off, back to the hospital.

3rd POV

Akiko finished packing up as she walked around town, finding necessities. She packed her clothes, accessories, books, scrolls, ninja weapons, and seals so her chakra won't leak out. What else was there to need? (Ahem, in this anime world, girls don't get periods-) 

Dango was probably the reason that kept her alive. Though she couldn't die anyways as she was immortal. The word 'Sasuke' was now kind of a ....Taboo....  Now after hearing his name, she would just sulk. Having insomnia from 20 hours of sleep down to 3. Wow, she really can't sleep without her cushion. Even going down to 3 hours of sleep, no bags was shown under her eyes. She was just as elegant as ever. But now, she was going to get stronger. 

She honestly didn't know what laid for her. There could be war, deaths of her friends, death of Sasuke........ She touched her lips once more. It was soft. She blushed at the thought and shook it off. Maybe she could go get some mangas.

"Kemitsu no Yaiba....." She said and looked at the book. She flipped through a few pages and smiled. This was definitely the one. She payed for it and left. Her long, silky white hair flowed as her eyes glinted. She hovered her hands over her eyes, blocking the sun as she was a eagle fly over to the Hokage's tower. And now the time will finally pass since the author is too lazy to write the rest 😗✌

Akiko said her final goodbyes and finally set off for the new adventure that awaits her arrival. The rain began to fall as she exhaled into the dense air.
