Chapter 58 - 희생자 (HUI-SAENG-JA) [Underdog]

07:39, 7 November 2017

Roxi P.O.V

It's about time I had a day off. Weeks had passed and Namjoon and I's promotions have ended. Now the two of us have more freetime. I found it weird though, it's my week off but I still feel so drained. My dogs were huddling around me as I flipped through TV channels, a bored expression on my face.

'Maybe I should do some shopping.'

I shrug and put on an oversized pastel pink sweater, a white skirt, and some white vans. It was brighter than what I would usually wear but I was just going shopping wasn't I? I walked out the door to nearly bump chest to chest with the person infront of me. My black glasses slightly tilted with my sudden pause and I looked up to see Jin looking down at me in surprise. His ears suddenly turned red as he sheepishly rubbed his neck.

"Ah, sorry Roxi-ah!"he chuckled, slightly bowing his head."I didn't see you there."

"It's alright."I say awkwardly,"So where were you heading off to in such a rush?"

"I need to go grocery shopping today, the others are practicing or in studios. I just finished helping Jungkook out with some vocals and now he's just playing some Overwatch."Jin says, shaking his head."Those kids. How about you?"

"I was actually planning on going grocery shopping too."I say, pressing the ground floor button on the elevator.

We were silent for a few seconds before Jin spoke up with a shaky voice,"Do you...maybe...wanna go shopping with me?"

I smile and nod,"Sure, I'd love to."

He blushes a tint of red and smiles to himself, his hands being brough up to his chest to form two small claps. I giggle at his flusteredness, it wasn't a date or anything yet he seemed so pleased with himself. We exit the elevator and after exchanging a few words back and forth I finally let him drive in the company car.

"So Roxi-ah, how's work been?"

"Mmm, you know, same old basically. How about you Jin?"

"PD-nim is making us work even harder now that you and Namjoon finished promotions."he groaned,"Ah we barely have any rest anymore."

"Be careful he may have a mic in this car, you never know."I point out, laughing out loud when his eyes widen childishly and he starts to drum against the wheel.

"Really?! Ya! PD-nim, why are you making us work so hard?!"he called to the nonexistant mic with a joking laugh.

We parked infront of a supermarket and began buying some food together. He seemed very childish and random, but when he noticed he was gaining some attention he would stop what he was doing and begin looking at food labels nonchalantly. We quickly left before anyone realized who we were and hurried into the car. Jin and I laughed as we drove down the street.

"Even the little kids thought you were weird!"I laugh.

"You should've warned me that they were watching before I started stacking those apples!"he quipped, his face turning a bright red as his eyes disappeared into a smile.

Jin's smile seemed to light up the entire car. It nearly made me wonder why I didn't hangout with him often. That was when that drunken night started popping back up into my head. It was my fault we couldn't feel comfortable in the beginning. If I wasn't so naive none of this would've happened. Thankfully, Jin didn't notice my slight change in composure and helped bring in the bags of food up to our floor. I helped him put away the Bangtan groceries first before he came into my dorm to help with mine.

"Hmm, there's not enough food in here."Jin hummed, looking at the bottles of energy drinks and fruit smoothies."It's all drinks."

"Oh yeah..."I chuckle, placing the last bag of dog food in my pantry."My manager says it's easier to digest. She says I have to lose some weight for my next solo comback."

Jin looks at my figure up and down as I pick up some paper plates from the kitchen counter. I reached up to place them into a cabinet, but froze once I felt Jin's chest against my back. Out of the sudden straightforwardness of the situation my heart pounded in my chest, I bet he could feel it. I shakily placed the paper plates into the cabinet and closed it with a soft tap. Jin's hold didn't falter as I placed my hand on his arm that encircled my midsection.

"Jin?"

"You're perfect. No one should tell you to lose weight."he said into my neck."You're perfect beyond comparison."

My cheeks flushed red with his words, all of this is catching me so off guard that I nearly forgot to breath."Jin I-"

"Roxi-ah may I ask you a question?"

"Sure Jin."

Jin let go of me, allowing me to turn around and face him. His face was unreadable, maybe even a bit somber which was the exact opposite from when we were out and about. Yet once he saw me tilt my head in worry he sent me a heart stopping smile.

"You haven't called me 'Jin-oppa', this entire time. Why is that?"he asked.

My mouth gaped a bit and I was left speechless for a moment before I gained my courage to speak,"I guess, it's because you were acting like a child since I saw you today. It was really cute."

Jin looked at me up and down, this time in a more flirtatious way."Do you like cuteness?"

"I mean, I just thought it was funny watching you act like a maknae."I smile,"But if you don't like me calling you Jin-"

"If you feel comfortable then call me whenever you want."he says, a smirk plays on his face as he snakes an arm around my waist,"But to be all honest with you, I would love it if you could call me oppa."

With that he pulled me closer, his body pressed up against me once more."Roxi-ah, call me oppa one more time."

I've never really seen him this dominant before, I was so surprised nothing left my mouth. Jin paused and pulled away, seeing that I wasn't responding to him. He bent over a bit to meet my face, his worried gaze returning in a blink of an eye when he saw me flinch slightly at his closeness.

'All I can remember is that night.'

"Roxi-ah? Are you okay?"

I nod, realizing that I must've just made him more worried. Jin looks at me with a straight face, he rubbed his neck nervously once he realizes why I was acting strange and didn't hesitate to point it out.

"You remember that night huh?"he asks, I nodded."I'm sorry."

He placed a hand on my shoulder, this time I didn't flinch away from him and instead accepted his warmth. Jin gave me a soft smile and a soft squeeze to the shoulder.

"I know that I've been nothing but a burden to you, I just need to get my feelings out to you before I explode."Jin laughed dryly, his words nearly breaking my heart."I've seen how close you are with the others. It makes me happy, seeing them love someone so much. It's just...I share similar feelings to them, but knowing how close they are to you...I just didn't want to get in the way. So I tried my best to ignore my feelings for you, even after that night when you came to the dorms drunk. I tried my best to treat you like a sister. But it was so hard, it hurts me physically. I love you, I know that now Roxi-ah..."

He paused to craddle the side of my face into his left hand, his eyes slightly watery from the intense confession he was spewing."But to be honest Roxi-ah, if I could turn back time...I would've avoided kissing you. That way, I wouldn't be able to feel this much heartache."

Jin leaned in his lips directly in front of mine,"I caused myself to feel this way Roxi-ah...so I shouldn't do anything to you besides beg for your forgiveness."

With that Jin leaned in, his lips carassing mine softly as his arms pulled me closer. His roughness and quick movements of his lips were translated from his longing and hidden desires and I accepted all of it. I was one of the reasons why he was like this. So I slowly returned the kiss, much to his surprise. Yet he didn't stop, so neither did I. Jin lifted me up, placing me on the clear kitchen counter so I was level with him. It was giving me flashbacks to that night, the night where the two of us ran our hands through each other's hair. That night where he crawled his large hands across my back, only speaking through the movements of each other's lips. Our movements today mirrored those from months ago in this very room. Jin pulled away, catching his breath while watching me breath raggedly as well.

"Roxi-ah, I'm so sorry."Jin mumbled, pulling me closer to him."I'm so so sorry."

"I'm sorry for ignoring you...Jin-oppa."

Jin chuckles slightly his hands tugging the ends of my pink sweater."You know, this is the first time I've seen you wearing a shade of pink...I like it."

"T-Thanks."I stutter, trying my best to keep my cool in front of him."Jin-oppa, seriously. I'm sorry for everything. For the kiss, everything."

Jin shakes his head,"This moment just erased all of that."

He pulled me into another kiss, this time it was different. Instead of anger or regret this kiss was more gentle and loving. Jin tugged on my sweater once more, his hands crawling underneath the cloth as his kisses sped up. I straddled my legs around him while I still sat on the counter. It wasn't like I was going to go any futher than this. We were so caught up in the moment that I failed to realize the door open until it was too late. My eyes shoot open and I broke away from Jin.

"Yoongi-oppa..."

Jin turned to see the man standing there with something behind his back. I unwrapped my legs from around Jin's waist and his hands moved from underneath my top to his sides. As we pulled away Yoongi just stood there, his face blank while I tried my best to make eye contact with him. Instead of spouting a quirky remark he bowed his head and said the impossible in this situation.

"I apologize for interrupting."

And with that he left.

Placing the bouquet of red roses softly on the empty sidetable.
