03:05, 16 March 2025You watch as Jungkook moves around your room, helping you take down your bed while you sip on your tea. The warmth of the drink soothes you, but your eyes stay locked on him—how effortlessly he lifts things, how focused he looks even with the simplest tasks.
"You know," you hum, blowing on your tea, "I could help, too."
Jungkook glances at you with a smirk. "You're helping by sitting there and looking cute."
You roll your eyes but smile anyway. "I mean it, though. I can still do stuff."
He shakes his head, finishing up before walking over to you, leaning down to steal a quick kiss. "I know you can, but I'd rather you relax. You're growing a whole human, remember?"
You sigh, leaning into his touch as he brushes a strand of hair behind your ear. "Fine. But only because you look really good doing all the work."
Jungkook laughs, shaking his head. "That's what I thought."
You sip your tea slowly, watching Jungkook as he effortlessly takes down the bed. The way his muscles flex with each movement, the slight furrow of concentration in his brows, and the way his lips part as he focuses—it's almost distracting.
Your eyes trail down to the way his shirt clings to him, slightly damp from the effort, sweat glistening on his skin. He looks ridiculously good like this, and you find yourself biting your lip.
Jungkook suddenly looks up, catching you staring. A knowing smirk tugs at his lips. "Enjoying the view?"
You roll your eyes, trying to play it off. "Just making sure you don't break anything."
He chuckles, shaking his head before leaning against the half-disassembled bedframe. "Uh-huh. Sure."
You take another sip of your tea, pretending to be unbothered. But the way he keeps smirking at you? Yeah, he knows exactly what he's doing to you.
You sigh, looking at the now-disassembled bed frame, wondering what to do with it. Jungkook wipes his forehead with the back of his hand, glancing at you.
"So... what's the plan for this?" he asks, nudging the headboard with his foot.
You shrug. "I have no idea. It's not like we need it for the new house, and I don't want to keep it in storage."
Jungkook hums, thinking for a moment. "We could donate it? Or sell it?"
You sigh dramatically. "Ugh, selling it sounds like effort. And donating means we have to find somewhere that takes it."
He chuckles, stepping closer and wrapping an arm around your waist. "Or... we could just leave it here and make it the new owner's problem."
You laugh, lightly smacking his chest. "That's evil."
Jungkook grins. "What? It adds character to the place."
Shaking your head, you glance at the bed frame again. "Maybe we should just ask Mina if she wants it. Or Hobi."
Jungkook groans. "Please don't make me carry this to someone else's house."
You smirk. "Guess we're donating it, then."
Jungkook sighs, clearly realizing he walked himself into that one. "Fine, but you owe me."
You raise a brow. "Oh? And what exactly do I owe you?"
His smirk turns mischievous as he leans in. "I'll let you know later."
You tilt your head, watching him. "Are you sure you don't want something to drink?" you ask again, but before you can say anything else, Jungkook tugs you closer.
Instead of answering, he leans in, capturing your lips in a long, slow kiss. His hands slide around your waist, pulling you against him as he deepens it, his warmth completely overwhelming you.
When he finally pulls away, his forehead rests against yours, his breath slightly uneven. A small smirk tugs at his lips.
"I changed my mind," he murmurs.
You blink up at him, still catching your breath. "About the drink?"
Jungkook chuckles softly, his thumb brushing against your lower lip. "No. About what I want."
Your heart skips a beat as you swallow. "And what do you want?"
His smirk grows, eyes dark with amusement. "Just you."
You let out a surprised gasp as Jungkook effortlessly lifts you into his arms, ignoring your protests.
"Jungkook! I can walk just fine—"
He only grins, adjusting his grip as he carries you downstairs with ease. "I know, but I like carrying you."
You roll your eyes, but a small smile tugs at your lips. "You're unbelievable."
Reaching the couch, he gently places you down, his hands lingering on your waist. "And yet, you still love me," he teases, winking.
You scoff, but the warmth in your chest betrays you. "Yeah, yeah. Now sit down before you find another excuse to act like my personal chauffeur."
Jungkook chuckles, plopping down next to you and immediately pulling you into his arms again. "Too late."
You sigh, leaning back into Jungkook's embrace. "I should probably start talking to people about selling this place," you murmur. "It's not like I'll have any use for it once we move."
Jungkook hums in thought, his fingers tracing gentle patterns on your arm. "Yeah, that makes sense. Do you already have someone in mind, or do you want me to help you find an agent?"
You shake your head. "I haven't thought that far yet. I just know I need to start the process soon."
Jungkook presses a soft kiss to your temple. "No rush. We'll figure it out together."
You smile, appreciating how effortlessly he includes himself in everything. "Thanks, Jungkook."
He grins. "Anything for my baby's mom."
You sigh, resting your hand on your stomach, and complain, "I'm only 16 weeks in, and I already feel huge."
Jungkook chuckles, sitting beside you and rubbing your belly gently. "You look beautiful," he reassures you. "And it's only gonna get bigger, so you better get used to it."
You groan dramatically, leaning against him. "Don't remind me..."
Jungkook leans in, his eyes alight with excitement, and asks, "Hey, Y/n, do you want to start shopping for the house today?"
You look up at him, surprised by his enthusiasm. "Shopping for the house?" you echo, a smile tugging at your lips despite your lingering fatigue.
He nods, his tone earnest. "Yeah, I was thinking we could pick out a few things—maybe some new decor or even furniture. I want to make sure we set up our new home just the way we both want it. Plus, it'll be fun planning this together."
You take a moment, glancing down at your growing belly and then back to Jungkook, who waits expectantly. "Well," you reply, "if we're going to make it perfect, I guess we should start now. But I might need a little extra energy to shop for things when I'm carrying all of this!"
Jungkook laughs softly and pulls you close, his hand gently rubbing your stomach. "Don't worry," he teases, "I'll carry you if you get too tired. Besides, I know exactly how you like things—clean lines, modern touches, a little bit of personality."
You smile, warmed by his confidence and care. "Alright, then. Let's do it. I can't wait to see what we come up with."
You watch as Jungkook, still damp from all the work he just put in helping in your bedroom, lets out a small laugh. With a teasing smile, you tell him, "Go take a shower and change first." You know he's been working hard, and he deserves a little freshening up before he joins you again.
He grins at your suggestion and nods, heading off toward the bathroom. As you settle back down, you feel a sense of relief and amusement—after a hectic morning, even these small moments of care and humor make everything feel a bit lighter.
You trudge through the mall alongside Jungkook, the day stretching on longer than you anticipated. Every store you pass seems to offer another piece of furniture, but your focus remains fixed on one thing—a new bed for your home. You feel the weight of the day in your feet, yet there's a spark of excitement in your chest.
The fluorescent lights of the mall reflect off your tired eyes as you wander into a furniture store. Rows of beds in various styles and sizes beckon you. Jungkook, ever the optimist, grins and nudges you playfully. "I think this one might be it," he says, patting a sleek, modern bed.
You pause, running your hand over the smooth surface of the display, imagining how it would feel to lie there after a long day—your body resting, the worries of the day melting away. Every option seems to carry its own promise of comfort, yet nothing quite feels right just yet.
As you both continue wandering, the conversation drifts from practical details like dimensions and materials to dreams of decorating the new space. Jungkook teases you about your love for minimalist design, while you recall how you envisioned the room in soft neutrals with a pop of color, courtesy of Mina's enthusiastic taste.
Despite the exhaustion, the day feels oddly uplifting. The idea of starting fresh in your new home, complete with a bed that's just perfect for you and the baby on the way, gives you hope. With every step, even though shopping feels long and tiring, you know it's a necessary part of building your future together.
You wander through the furniture store, your eyes scanning the sleek, modern pieces until one item catches your attention—a new vanity. As you approach, you notice how the overhead lights cast a warm, inviting glow over its smooth surface. The gentle illumination highlights the elegant curves and intricate details of the vanity, making it look almost ethereal in its beauty. You run your hand along the polished finish, imagining how perfectly it would fit in your new space—a quiet sanctuary that reflects both modernity and a soft, welcoming charm. For a moment, the ambient light and the serene design draw you in, filling you with the promise of new beginnings in your beautifully curated home.
Jungkook looks over at you and asks, "Do you want it?" You nod quickly, excitement lighting up your eyes. Eager to learn more, you call over a friendly sales associate. "Could you tell me the price on this vanity? And do you have any other, maybe even bigger models?" you ask. The associate smiles and hurries over, ready to help. As you listen to her explain the details, you picture the vanity perfectly complementing your new home—its modern design and soft glowing lights creating a warm, inviting atmosphere in your space.
After leaving the furniture store with your hearts a little lighter and a few new pieces in hand, you and Jungkook step into a charming baby clothing store. The space is bright and playful—walls painted in soft pastels and racks filled with tiny, adorable outfits. As you walk in, the scent of fresh linen and a hint of baby powder mingle in the air, immediately evoking visions of your little one wrapped in cute garments.
Jungkook smiles as he sees you light up at the sight of the colorful collections. "Look at these, Y/n," he says, his voice tinged with excitement as he picks up a miniature onesie adorned with cheerful prints. You nod enthusiastically, already imagining the baby in these outfits.
The store's friendly ambiance and the neatly arranged displays make it hard not to get swept up in the excitement. You both wander down the aisles, occasionally stopping to examine a particularly cute outfit or to compare sizes and styles. Jungkook teases you gently, "I think we should let you choose first—after all, you know what style you like."
You laugh, admitting that even with all the planning and dreams about decorating your new home, these little moments of baby shopping bring you genuine joy. As you browse, you chat about which pieces might suit the nursery's modern, neutral vibe you're aiming for, and which ones might add a splash of color, just like Mina always suggested.
You watch as Jungkook wanders over to a display of baby accessories and picks up a tiny pair of boxing gloves. His eyes light up and a soft smile spreads across his face as he holds them delicately, as if they're a precious memento. You can almost hear him cooing under his breath, "Imagine if our little one loves boxing just like I do."
For a moment, time seems to slow as you see him envisioning a future where your child steps into the ring, perhaps following in his footsteps. The miniature gloves, so small and adorable, carry a big promise—a playful hope that the passion you both share might be passed on.
Jungkook tucks the gloves gently back onto the display and turns to you, his gaze warm and thoughtful. "What do you think?" he asks quietly, as if sharing a secret dream.
You smile, touched by the tender moment. "I think it's perfect," you reply, feeling both the joy and the gravity of the future you're building together.
You watch as Jungkook repeatedly picks up the tiny boxing gloves, his eyes lingering on them as if contemplating whether your future little one might one day step into the ring like him. Every time he lifts them, you can sense that mixture of hope and hesitation in his gaze, and while it's endearing, your cart is already overflowing with all the baby essentials.
With a playful roll of your eyes, you decide to take matters into your own hands. You pick up the miniature gloves and, with a small laugh, tuck them into your now-full cart of baby things. "There," you say softly, a teasing smile on your lips. "If our baby wants to box someday, at least we'll be ready."
Jungkook grins at you, clearly delighted by your lighthearted take on the situation. The cart now holds a quirky blend of adorable baby outfits, soft toys, and that pair of boxing gloves—a humorous nod to his passion and a reminder of the future you're building together.
In that moment, as you both share a quiet laugh amidst the bustle of the store, you feel a surge of hope. Every item in that cart, no matter how unexpected, represents a step toward the new chapter of your life—a future filled with love, laughter, and the occasional playful dream.
You sit in a quiet café, the soft murmur of conversation and clinking cups serving as a gentle backdrop while you scroll through furniture stores on your phone. The ambient light from the large windows casts a warm glow over your table, and your thoughts drift to the new house—the fresh start you're building together.
As you sift through images of modern sofas, minimalist coffee tables, and sleek, neutral-toned beds, you mentally arrange and rearrange ideas in your head. You picture a living room with clean white walls, a touch of grey in the furnishings, and just a hint of color—a nod to Mina's playful taste—scattered in the form of vibrant throw pillows or art. The possibilities seem endless, and each new piece you discover feels like a step toward creating that perfect sanctuary for you, Jungkook, and the baby.
Your eyes linger on a particular modern standing mirror with soft, glowing lights, and you imagine how it would brighten a bedroom. Every scroll is a mix of excitement and the weight of the decisions ahead, but in this quiet moment, you allow yourself to dream, planning out a space that feels both elegant and warm.
Despite the overwhelming task of furnishing an entire home, you find solace in these small moments of inspiration—each picture a glimpse into the future you're slowly piecing together.
Jungkook walks back over to the table, carrying two drinks and a couple of strawberry desserts. His smile is warm as he sets them down in front of you. "I got your favorite," he says, his voice soft with a hint of teasing.
You look up at him, a grateful smile on your face as you thank him. He watches you for a moment, his gaze softening, before he settles into the seat next to you. The drinks, a refreshing mix of iced tea, sit between you both, and the desserts are as tempting as they are indulgent, the sweet aroma of strawberries filling the air.
"You've been scrolling for a while," he notes, glancing at your phone, "finding anything for the house?"
You nod, feeling a little overwhelmed but also excited. "Yeah, I've found a few things... just need to figure out how to make it all come together."
He chuckles, taking a sip of his drink. "You know, we don't have to get everything right away. We can take our time."
You smile, appreciating his laid-back approach. "True, but it's fun to plan. Plus, it's nice to dream about what it'll look like."
The two of you sit there for a few moments, quietly enjoying the treats and each other's company, the peaceful ambiance of the café around you helping to soothe any lingering stress about the future.
You glance at Jungkook, your fingers gently tapping your phone as you talk, "I've been thinking... maybe I should join a pregnancy group. I mean, I'm a first-time mom, and it might help to hear from other people who are going through the same thing."
Jungkook looks up from his drink, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "That sounds like a good idea. It's always nice to have a support system, especially when it comes to something as big as this."
You nod, feeling more reassured by his response. "Yeah, I think it could help me with some of the questions I have. Plus, it'd be nice to hear other people's experiences. I don't want to feel like I'm going through this alone."
Jungkook smiles, leaning in a little closer. "I'm here with you, always. But it's definitely a good idea to have other people to talk to who understand exactly what you're going through."
You smile, feeling comforted by his words. "Thanks, Kook. I appreciate it. I think joining a group might just be what I need."
You laugh lightly, nudging Jungkook as you ask, "What about joining one with me? They have some that do couples, too."
Jungkook immediately cringes, his face scrunching up in a way that makes you chuckle. "Couples?" He shakes his head, clearly uncomfortable with the idea. "I mean, I'll support you, but sitting in a group talking about baby stuff with a bunch of other couples? I don't know about that..."
You smile, teasing him, "Come on, it could be fun. You get to bond with other dads-to-be, too."
Jungkook groans dramatically, throwing his head back as if he's already exhausted. "You know I'm not exactly the 'sit in a circle and talk about feelings' type..."
You giggle, "It's not just feelings, Kook. It's about learning and preparing for the baby."
He sighs, a small smile tugging at his lips despite his reluctance. "I guess I'll go if it really helps you. But I'm going to be the awkward one, aren't I?"
You laugh, "Probably, but you'll be fine."
You scroll through the list of pregnancy groups on your phone, finally feeling a sense of relief when you sign up for two—one that's for women without couples and another for those with couples. You know Jungkook has his hands full with his boxing commitments, but you're hopeful he'll be able to attend some sessions with you.
After signing up, you set your phone down and look at Jungkook, who's still eating his strawberry dessert, clearly lost in thought.
"You know, you can come to some of these when you're not boxing," you say, leaning back in your chair and watching him, hoping he won't be too hesitant about it.
Jungkook looks up at you with a teasing smirk. "So, you're signing me up for pregnancy practice classes now too?"
You chuckle and shrug. "Well, if you want to be a good partner and future dad, I'd love the support." You tease, but deep down, you really do hope he'll be there for you when you need him.
He laughs softly, glancing at his phone as if mentally calculating his schedule. "I guess I can make some time. But don't expect me to sit through all the awkward talks."
You raise an eyebrow, playfully. "Awkward talks? I'm sure they'll be informative, not awkward."
Jungkook takes another bite of his dessert, then looks at you, his eyes softening. "If it makes you happy, I'll go. But don't expect me to be all chipper about it."
You smile, feeling reassured that he's willing to be there for you, even if it means stepping outside his comfort zone. "It's not about being chipper. It's about us learning together."
He nods, his smile a little more genuine. "Alright, alright. I'll go. Just don't drag me to all of them, okay?"
You laugh, leaning across the table to steal a bite of his dessert, "Deal."
As you both finish up and continue chatting, a weight lifts off your shoulders. Knowing that Jungkook is willing to attend some of the classes and be there for the pregnancy journey makes it all feel a little more real. And even though the future is full of unknowns, with him by your side, you feel ready to take it all on.
"Thanks, Kook. I'm glad we're doing this together," you say quietly, feeling the warmth of the moment.
Jungkook reaches over, taking your hand in his. "Always."
You let out a long sigh, collapsing onto Jungkook's bed, feeling the exhaustion of the day settle deep in your bones. Shopping for baby items, furniture, and then navigating the maze of stores—it all took a lot out of you.
Jungkook walks into the room, holding a glass of water in one hand and a blanket in the other. He smiles softly when he sees you lying there, looking worn out. "Long day?" he asks, setting the glass on the bedside table before draping the blanket over you.
You nod, your eyes half-closed as you stretch out, your body grateful for the soft bed beneath you. "I didn't realize how much energy all of that would take," you murmur, your voice tired but content. "But we got a lot done, so... I guess it's worth it."
Jungkook chuckles, sitting down next to you. He gently brushes a strand of hair from your face, his gaze softening as he looks at you. "You've been amazing today. Don't forget to rest. You're doing a lot for both of us... and the baby."
You smile faintly, reaching for his hand. "It's all worth it," you say, squeezing his hand in return. "I'm excited about the new house, and even more about getting everything ready for the baby."
He nods, looking at you affectionately. "We'll make it perfect. But for now, you need to rest. I've got you."
You close your eyes for a moment, feeling the tension leave your body as you relax into the bed, comforted by his presence. "Thanks, Jungkook. For everything," you say softly, your voice barely above a whisper.
He leans down to press a gentle kiss to your forehead, his hand resting lightly on your stomach. "You don't have to thank me," he replies, his voice steady and full of warmth. "We're in this together."
You smile, feeling the weight of your worries ease with his words. "Together," you echo, letting yourself drift into a peaceful, well-deserved rest.
As you drift into a peaceful nap, the soft hum of the house around you helps you relax even further. Jungkook quietly slips out of the room, careful not to disturb you, and heads downstairs to make a call. His mind is set on getting everything sorted for the move.
Downstairs, he pulls out his phone, dialing a number. As it rings, he leans against the counter, his mind already racing with thoughts of how to make the move as smooth as possible for you. When the other line picks up, he speaks firmly, but with purpose.
"Hey, it's Jungkook. I need a team to help me move everything out of my place—Y/n's place, too. We've got a lot to pack and I want to make sure it's done right."
There's a brief pause as the person on the other end responds, and Jungkook nods, taking in the details. "Yeah, tomorrow works. Let's get everything moved by the weekend, if we can."
He listens a little longer, making sure the plan is solid. "Alright, we'll get started early. Thanks." He hangs up the phone, feeling a sense of relief knowing that help is on the way.
Jungkook takes a deep breath, looking up toward the stairs where you're resting. He knows this whole process is going to be a lot for both of you, but with everything falling into place—especially with the support he's pulling together—it's slowly becoming manageable.
Jungkook walks into the kitchen, his mind already shifting to the next task at hand. He pauses for a moment to gather his thoughts before dialing the number of a trusted real estate agent. The phone rings a couple of times before the call is answered.
"Hello, this is Jungkook," he says, his tone already businesslike, "I need to discuss selling a property. It's a house, and I need the paperwork done quickly."
There's a brief exchange, and Jungkook pulls out a notepad, making quick notes as the conversation continues. His eyes narrow as he listens to the agent, confirming the details.
"Yes, I want it listed as soon as possible. It's been well-maintained, and it'll sell fast. Let's move quickly with this," he adds with a firm tone, his experience in handling business deals evident.
He listens for a moment longer before speaking again. "I'll need the market value and an appraisal done within the next two days. Can you make that happen?"
The agent responds, and Jungkook nods, making a few more quick notes.
"Good, I'll expect the paperwork soon. I'm serious about moving this along. If there's anything else needed, let me know. We'll need this all wrapped up quickly," he finishes, his voice calm yet decisive.
He sets the phone down with a sense of accomplishment before heading back upstairs to check on you, ready to face the next step with confidence and determination.
Jungkook stands in the doorway, watching you sleep peacefully. The soft rise and fall of your chest, the way your hair falls across the pillow—it all feels surreal to him. His gaze lingers on your face, tracing every feature with admiration. As he watches you, a feeling of warmth spreads through him, something deeper than he could have anticipated.
He thinks back to how everything unfolded—the unexpected pregnancy, the house, the constant changes—but in this quiet moment, with you resting so peacefully, it feels like everything is falling into place. He never could have imagined this path, but now that he's here, he wouldn't change a thing.
His heart swells with a mixture of love and responsibility. The weight of the future—the baby, the new house, and everything else—doesn't feel as heavy as it once did. Instead, he feels an overwhelming sense of gratitude.
He leans against the doorframe, quietly watching you, a soft smile tugging at his lips. "I'm lucky," he whispers to himself, though he knows you can't hear. He feels the weight of the moment, realizing that while this might not have been how it was all planned, it's exactly how it was meant to be.
You slowly stir, hearing Jungkook's voice gently calling your name. His tone is soft, almost hesitant, like he doesn't want to disturb you, but still wants to make sure you're awake.
"Y/n," he says again, a little louder this time, "You okay?"
You blink your eyes open, adjusting to the light of the room as you turn your head toward him. Jungkook is standing by the door, his hands in his pockets, looking at you with a soft smile.
"Did I wake you?" he asks, walking over to the bed, his gaze full of concern, but there's a certain tenderness in his eyes too.
You nod slowly, rubbing your eyes. "It's okay... Just a long day," you reply, still feeling a little groggy from your nap.
Jungkook chuckles softly, sitting down next to you. "You deserve it. You've been running around all day." He reaches over, brushing a strand of hair away from your face, his touch gentle and reassuring. "How are you feeling?"
You smile at his caring tone, appreciating the attention. "Tired... but good. How about you?"
"Busy, but good," he responds with a grin. "I got some calls made for the house and the move. We'll be set soon."
Your heart skips a beat at his words. The reality of it all is starting to settle in—the move, the new house, the baby on the way. But despite everything, being with him feels like everything will be okay.
"Thanks, Jungkook," you say softly, reaching out to take his hand. "I don't know what I'd do without you."
You sit up a little, a thought suddenly hitting you. "Oh, Jungkook," you say, looking at him with a slight panic in your eyes, "I still need to pack my clothes and other things. I haven't even started on that."
Jungkook's expression softens, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he notices your worry. "Hey, don't stress about it," he reassures you, his voice calm and steady. "We'll take care of it together. You don't have to do everything yourself."
You sigh, but a small sense of relief washes over you at his words. "I know, I just... I don't know where to even start. I still need to go through everything. There's so much I need to pack for the move."
Jungkook stands up and walks over to you, gently cupping your cheek with one hand. "We'll figure it out, okay?" he says, his tone soft yet confident. "I'll help you sort through everything. We'll make it easy, one step at a time."
You nod, feeling a little more at ease. "Thanks, Jungkook. I really appreciate it."
He leans down and places a soft kiss on your forehead. "Anything for you and the baby."
Your heart flutters at his words, and for a moment, all the worries about packing and moving fade away. With him by your side, you feel ready to face whatever comes next.
You glance at Jungkook with a hopeful expression. "Do you think we could start packing some of my things now? I mean, if it's not any trouble, could I put them in your house temporarily? Just until we move into the new place."
Jungkook's smile widens as he nods without hesitation. "Of course, we can start now. And don't worry about it," he says reassuringly, his voice warm. "We have plenty of space at my place, so it won't be an issue. You can put whatever you need there."
You let out a relieved sigh, grateful for how easy he makes everything feel. "Thank you, Jungkook. I really appreciate it. It's just... everything feels a little overwhelming right now."
He walks over to you and gently takes your hand in his, giving it a comforting squeeze. "I've got you," he says softly. "We'll get it done together. No rush, okay?"
You smile, feeling reassured by his calm presence. "Okay, let's get started then."
As Jungkook helps you pack, his eyes widen in surprise as he realizes just how much clothing you have. He chuckles softly, shaking his head. "Wow, I didn't realize you had so many clothes," he teases. "Are we really packing all of this?"
You laugh softly, shrugging. "Yeah, I guess I have a lot more than I thought too. But I want to keep some of these, especially the ones that still fit. I plan to wear them after I give birth, once I lose the pregnancy weight." You smile a little at the thought. "It'll be nice to fit into them again."
Jungkook nods, his expression turning thoughtful. "Yeah, of course, that makes sense. You'll get back to your normal size in no time." His voice is full of confidence, making you feel more at ease about your body changing.
You glance at him, feeling thankful. "Thanks, Jungkook. That actually helps, hearing you say that."
He looks up from the clothes he's folding and gives you a reassuring smile. "Anytime. And don't stress about it too much. You look beautiful no matter what."
Jungkook smirks as he folds another shirt, letting out a teasing sigh. "I mean, when you do lose the belly, I guess I'll have to find another reason to keep you around," he says with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Lowkey, I might want to get you pregnant again."
You roll your eyes, a small laugh escaping your lips as you playfully shove him. "Oh, stop it. You're really gonna talk about that now? Let me at least survive this pregnancy first before you start planning the next one."
He chuckles, raising his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright, just saying. But I mean, you're carrying our baby, and you're already glowing. Can't help but want more of that."
You shake your head, trying to suppress a smile. "You're impossible, you know that?"
By the time the night came to a close, both of you were exhausted. Jungkook helped you carefully transfer all of your clothes, baby supplies, and essentials to his house, making sure everything was packed securely. He even found a storage area to place your things temporarily, making sure you had room to breathe and unpack once things were settled.
The weight of it all finally hit you, but the exhaustion didn't feel so bad with Jungkook by your side. You both worked together, with moments of laughter mixed into the tiredness, as you joked about how much "stuff" you had.
Finally, after the last box was set down in the storage area, you collapsed onto the couch, leaning into Jungkook, your feet aching but feeling oddly relieved. He sat beside you, his arm around your shoulders, pulling you closer.
"How about we just relax for the rest of the night?" he suggested, looking down at you with a smile. "We've earned it."
You nodded, resting your head on his shoulder, feeling grateful for his support, the long day finally winding down.
You looked at him, still a little tired from the day's events, and asked, "So, what are you going to do with your house then?"
Jungkook leaned back against the couch, thoughtfully tapping his fingers on the armrest. "I think I'll keep it. It's closer to my training gym and some of my other businesses. Plus, it's convenient for me."
You nodded, understanding the practicality behind it. "That makes sense. I guess it's good to have a place nearby for your career."
He smiled, glancing at you. "Yeah, and I'll always have a space to come back to if I need time alone. But with the new house, we can make it our home, you know?"
You smiled at the thought of it, feeling comforted by the idea of creating a home together with him. "I like that," you said softly, your hand resting on your stomach. "I really can't wait to start making it our space."
Jungkook squeezed your hand gently. "Me neither," he said, his tone sincere. "We're going to make it perfect for you, for us, and for the baby."
Jungkook leaned in, his lips gently pressing against yours. The kiss was soft, full of warmth and affection. As he pulled back slightly, his hand moved to rest on your stomach, feeling the gentle curve of your growing belly. He kissed it lightly, his eyes full of love and admiration.
"I love feeling you like this," he murmured, his voice filled with tenderness. "It's crazy to think we're about to become parents."
You smiled, a mix of joy and a little nervousness in your heart. "I never imagined it would happen like this, but I'm so glad it's with you."
Jungkook kissed your forehead, holding you close. "Me too," he said softly. "We're going to do great."
The morning felt like a blur. You groggily got up, barely having time to process the fact that your belongings were being packed up and sent somewhere. Jungkook, ever the early riser, had already gotten up and was handling things with the movers, making sure everything was taken care of.
You sluggishly made your way to the living room, rubbing your eyes, still in your pajamas. You saw the movers carrying boxes out the door, your stuff getting loaded into a van. The whole thing felt surreal, but you were too tired to care.
Jungkook noticed you walking into the room, and with a slight smile, he walked over to you, brushing his hand gently against your arm. "You okay? I know it's early, but we're almost done."
You just nodded, too sleepy to say much. "I'm good. Just... tired." You let out a yawn, stretching out your arms. "Is everything packed?"
"Yeah, just a few more things. We'll be done soon," he reassured, his hand resting on your shoulder. "You can take a nap, get some rest while we finish up."
You gave him a small smile, feeling grateful for his help. "Thanks, Jungkook," you said, before stumbling back to his house and landing on his couch, too exhausted to keep your eyes open any longer.
Jungkook watched you for a moment before turning back to check on the movers, but his mind kept drifting back to you, making sure you were okay.
You slowly opened your eyes, the soft sunlight filtering through the curtains. Your head felt heavy, but it was the comfort of the bed that made you not want to move. As your gaze drifted toward the side, you saw Jungkook sitting up, his eyes fixed on you.
His gaze softened when he noticed you waking up, a small smile tugging at his lips. "You finally woke up," he said softly, his voice almost a whisper, as if he didn't want to disturb the peaceful moment.
You blinked a few times, still adjusting to the light. "How long was I asleep?" you asked, your voice groggy.
"Almost three hours," he replied, his tone full of tenderness. "I didn't want to wake you. You looked so peaceful, and you needed the rest."
You stretched a bit, feeling the weight of the pregnancy in your body, your stomach now noticeably larger. "I feel like I've slept forever," you muttered, rubbing your eyes. "How's everything going with the move?"
Jungkook leaned forward slightly, his hand gently resting on your arm. "Almost done. I handled the last few things while you were sleeping. Don't worry, everything's being taken care of."
You nodded, feeling a mix of exhaustion and relief. "Thanks, Jungkook. I'm sorry I wasn't much help."
He shook his head, his expression reassuring. "You've been through enough already. Let me handle it." He reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair away from your face. "Just focus on yourself right now. You're doing great."
The affection in his eyes made you smile, and you felt warmth spread through you. Despite everything being so chaotic, his presence made it all feel a little bit more manageable. "I'm lucky to have you," you said softly, your voice full of gratitude.
Jungkook's smile widened at that, leaning down to kiss your forehead. "I'm lucky to have you, too."
For a moment, there was silence, just the two of you, feeling the weight of everything in a quiet but comforting way.
You stood in front of the mirror in Jungkook's bathroom, trying to shake off the grogginess from your nap. The day ahead was already filled with errands, but the one thing that stood out was your doctor's appointment. You needed to feel comfortable, but still put-together.
As you rummaged through the storage room where all your clothes were now temporarily stored, you pulled out a pair of comfy leggings, knowing they'd stretch with you. You grabbed an oversized sweater that you knew would be warm enough and comfortable, without making you feel too bulky. The sweater was soft, and you immediately felt a little better as you slipped it on. It was loose, yet it still managed to hug your body in just the right way.
You ran your hairbrush through your hair and styled it into a slicked back bun. A quick glance in the mirror, and you were ready enough. You grabbed your shoes, put on a bit of light makeup, and freshened up before walking back into the bedroom.
Jungkook, who had been on his phone, looked up as soon as you stepped into the room. His gaze softened when he saw you. "You look great," he said with a warm smile.
You laughed softly, adjusting the sweater. "It's just a quick outfit. I'm not sure if it's doctor appointment worthy, though."
Jungkook chuckled, walking over to you. He placed a hand on your stomach with gentle affection. "It's perfect. You always look beautiful."
You smiled, feeling a little more at ease with his reassurance. "Thanks," you said, giving him a playful side-eye. "Ready to go?"
He nodded, his expression serious but tender. "I'm always ready when it comes to you." He gave your stomach a soft rub before standing tall again. "Let's make sure everything's perfect for our little one."
You nodded, squeezing his hand as you both walked out of the room together, the feeling of his presence comforting you more than anything.
You sat nervously in the doctor's office, your hands resting gently on your growing belly. Jungkook was sitting next to you, his leg bouncing with excitement. He was practically vibrating with energy, and you couldn't help but smile at how eager he was. This was his first time at a check-up, and he hadn't been able to attend any others due to his training and work commitments.
"I can't believe I'm finally here for this," Jungkook said, his voice almost in disbelief. He turned to look at you, his face lit up with a wide grin. "This is our first real baby check-up, and I get to be here."
You chuckled softly, feeling your nerves settle just a bit because of how excited he was. "I know, it feels like it's been a long time coming."
Jungkook nodded, leaning closer to you. "I've missed out on so much with work, but I'm glad I can be here for this. You look amazing, by the way." His gaze softened, and his fingers gently brushed over your hand. You smiled, squeezing his fingers in return.
"I'm nervous, but I'm glad you're here with me." You looked up at him, trying to calm your thoughts. "You're going to be a great dad, Jungkook."
His expression turned serious for a moment, a warmth in his eyes as he gazed at you. "I'm already looking forward to it. I just want to be there for you and the baby, every step of the way."
Before you could respond, the door opened, and Dr Kim walked in with a friendly smile. "Good morning, Y/n. And you must be Jungkook! I've heard so much about you."
Jungkook stood up immediately, offering a respectful nod. "It's nice to meet you. Thank you for having us today."Dr Kim chuckled and took a seat in front of you. "No problem at all. Let's get started with today's check-up." They began to prepare the ultrasound machine, and you felt your heart skip a beat. This was it — the first time you were going to see your baby's progress, and it was all starting to feel so real.
Jungkook squeezed your hand again, his excitement still evident in his eyes. "Ready?" he asked softly, his voice filled with anticipation.
You nodded, trying to push the nerves aside. "Ready."
As the ultrasound technician applied the gel to your stomach and moved the wand over your skin, you felt a wave of nervousness and excitement wash over you. The sound of the machine buzzing filled the room as the image on the screen began to form, and you could feel Jungkook's gaze fixed on it.
His eyes widened, his breath catching in his throat. "Wow... it's so tiny," he whispered, his voice full of awe. He leaned in closer, his hand tightening around yours. "Look at them, Y/n. That's our baby."
You looked at the screen, your heart swelling as the small, flickering image of your baby appeared. It was still so early, but seeing the little one moving, so small and perfect, made everything feel even more real. You couldn't help but smile at the sight.
The technician pointed to the screen. "There we go. Everything's looking great. Your baby's heart is beating strong, and their size is just where it should be at this stage."
Jungkook's face lit up even more, if that was even possible. His eyes were glued to the screen, watching intently. "I can't believe this... they're so small. It's like a little bean." He chuckled softly, as if still processing the reality of what was happening.
You couldn't help but laugh too, your heart full. "I know... it feels unreal. But it's so amazing."
Jungkook's gaze never left the screen, his fingers gently rubbing your hand. "I'm going to protect them. I swear. We're going to be an awesome team, Y/n."
You looked at him, and the warmth in his eyes made you feel at ease. "I know we will be."
The technician continued with the scan, capturing measurements, and letting you watch as your baby's tiny body moved on the screen. After a few more minutes, she finished the scan and cleaned off your stomach.
"All looks good," she said with a smile, "Everything's progressing as it should. Your baby is healthy."
You exhaled a breath you didn't realize you were holding in, feeling relieved and happy. Jungkook squeezed your hand again, grinning from ear to ear. "I can't wait to meet you, little one."
The technician printed a picture of the ultrasound, and you held it up for Jungkook to look at. His face was full of wonder and pure joy. "This is just the beginning," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.
You smiled, feeling a sense of peace and excitement wash over you. This was the start of your journey into parenthood, and no matter what challenges lay ahead, you knew you'd have each other.
Jungkook's excitement never seemed to fade as he turned to Dr. Kim, eager to know more. "When can we find out the gender?" he asked, his voice filled with anticipation.
Dr. Kim smiled warmly, noticing his enthusiasm. "Typically, we can determine the gender between 18 and 20 weeks with a more accurate ultrasound," she explained. "If you want, we can try during your next appointment, but it's best to wait until then for a clearer result."
Jungkook's face lit up at the thought. "Okay, sounds good," he said, squeezing your hand a little tighter. "I can't wait to know if we're having a boy or a girl."
You smiled at his excitement, knowing how much this meant to him. "It'll be soon enough," you said softly, resting your hand on your stomach. "I'm excited too."
Dr. Kim chuckled. "It's such an exciting time, especially for first-time parents. You two are going to be great."
Jungkook nodded eagerly. "I'm just so ready. I want to be the best dad."
The doctor gave him a reassuring smile. "You'll be a fantastic dad, Jungkook. And Y/n, you're already doing amazing. Just keep up with your check-ups, and everything will go smoothly."
After a few more minutes of conversation and checking up on your health, Dr. Kim wrapped things up. Jungkook, still with a big grin, helped you up, his hand never leaving yours. "Next time, we'll know if it's a boy or a girl," he said, his excitement palpable.
You leaned into him, feeling the warmth of his joy. "I know," you replied, a small laugh escaping. "We'll just have to wait a little longer."
As you sit in the car, you watch Jungkook, his gaze fixed on the ultrasound photo. His fingers gently trace the image, a soft smile tugging at his lips. His excitement is palpable, and you can't help but smile too as you watch him take in the small, yet profound moment.
"Can't stop staring at it, huh?" you tease, feeling a little giddy from the sight of him so captivated.
Jungkook looks up at you, his face glowing with joy. "How could I not?" he replies, his voice filled with awe. "It's like... it's real now. Our baby is actually in there."
You chuckle, leaning back in your seat. "It definitely feels real now. I've been thinking about it non-stop, but seeing it like this... it's a whole other feeling."
He nods, his eyes still glued to the picture. "I know. It's crazy. I keep thinking about how tiny they are now, but soon, they're going to be here, and we're going to have a little one to take care of."
You watch as his expression softens, his excitement turning into something deeper—something more reflective. "I can't wait, Y/n. I know we've still got time, but I'm already so ready for them to be here."
His words are sincere, and you can tell he's thinking about the future with you and your baby. You reach over, resting your hand on his. "You're going to be an amazing dad, Jungkook. I already know it."
He smiles at you, a warmth in his eyes. "Thanks, Y/n. That really means a lot."
For a moment, there's just the quiet hum of the car and the shared understanding between you two. No more words are needed, the excitement and love filling the space between you. The ultrasound photo might be small, but it's a symbol of the big, beautiful changes ahead.
You glance over at Jungkook, your eyes playful as you bite your lip. "Hey, can you stop by a grocery store? I might have... eaten all the strawberries earlier," you say, a hint of guilt in your voice, "and now I'm really craving more."
Jungkook chuckles, glancing over at you with a mischievous smile. "You ate them all, huh?" he teases, his tone light but with a knowing smirk. "Alright, I'll get you more. You're lucky I don't mind being your personal strawberry delivery service."
"Well, you're the best," you reply, giggling as you gently nudge him with your elbow. "I promise I won't eat them all this time... maybe."
He shakes his head, laughing softly. "Sure, sure. We'll see about that."
As you both share a quiet laugh, Jungkook pulls into the nearest grocery store, ready to grab whatever you need. You can't help but smile, appreciating how willing he is to make sure you're comfortable, even if it means a quick stop for strawberries.
You decide to step into your now-empty house, a part of you needing to see it one last time before fully letting go. The moment you step inside, the quietness hits you. The echoes of your footsteps replace the familiar warmth of the space that once felt so full of life. Your eyes sweep across the bare walls, the empty corners, and the spot where your couch used to be. It feels surreal—like a part of you is being left behind.
Jungkook follows behind, carrying the grocery bag, but he pauses when he sees you standing still in the middle of the room. "Y/n?" His voice is soft, careful.
You swallow the lump forming in your throat, your fingers grazing the doorframe as memories flood back. "It feels so different," you murmur. "It doesn't even look like my home anymore."
Jungkook sets the bag down and steps closer. "That's because home isn't a place," he says gently, wrapping an arm around your waist. "It's you. And wherever you go, that's home."
You let out a small, shaky laugh, leaning into his warmth. "You always know what to say, don't you?"
He shrugs, pressing a kiss to the side of your head. "I just know you."
You take a deep breath, letting the moment settle. It still hurts to say goodbye, but Jungkook's right. This house was just walls and a roof. The real home—the real future—is waiting for you in a new place, with him, with your baby.
Turning to him, you smile. "Okay," you say, wiping your eyes quickly. "Let's go home."
Jungkook grins, squeezing your hand. "Our home," he corrects, leading you out the door.
You take one last look around before stepping outside, the weight of the moment settling in. With a deep breath, you pull the house keys from your pocket and place them in Jungkook's hand.
He watches you carefully, his fingers closing around the keys as if he understands just how much this means. "I'll take care of everything," he reassures you. "The selling, the paperwork—you don't have to stress about it."
You nod, your lips pressing together as you try to hold back any lingering emotion. "Thank you," you whisper.
Jungkook reaches out, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear before resting his palm against your cheek. "You don't have to thank me," he says, his voice low and warm. "You're already dealing with enough. Just focus on the baby, on us. I've got the rest."
A small, grateful smile tugs at your lips. "You really are the best, you know that?"
He grins, tilting his head. "I do, but I like hearing it from you."
You roll your eyes playfully before lacing your fingers with his. "Come on," you say, squeezing his hand. "Let's go home."
With one last glance at the house that held so many memories, you turn away, walking toward the future waiting for you. And with Jungkook by your side, it doesn't feel so scary.
You step into Jungkook's house, the warmth of it wrapping around you, but your mind is still lingering on the empty space you left behind. You take a deep breath, trying to shake the overwhelming emotions, but the tears slip down your cheeks anyway—pregnancy hormones hitting hard.
Jungkook follows in behind you, closing the door softly. He doesn't say anything at first, just watching as you quickly wipe at your face, pretending like you're fine.
He sighs, walking over and wrapping his arms around you from behind, his chin resting gently on your shoulder. "You don't have to hide it," he murmurs.
You sniffle, leaning into him. "I know, it's just... I didn't think it would hit me like this. It was just a house, but—"
"But it was your home," he finishes for you.
You nod, exhaling shakily as his warmth seeps into you.
Jungkook sways you slightly, his hands rubbing your belly gently. "I get it. But you're not losing anything, okay? You're gaining something new—our home, together."
His words settle something inside you, and you let out a small laugh. "You sound way too smooth for this situation."
He chuckles, pressing a soft kiss to your temple. "I mean it, though. We're gonna fill that new house with even better memories. And a lot of baby stuff."
You sigh, wiping your eyes again, but this time with a small smile. "Yeah... I know."
"Good." He turns you around, cupping your cheeks. "Now, let's get you something sweet before these pregnancy tears turn into pregnancy crankiness."
You laugh, lightly smacking his chest. "You're so annoying."
He smirks. "And you love me for it."
Rolling your eyes, you let him guide you toward the kitchen, the weight on your chest feeling just a little lighter.
You sit at the kitchen counter, excited to finally eat your strawberries. Just as you pick one up, Jungkook's phone rings, making him groan.
"Hold on, I gotta take this," he says, glancing at the screen before stepping out of the room.
You sigh, watching him disappear down the hallway as you slowly take a bite. The sweetness bursts on your tongue, but you can't help but feel a little curious about the call. Jungkook rarely ever leaves the room unless it's something important.
You swirl the strawberry in the small bowl of sugar you prepared, absentmindedly listening to the faint sound of his voice. His tone is calm, but there's a seriousness to it that makes you wonder who's on the other end.
Still, you shake it off, deciding to focus on your craving. Whatever it is, Jungkook will tell you if it's important. Right now, your priority is enjoying these strawberries in peace.
The air was peaceful as you savored another strawberry, letting the sweetness linger on your tongue. But the moment Jungkook walked back in, you could tell something was off. His expression was tight, jaw clenched slightly as he ran a hand through his hair.
You swallow, setting your bowl down. "What's wrong?"
Jungkook sighs, leaning against the counter. "I have to go," he says, his voice laced with frustration. "My manager is forcing me to do something. I tried saying no, but..." He trails off, shaking his head.
Your lips press into a thin line. "Forcing you?"
He exhales through his nose. "Yeah, it's some last-minute thing. I don't even want to do it, but if I don't, it'll cause issues." His eyes meet yours, almost apologetic. "I hate leaving you right now."
You nod slowly, trying to push away the disappointment creeping in. You understood—his career wasn't something he could just drop obligations for. But that didn't mean you weren't a little upset.
"It's fine," you say, offering a small smile. "I mean, it sucks, but I get it."
Jungkook watches you for a second, then steps closer, wrapping an arm around your waist. "I'll make it up to you, okay?" He presses a kiss to your forehead, lingering. "I promise."
You sigh, leaning into him. "You better."
He chuckles before kissing you one more time. "I'll be back as soon as I can."
And just like that, the peaceful air is gone as he grabs his things and heads out the door, leaving you alone with your half-eaten strawberries and a small ache in your chest.
You let out a dramatic sigh, resting your head against the cool surface of the counter. The silence in the house felt heavier now that Jungkook was gone, and the strawberries in front of you didn't seem as exciting anymore.
You poke at them lazily with your fork, sulking. "This is so boring," you mumble to yourself, staring at the ceiling as if it would magically entertain you.
You grab your phone, scrolling mindlessly through social media, but even that doesn't hold your attention for long. The house felt too quiet, too empty without Jungkook's presence.
You groan, pushing yourself up. "I need to find something to do," you mutter, rubbing your belly absentmindedly. "Guess it's just you and me, baby."
With that, you drag yourself off the stool, determined to find some way to pass the time. Maybe a bath? A movie? Calling Mina to rant? Anything to shake off the boredom settling in.
You grab your phone and scroll through your contacts before pressing on "Mom." The phone rings a few times before she picks up, her familiar warm voice immediately soothing your mood.
"Y/n! Sweetheart, how are you?"
You sigh, feeling a bit emotional. "I'm okay, just... bored. Jungkook got called away for something, and I didn't feel like being alone."
Your mom hums knowingly. "Ah, I see. That boyfriend of yours is always busy, huh?"
You smile. "Yeah, but he tries, Mom. He's been helping a lot."
There's a pause before she asks softly, "And how are you feeling? The baby?"
Your heart warms at her concern. "We had a check-up today. Everything's fine. Jungkook came with me this time—he was so excited seeing the ultrasound."
Your mom chuckles. "I can only imagine. You know, your dad was the same way when I was pregnant with you. He wouldn't stop staring at the pictures."
You smile at the thought. "Speaking of Dad, is he home?"
"Of course. Let me put you on speaker." You hear a rustling sound before your dad's deep voice comes through.
"Y/n! How's my little girl?"
Your throat tightens slightly at his voice. "I'm good, Dad. Just wanted to hear you both."
There's a soft pause before he replies, "We miss you, kiddo."
Your eyes sting, emotions bubbling up. "I miss you guys too."
Your mom sighs. "We should visit soon, maybe bring some food over. You're probably craving a home-cooked meal."
Your stomach growls at the thought, making you laugh. "That actually sounds amazing."
You take a deep breath, deciding now was the right time to tell them. "Actually... there's something else I wanted to tell you guys."
Your mom hums curiously. "Oh? What is it?"
You shift slightly in your seat. "I moved out."
There's a beat of silence before your dad speaks. "Wait—moved out? Where to?"
You bite your lip, already expecting his confusion. "Jungkook and I... we found a house together."
Your mom gasps. "Oh, Y/n! That's wonderful! A fresh start!"
Your dad, on the other hand, sounds more skeptical. "Wait, wait, hold on. You mean you just packed up and left? Just like that?"
You sigh. "Well, it wasn't sudden, Dad. I mean, I had to move eventually, right? The baby's coming, and we needed more space."
Your dad exhales, and you can tell he's processing it. "I just didn't expect you to move in with him so soon."
Your mom chimes in, "Oh, honey, you know how things are these days. They're starting a family, and it makes sense for them to be together."
Your dad stays quiet for a moment before finally sighing. "I guess you're right." His voice softens. "I just want to make sure you're taken care of. That you're happy."
You smile, feeling warmth spread in your chest. "I am, Dad. I promise."
He chuckles lightly. "Alright then. But don't think this means we won't be visiting."
Your mom laughs. "Exactly! We need to see this new house of yours!"
You shake your head playfully. "I'd expect nothing less."
You sigh dramatically, sinking into the couch as you continue talking to your mom. "Mom, this house is huge. Like, I knew it was big when we first saw it, but actually living in it? It feels massive."
Your mom chuckles. "Well, that's good! You'll have all the space you need for the baby and for yourselves."
You nod, even though she can't see you. "Yeah, that's what I keep telling myself. But, Mom, the garden? It's like a whole other property on its own! I was thinking about renovating it—maybe adding a pool and a little outdoor area for the baby to play when they're older."
Your mom gasps in excitement. "A pool? Oh, that sounds lovely! You always did like the idea of having one. Are you sure Jungkook's okay with all these plans?"
You laugh, thinking about how Jungkook just shrugged when you told him. "Honestly, he doesn't really care—he's letting me do whatever I want with the house. He just says as long as I'm happy, he's happy."
Your mom sighs dreamily. "That boy is a keeper."
You grin. "I know! But, Mom, the rooms in this house? There are so many! We have like... I don't even know, I lost count at this point. There's our bedroom, a guest room, a nursery, an office space, a gym room—like, what do I even do with all this space?"
Your mom laughs. "Well, you'll figure it out eventually. Just don't stress too much, sweetheart. You have time to make this house feel like a home."
You smile softly. "Yeah... you're right. I just want it to be perfect for the baby, you know?"
"I know, honey," she says gently. "And it will be. You and Jungkook are going to make a beautiful home for your little one."
Hearing that makes your heart swell, and you feel a new wave of excitement. "Thanks, Mom. You're definitely coming over once it's all set up."
"Of course! I wouldn't miss it for the world."
Your mom's voice turns curious as she asks, "Have you met his parents yet?"
You pause for a moment, remembering the first time you met them. "Yeah, I did," you answer slowly. "It was a little intense, but I think it went okay in the end."
She sounds interested. "Intense? What happened?"
You sigh, recalling the initial tension in the room. "Well, his dad was a bit... shocked at first. He didn't take the news too well, but his mom was really nice. It was just a lot to take in at once, and I wasn't really sure how they'd react to everything."
Your mom listens carefully. "That must've been tough. But it sounds like his mom warmed up to you. How about his dad? Did he come around?"
"Yeah, he did," you reply, your tone a little lighter now. "It took him some time, but he's softened up. I think he just needed to process everything, and now he seems to understand that this is happening."
She laughs softly. "I can imagine! It's a big change for them too. But I'm glad things are getting better with them."
You nod, feeling comforted by her words. "Yeah, it's just a lot of adjustment, but I think it'll be okay in the end."
"Of course it will," she reassures you. "You've got this, sweetie. Just take it one step at a time. And if you ever need to talk, I'm always here."
"Thanks, Mom," you smile, feeling a sense of relief. "I really appreciate it."
As you were wrapping up your call with your parents, you heard the doorbell ring. You glance up, wondering who it could be, especially since Jungkook isn't around.
Curious, you put your phone down and make your way to the door. You open it, and to your surprise, it's someone you didn't expect.
Yoongi stands at the door, his arms crossed as he looks at you, eyes narrowed in a way that makes it hard to gauge if he's angry or just confused. He raises an eyebrow, clearly not satisfied with the silence that lingers.
"You didn't tell me?" he asks, his voice flat but with a hint of something more—maybe disappointment, maybe concern.
You freeze, your stomach tightening slightly. "Yoongi, I—"
He cuts you off before you can continue. "You could have said something. Why keep it from me?"
You bite your lip, unsure how to explain. "I didn't know how to bring it up. It felt... like a lot to share all at once."
Yoongi doesn't move, but his gaze softens just a little. "It's a big deal, Y/n. You don't have to do everything alone. We're friends, family—even if it's overwhelming, you should have let me in."
You look down, guilt creeping up on you, knowing he's right. "I just didn't want to make everything about me, especially with everything else going on."
There's a long pause, and Yoongi uncrosses his arms, sighing deeply. "I get it, but next time, talk to me. Don't shut us out."
You look up at him, relieved that he doesn't sound mad, just... concerned. "I will. I promise."
He nods, a small smirk appearing at the corner of his lips. "You better. We're all here for you, you know?"
You finally smile, the weight in your chest lifting just a little. "Thanks, Yoongi. I really appreciate it."
Yoongi looks at you with a puzzled expression, his brows furrowed. "Wait, why are you at Jungkook's house?" he asks, his tone both curious and a little skeptical.
You sigh and lean against the doorframe, trying to find the right words. "Well... things happened faster than expected. I moved out of my place, and Jungkook and I found a house. We're sort of... starting over together."
Yoongi blinks, clearly not expecting that. His face freezes for a moment before he chokes out, "Wait, what? You bought a house with Jungkook?"
You nod slowly, feeling the weight of his disbelief. "Yeah... I know it's a lot. It all happened quickly, but we're making it work."
Yoongi blinks a few times, trying to process everything. "You... bought a house? Together? Just like that?"
You shrug a little, feeling slightly awkward now under his gaze. "It wasn't planned, but we found a place, and it felt like the right thing to do. Especially with the baby on the way."
Yoongi runs a hand through his hair, clearly overwhelmed by the news. "Damn... that's... that's a lot. I mean, it's good, but... this is so much faster than I thought. Are you sure you're okay with all of this?"
You nod, though there's a hint of uncertainty in your voice. "Yeah, I'm okay. It's just... it's a lot to juggle, you know?"
Yoongi looks at you seriously, his tone softening. "You know, you can talk to me if it gets too much. I'm here for you, right? I don't want you to feel like you have to handle everything alone."
Yoongi stands there for a moment, looking you over with a raised eyebrow. Then, with a sly smirk, he shakes his head.
"Honestly, Jungkook's got it good," he says teasingly. "You look... well, let's just say he's lucky. I mean, look at you—pregnant and glowing. He better appreciate you."
You laugh, feeling a bit flustered at his words, but grateful for the compliment. "I think he does... most of the time," you respond with a playful smile, trying to brush off the awkwardness.
Yoongi chuckles, raising his hands in mock surrender. "Just saying. If I were him, I wouldn't let you out of my sight." He gives you a quick, approving nod. "But yeah, you're doing great. Just make sure you're not letting him off easy, okay? He might be good at boxing, but you've got the real power here."
You smile, feeling a little lighter after the teasing, even if it was aimed mostly at Jungkook. "I think I'm keeping him on his toes," you reply, joking along with Yoongi.
He nods, a grin tugging at the corner of his lips. "Good. Keep him in check. You're carrying the future champion, after all."
Yoongi still seems a bit stunned by the news, his eyes flickering between you and the baby bump. "Wait, seriously," he says, still processing it. "You're pregnant? Have you taken any pictures yet? Like, ultrasound ones or just pictures of your belly growing?"
You chuckle at his sudden shift from teasing to genuine curiosity. "I've taken a couple," you admit, "but I guess I've been a little distracted with everything going on. I'm not really thinking about taking too many, you know?"
Yoongi nods slowly, his expression softening. "You should. It's a big moment, not just for you and Jungkook but for the baby too. I'm sure you'll look back on those pictures and think how crazy it all was." He smiles faintly. "Plus, I think Jungkook would appreciate it. He seems pretty excited about all this."
You smile softly, feeling the warmth of Yoongi's words. "I know. He's been really great through all of this." You look down at your belly for a moment, then back up at him. "Maybe I should start taking more pictures."
Yoongi gives you a teasing smirk. "Do it. Trust me, you'll want to remember these moments, especially when the baby's keeping you up all night later." He laughs lightly, clearly trying to lighten the mood again. "Besides, you're going to look even more stunning as your bump gets bigger. So, don't forget to snap a pic or two."
You nod, feeling the warmth of his hug and his sincerity. "No more secrets," you promise, smiling a little.
Yoongi grins, giving you a playful nudge. "Good. I'll be checking in," he says with a wink before turning to leave.
As the door closes behind him, you take a deep breath, feeling the weight of everything that's happened. With Yoongi's departure, you couldn't help but think about how much has changed and how much more there was to come.
You sit there, aimlessly scrolling through your phone, bored out of your mind. You swipe past endless posts, nothing catching your interest until you come across a post about a baby shower. Suddenly, the idea hits you—why haven't you thought of that yet? A baby shower and a gender reveal could be the perfect way to tell everyone the news.
It would be a fun, exciting way to get everyone involved and celebrate this new chapter with all your friends and family. You start imagining all the little details—the decorations, the games, and of course, the big reveal. Your mind starts racing with possibilities.
You glance at your phone, already typing out a message to Jungkook. "What do you think about a baby shower and gender reveal? It'll be a fun way to tell everyone, and we can make it a whole celebration!"
You hit send, your excitement building as you wait for his reply.
You start to daydream about the location, considering the possibilities. Your new house's backyard comes to mind, and instantly, it feels perfect. It would be such an intimate moment, with the sun shining down, everyone gathered in a cozy, beautiful space. The thought of having your closest friends and family there, surrounded by greenery and the comfort of home, makes you smile.
The backyard would be big enough for the games, the decorations, and most importantly, the gender reveal. You can already picture how it will look—fairy lights hanging from the trees, soft pastel colors everywhere, and that moment when you find out the gender together.
You text Jungkook again, this time sharing your idea. "What do you think about hosting the baby shower and gender reveal at our new house? I'm picturing the backyard. It could be such an intimate and special moment."
You hit send, feeling more excited now that you've got a vision for it.
You dive into Pinterest, creating a new board for baby shower ideas. As you scroll through endless pins, you're filled with excitement. The more you browse, the more creative your ideas get. You save everything from pastel color palettes to cute DIY decor, personalized cake toppers, and baby shower games that could make everyone laugh. You even start pinning ideas for the gender reveal, imagining a fun moment where everyone is equally as excited.
You think about the little touches that could make it extra special—maybe a welcome sign with the baby's name (if you decide to share it), or a special spot for photos so everyone can capture the memories. You add everything to the board, feeling more and more inspired.
As you're deep into planning, your phone buzzes with a message from Jungkook: "I love the idea, babe. The backyard will be perfect. Let's make it something special!"
You smile, feeling even more confident about your choice. This baby shower is going to be amazing.
