Chapter 26

01:15, 9 August 2021

The teens huddled into the library along with Mr Harris until Jackson had realised that he was within the same distance as Scott and Stiles, "We can't be in detention together. I have a restraining order against these tools." Jackson said.

"All of these tools?" Harris asked and Stiles points to himself and Scott. "No, just us tools." He said and Harris nodded, "Fine, you two, over there. " He pointed to an empty table before turning to the blonde vampire, "Miss Guerrière, over there please." The man said pointing to another table causing the girl to shake her head.

"No thank you." She spoke up following Stiles.

"Miss Guerrière--"

"Yeah no thank you, if you wanna force me into this detention I'm going to sit where I want." The vampire told the man with a sarcastic smile, Mr Harris was about to scold the girl but he quickly tensed up when the vampire flashed her eyes at the man. She was very much aware of how the man knew about the supernatural and she very much used it to her advantage. The man gulped as the girl went to sit next to Stiles.

"Did you just flash your eyes at Mr Harris?" The teen werewolf asked the vampire, she just shrugged her shoulders before resting her head on Stiles' shoulder.

"Hey, what if it's Matt? I mean, this whole thing comes back to the video, right?" Stiles suggested after a couple of minutes. "Danny said that Matt was the one who found the two hours of footage missing." Scott said and Stiles nodded, "Exactly! He's trying to throw suspicion off himself."

"You're just saying that because you don't like him," Sage mumbled with her eyes closed, the human sighed as he threw his arm over her shoulder pulling her into him.

"So, he makes Jackson kill Isaac's dad, one of Argent's Hunters, and the mechanic working on your Jeep?" Scott asks looking at the two, he sent the human a sly smile.

"Yes!"

"Why?"

"Because he's evil." Sage giggled at the boy's words, she sat up pulling her notebook out her bag before she started doodling. Scott looked at the girl with furrowed eyebrows before he looked back at his bestfriend.

"Any other theories?" Scott asked.

Matt had looked over at Jackson who had put his hand on his head, gritting his teeth in pain. He raises his free hand toward Harris, "I need to use the bathroom."

"You all right?" The man asks as Jackson wipes at the sweat on his forehead before gets up, "You don't look so good." Harris says. "I just need some water." Mr Harris, looking at the boy concerned followed him out not before telling the rest of the teens not to leave their seats.

But of course, they all dispersed. The teen werewolf and his best friend rushed over to Erica's table but the blonde vampire didn't move an inch, she just kept drawing in her notebook.

"Stiles says you know how Jackson's parents died," Scott says as soon as he and Stiles sat down on Erica's table. "Maybe," Erica said shrugging.

"Talk."

"It was a car accident, my dad was the insurance investigator. Every time he sees Jackson drive by in his Porsche he makes some comment about the huge settlement he's getting when he's eighteen." She explains but Stiles stops her, "Hold on. Are you saying Jackson's not only rich, but he's going to get even richer at eighteen?"

"Yep."

"There's something so deeply wrong with that." Stiles says, "So is there something wrong with me being rich?" Sage said perching in the seat next to him, the boy's eyes widen as he stared at his soulmate while Erica shifted in her seat uncomfortably.

"W—what no of course not. You're a nice soul, Jackson is a dick." The vampire hummed and nodded as the three teens continued to watch as Erica look up things on her laptop. A second later, Victoria Argent was calling for Scott to come to the Principle's office.

"Why are you helping us?" Stiles asked the blonde werewolf, she side-eyed the vampire who was looking at her with raised eyebrows, Sage knew that the werewolf still had feelings for the human. Vampires weren't naturally territorial but Sage was, she didn't know if it was because of the bond but she didn't care, she didn't like other girls sniffing around Stiles and judging from the look on Erica's face. She knew that too.

"I-- uh, I guess. I guess I never got over my crush." The human stared wide-eyed at the blonde werewolf while Sage looked at her with a small smirk etched on to her lips with her eyebrows raised. She didn't know if Erica was brave or stupid, maybe a little both but she let it go. Because she knew that Stiles was hers and would always be hers.

After a while, Stiles looked over and noticed Erica was staring at her laptop screen, "Hold on, is that right?" Stiles asked as he pointed to something on the screen, the vampire turned the laptop towards her, at first she had no idea what she was looking for until her blue eyes caught something.

"Arrived at the hospital D.O.A. Estimated time of death 9:26 pm, June 14th 1995." She said making Erica and Stiles glance at each other, "Jackson's birthday is June 15th." Stiles admitted looking at the two blondes. But before they good mull over anything Mr Harris began packing away his things and so did the rest of the teens, but of course, Mr Harris always had something up his sleeve.

"Oh, no, I'm sorry. Uh, yes, I'm leaving. But none of you are. You may go when you're done with the re-shelving." He patted the cart filled with books. "Enjoy the rest of your evening." He walked out.

"Are you sure I can't snap his neck, I mean no one will really care if he went missing." The vampire muttered.

"As much as everyone would applaud you for that, don't." He chuckled when a small pout appeared on her lips. They both stood around as everyone went to do what the chemistry teacher had asked of them.

"You okay?" The buzz-cut human asked her, Sage frowned at the boy not knowing why he was asking.

"I'm fine, why?" Stiles just shook his head taking the girls arm pulling her towards the table they were sitting at first, he pointed to her notebook knowing that she was sketching in it once again. The vampire stared down at the page with wide eyes, the words 'stay out of my way' was written repeatedly all over the page but what really made the vampires eyes widen were that the words were all written in a pattern, the shape of a gun.

"Sage--"

"What is this?" Sage couldn't for the life of her remember the last time her breath was knocked out of her, the last time she looked at her drawings were when Lydia had shown them to her but none of them were like this, this was something else and she had no idea what it was.

"Hey, hey look at me." Stiles took the vampire's face into his hands, his eyes met her worried ones, he stroked her cheeks gently until she had calmed down. "Whatever this is, I swear we will figure it out. You know I will probably stay up all night and try and figure out what's going on with you and I will. I promise you, Sage." The blonde nodding, sighing softly before she closed her eyes for a second.

"Come on." They both moved over to Scott and Allison who were behind a bookshelf, Stiles had filled them in about Jackson's parents causing a look of surprise to appear on their faces. Sage was zoning in and out not really paying attention to the conversation, but the sudden sound of glass shattering caused her to stiffen.

"Erica!" Scott yelled, causing the blonde to let out a roar, Scott whirls around, eyes glows, teeth fanged and claws out, readying for anything. But soon the ceiling tiles began falling down and the blonde vampire reacted quickly pulling Stiles and Allison into her embrace.

The library goes quiet as the three began standing up, dusting themselves off as they look around.

However the sound of chalk screeching against the board caught their attention, there stood Jackson, half transformed, his head was turned to them but his gaze looked lost, but he continued to write on the chalkboard. He never once turned around to see what he was doing but he still kept it up, it was like someone was pulling the strings and Jackson had no control over his body.

As he finished off what he was writing the vampire and her soulmate both stood there breathless as the chalk dropped to the floor and Jackson leapt out of the library window. Everyone stared at the board mulling over the words on the board but Stiles just stared at the blonde vampire with a worried look in his eyes while the vampire was a second away from a panic attack as she read over the words;

"Stay out of my way. Or I'll kill all of you."

Stiles sighed out as he kept getting Sage's voicemail, the vampire had dashed out of the library as soon as she snapped out of her shocked state. Stiles barely had any time to call after her because Erica had started to have a seizure from the kanima venom so, he and Scott had to get her to Dereks.

That was over two hours ago and he hadn't heard anything from the blonde, but of course that didn't stop him.

The human pulled up to the vampire's house a couple minutes later and hurried out of his jeep. He didn't bother knocking on the vampire's door knowing she never locked it, no matter how many times he hounded her about it, the vampire simply told him that she would rip out any unwelcomed hearts.

"Sage!" Not hearing a response, Stiles rushed upstairs still yelling out the girls name. The boy could feel a panic attack creeping upon him as he came to an empty room. His hands ran over his head as he scanned her room not seeing any sign of her. He quickly pulled out his phone getting ready to call her again, he couldn't handle it if she had left, he knows he was thinking too far ahead but he couldn't help it.

"Stiles." Said boy snapped his head at the sound of his name, he let out a breath when he saw the blonde vampire standing by the door, he ignored the blood that was on her top as he pulled her into his arms. For the past two hours, the boy felt like there was a gaping hole in his body, having the love of his life back in his arms knowing she hadn't left him filled the whole again.

"Thank fuck your okay, Sage where were you? You-you can't just take off like that okay? I was worried." Sage couldn't meet the boy's eyes, she hated that she had worried him but she needed to get out of there, today she had realised that the drawings she had been doing ever since she stepped foot into Beacon Hills have been like premonitions and it scared her.

Not because she had them, but because she never remembered any of them until today and she had no idea what that meant.

"I'm sorry. I just had to get away for a little." Stiles stared at the girl noticing that she couldn't meet his eyes, he knew he had to bring it up because it was staring right at him.

"Sage, where did the blood come from?" The girl felt guilty, she didn't know how disappointed he would be in her but she didn't want to lie to him.

"I drank from someone."

"Sage—"

"I didn't kill him, I swear. I was in an emotional state and he was jogging through the woods and it just happened. I swear it didn't last long—I compelled him and gave him my blood and came home." She said in a rush, the moment she drank from the man she instantly felt sick- like she was betraying Stiles and she hated that.

Stiles stared at the girl before pulling her into a hug again, he believed every word that she was saying- and yeah he didn't like that she had drunk from someone but there was nothing he could do about it now.

"You wanna talk about what happened today?" Sage nodded at the boy, she began pulling off her jacket and boots, Stiles realising that the girl was getting undressed looked away with a slight blush on his cheeks. Yeah, he wanted more than anything to see the girl naked but now was not the time, so no matter how hard it was- emphasis on hard. He looked way.

"Stiles..." The human turned to look at her noticing she had thrown on a familiar t-shirt on that belonged to him but he didn't bring it up. The blonde got into bed leaving room for the human and soon after he had pulled off his jacket and kicked off his shoes, he had laid down beside her.

It was silent between the two but they didn't really care, it was peaceful as they both laid in each other's arms. But no matter how peaceful it was, they knew that had to talk about it soon.

"The other day Lydia showed me my drawings, I don't remember drawing any of them but I looked back at them after—after today." Stiles nodded softly at the girl gesturing for her to continue. "Yeah I didn't remember drawing them but when I looked back at the first drawing I realised that they had happened."

"What do you mean?"

"You remember when Derek got shot?" The boy nodded, "I drew a pile of ashes and a blue flower. I didn't think much of it but then I thought back to that day. The blue flower was the wolfsbane he was shot with and the pile of ashes was the powder that came out of the bullet when I broke it. That's why I knew what to do with it." The vampire admitted shakily, Stiles realised that she was right, that night she knew exactly how to save the werewolf even though she had no idea why.

"And that night when Peter locked us in the school, I drew windows- like the ones in that classroom. It was like I knew we were gonna be in that situation. All of the things I have drawn have happened, whether they happened two minutes, two hours or two days later- they still happened." Stiles was taking in everything the vampire was saying and she was right, but then something clicks in his brain as he sat up.

The blonde stared at him as she noticed the gears in his head began ticking, "What, what's wrong?"

"You told me that Royal's have gifts, like abilities right?"

"Yeah but-"

"You hadn't discovered yours yet, I don't know maybe when you met me and Lydia your powers started to come through because this is when you needed them," Stiles admitted, it was a plausible explanation but something still didn't add up.

"Yeah but that doesn't explain why I'm only knowing about his now, I've been connected to you both for months now." Stiles stared at the girl, letting out a huff realising she was right, he was about to give up until he realised the pattern.

"Our bond."

"What?"

"Our bond, when we both accepted it as a soulmate bond your powers basically grew, maybe your gift had nothing to do with your guardian bond but—"

"Our soulmate bond." Sage finished his sentence, it all made sense, when her bond with Stiles grew so did her premonitions. She had no idea what she should do with this information, she fiddled around with the necklace around her neck before she placed a gentle kiss to the corner of Stiles' mouth.

"What was that for?" The human asked in a soft voice looking down at the girl as a small smile painted her face.

"Just because." The boy let out a soft laugh before pulling her into his arms, he already knew he planned on staying the night so he didn't fight it when they both let sleep take over them.

They were so wrapped up in each other that they hadn't noticed the amethyst stone on the vampire's necklace began glowing.
