Chapter 36: The Wedding Part 3-The Plan

Elizabeth's P.O.V.

     As soon as I saw Thanos, I knew I needed to cover up and lie my way out of this in order to prevent a terrible outcome.

"Thanos, it's not what it looks like, you see.." I said as he slapped me on my cheek knocking me over. I fell on the ground with a soft landing thanks to my big dress.

"Enough. You lied to me you bitch! You said you didn't care what happens to him. You said that you were only using him. You said that you only cared for me, but clearly it was the other way around. Elizabeth, I thought your parents taught you that love is weakness and will lead you to your downfall." Thanos said.

I looked at Loki and used my eyes to try and tell him to go, but he shook his head. I gave him a pleading look and then Thanos seemed to be catching on.

"I am sorry for what this may look like however it is in fact the opposite." I said trying to buy Loki time.

From the corner of my eye, I could see Loki was slowly trying to back away and escape through the door. I keep my eyes towards Thanos to try and stall for Loki.

"Is it now?" Thanos said.

"I know what I've said to you and it's all true. I mean look at my room can't you tell that it's been trashed. I've been running away from Loki chasing me in my room until he caught me. You see ever since you've put this magic restriction bracelet on me I cannot use my abilities like he can. He used dark magic to try and catch me and destroyed my room." I said bluffing.

"And you think I would buy that when I have cameras all over the castle and in this room? You selfish bitch. Why else would I come in here before the wedding?" Thanos said.

"To talk to me before we embark on a life changing journey?" I squeaked.

"No I'm here to rid the man who failed me all the way back in 2012. First he failed to bring me the Tesseract and take over Midgard, then he takes away my bride and wishes to keep her for himself when all he deserves is a slow and painful death. Which is what I'm going to do now." Thanos said.

Thanos turned around to where Loki was, but realized he was gone. Loki escaped through the door. Thanos storms to the door, but before he leaves he turns back and faces me.

"To make sure you don't try to help your boy toy I'm going to lock you in here." He said as he slammed the doors.

I heard a click and knew that I was locked in. I pray to the Norns that Loki will be all right. 

Loki's P.O.V.

     When Elizabeth was stalling for me I couldn't leave her to suffer Thanos' wrath alone. She tried to tell me to leave, but I refused to leave until she gave me her puppy dog eyes. I quietly snuck out the door and went to go find the Avengers for back up. I was running down the hall way in the opposite direction of Elizabeth's room.

"Anyone copy." I spoke into my communicator.

"Yeah Team Stark copies." Stark said.

"Steve and Thor copies." Steve said.

"Deadpool hears ya loud and clear." Wade said.

"Agent Barton and Romanov copy." Barton said.

"I found Elizabeth, however Thanos also found me with her and might be hunting us down so stay alert."

"Roger that." Barton said.

"I get it, Roger as in Steve Roger." Stark said laughing his head off.

"Can it Stark." Barton said.

"Sorry I had a few drinks before we left and brought some with me, anyone want some?" Stark said

"Moving on, we should all meet up and try and figure a way to get Elizabeth and leave this place." Steve said.

"Everyone meet where we started." Barton said.

I ran as fast as I could to where we got out of the portal, knowing that Thanos could be on my tail. After about five minutes of me weaving my way through the hallways, I found everyone.

"Hey, what took you so long reindeer games?" Stark said.

"I was on the other side of the castle." I replied.

"Fair point I suppose. So anyway, how are we gonna save Liz because I know for a fact our time is short due to a wedding that is about to start." Stark said.

"Well, I know for a fact that it will be easier to find Elizabeth when the wedding will start, but more difficult to get her out. Since Thanos saw Loki, he most likely will have more security" Natasha said.

"Also there will be witnesses at the wedding who will do whatever it takes to make sure the wedding stays on track." I said.

"Why should we be worried about the witnesses?" Barton asked.

"Well because of this wedding, some of the witnesses get something out of it. For example, Elizabeth's parents get immortality and their debt will be paid. Also some the witnesses are some of the most powerful people in the cosmos so we have to stay extra cautious." I said.

"Got it so don't piss off mommy and daddy, anything else." Wade said.

"Yeah here are some weapons I found in a room. They look like your Midgardian gun, so I assume you know how to use it." I said giving them the weird weapons that I found while I was looking for Elizabeth.

"Ok, so here's the plan. When the wedding starts we will wait until all the bridesmaids and groomsmen walk down the aisle then that leaves Elizabeth alone. Then right before they play the music that the indicates the bride to walk down the aisle we take her and run down a few hallways and create a portal to escape." Barton said.

"Great idea, however considering the fact that she has never escaped don't you think that she might be constricted of magic." Stark said.

"If the building constricted magic I would've been able to feel it as soon as we entered, however she could be wearing something that constricts her powers. She did have a bracelet, a tiara, and some other jewelry which could be causing it." I said.

"Wait describe the bracelet." Wade said.

"It was thin and was black and silver." I said not knowing how else to describe a bracelet that I only looked at for a minute.

"I know that bracelet. Elizabeth's parents used it as a training bracelet to help her control her abilities. They got rid of it when they discovered her dark abilities though because those couldn't be constricted by the bracelet. Her parents didn't want her to depend on her darker abilities because it creates dark energy which can cause a person to change completely. It takes a toll on everyone. Her mother, Eclipsa, is known for dark abilities because she is the Queen of Darkness. Eclipsa and Elizabeth have similar reactions to dark energy. Once they use enough dark energy, their arms start to form purple veins which later on turn black (look in picture above). They then change completely and lose everything from personality to looks. If she has that bracelet on for a long period of time she might change into what Thanos wants most." Wade said.

"What does he want from Elizabeth?" Natasha asked.

"He wants a Queen who will be feared by all and causes all the cosmos to fall into chaos and destruction until there is nothing that can prevent them and their children from ruling for eternity." Wade said.

"Oh, Yeah. That." Stark said.

"Wait, you knew about this the whole time and you haven't mentioned it to us once. What the hell is wrong with you Tony? This could be a suicide mission for all of us and your treating it like it's a joke." Natasha said.

"Liz only told two people about this and it is a family matter. I'm the only family member she looks up to. She was raised by villains, Gods, and monsters and out of those she decided to look up to her godfather who was a guy who flirted and slept with more girls than he can count, had a bad drinking habit, made weapons for a living that were later on sold to terrorist. She looked up to me because I had so many wrongs but in the end I made a right by saving people and becoming Iron man. I help guide her through the dark into the light while everyone in her whole life has only guided her down a darker path. I don't care if I'm the only one who actually bothers to try and save her, but she is the closest thing I'll ever have to a daughter." Stark said.

"Wait who was the other person in your story?" Thor asked.

"Does this really matter at the moment Thor?" I said rolling my eyes.

"Yes." Thor said.

"Thor, remember our last trip to Asgard?" I said.

"Yes." He said.

"Thor, remember what Odin and Mother were talking about with Elizabeth and me? Or the conversation you and I had after that?" I said.

"Yes.....Oh." He said after a minute.

"There you go you worthless oaf." I said. "Stark how much time do we have before the wedding?"

"We have about 20 Minutes." Stark said.

"Ok everyone let's get into position it's almost show time." Barton said.
