Chapter 1; Will We Ever Meet Again?

*BLEEP, BLEEP*

Jade's alarm constantly bleeped for half an hour before she decided to get out of bed.

"That, dream. It's constantly on my mind. What should i do?" Jade asked herself. So she picked up her mobile off the bed-side table and called her best friend Megan.

"Hello?" i answered

"Megan, it's Jade"

"Oh, hey, what's up?"

"I need to talk to you."

"Sounds serious, you alright, has something happened?" I asked

"Well, sort of. I keep having this dream and the same person keeps poping up in it and i can't quite put my finger on who it is, he looks familiar from my childhood, but i have no idea who it could be?" Jade explained.

" And you've only just strated having these dreams, and you're sure you may know the guy in the dreams?" i asked

"yeah, i'm sure his name's Jay or something like that?" 

"You seen him around lately?" i asked

" No, i haven't seen him for about 6 years." she replied."

"Well, i say we go boy hunting, seems you have a crush." i joked

"Not a bad idea actually, and i was going to ask you if you wanted to go out tonight, i need to take my mind off this dream, and this guy. Well, i think i do, and i think you could do with a good night out cause i know you're still down after just breaking up with Josh"

"Yeah, you're right, suppose i can't wallow in my self pity forever. And course you don't need to get your mind off him! Your obviously in love with this guy, so we're going to go out and track him down."

"Haha, yeah i had a huge crush on him when we were kids, and he was hot then, but what if i see him and he's more hot then he was back then, then what do i do?!" 

"You'll think of something, i mean you were my love doctor when we were kids. So, you'll know what to say, you don't need my advice on that cause i'm hopeless at that kind of stuff." i replied.

"True. Okay, suppose i feel a little less nervous now" 

"Good, so i'll meet you around 6pm?" i asked.

"Yeah, i'll come fetch you form yours so make sure you're ready, cause i know what you're like when getting ready!" Jade replied, almost yelling at me down the phone.

"Yes. I'll be ready!" i exclaimed.

"Good, see you later."

"Later" i replied as i hung up. 

 Jade, sat on her bed for a good 20minutes thinking back to her childhood days with her and Jay. Back in the day they were the best of friends. But, they slowly drifted apart when Jay and his family left the UK for a few years, and because they haven't had any contact for so many years. Jade began to wonder if they would recognise each other if they somewhat bumped into each other in the street. Or, at the club tonight..

6 O'Clock was gradually creeping upon us, when i heard a car horn outside my house. I looked out my bedroom window to see Jade's shiny green Beetle parked in my driveway. I saw her get out the car and she knocked the door and entered my home.

"You ready?" she called from the bottom of the stairs.

"Yeah, i'm on my way down" i replied as i walked down the stairs. "You ready to hopefully meet your kiddy crush?" i joked.

Jade glared at me for a while "Yes, Megan." she said seriously.

"Riiiiight.. So, we going then?"

"C'mon little'un" Jade replied as she playfully pushed me out the door. She walked past me as i locked the door and get in her car.

20 minutes later, we arrive at the club.

"Aqua, huh? Sounds fancy" 

"Yeah, i think they only built this club like 2 months ago" Jade replied.

"Ahh, that would explain why i've never heard of it before." i explained

"Yup, well come on, lets go get smashed!" Jade exclaimed 

We walked into the club and it was jam packed! Neither me or Jade could find an empty seat in the room. Luckily, there was another room on the other side. We went to the bar and ordered some drinks in before entering the other room. Which also looked cramped.

"Wow, isn't this cosy?" i joked. Jade laughed.

"Just a little. Oh hey look, i found 4 spare seats over there" Jade pointed out the seat and we quickly walked over there and sat down before anyone else had the chance.

Jade and I were having a good old chat, when suddenly she spaced out. I tried waving my hands and snapping my fingers in her face to get her attention but it was no use.

"Um, hello. Earth to Jade."

Still no reply.

"JADE!" i shouted

"What?! 

"Oh, finally! What up?" i asked

"What do you mean?" She asked looking over my shoulder at the guy she was just making eye contact with.

"Well, we were having a conversation when you zoned out, totally ignoring me.." i looked over in the direction Jade was, saw this guy Jade was looking at and gasped. "Oh, i see what this is. You like that guy over there don't you?"

"Huh? Guy? What guy?" 

"Don't play dumb Jade, you're totally checking him out, and you can't deny that."

This guy eventually noticed Jade was checking him out, and they exchanged a few looks before Jade replied.

"Okay, i'm checking him out, but come on have you seen him?! Jeeez, he's hot!" Jade exclaimed excitedly.

 "Oh yeah, i see him alright. Flat brown hair, green eyes..."

"What? No, your describing the wrong fella. I'm looking at his friend. You know, brown curly hair." Jade corrected me.

"OHH! My bad, but the one i was describing is well lush!" i exclaimed. "Should we go over there?"

"What? oh, no i couldn't." Jade said shyly.

"Hey, i'm supposed to be the shy one in this friendship, and i really wanna go over and introduce myself. Even though i might end up paralysed once i get over there cause when i first saw them i kinda died a little inside, seeing them up close might actually kill me fully.." i explained.

Jade thought about it for a while.

"Okay, let's do this!" She exclaimed.

We leaped up from our seats and slowly walked over to these two guys. The nerves weren't half kicking in now, just when i felt so confident about this, i fell back into my shy personality. Crap, they won't really like me now...

The guys saw us walking their way and before Jade could open her mouth to say something, they guy she liked spoke up first.

"Hi, you alright?"

"Um, yeah i'm great, you? Jade replied slowly.

"Yeah, i'm fine thanks, you um, wanna sit with us?"

"Really?" Jade replied excitedly.

"Sure, you're a pair of good looking girls and it would be nice to have some company, right Nath?" He asked his friend.

"Yeah, sure why not, the more the merior!" Said Nath as i saw him looking at me.

"So, you girls live around here?" the guy asked.

"Um, yeah we live like 20 minutes away from here" Jade replied.

"Cool"

"Hey, you know, seeing you up close, you look quite familiar. What's your name?" asked Jade.

"Jay" the guy replied.

Jade fell silent in astonishment. I looked at her as she sat there with her eyes wide open as she turned to me. I smiled at her.

"Oh. Awesome" Jade replied.

"So, i look familiar to you?" Jay asked

"Um. Yeah, you do. You look, very familiar, i'm sure i've seen you somewhere before?" she replied.

Jay took a good look at Jade.

"Youi know come to mention it, you look quite familiar too?" said Jay."I do?" She asked

"Yeah"

There was an awkward silence.

"Um, could you excuse us for a second?" said Jade nervously.

"Sure." Jay replied.

Jade tightly grabbed my arm and pulled me away from the guys.

"I saw that look in your face. It's him isn't it? That guy you keep telling me about from your childhood." i explained.

"I can't be any more certain it is now, i noticed him, and he's now noticed me. That definately says something. I must find out more about him! Oh my god, i'm so nervous, i have real bad butterflies! What should i do?!" Jade exclaimed nervously.

"Look, just stay calm, your a love doctor don't forget, you can work it out." i replied as i smiled as her.

Jade sighed.

"Yeah. Yeah you're right. i'm just gonna go over there, be cool and not freak out, and have a proper conversation with him. Just to be sire this is the right Jay, cause hearing him say his name made me realise that his voice actually isn't that different from when we were kids. It's all coming together!"

I patted her on the shoulder.

"Good luck with that then, i'm gonna talk to Nath, cause he seems nice." i replied smiling cheekily.

We walked back over to Jay and Nath, and sat back down.

"Sorry about that"

"Ah, no worries" Jay replied as he leant over the table and he was almost face to face with Jade. "So, i think you and I need to have a little chat, wouldn't you say?" Jay asked.

I heard Jade gulp, in a way this sounded good, but the way Jay came out with it. It actually sounded really bad. I began to worry for Jade, and she turned to me and she had the worst look of panic on her face i've ever seen! I hope this turned out positive. I kept my fingers crossed behind my back.

"Um, yeah. I suppose we do" Jade eventualy replied after a long silence.

"Maybe we should go somewhere quiet to discuess things." Jay replied.

"Yeah sure. Um, we could go to my place? Not being too forward or anything like that." Jade replied.

"Sure, sounds great." Jay replied "Nath, we better head off."

"Yeah sure mate, no problem." Nath replied.

"Well, i'm going with um.." He turned to Jade. "Sorry, i didn't get your name?"

"Jade"

Jay looked at Jade for a while, seems the name rung a few bells for him too.

"Jade" Jay said to Nath.

"Oh, okay then, well i'll see you later then."

"Megan, you staying here, or?" 

I looked at Nathan, as he looked at me and he nodded at me, giving the signal to stay." 

"Yeah, i'm good here" i replied as i smiled at her.

"Okay then." she replied. "Wait, how are you gonna get home?" she asked.

"Oh.. Umm.."

"Tell you what, you can drive right?" Jay asked Jade.

"Yeah."

"So, maybe you could drive me to your place." He turned to Nathan. "And you could drive Megan and yourself home later?"

"Sounds good to me" he replied as he looked back at me.

"Sorted then" said Jay.

"I'll see you later Meg." Jade said as her and Jay walked out the club.
