Chapter 26

Third Person's POV

No matter how much the raven haired Uchiha think of that time, the more he was frustrated about himself. He remembered that certain moment when he thought he was gonna die and all he thought was a single girl. He clutched his chest remembering the pain in his heart when he thought he was never gonna see her again.

He didn't know the reason why he felt that way, he doesn't even know the girl half as much as Naruto does but, he knew deep in his heart that he has feelings for her, although he's never gonna admit it. He was too prideful to confess his feelings.

But, his actions spoke otherwise. The moment they arrived back in Konoha although exhausted from the trip he quickly dashed towards the girl's apartment to meet her to find her gone. He roamed the whole village to find her nowhere.

Worn out and tired he made his way back to his apartment and quickly stood on his terrace waiting for the moment the lights in her apartment would go on. It was already dark and he was still waiting for her, excitement bubbling in his stomach to meet her again.

He saw the lights flickered on and a smile crept up to his face before he quickly masked it up with his usual poker face. But still, he can't help keeping the corner of his lips from twitching upwards.

He jumped to her balcony, only to hear glass shattering and his heart raced in anxiety. He hurriedly opened the glass doors, that was surprisingly unlocked.

'She's too clumsy...what if someone breaks in here?'

Well, he was talking about himself right now but, he disregarded that off and made his way from her bedroom to the dining area. He stopped when he saw broken shards scattered everywhere and in the middle of it sat the girl he was looking for the whole day staring back at him.

"Sasuke...?", her voice held surprise but, more than that he noticed her hand bleeding, small pieces of the broken mirror sticking out.

"Alexa!", he dashed towards her and kneeled on one leg, taking her injured hand on his, careful not to cause more pain. "You idiot, what were you doing?"

"...I'm fine...", she tried to pull her hand away and Sasuke held her hand firm.

"Like hell you are.", he was irritated at how she tries to refuse his help.

He held her on one of her shoulders and helped her towards one of the couch, where he let her sit. Sitting next to her, he raised her sleeves up to the back of her elbows and scrutinized his eyes on her wounds.

Just as he was about to start removing the broken pieces of the mirror, Lhexi beat him to it and pulled them out like air she didn't even winced. He blinked his eyes a little shocked when she began healing herself, her wounds closing up at a rapid pace.

He doesn't want to admit it but, it amazed him. She was always surprising him even from the first day they talked, her knowledge about Hatake Kakashi, her rumored splendid act during one of their missions, her crazy strength and now her medical ninjutsu. She's just like a book with endless pages making him get more curious about her.

The girl looked up at him and gave him a smile one that made his heart skip a beat.

"I've heard from Naruto about what happened."

"Hn."

"You seem like a different person today.", he smirked a little.

"Well, I've awakened my clan's dojutsu.", he wanted to amaze her even just a little. He wanted her appreciation and her attention, one that he used to long from his brother.

She blinked her eyes slightly amused. "Can you show me?"

He raised a brow. "Why? You think I'm lying?"

Lhexi quickly waved her hands. "That's not it. I'm just curious."

Sasuke shrugged. "Well, it can't be help."

He closed his eyes and Lhexi waited in anticipation. He opened his blazing red eyes with two tomoes on either side and watched the girl infront of him who's eyes were wide.

She leaned closer and Sasuke was stiffed on his position when the girl was just merely inches from his face.

"...beautiful...", his eyes widened. "They're beautiful...Sasuke..."

His heart began pounding fast, as heat rush to his cheeks. He stared at her and a certain word slipped from his mouth. Truth to be told, the one who was really beautiful was the girl right in front of him.

"Beautiful......", he quickly changed what he stated to a question. "Why would you call them that?", he scoffed but he can't help the fact that she took him by surprise.

Lhexi giggled. "Are you perhaps shy?"

Sasuke wished he's not red by now. "No."

Lhexi watched him deactivate his sharingan, slight jealousy in her heart. She haven't yet activated her dojutsu. "I'll have to clean the mess up."

Sasuke looked at her as she stand up and began picking the shards before placing it into an empty box.

"Why did you punch the mirror in the first place?", he asks.

Lhexi stopped for a moment before speaking. "I saw my reflection."

Sasuke creased his eyebrows in confusion. "What are you talking about?"

"Forget about it."

The Uchiha hummed unsatisfied but chose to remain silent, he doesn't want to pressure her. He looked around her apartment, it was surely one that of a high class. How does she even afford it by herself?

By the time Lhexi was finished cleaning, she threw something red heading towards the Uchiha who easily caught it. He stared at the ripe tomatoe first before taking a bite.

"Gomen. I don't have anything to offer for today. I forgot to buy some groceries."

"Hn.", Sasuke continued eating his favorite food.

Lhexi sat next to him turning the TV on. "Do you have a favorite channel?"

"Nothing in particular."

They both watched the boring show in silence. "Sasuke."

"What?"

"You know you broke in a girl's apartment right?"

Sasuke scoffed. "Yeah, a girl who can knock out an adult with one punch."

Lhexi giggled and hugged a white pillow to her chest.

"Can you stay with me for tonight?"

"What are you? A 7 year old kid?"

Lhexi leaned her head on top of the boy's shoulders. "Yup."

"I refuse. I have better things to do."

"Which is to stay with me..."

Sasuke wanted to banter for a little bit more just to find the girl already asleep.

'Jeez...'

He tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear and smiled at her angelic like face.

"I got it...loser..."

I sat on a red tiled roof swaying my legs, watching the scene unfold before my eyes.

"That hurt..."

"Konohamaru!", Naruto yelled worried.

Kankuro raised the boy up the ground by his collar. "That hurt, little punk!"

Konohamaru struggled to break free.

"Hey! Let go of him!"

Temari looked around anxiously. "Stop that. You'll get yelled at later."

"Let's play with them before the strict ones comes around.", Kankuro grinned.

"You jerk!", Naruto run forward only to trip on the invisible chakra strings.

I sighed first before making my way behind the two Sand Siblings, my back leaned against the wall. I masked my presence and watched in amusement as a single pebble, hurt Kankuro's hand, letting go of Konohamaru in the process.

"What are you doing in our village?", I heard Sasuke asked as he toss rocks on his hand.

Looks like things are going just like in the anime.

I scowled at the voice, my mood turning 180 degrees.

Shut up, Asuna.

I heard her giggle and I was relieved when she talked no more.

Honestly, this girl is super annoying and she freaks me out everytime, but I'm secretly happy inside now that I'm no longer alone. And what I mean by that is atleast I have someone who clearly knows my situation.

I watched Kankuro place down Crow on the ground ready to use it while Temari was panicking.

"Kankuro! Don't!", I felt bloodlust and I looked up to see the red haired, standing upside down on a tree.

Woah! He looks so cute! That's Gaara right?!

I deadpanned and just chose to ignore the voice in my head.

Kankuro and Temari was visbling shaking in fright. "G-Gaara..."

Damn...

'Can't you stay quiet?!'

Hey let me enjoy talking once in a while.

My eyes twitched in annoyance.

'..Alright...'

Before I knew Gaara already made his way on the ground. "I'm sorry for the trouble he caused...", his voice was cold, lacking a single ounce of warmth.

Sasuke jumped down. "It's alright, just make he sure this doesn't happen again.", he said with his arms crossed while observing Gaara.

I guess its time for my entrance. I clapped my hands the sound breaking the heavy tension. They all turned towards me, the sand siblings had their eyes wide opened in shock.

Tch. Pathetic. They didn't even sense us when we were this close. I was expecting more from Gaara.

I internally sigh before smiling at the three Sand Nins. I don't want Sakura to embarass herself.

"Aren't you too early for the Chunin exams?", I ask and they narrowed their eyes at me. "Well, I guess it can't be help. You must be excited to take your Village's pride."

Kankuro and Temari sweatdropped, nervous.

"Oh, and by the way, you with the hood, if you're here to improve diplomatic relationship, you better know that the boy you just hurt is our hokage's grandson."

Gaara glared at Kankuro and the puppet manipulator backed away his mouth agape before he look back at Konohamaru in shock.

Gaara closed his eyes first trying to calm himself from killing his brother. "We apologize, I hope you let this go because just like you said we trying to promote friendship between nations."

"I guess so. But it's not my descision", Gaara frowned, I tilted my body to the side to see the boy with the blue scarf. "What do you think, Konohamaru?"

His cheeks flushed as he look at me before grinning brightly, "Yeah! It's alright!"

I stood straight and smiled. "And there you have it."

The red haired nodded in agreement, Kankuro was sweating buckets and Temari was looking at me in disbelief.

Gaara was staring at me the whole time as they began walking forward.

"Wait, what's your name?", asks the curious Uchiha.

Didn't he heard it a while ago?

'Dunno, it's the anime plot.'

Heh!

"M-me?", Temari blushed and I was trying my best not to facepalm right now.

I mean Sasuke looks cute but, why do girls always react like this?

"No. The one with the gourd.", Gaara looked back at him.

"Gaara of the Sand."

Woah. I don't know but, I find his introduction cool.

'Yeah right.'

"Your name?", he asks back.

"Uchiha Sasuke.", the boy smirked in pride.

He then turned around before giving me a curious glance. "And you?"

I eye smiled. "Alexa.", their eyes widened.

"A-Alexa?!", Temari stuttered.

Do they know you?

'I'm not sure...'

"Yes, Takeda Alexa.", I continued.

"To think that we'll meet you so soon.", Kankuro grinned menacingly, his voice trembling a little bit. "...what luck..."

"What's happening, ttebayo?! Lhexi-chan, how do they know you?!", the blonde asked.

I shrugged also unaware.

Temari gripped her fan, her knuckles turning white. "Don't you know that you're quite famous?"

I narrowed my eyes before giving a blank look. "Oh really?"

Gaara continued trudging and he went pass me but not before giving me last one look as sand swiveled around him, bloodlust. "Let's go."

"R-right...", the two soon followed and I watch their back.

Sakura leaned against the wall so she won't fall down from the intense meeting. "Hah. How did you even maintained a calm expression while talking them?", she asks.

"That was nothing. Wait until you see them fight.", I answered and she visibly paled.

"Nee-chan! That was so cool!", yelled Konomaru.

"Yeah!", agreed Udon.

"Your name?!", asks Moegi in an excited manner.

My heart fluttered all of a sudden.

They're cute...

'Yeah. You're right...'

I wonder how they'll look in a month. I can't wait...

My heart dropped.

'Fuck off Asuna.'

Aye aye.

I crouched down their height before giving each of them a head pat.

"I'm Takeda Alexa, you can call me Lhexi.", their eyes shimmered in much delight. I turned to Konohamaru who's eyes were hearts.

"Hey! Why do we have different treatment?!", Sakura was fuming in anger. "We're both girls!"

Konohamru scoffed. "Heh! You're a vile woman!", I just sweatdropped when Sakura cracked her knuckles before whacking the poor boy on the head.

"Lhexi-neechan! It hurts!", he anime cry as a big bump appeared.

I pat his head softly. "Yosh. Yosh. It's gonna be alright."

"Stop acting! You brat!", Sakura yelled.

"By the way, Lhexi-chan since when did you arrive?", I turned to Naruto.

"I've been here the whole time.", I said.

"How? I didn't even notice you.", Sasuke asks.

I stood up.

"I'm good at concealing my presence.", I stated in as a matter of fact tone.

"Konohamaru, what do you think. Should I also join this Chunin Exam thing?"

Sigh. Why would he ask for an opinion from a brat?

"It's your choice! Boss!"

Sasuke was staring the whole time where the red haired and the rest walk through.

I stood infront of him. "What's the matter? Is there something bothering you?", I asked.

"Nothing.", he replied coldly before turning around.

"So, I guess this is it.", I stated looking at team 9.

Lee was shedding tears. "WAAHHH!!! WE'LL MISS YOU, LHEXI-SAN!"

Tenten patted his back. "Stop it, Lee. It's not like we're never gonna see her again."

"B-but!"

I gave a kind smile. "Tenten-san is right, we'll meet each other tomorrow."

Lee wiped his tears away. "W-what do you mean?"

"You see...", I brought out a paper from my pouch, presenting it to them. "I'll also be participating in the Chunin exam like you guys!", I grinned happily.

Their eyes widened.

"Aren't you still a rookie?", asks Neji.

I completed an S-rank mission as a fresh from graduate.

"That's right! You're too early for this!", Tenten exclaimed worriedly.

"I'm gonna be alright!", I waved them off.

"What about your team?", I turned to Guy-sensei who popped out of nowhere,

I turned to him. "Well, I already joined one. One member of their team was already promoted to Chunin so they asked to fill the empty spot."

He gave me a thumbs up. "I see! That's great to hear!"

"Guy-sensei! It's too soon for her! Are you not going to stop her?!"

I frowned at Tenten's outburst. Looks like she's not aware of my true capabilities.

"Tenten is right, Guy-sensei!", Lee joined in and Neji looked down.

"She's gonna be fine. Right? Lhexi?", I nodded.

"But! She always passes out in every training! How much more if she joins the Chunin exam. She won't be able to take it!"

My mood shut down as depression lines covered me.

"Stop it Tenten.", Neji warned.

"Neji! You too?!"

"Look.", he pointed at me.

"O-oh...Gomen gomen! Lhexi!", she scratched her neck. "I'm just worried."

I just nodded before turning my heels around leaving them with a gloomy atmosphere.

"Tenten...", Lee trailed off. "I think it's your fault."

"Huh?!"

"Yeah.", Neji agreed.

"You kids, don't blame, Tenten."

'Hey Asuna, do I really look that weak?'

You are.

"Thanks.", I muttered sarcastically.

No problem.

I'm Hyuuga Yuri!", she out stretched her hand out to me.

I grabbed her hand. "My name's Takeda Alexa. Nice to meet you, Yuri-san."

"No probs!"

She's too loud for a Hyuuga.

"But, you really do look cute just like what Itsu-! Mmpph!", I blinked my eyes as Itsuki covered Yuri's mouth.

I tilted my head to the side. "Yuri-san? Itsuki?"

You know he likes you. Stop acting dumb.

'Way to ruin the classic dense oc.'

"N-nothing!", Itsuki was panicking.

He took her somewhere out of my line of sight and I used that spare time to talk to the girl in my head.

'Hey, Asuna.'

What?

'About that chakra.'

You mean the Ryuugaime chakra?

'Yeah...'

'How could Inoichi not sense it?'

Sike. How could you not realize up until now?

'Tell me...'

It's that necklace you dumbass!

I immediately touched the tear like gem necklace, in between my collarbone.

'Huh? What do you mean?'

That old man, most probably placed a powerful seal on that necklace to protect you.

'Jiichan?'

'He was worried about me...?'

I suddenly missed them. Mom and grandpa.

Oh actually not you. But the people you would kill once your secret is out.

I chuckled at her.

But, I'll admit, he's good. Afterall, not even that Hiruzen sensed something was wrong. That seal is most probably a Kage-tier.

Now that I think about it, Asuna was right. The third hokage can pretty much detrmine anyone's identity just by their chakra.

'I guess I would have to thank him.'

What about me?

I blinked my eyes, not expecting her to ask me that question.

'What about you?'

Argh! This is so embarassing! Can't I even get a thanks for lending you my body and letting you wonder in this fictional world! And I controlled the memories that Inoichi can see! If it wasn't for me, you would have died already!

This idiot. I'm already aware of that. No one could have controlled my memories except for her.

'I see. Then arigatou, Asuna.'

Hmmph! You better be!

Well, I guess I should let her control this body once in a while as a gift.

My new teammates went back to me as they sweat furiously. I just smiled at them.

"Who's our teacher?", I asked.

"Well, actually its Aiko-sensei's husband, Genma-sensei."

"Oh. Really?", I asked surprised.

They both nodded.

"You both know which room we're going into tomorrow right? Just a reminder in case you forgot, it's room 301.", Yuri said.

I guess, Konoha would soon be crushed.

I stared at the 'thing' I had Tenten's father customized, lying on top of my bed.

'This should do it...', I thought.
