Ch.14: Gang Orca

The Second Exam of the Provisional Hero License Exam begins!

A rescue scenario is being broadcasted to the examinees: large-scale destruction of buildings has resulted in large numbers of victims.

The damage to the roads is severe and the emergency unit will be considered late. Until the emergency unit arrives, all rescue activities will be left to the Heroes and they must save every life they can.

The waiting room door opens up and the one hundred examinees rush out to the disaster site to carry out their rescue operations.

Since now is the perfect time to work as a team, the BakuSquad is back together again!

Sisipho is leading them and others examinees to where the victims are. Just now the black girl realized how perfect her quirk is for this type of situation.

Looking for her squad, she saw Denki, Kirishima, and Bakugou dealing with two injured victims.

"Bro, don't be so rude!" Kirishima scolded his friend.

"I'm not being rude! They aren't this hurt, only their arms, both can fucking walk-" his words died down in his mouth by seeing Sisipho get closer with a murderous aura around her, staring straight into his eyes.

She's clearly disappointed with him.

"Hi, gentlemen~! I'm sorry for my coworker's rudeness and nonsense. With my quirk, I can see that both of you have small injuries in your arms and nothing more. Can you please come with me to a safer place, I'll protect you both until there." she explained to them with a gentle smile and calm voice.

"I don't know if you're right about it, I can't walk, it hurts too much!!" one of them insisted.

"It's okay, don't worry. If you want, my strong reddish friend here can carry you. Deal?" agreeing with her, one got up and leaned on her arm, while Kirishima carried the other.

"Sisi..." Katsuki tried to talk with her, in vain.

"There's another victim a few meters ahead, you still can try to fulfill your word with them, Katsuki." she said with an almost visible pout on her face, giving her back to him.

"Fuck..." he groaned in frustration, recognizing that his mistake affected her.

Not wanting to see her disappointed eyes ever again, Katsuki moved to the next victim, that's a boy crying for his grandpa and seems very injured, mostly on the head.

"Oi brat, where are you hurt?" he asked crouching down to his level.

"All hurts, I want my grandpa!!" he cried loudly. Sighing in annoyance, Katsuki tried to see if he can move the boy somehow.

"Do you feel like bleeding somewhere besides your head?"

"No..."

"Great, I'm taking you from here." he said, carrying the boy in his arms, who started to cry louder. "OI, WHAT NOW?!"

"MY GRANDPA!! GRANDPAAA~!"

"I'LL SEARCH FOR HIM LATER, SHUT UP!"

"NO! NO! NO! I WANT HIM NOW! GRANDPA!!"

"UUGHHH!" he wants so badly to just drop him down, but looking ahead he saw Sisipho walking back and this not only calmed him but also give him an idea. "Oi brat, see that hero there?"

Searching with his eyes to where the other is pointing, the boy found the black hero with her all-white costume and nodded to Katsuki in understatement.

"She's the hero Darklight and she has a fucking radar in her brain, so she already located your grandpa and sent help to him, got it? So let's fucking go already."

"Really? You promise?!" Katsuki nodded, walking to the safe place, with the boy now quiet.

When both were almost there, the boy, who's a professional member of the Help Us Company, talked to him, since is a part of his job here to orientate and give advice to the examinees.

"You did good dealing with my tantrum, but I almost removed points of you because of your rudeness. Be warned, because you already lost a lot with my two colleagues earlier."

Optioning to say nothing, Katsuki only let the boy with the others and walked away. Now he has another reason to stay focused and stop acting like a brat, so he got back to action.

While he was with Sisipho helping another person, she smiled a bit seeing his effort in acting nice to the victim. However, a huge explosion was heard in the stadium, making everyone got alert.

A broadcast is given to the examinees; villains have appeared in the area and them, the Heroes, must suppress the attack as well as continue carrying out the rescue maneuvers.

"Hurry, we need to go, Sisi!" Katsuki grabbed her hand, trying to pull the girl with him.

"Wait, the victims!" she stopped, looking back in worry.

"What? Are you kidding? You alone can defeat all of the villains!!"

"And I alone am the only one who can save the victims quicker!" she said, pointing out the debris. "There's a lot of powerful heroes here, I'm more useful rescuing now. That's my priority, save lives."

Not understanding her reason completely, Katsuki only shook his head at her, running to the battlefield, where Todoroki and Inasa are already fighting against the "villain" Gang Orca and his sidekicks.

"Okay guys, no one will be able to get near to this area, I'm not letting them!! So only focus on the victims, please! We're almost there, only a little left!" Sisipho voiced loud enough to the others rescuing, all of them yelling in agreement.

Standing in a high amount of debris, Sisipho removed her blindfold, to focus more on keeping Gang Orca's sidekicks away. And do this is helping a lot with the management of her quirk and stamina.

"Are you good, Bonbon?" Sero got to her to ask, concerned about his friend.

"Tired, but fine. Since you're here, there are three more victims straight on my left. Can you go there please?"

"Got it! Anything, just call me. Don't push yourself a lot, got it?" he smiled, patting her head dearly.

All sidekicks who tried to get close are being thrown to the other side of the stadium, intentionally in a harsh way, so they pass out at the impact against the wall.

Suddenly a loud and piercing noise came right to Sisi's sensitive ears, being immensely intensified by her Perception. She covered her ears, crying out loud in pain. Sisipho never felt this amount of pressure in her head, not before... Tomura.

Looking back, Sisi saw Gang Orca fighting and using his quirk on the others, a paralyzing sound wave that was strong, even at this distance. And he just did it again, more and more times, sending the black girl to hell and back.

"Oh gods, my ears..." she fell on her knees, shaking in pain, feeling blood run down her face to her hands. Her eardrums are badly injured. "I'll fucking kill you, Orca!!"

Meanwhile, in the middle of the chaos, Yo Shindo is passed out due to Orca's attack. Inasa and Todoroki are arguing about their past with Endeavor. Also are Bakugou, doing the same with Midoriya. All of this while Gang Orca is beating them all.

Definitely not a good fight in an exam so important.

All of a sudden the "villain" is launched into the wall behind him and buried in it. He's in shock with all the power encasing him completely. Only because his head is outside that he's being able to see who is doing this.

The "heroes" stopped their wreckage, looking around to understand what was happening. They found a bloody Sisipho walking to her target with a murderous gaze, the upper part of her costume tinted in red.

She's ignoring them all, only seeing one person.

"Ashido?" Inasa asked in awe seeing her eyes finally, even though they were bleeding just like her ears and nose.

Her classmates are confused by seeing the black girl with this kind of expression. It's the first time since she has always been so joyful. However, when the screams coming now from Gang Orca filled the stadium, they realized.

Sisipho is mad.

"You annoying and loud fish! YOU BURST MY FUCKING EARDRUMS!" she yelled sending more essence into his brain, making her fingers and palm glow in gold. The villain's agonizing cries getting  louder.

"Holy fuck..." Katsuki is astonished, wishing to never piss her at this level himself, ever.

"She'll kill him! We need to stop this!" Todoroki said concerned.

"She probably can kill everyone in this stadium if she wants, just with a snap." Inasa murmured, stunned by her power, not wanting to get involved at all.

"S-Shouldn't we do something now?!" Midoriya is scared of something bad happening for real with this incident.

Nevertheless, Gang Orca's screams stopped abruptly and his body fell limp on the floor with a loud thud. In the same instant, Sisipho fell to her knees, crying out in pain and trying to stop the unbearable buzz in her ears.

It feels like her brain is beating, harder than her heart, and this is unbearable.

While the others ran to check on the hero, that's just passed out, Katsuki got straight to her, hugging cautiously her trembling body closer, fearing to hurt her more.

"Sisi, what is wrong? Babe? Talk to me!" he asked over and over but she only cried, panting hard. Holding her face so she can look at him, he asked again but the girl only shook her head.

"I c-can hear nothing..." she's crying a lot, feeling dizzy and sick, the consequences of her serious injuries.

The other boys came closer to check on her and Katsuki told them how bad is the situation. Midoriya started to theorize which attack from Orca did such damage. Katsuki couldn't care less, just for being Orca's quirk the cause is enough to make him furious.

Meanwhile they're discussing, Sisipho was trying her best to keep conscious, but her body just couldn't handle the pain anymore and the girl passed out in her boyfriend's arms shortly.

Katsuki started to panic at the feeling of her limp body on his arms, triggering awful memories about the kidnapping. Is like the same nightmare all over again. Not giving a care about the exam anymore, he ran out of the arena, yelling for help and being followed by Midoriya.

Mr. Aizawa saw his distressed students from the bleachers and ran quickly to them.

"What exactly happened?" he tried to guess what she has just by seeing examining the unconscious and pale girl.

"Don't know, something from Orca fucked her eardrums!! This fucking asshole hurt her!" Katsuki is so furious.

"Hm, this isn't good... We need to take her to the hospital, right now!"

"But what about the exam? Will she fail?!" Midoriya asked worried about his friend.

As soon as he asked, Mera announces that all HUC members have been rescued and this officially brings the Provisional Hero License Exam to a close.

Relief runs through their hearts. Now only what counts to the results is what they did until that moment in the test. Not that any of the males are worried with this having a unconscious Sisipho not giving signs of getting better.

Wasting no time, Aizawa immediately notifies the staff from the commission about what happened and an ambulance on the local took Sisipho to the hospital.

A couple of hours have passed since the incident at the exam. Gang Orca is fine but definitely will be hunted by the black girl's attack for a long time.

Sisipho is in a surgery room with Recovery Girl and an Otolaryngologist since the moment they arrived at the hospital. The quick exam the specialist ran on her showed that her eardrums got completely destroyed by Orca's attack and that's why she had vertigo and lost consciousness.

Both doctors are giving their best so Sisipho can be healed completely, or the most possible. This amount of damage usually takes two months or more to heal, that is if a surgery isn't necessary.

At least Sisipho passed on the exam and her license is already in Mr. Aizawa's hands, brought to the hospital by All Might, after he left the others in the dormitories. He also took their bags to them.

Katsuki has his license in hands too. He's sadly looking down at it, sitting in the cold and white hallway of the hospital. Upset with what happened to his girlfriend, the blonde is blaming himself for it, even though nothing he could've done would change a thing.

But what if he had stayed with her? May her situation wouldn't be so bad? If he noticed before what Orca was doing to her, could him have lessened the consequences? He can only imagine now...

Talking about results, from Class 1-A, only Todoroki didn't make it, since he spent 90% of the exam fighting against another examinee; Inasa, who also failed.

"You did good today, Bakugou. Controlled very well your temperament." Aizawa complimented his student, who changed so much from day one. He's proud.

"Yeah, all credit to Sisipho. I learned a lot with her..." he answered quietly. "I'm not even surprised she did, her performance was impeccable, even tho she beat the shit out of that pro-hero..."

"That's the perk of working alongside different people, Bakugou. The creation, culture, and customs are always unique and distinct, so we'll be constantly learning new things. About Sisipho... Well, the Commission couldn't punish the hero for stopping the villain, right?!"

Katsuki didn't say anything more, questioning himself if he would've done so well without her support. By what Aizawa is sharing with him now, the blonde almost didn't make it in the exam, because he lost a lot of points due to his rudeness.

So probably without Sisi's help, he would have fail too.

"Hello, Mr. EraserHead?" the doctor came out from the small procedure room with Recovery Girl by their side. Both males stood up to talk with them. "The procedure was a success. Miss Ashido will be good in no time."

"Fucking finally." the blonde sighed in relief and his teacher slapped his head demanding better behavior.

"It was a bit complicated due to the injury being so several. We healed her the best we could and she will not need to do surgery in the future." Recovery Girl informed.

"However, since she suffered a similar attack not so long ago, for the next few days Ms. Ashido will still feel some symptoms like fever, vertigo, dizziness... It'll be essential for her to do absolute nothing that'll force her body, like abrupt movements of her head, for example."

"So she can't do any training this week?" Aizawa asked, writing down in his mind her new needs.

"It's for the best to not force her too much on the first few days, starting from her release. Only after that period she can return to doing things slowly. I'll make a document with all orientations for her and give a copy to you, Mr. Aizawa."

"Can I see her now then?" Katsuki is impatient with all this talk.

"Yes, you can, Bakugou. Even though she is still asleep. By the way, aren't her parents coming?" asked the oldest of them.

"Unfortunately her parents are out of the country, so I still need to notify them about what happened." Aizawa said, taking out his phone to do it.

"No, let me do this. I will rather be the one to tell Mandla." Katsuki interrupted him.

"Mandla? Do you mean Mrs. Amazon? Didn't know that was her name... You truly got closer to the Ashidos in your internship, Bakugou. First name bases?!" the teacher joked.

"I'm her fucking son-in-law, of course I am close to her." he said proudly, ignoring their surprised faces. "I'm going in."

With that, he just left the adults behind and walked inside the room.

  Sisipho is peacefully sleeping, her bloody costume long gone, now using a hospital gown and all freshen up. Katsuki put their things over a side table and searched his girlfriend's phone to do the call.

He smiled with a slight pink blush on his face by seeing her wallpaper: a picture they took on their first weekend together as a couple. Katsuki was feeling so happy in that days. Having her attention all for him and only him, all time. The blushing boy in the picture says all.

When he found the "Umama 💛" contact, the boy took a deep breath to calm down. The young couple planned on wait for her parents to come back to Japan to tell them about the change in their relationship. Katsuki wants to do things right and be respectful to both, asking for their blessing to be Sisipho's boyfriend. So now he's kinda nervous for have to talk with Mandla and pretend nothing of this is happening.

Katsuki fears doing something disrespectful toward the Mbeki Ashido family, like hurting their principles and culture. So he wants more than anything to assure Sisipho's parents that he respects and truly like Sisipho.

But before that, he needs to talk about her situation now.

"Intomba~!" Mandla said expectantly, her mind never leaving the girl, praying for the gods that she made it.

"Actually this is Bakugou, Mandla..." he said quietly, so the sleeping girl won't be disturbed.

"Oh, why are you calling me, Katsuki?!" now she sounds very concerned.

"Sisipho is good, just so you know." he chuckled a bit.

"By the gods, I almost had a stroke! So where is my sunshine?"

"Gosh, all moms are the same! Anyways... Mandla, Sisi is good now but at the exam, she got hurt and now we're in the hospital. Don't get nervous, she's fine!"

"Tell me all the details, right now!" so Katsuki did as the woman demanded, explaining everything the doctors said earlier. "Who did this to my intomba?"

"It was the pro-hero Gang Orca but I won't worry if I were you, before passing out Sisipho made sure of sending him to a hospital bed too. He'll be all fucked up for a long time." he told her humorously, which made Mandla relax a bit.

"That's my intomba~! Next time I see Orca he'll regret messing with my family. I'll not even try to imagine why he's involved in this or I'll just end up in the first fly to Japan to do him a not so nice visit! I'm so gonna hunt the Commission for this... But tell me, did you guys make it?"

"Yes, we did. Also the rest of the squad."

"Ow~ I'm so proud of you, my dearest kids are now licensed heroes! Y'all better thank the gods, because if you didn't I would so kill you six!!"

"Oi, but we did it! Stop threatening us, dammit!"

"Hmm, I'll think about it." she's so identical to Sisipho, even in her way of talking and teasing him. The girl really took everything after her mother. "Katsuki, I'm being called now. Sadly we can't return to Japan until next week, so..."

"Don't worry, I'll take care of Sisipho." his conviction is everything the woman needed to hear.

"I know you will, I don't have any doubts. You're a blessing in my intomba's life, Katsuki."

"I-I'm her friend, friends do that kinda shit." he's embarrassed by her words.

"Family do that, not friends. Thank you. Don't worry about calling Orion to warn him, I'll do it myself."

Saying their goodbyes, the call was finished.

Sighing, Katsuki feels like a weight was removed from his back. Again he sees himself in a hospital room, waiting for his girl to wake up. Putting a chair closer to the bed, he did the same as the other times...

Waited for his sleeping beauty to wake up.
