【Reasons why】

If Ema thought that slapping Y/N would cast some kind of dominance over her than that was a wrong assumption. The female didn't even give a second thought before slapping Ema across the face too. That slap put Ema in utter shock, she didn't expect Y/N to react in that manner. "Don't think that if you attack me then I'll just let you go with it... Our bond doesn't really matter in cases like that."

There was silence in air before Ema spoke up with teary eyes "I can clearly see that our bond doesn't matter to you. If it did then you wouldn't have done that to my father!!"

Y/N let out a chuckle which soon turned into laughter "Oh yeah? Do you even know the things your dear father has done to me? He deserves to die you know."

Ema shot a glare at Y/N and walked over to her father, kneeling down beside him and hovering her hand over his wounds. The female closed her eyes and focused which generated green light from her palm which seemed to be healing the injured man.

"Devil fruit?" Y/N mumbled as she looked at Mavericks wounds getting healed. "You know, your father really deserves to die. Seeing a scum like him just boils my bloo-" She stopped and looked at Luffy with the corner of her eye who was ready to attack her "Gumo Gumo..."

"ROCKET!!"

Y/N had already noticed his attack few seconds prior to he even executed it. She swiftly titled her head, avoiding Luffy's attack leaving the young boy in a slight disbelief. A smile formed on her lips as she approached Luffy in a split second "What was that for?" She asked and she could feel a cold metal and sharp metal touch her neck. "So everyone's against me?"

"Maybe if you give us an explanation then we might not consider you a threat." Zoro stated.

"I was just taking down my enemy and if you side with him then I won't hesitate to fight you guys too."

"You know how worried Ema was?! How do you expect her to react after she saw you beating her father up?" Luffy questioned.

"She is naive... She is living in the illusion that her father created for her."

"My father didn't create any sort of illusion for me!! How can you be so ungrateful for everything he did for you?!" Ema shouted.

Y/N sighed as she pushed down Zoro's sword and turned around to face Ema. "Tell me what did he do for me?"

"He- He helped you escape from the kingdom and live your dream!!"

"And how old was I?"

"Nine"

Her answer was followed by a silence as everyone processed the single piece of information they just recieved. "There's no way a nine year old could survive in the grand line alone." Sanji stated.

"EXACTLY!! That motherfucker let me go to the sea alone!!"

"But weren't you the one who insisted on going?!" Ema mentioned.

"Are you trying to cover up for him?! Yes! Yes I insisted but I was a god damn kid!! I fucking almost died if it weren't for Shanks who saved me and gave me a space on his ship!!"

"You killed his brother."

Y/N was at a loss of words. She clenched her fist and tried to control herself from hitting Ema once again "Do you think I don't feel bad about that?! HE WAS MY FATHER!!! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND OR SOMETHING?!"

Sanji placed a hand on her shoulder and whispered "Calm down, I am sure she doesn't know what she is saying."

"You fucking don't know anything about what I went through and how that man had a hand in ruining everything. You had a safe place on this island, you have no idea how cruel the world out there is!"

"Y/N, can you explain everything to us? We only have random bits of information that don't connect to eachother in any manner." Sanji stated and Y/N agreed. "Sure! After he left me out in the sea, I was caught up in a storm and then I passed out. The next thing I remember I was on Shank's ship. He took me in as an apprentice and stayed with him for six years before leaving to start my own pirate crew."

A bright smile appeared on the teen's face after she finally saw an Island. It had been a week since she left Red-hair pirates to start her own journey and now she could finally recruit some crewmates. If she wanted she could've stayed with Red-hair pirates and become their crewmember officially but that wasn't her style. She wanted to make a name for herself on her own before she met her dad.

The island seemed like a normal town but their wasn't any hustle and bustle. She docked her small boat and stepped on the island.

"Ugh! This poster always shows up where ever I go." She sighed and tore down the poster that was on the wall. It was her own bounty poster with a bounty of 100 million that she gained after taking down two pirates with high bounties and Shanks influence also played a role in giving her a high bounty like that.

After taking care of the poster she went through many shops but was surprised find no one in any of them. "Why isn't anyone here? This doesn't look like an abandoned island." She mumbled as she walked around the town and that's when she finally saw a kid but the kid looked panicked and was running towards her with tears in his eyes.

She grew worried for him and stopped him from running further "What happened?" She asked.

"Did you escape from the pirates too??? We should run away quickly!!"

His words confused her "What pirates? I just came here from far away and I don't see anyone around."

"Everyone is being held captive by the pirates!! They came her few days ago and caused trouble for everyone!! They even killed few of them!!"

Her eyes widened at the statement and it grew a fire inside her to save the citizens"Can you show me the way?"

"What are you going to do?"

She smiled at the kid and ruffled his hair "Kill them."

The marines pinned Y/N down on the ground and put cuffs made out of sea prism stone around her wrist. Her eyes glared at the citizens who were saved by her and yet they called the marines to take her and on top of that it wasn't some ordinary marine. It was a vice admiral's fleet.

'I am never helping anyone in this damn world!' She thought as blood dropped from the corner of her mouth. She had no way out and also had no idea what was going to happen.

"Look up" A man commanded. She slowed looked up and saw a tall and muscular old man who had his arms crossed and was wearing a dog mask. He sat down to save her the trouble of looking all the way up and breaking her neck.

"I heard you were with Red-hair pirates. Tell me where they are and I'll set you free."

"Sir Garp! That isn't how you deal with pirates!" One of his subordinates stated and Grap laughed it out. "What's her bounty?"

"She's Y/N with a bounty of 100 million berries."

Garp was quite impressed with the bounty number "You might've achieved some great feats to have a bounty like that. So... Tell me where Red-haired Shanks is and you'll get your freedom."

"I am not telling you."

Garp laughed loudly "I kind of expected that answer. You don't like someone who would sell her friends off for selfish needs. Well, I have another offer for you!"

"What is it?"

"You would make a great marine you know. Quit being a pirate and become a marine! Your skills are magnificent. You took down a whole crew by yourself and even put a nice fight against some of my subordinates. Talent like yours will be really beneficial for us!"

"I don't want to be a marine!"

"Oh! So you would prefer to die? You know once we take you to the headquarters, we never know what might happen to you. You might be kept in a jail for years and years or maybe even killed. The jail cells are dark and horrific. I hear there were some ghosts spotted over there few days ago." Garp hugged himself and shivered "Just imagining about it gives me chills."

Y/N looked at him unamused and annoyed expressions "You are just saying that to scare me right?"

Garp was a bit embarassed that his words didn't work on her. He faked a cough and avoided eye contact with the teen "So you want to die?"

"I would rather die than become a marine!"
