"So, what do you say? Still don't want to become a Marine?" Garp asked while the girl standing next to him sweat dropped after witnessing the dreadful sight of Impel Down. Her legs trembled as she took her steps back. "Do you want to live here for the rest of your life?" He questioned again and Y/N was quick to give her response "No!"

"Don't think of me as someone evil. I don't want a young girl like you to be stuck here forever or worse die. You have a long life, ahead of you. I just want to allow you to explore the other side of the world. I'll ensure that your transition from pirate to marine is approved." Garp explained and rubbed her head, "Cheer up. Fighting for justice is not that bad, you know."

5 years laterAge - 20

"Rear Admiral, Y/N! Please come on the stage" Her name was called out by the Fleet Admiral. A cold stare and aura radiated from the female as she walked past the other marines who would bow down to her, showing their respect to their superior. She walked all the way up to the stage and gave Sengoku a slight bow before turning towards the audience.

"Keeping the last mission Y/N carried, she ensured not to let any of her subordinates die during the missions and successfully captured a pirate worth 890 million berries. L/N F/N!! Her might is worth giving her a promotion. Y/N! She no longer remains the Rear Admiral and is promoted to Vice Admiral, making her the youngest Vice Admiral in the navy!"

Everyone cheered, but this joyful moment wasn't joyful for Y/N. She gave everyone a bow and walked away from the stage before having to say some words about her promotion. Everyone was a little taken aback by her behavior, but there wasn't anything they could do. She had always been like that.

No one except Garp and Sengoku was aware of the fact that the pirate that was captured and executed was her own father. Tears rolled down her cheek, and yet she didn't say a single word. She had to make a difficult choice between relations and duty.

"Y/N, stop right there," Garp ordered, and the female halted. She turned around to face him. Standing at the opposite sides of the hallway, she let out a chuckle, "Our positions are the same now. So, I don't think I need to follow your orders anymore."

"I understand that, but there's something you need to know. Two members of CP9 were sent to the Nariko Kingdom."

Her eyes widened at the statement, and she started to panic a little. "What do you mean CP9 were sent to the Nariko Kingdom?! I am warning you, if the Fleet Admiral doesn't keep his promise, I'll fucking destroy the navy!"

Ever since she was a child, she always admired her father, so there was no way she would even imagine being the reason her father dies. She only executed that mission to save her mother and brother. It was saving two lives or one, and she chose two.

"Y/N I am sure Sengoku would never go back on his words. It must be the government!"

"So you mean... The CP9 is sent there to kill my family?"

"I am afraid that that's the case."

That statement was enough for her to lose her sanity. Even the navy's hero was afraid of what was going to happen next. He could see the lighting sparks slowly emitting from her body, and in a second she was gone.

"That kid!" Garp mumbled under his breath and ran over to Sengoku's office because that was exactly where she was heading towards. Y/N crushed the door that was stopping the path between her and the fleet admiral. "I don't think that's nice behavior towards your seniors," Sengoku stated, while Y/N glared at him and the admirals sitting in her office.

In a blink of an eye, she was all the way in front of Sengoku's desk, "What is CP9 doing at the Nariko Kingdom?? Didn't you promise you would save my family if I captured F/N?! Is the fleet admiral going back on his words?"

"This case is out of my hand Y/N. I can't do anything about it. But I can assure you that the orders weren't mine."

"Oh yeah?" She chuckled, "You and vice admiral Garp are the only ones aware of the reality. How the fuck did the CP9 get the information about my family?!"

"Someone informed the government personally. I, too, was shocked when that information came to me. It was a person named Maverick that informed the government about it."

"Maverick?"

"Yes."

"I'll kill that man and then destroy this stupid government! My mother and brother had nothing to do with my father!! The rules you create only suit you!" She shouted and disappeared in an instant.

"She is going to become a threat against us," Sengoku mentioned and looked towards the admirals. "Issue a wanted poster for her."

"And then I came back here, but it was too late. I had already lost my family. I knew that a fight against the government wasn't easy. Even if I went all the way out to fight them, I would probably lose the fight against the admirals. So I decided to gather some allies. And that's when I met you guys. My hatred towards the navy and the government was so strong that I killed every marine I encounter after that incident."

"If your hatred towards them is so strong, then why do you still have that long coat?" Zoro asked.

"I am still hanging onto it because I just want the normal public to lose their trust in the navy. The fake trust and liking they have built towards them... I want to break it. Imagine them seeing me, a navy officer, doing all sorts of bad stuff."

"You are lying!" Ema said.

"I don't think she is." Sanji stated, "Everything she said made sense. Her wanted poster is proof of that."

"Bu- But, my father would never do something like that. Father, tell me that whatever Y/N said is wrong." Ema sobbed. But the silence that Maverick presented was enough to conclude everything. Ema felt betrayed, guilt and every negative emotion that could exist in the world.

"He is such a bad person!" Luffy declared in his rather playful voice. Y/N looked at him and passed a closed eye smile to the captain "Don't you think you should reflect on your actions too?"

Luffy rubbed the back of his head and giggled sheepishly which made sigh. She knew that Luffy might not understand the whole picture and only knows that his judgment about Y/N was wrong. He extended his arm around Y/N's shoulder and pulled her closer "We are friends you know!"

"Yeah yeah whatever."

"I hate to say this but... I am sorry" Zoro stated as his cheeks turned a bit pink due to embarassment. The young swordsman did his best to avoid eye contact but Y/N wasn't someone who would let go of such a moment to waste.

"If you feel sorry just look at me and say it." She said slyly and tried to look at his face but he tried his best to prevent her from doing so.

"Y/N ain't I the best? I didn't turn my back against you~" Sanji mentioned and Y/N agreed with his words "Yup! You are the best Sanji!!"

Those words were everything that he wanted to hear and there he was again... Passing out because of her for the hundredth time. If anyone could make the young man die early then it would be Y/N.

While the straw hats had a wholesome moment with eachother, Ema healed her father enough to prevent him from dying and got up on her feet as she dashed towards Y/N and engulfed her in a deep hug. "Please forgive me... I am really sorry for everything I said. I don't hate you, I never will! So, please don't hate me."

Y/N sighed and broke the hug "It's fine. Well, if I was in your shoes I would've reacted the same way. It's natural that you guys reacted that way and I too was so blinded by my anger that the situation didn't get any better as we talked. You don't need to worry about me hating you or something because adding one more pain to my collection is no big deal."

Ema smacked Y/N's arm after hearing her last sentence "Stop with those depressing words!"

"I mean it's the truth tho-"

"Stop"

"But"

"No"

"I mean"

"Hush!"

"Ok"

As the two reconciled with eachother, the hustling sound from the bushes caught everyone's attention. Everyone got up their guard and waited to whatever there was behind the bush.

"Y/N!!!! HELPPPP!!" The crying voice was heard as a little reindeer appeared with wounds on his body and tears falling from his eyes.

"CHOPPER?!" Y/N along with the monster trio exclaimed as Chopper jumped and hugged Y/N. "Nami and Usopp are captured!"

Maverick just lying down there for the past few chapters like 🛌
