Ch.13: The Black Goddess of Yuei High

The next morning, right after sunrise, the kitchen of the dormitories is full of students. Tenya and Sato are responsible for the breakfast today, cooking delicious sweet pancakes. The smell is filling the ground floor, calling everyone to eat.

The teens are sitting on stools around the big counter. Katsuki is right on the edge of it, next to the entrance of the kitchen and the lift. A ding sound announced the arrival of the last one missing, Sisipho.

"Good morning, guys!" her happy self said loudly, waving to her classmates that wished her the same. "Morning, boo."

"Morning, babe." when Katsuki answered her in this sweet way and didn't complain when Sisi kissed him next to the lips, everyone entered in shock, the girls yelling in awe right next.

"WHAAAAAT?", "WHEN?", "HOW?", "WHY?" now Sisipho is flustered. She only wanted to show her first boyfriend some affection and did this naturally, not expecting this reaction.

"CALM THE FUCK DOWN, DID YOU NEVER SAW A COUPLE?!" yelled Katsuki with a big scowl, hugging the embarrassed girl closer to him, not wanting her to think that her attitude was wrong.

That's something he will always be attentive to from now on, after seeing yesterday how she got concerned that her different culture was offensive towards him.

"Now I see how down in the dumps I am... Katsuki Bakugou getting a girl before me!?!" Denki quoted, crying fat tears and being followed by Sero.

"TELL THAT AGAIN ON MY FACE, PIKACHU!" he tried to go for him, but Sisi hold him on the seat.

"Congratulations, Sisipho! We wish you both the best!" Momo said genuinely happy for her friend.

"What a taste..." Todoroki murmured, leaving to clean his dishes.

"Fucking rude, popsicle!" Sisipho looked disgusted at him but focused again on the others. "Sorry for the "surprise", guys. Kat asked me to be his girlfriend yesterday so... Only Mina and Kiri knew."

"Obviously we did, he needed to ask for our bless first." Eijirou said all proud and full of himself.

"When will you ask mine then, huh?" she grinned deviously and Katsuki followed, knowing where this is going.

"For what?" the redhead asked confused, but Mina already got it and walked away, all flushed.

"Her bless for you and Mina!" Katsuki laughed seeing the boy turning all red, and the others did laugh too.

"Oh my~! So many couples blossoming and it's only our first year!" Ochaco said in awe.

"You tell me, Ochaco, ribbit." Tsuyu poked the girl teasingly, who blushed hard and also ran away. "Oh well, this will be a long year, ribbit."

"Anyways, best wishes to y'all!" Jirou said eye smiling for her friend and everyone agreed.

"Whatever..." Katsuki said looking down at his plate, a shy pink blush on his cheek.

"He means thank you." she told them, dispersing the attention off of the boy.

Sisipho knows better that Katsuki is full of pride and thinks that showing his emotions to others is a weakness, so she just lets this end and decided to don't tease him.

The black girl wants to keep some things only between the couple. Not only to bring more intimacy and specialness to the moment but also to respect the way her boyfriend is.

Just like he respects hers.

Slowly everyone walked out to go to the class, some congratulating and others teasing the new couple. Katsuki and Sisipho were the last to go out of the dorm, holding hands and chatting.

"You sure like to get everyone's attention, huh?" he teased her, poking her waist.

"Sorry, I had no idea that it would create a fuss. I was just so happy in seeing my first boyfriend on our first day together!" smiling all flushed she kissed his cheek.

"We saw each other some hours ago, dumbass..." he blushed, scratching the back of his head and looking away, embarrassed with how cute this what she said is.

"Hmm... So you didn't miss me?!" Katsuki looked at her to see the plump lips forming an irresistible pout. He had no choice other than stop the walk to kiss his girlfriend, who melted right away.

"Of course I did, every fucking second, so shut up..." Sisipho giggled in satisfaction, slowly learning how to bend the boy on her will. "I'm happy too of being with you on our first day..."

Katsuki's grip on her hand got tighter and he lead the way to school.

All teachers are still focusing in prepare the students for the Provisional Hero License Exam, so it was a long and intense day at school.

Pretty much that's how their first-week dating went by, the only difference from before being the hugs and kisses between the teases, both more inseparable than ever, but also very focused on their biggest goal of the month.

The couple wants to also reach this achievement in their lives together.

The remaining days of training came and went and finally the big day of the Provisional Hero License Exam is here!

Class 1-A arrive at the exam site, Takoba National Stadium, and also did the others schools. A lot of chat and teasing happened between the students, but Katsuki is focused.

Not only on the exam, but in his gorgeous girlfriend that's full of determination, but also very nervous. From the dorms, in the bus, and until now, Sisipho didn't let go of his arms for anything, hugging it tightly and gripping his hand. She just needs some comfort and Katsuki is all on for it.

Inside the stadium, Yokumiru Mera of the Hero Public Safety Commission introduces himself sleepily as the one that'll be explaining the Provisional Hero License Exam.

Yokumiru tells the 1540 examinees that only 100 of them will participate in the actual Provisional Hero License Exam. So before the actual exam, they'll participate in one to determine the 100 better students of all.

In summary, it’s gonna be a jungle.

"My boo..." already in her costume, Sisipho hold her boyfriend's left hand between hers, playing with his fingers. "I know that from now on basically everyone by themselves, so I promise you to give my best for us to be at the exam together."

"Hey..." he whispered only for her, stepping closer and holding her face up to him. "I know you'll do it cuz you're fucking amazing. So don't worry, got it, doll?"

"I know you'll too, so try to keep focused and don't lose your mind, oki?!"

"Got it." leaning his brow over hers, Katsuki sighed, trying to relax a bit too.

When it was announced that the first exam is beginning, class 1-A automatically got together, trying to pass to the next phase.

This first exam is pretty simple: each examinee was given balls and targets. The targets need to be placed over their bodies, in visible regions. And with the balls they'll try to hit the targets from others examinees.

However, it seems like all schools are plotting a crush over the Yuei, together attacking at once and talking a lot about their exposed quirks on the Festival.

Walking to the front of her friends, Sisipho posed with authority and confidence, which makes Katsuki's heart go crazy. Crossing her arms with a disdainful smirk on her face, she laughed humorlessly to her opponents.

"And how do you plan to pass through me, cabbage?!" her sassy attitude got their eyes widen, all recognizing the winner of the Festival, who crushed everyone effortlessly.

"C-Cabbage?!" Yo Shindo was confused at first but got furious as he understood the reference. "HOW DARE YOU!?"

"Let me tell you exactly what'll be happening now, cab boy. All of you will give me your spheres, step closer, and let me hit all your targets." the sweetness of her voice is also full of venom.

"NEVER! C'MON GUYS, ATTACK!"

"I wasn't questioning." with a serious and angered face, Sisipho extended her hand in their direction and everyone froze up.

Sisipho motioned her hand and their bodies floated high from the ground, the students yelling and complaining.

"Your spheres, please~!" with her gentle request, the balls came from her direction, accumulating around her. "Ow~ see? You guys just did as I said! So cool of you~!"

"THAT'S NOT FAIR!"

"THE WORLD ISN'T FAIR EITHER, CRYBABY!" in one movement of her hand, Sisipho sent hers and the other's spheres and hit every single target, eliminating all of them at once.

"First examinee passed, ninety-nine positions left."

"YAY~! I was the first!" Sisipho celebrated by jumping up high. "Good luck guys, I trust you in this!"

Wishing the best of luck to their friends, Sisi ran to kiss her boyfriend on the lips before going to the waiting room.

"This was fucking hot." he whispered in her ear, sending shivers down her body. Not knowing what to say she just ran away.

"This was so badass!" Jirou yelled

"That is our Bonbon! Let's do the same guys!" Kirishima hyped.

"Those losers won't be the only ones trying to team up against ups, we need to be careful!" Denki commented.

With this, some of the class 1-A decided to continue together, some alone and others in smaller groups, like Katsuki, Denki, and Kirishima for example.

In the waiting room, Sisipho was feasting on the sweet's table, humming in pleasure with the delicious pastries.

"How are you seeing?" a tall and big guy asked her, his eyes devouring her curvy body from up to down.

"Are you always this rude?" she scoffed, not liking his vibe.

"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean it, really. I just got curious... I'm Inasa Yoarashi, nice to meet you, Sisipho Ashido."

"So you know my name?" she turned to him fully, still eating some sweets, noticing his eyes scanning her again.

"Who doesn't know? You're the gorgeous girl that crushed all Yuei in one day. And just now eliminated 300 examinees at once. Kinda unforgettable." the last part sounded so flirty that Sisi felt uncomfortable.

"Oh, it was that much?! Oops~" she said shrugging.

"Sorry for earlier, I'm just curious to understand more about you."

"So you can use against me later?!" she asked suspiciously.

"No, never! I-I'm just truly interested in you..." oh no, he's blushing.

"Ahmn... Well, let's just say that I don't need my eyes to see."

"Wow... Can you explain more?"

"Actually no, I'm good with only that." she told him firmly, wanting to let it clear to him that the talk is over to her. But it seems like he didn't get it, since he stepped closer.

"Ahmn, doesn't need to be right now, we can talk more later, y'know? Maybe after the exam?" she has no idea why this guy is so over her, but she's tense. Sisi is accustomed to dirty looks and shit but never has some random got so invested to talk with her before.

But what fault did Inasa have if he fell for the charms of the black goddess of Yuei?!

"OI!" the loud voice coming from behind the boys got their attention and Sisipho didn't know if she feels relieved or scared for the boy's wellbeing. "Why the fuck are you so close to my girl?!"

Tensed, Inasa faced the blonde boy, who walked past him to Sisipho, hugging her waist possessively and kissing her temple.

"Your girl?!" he asked confused.

"Yeah, mine! And I don't like the way you're looking at her so fuck off!"

"Oh! I'm sorry, this is just a misunderstanding, I was just asking about her quirk, since she's the so know winner from Yuei."

"No shit, she's the best in that shitty school. We all know that, so what?"

"Nothing, I already had the answers I needed. Sorry for that." he said more for Sisipho than for the other, making a full bow to them and walking away embarrassed.

"By the gods, you made it!" hugging him tightly, Sisipho celebrated his success.

"What this shit wanted with you?" he was still pissed, remembering how the guy was towering over her and eyeing her body.

"Don't know, he's weird, trying to talk with everyone in the room and being cringe with his intense greetings." not wanting to infuriate him more, she let the other details to later.

"Don't like the way he was looking at you, fucking pervert..." he kissed her cheek and laid his head on her shoulder, breathing her sweet perfume.

"Uuuuh~ are you jealous?!" she teased.

"Shut up, witch..." they chuckled, enjoying each other's embrace.

Soon the rest of the squad came and they celebrated loudly their win. In minutes all class 1-A made it to the waiting room, proving that every one of them is digne of doing the real exam, all wanting the license to help people.

With that, 100 examinees in total have passed. Yokumiru Mera announces that the First Exam is over and instructs the examinees who did not pass to leave the premises.

However, when the man announced that the real exam will be conducting rescue maneuvers in saving citizens at the disaster site, Katsuki felt annoyed.

He hates to deal with people.

Katsuki only tolerates people in general and his social interactions are always rude and full of insults. Only one person has special treatment from him.

"My boo, you good?" the reason for his happiness asked with concern.

"I'm screwed in this one." he told only her, wanting to be honest with the girl.

"You don't think is possible to just... I don't know, pretend?"

"Ugh... I'll try."

"No, you will do it, Katsuki!" crossing her arms with a frown, she stepped in front of him. "I'm not accepting you losing this exam for such bullshit!"

"It's not bullshit for me, ok? I hate to deal with people!"

"Then why are you trying to be a hero?!"

"What else can I do? There's something in this world that doesn't involve people?"

"You could be a gravedigger." both snorted at this silly suggestion.

"There are people in this too, dumbass!"

"Yeah, but at least they're dead." she shrugged.

"Oh my..." he rolled eyes, facepalming. "That's not the point. I want to be a hero because I want to be the strongest, the number one, to beat some shit villains."

"Remember what I said to you before the end of the term practical test?" he nodded to her, recalling the advice about dealing with deku. "Same thing here. If you want to be a hero, you need to prove that you can deal with any situation that can come over you. So you don't need to like the people you're helping, only save and don't be rude."

"Ugh... Why are you always fucking right?!"

"Because I'm only stating something totally capable of you do. Katsuki, in all this time we know each other, the only person that can beat you and let you down, or make you lose, is you, yourself only. You are your biggest enemy."

Looking down at his feet, Katsuki let her words sink in. This is true, no one can beat him now and in this exam, the person who can impede his way to the license is only himself.

If he's able of being kind and loveable to Sisipho, that means he knows how to act right. Facing his girlfriend, he saw her reassuring smile and immediately gave in to the want to hug her closer.

"So be it! I'll be the gentlest hero in this fucking exam!" he voiced full of conviction.

sometimes i think that love is the only thing that is missing in bakugou's life at the manga/anime. no need to be a romantic one. it could be a pet, a person, a hobby, a friend... that way he surely would have more character development. buuuut as no one cares to nothing more than use him as comedy relief or focus in his anger to antagonize deku, here i am to give it all to my baby boo.

ANYWAYS, do u think he'll be true to his words in the exam? honest not even i know, let's see where the writing will take us shausuahsshhssee ya~!
