Amora

"Holy shit you do?" Carrie gasped, widening her eyes.

"I could have so told you that, way long ago!" She laughed, shaking her head and waving her hand.

"What! Why wouldn't you?"I groaned."You let me sit here completely clueless about my own emotions!" I exclaimed, throwing my hands up dramatically.

"That's way adorable, now we can go on double dates what do you think?" She hugged my shoulder, smiling wide.

"No we cannot! That dork has no idea I even like him" I sighed, turning away towards my locker.

"Ugh right. He is totally blind, his love is right here!" She motioned towards me, shaking her head disappointingly.

"Yeah alright Carrie" I rolled my eyes sarcastically, waving her off.

She shook her head, pushing at my arm before slowly cracking a small smile as she rested against the locker next to me, thinking too herself.

"What are you doing?" I laughed, watching her expression as she was deep in her own thoughts.

"Oh nothing.. hey- you think you can you meet me at the sandlot? Instead of.. us going together?" She slowly questioned.

"Why? Are you really going to be too busy smooching with yeah-yeah or something?" I mocked, titling my head slightly.

"No! I just.. have too do something. So yeah, will you?" She asked again, nudging my arm.

"Sure? You're acting really weird right now.. but sure" I nodded, squinting my eyes as I eyed her suspiciously.

"Good. Gotta go bye!" She exclaimed, waving at me before rushing off.

I perked up an eyebrow, watching her in confusion as she quickly walked away before shaking my head and shrugging.

——

I slowly walked onto the field, huffing as I continued to drag my feet behind me tiredly.

I looked up and around, immediately stopping and furrowing my eyebrows once I noticed the field was empty.

I sighed finally spotting Benny who batted by himself, throwing up the baseball and hitting it, jogging over to retrieve the ball before repeating.

I bit onto my cheek, titling my head before calling out. "Hey dork head!"

He immediately looked over, raising his eyebrows in surprise once he spotted me.

"Where the hell is everyone?" I questioned, slowly walking over.

"I don't know, the guys said they were coming but.. I guess not?" He explained, shrugging as he looked back to the field.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, slowly softening my face once thinking back to Carrie and her weird, suspiciousness.

"Oh that little sneak" I muttered, crossing my arms angrily.

"Huh?" He questioned, knitting his eyebrows in confusion.

"Nothing. Well.. I guess if no ones here. Might as well go home right?" I sighed, slowly turning around.

"Wait wait- hold on" he immediately called, grabbing onto my shoulder to stop me.

I turned around, knitting my eyebrows together in confusion as I looked at him, waiting for what he had to say.

He stared down at me before looking away and coughing. "You want to uh.. hang for a bit? I mean it's only 2 and.. I kinda don't really having anything to do now"

I stared at him, crossing my arms as I cracked a small smile.

"Your saying you want to hang out, instead of playing baseball? Are you feeling ok?" I questioned, titling my head curiously.

He rolled his eyes, shaking his head at my comment. "I'm fine.. so yeah?"

"Fine. I've got nothing to do anyways" I sighed, finally nodding.

——

"I can't believe Carrie! She completely tricked me!" I exclaimed, flailing my hands around as I bursted out.

Benny cracked a small smile as he continued to listen to my ridiculous ramble.

"Anyways" I huffed, finally stopping."Moral of the story here is to never listen to Carrie. Ever" I sighed, leaning back onto my seat.

"Sorry about the wait. Here's the.. club sandwich?" An older looking lady walked over, holding a plate.

I smiled and nodded, watching as she set down the plate in front of me.

She stood back up, slowly looking between Benny and I. "Oh my gosh are you two adorables on a date?"

Immediately I choked with Benny who smiled at my reaction, sliding over my cup closer towards me.

Finally I caught my breathe, shaking my head."No. We're siblings!" I exclaimed, motioning to the both of us.

Benny's face instantly fell, widening his eyes with the lady who was now the one too cough.

"Don't you see the canon resemblance?" I questioned, sarcastically smiling as I looked back to Benny.

I reached over placing my hands on his shoulder, squishing ourselves together as I flashed her a sweet smile.

The lady smiled, looking between the two of us. "Oh you two are just cutest things!" She gushed.

I smiled again sitting back as I watched her walk away, before looking over to see a very confused Benny.

"What was that!" He exclaimed, knitting his eyebrows together in confusion.

"Oh I was just joking. Your face was totally hilarious!" I laughed, waving him off.

"Siblings? We look nothing alike" he stated, shaking his head in disapproval.

"Eh.. we have the same color hair? Eye color? Though yours are way nicer" I sighed, shrugging slightly.

"Did you just.. compliment me? Are you sure you're ok?" He questioned, furrowing his eyebrows in shock.

"Oh shut up. Besides.. you're actually not that bad to be around. I haven't called you not one name this whole time. That's quite saying a lot!" I exclaimed, smiling as I looked down to the plate in front of me.

"Ok now you're just freaking me out. You're never this nice" he insisted, looking at me with confusion.

"Geez, couldn't have just said thank you?" I questioned, tilting my head.

He rolled his eyes, slowly curling his lips into a smile. "Fine. Thanks"

I nodded in satisfaction before looking back down to my plate.

"So.. what now?" I questioned, slowly looking back up towards him.

"First, eat your food. Then.. I don't know?" He answered, lightly shrugging.

"Ok.. father" I mumbled, sighing as I pulled the plate closer towards me.

"Stop. Stop calling me that!" He exclaimed, throwing his hands up in frustration.

"Ugh.. fine" I frowned, beginning to pick up the sandwich from my plate.

——

"Ok.. and your favorite.. animal?"

I perked up my head, knitting my eyebrows in confusion.

"Benny what are these questions? They suck! I'm actually asking good one here's!" I exclaimed, pointing to myself.

"What do you mean.. I want to know what your favorite animal is?" He frowned, shrugging lightly.

"I don't even know! Oh yes I do it's a raccoon.. only because someone once told me I reminded them of one" I explained, shrugging as I looked down to the cup in my hand.

"A raccoon? That's boring" he laughed, shaking his head at my explanation.

"You're boring shut up" I groaned, waving him away.

"Ow.. I think I ate way too much ice cream" I suddenly groaned, patting my stomach lightly.

"Yeah that's because you filled your cup way too much" he laughed, motioning to the empty cup in my hand.

I sighed continuing to hold onto my stomach as I slowly approached the house.

"Yes! He's asleep!" I cheered, clapping my hands once seeing all of the windows were dark.

"It's either that. Or he's waiting for me in the dark... if that's the case, I'm so toast" I frowned, shaking my head.

"Anyways.. I hate too say it but..this wasn't as nearly despicable as I expected it to be" I admitted, huffing as I glanced down.

"Geez, that's harsh" he cracked a small smile, holding onto his chest.

"Oh shut up. I'm leaving" I pushed his arm before turning around and walking away.

I continued to walk up the steps, immediately stopping once he called out my name.

"What?" I questioned, whipping and furrowing my eyebrows in confusion.

He didn't reply, waving me too come back.

I groaned, throwing my head back in frustration, letting out a huff before walking back over.

"What?" I repeated, throwing my hands up as I stopped in front of him.

Again he didn't reply, slowly curling his lips up into a light smile as he looked down at me.

I titled my head, knitting my eyebrows together as I tried to read his expression.

Soon moments later he leaned over, placing a small kiss onto my cheek before cracking a small smile as he stepped back.

Immediately my eyes widened, being completely thrown off as I stared back at him in shock.

"I'll.. yeah see you" he immediately grew flustered, turning around and walking away.

I continued to watch him as he walked down the sidewalk, completely in shock at what just happened.

"Holy mother of fucking shit" I whispered, slowly peeling my eyes away from him.

"Oh I'm so freaking out right now" I continued, quickly turning around and running up to the house.
