Between all the calls, scheduling deliveries, and making sure everything was set for the move, the past week had been exhausting. Jungkook had been busier than ever with his training and promoting his new partnership, and while you were genuinely happy for him, you couldn't help but feel overwhelmed handling everything on your own.

Sitting on the couch, you scrolled through your notes, checking off what had been done and what was still pending. The nursery furniture was set to arrive soon, the new bed was scheduled for delivery, and most of the big pieces were being taken care of. But there were still little things—decor, kitchenware, and organizing everything once it was in the house.

With a sigh, you leaned back, rubbing your belly. "We're really doing this, huh?" you mumbled, smiling softly to yourself. It was all happening so fast, but you were excited.

Just then, your phone rang. It was Jungkook.

"Hey, baby," he greeted, his voice a little breathless.

"Hey," you responded, trying not to sound too drained.

"I miss you," he said, and you could hear the pout in his voice. "How's everything going with the house?"

You sighed dramatically. "I think I should be the one getting a partnership deal after all the calls I've made this week."

Jungkook chuckled. "I know you've been handling a lot. I'm sorry I haven't been able to help much."

"It's okay," you said, though you wished he was around more.

"How about this," he offered. "Let's take a break this weekend. I'll clear my schedule, and we can go check out the house together. I wanna see everything in person."

Your heart warmed at the thought. "You promise?"

"I swear."

A smile spread across your face. "Alright, deal."

Even though the call was short, you still felt appreciative that Jungkook was at least trying to balance his hectic schedule while making time for you. You knew how demanding his training and promotions were, but the fact that he still made an effort to check in with you—even for just a few minutes—meant a lot.

With a small smile, you placed your phone down and stretched. The house still needed work, and moving day was approaching fast, but at least now you had something to look forward to: a weekend with Jungkook, just the two of you, finally seeing your new home together.

You sighed, rubbing your belly absentmindedly. "Guess it's just us for now, huh?" You chuckled to yourself, feeling a soft flutter in response.

Determined to get things done, you grabbed your laptop and pulled up your to-do list again. If Jungkook was going to see the house this weekend, you wanted it to be as close to perfect as possible.

You had spent the entire day making orders for the essentials for the house—looking at dining tables, chairs, and everything else that would make it feel like home. It was exhausting, but you wanted everything to be ready before moving in.

As you scrolled through different options, comparing prices and styles, you couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed. There were so many choices, and with Jungkook being so busy, most of the decisions fell on you. Not that you minded, but you did wish he was here to help, even if it was just to joke around and take some of the stress off.

You sighed, rubbing your temples before clicking confirm purchase on yet another order. "Okay, that should be everything... for now," you mumbled to yourself.

Just as you were about to close your laptop, your phone buzzed with a text from Jungkook.

Jungkook: Still up?

You smiled, quickly typing back.

You: Yeah, just finished ordering some things for the house. You?

His reply came almost instantly.

Jungkook: On my way home. Tired as hell.

You frowned, knowing how hard he had been pushing himself.

You: Get some rest when you get back, okay?

Jungkook: I will. Call you when I'm home.

Shaking your head with a small smile, you shut your laptop and leaned back against the couch. It had been a long day, but at least things were finally coming together.

Although you tried your best to stay up for Jungkook, it was nearly impossible. The exhaustion from the day had finally caught up to you.

When Jungkook walked into the house, he was greeted by the sight of you curled up on the couch, fast asleep. Your hand was resting on your belly, your breathing slow and steady. He smiled to himself, feeling his heart swell at the sight.

He set his bag down quietly before making his way over to you. Kneeling beside the couch, he gently brushed a few strands of hair from your face. She really waited for me... he thought, feeling a pang of guilt. He knew you had been handling most of the house preparations on your own while he was caught up with training and promotions.

Jungkook sighed softly before carefully slipping his arms under you. He lifted you effortlessly, carrying you toward the bedroom. You stirred slightly, mumbling something incoherent, but instead of waking up, you instinctively nestled closer to his chest.

He chuckled under his breath, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. "You're too stubborn for your own good," he whispered.

Once in the bedroom, he laid you down gently, pulling the covers over you before sliding in next to you. His hand found your belly, tracing light circles over it.

"Sorry I've been so busy," he murmured, even though he knew you couldn't hear him. "I'll make it up to you... both of you."

With that promise, he closed his eyes, letting sleep finally take over.

You slowly blinked awake, your eyes adjusting to the bright morning light streaming through the curtains. The sound of drawers opening and closing, hurried footsteps, and the occasional curse filled the room.

Turning your head, you saw Jungkook rushing around his room, clearly in a frenzy. He was shirtless, hair still slightly damp from a shower, as he threw clothes around, searching for something. His duffel bag lay open on the floor, half-packed, and his phone kept lighting up on the nightstand with missed calls.

"You're up?" he asked quickly, barely sparing you a glance as he tugged a hoodie over his head.

"Kind of hard not to be with all this noise," you mumbled, rubbing your eyes. "What's going on?"

"I'm late," he huffed, finally finding his missing boxing wraps and stuffing them into his bag. "Manager hyung's gonna kill me."

You yawned, stretching slightly. "Maybe if you didn't stay up rubbing my belly for half the night, you wouldn't be so late."

Jungkook stopped for a second, a guilty smile tugging at his lips. "It helps me sleep."

You rolled your eyes, watching as he slung his bag over his shoulder. Before he could bolt out the door, you reached out, grabbing his wrist. "Hey, don't forget to eat something."

"I will," he promised, leaning down to press a quick kiss to your lips. "I'll be back later, okay?"

You hummed sleepily, watching him rush out of the room. As soon as the door shut, you sighed, flopping back onto the bed. He's always in a rush...

You sighed, staring at the long list of things that still needed to be done for the house. With Jungkook busy and barely home, you knew you couldn't handle everything alone. So, you did what any smart person would do—you called for backup.

Mina picked up on the second ring. "Hey, mama-to-be! What's up?"

"I need help," you admitted, already feeling relieved just hearing her voice. "The house is a mess, deliveries are coming in nonstop, and I feel like I'm about to lose my mind."

Mina gasped dramatically. "Say no more. I'm on my way."

Next, you called Yoongi.

"...What did Jungkook do now?" was the first thing he said when he answered.

You sighed. "Nothing—well, besides being busy all the time. I just need help moving things into the house."

There was a long pause before he finally muttered, "You owe me coffee."

"I'll buy you a whole damn café if you come help," you joked.

An hour later, Mina and Yoongi arrived at your new house. Mina squealed as soon as she stepped inside, spinning in a slow circle. "Okay, wow. This is huge. Imagine all the baby things you could fit in here!"

Yoongi, on the other hand, looked around, unimpressed. "You really called me for this?"

"Yes," you deadpanned, crossing your arms. "Now get to work."

He grumbled under his breath but still rolled up his sleeves, and just like that, the three of you got to work—unpacking boxes, moving furniture, and making the house feel more like a home.

As you, Mina, and Yoongi stood in the living room, waiting for the delivery men to bring in the new couch, Mina suddenly straightened up, eyes widening.

"Oh. My. God," she whispered, nudging your arm.

You turned your head just in time to see two buff delivery men walk in, effortlessly carrying the large couch like it weighed nothing. They were tall, broad-shouldered, and kind enough to greet you all with warm smiles.

Mina practically melted beside you. "Where do they make men like this?" she sighed dreamily.

Yoongi scoffed. "At the gym. Maybe you should go sometime."

Mina shot him a glare but was too distracted by the sight in front of her to argue. She even flipped her hair, subtly trying to catch one of the delivery guys' attention as they carefully placed the couch down.

You bit your lip, holding back a laugh. "Mina, you're drooling."

"I am not," she hissed, wiping the corner of her mouth just in case.

The taller delivery guy turned to you. "Where would you like this, ma'am?"

Before you could answer, Mina jumped in. "Right here is fine," she said sweetly, placing a hand on the couch like she personally owned it.

Yoongi rolled his eyes so hard it looked painful. "Pathetic," he muttered.

You covered your mouth to stop yourself from laughing as Mina continued to shamelessly admire the delivery men, already plotting ways to "accidentally" need more furniture delivered in the future.

Yoongi raised a brow as he looked around at the neatly stacked boxes, all bearing the same company's logo. "Why did you buy everything from the same place?" he asked, crossing his arms.

You shrugged, plopping down onto the new couch. "Jungkook recommended it," you said simply, stretching out. "And, honestly? It's not even my money—it's his."

Mina gasped dramatically. "So you're officially a rich housewife now?"

You rolled your eyes. "Not a housewife."

"Yet," Yoongi added with a smirk, making Mina giggle.

You threw a pillow at him. "Shut up."

Yoongi chuckled, shaking his head. "Well, at least the stuff looks good. But damn, Jungkook really went all out, huh?"

Mina sighed, flopping beside you. "I need a man who just hands me his credit card and tells me to go crazy."

Yoongi deadpanned. "You don't even have a man."

Mina scowled. "Exactly. That's the problem."

You laughed, shaking your head at their bickering, feeling a little less overwhelmed now that your friends were here to help.

You had spent the entire morning arranging the living room, making it feel cozy and lived-in. You draped soft blankets over the new couch, fluffed the pillows, and admired how everything was coming together.

Luckily, the delivery men had handled the hardest part—mounting the massive flat-screen TV Jungkook had insisted on getting. It was sleek, modern, and took up nearly half the wall, but you had to admit it looked perfect.

Mina plopped onto the couch, stretching out with a satisfied sigh. "Okay, I could get used to this."

Yoongi, standing near the TV with his arms crossed, smirked. "Jungkook really went all out. This place is starting to look like a luxury showroom."

You laughed, adjusting a throw pillow. "Well, he wants everything perfect before we move in fully. Plus, he knows I don't want to do all this last-minute."

Mina grinned. "So...when's the official move-in date?"

You exhaled, looking around. "Hopefully soon. There's still a lot to do."

Yoongi scoffed. "Yeah, like deciding what to do with all these damn boxes still sitting around."

You groaned, flopping onto the couch next to Mina. "One step at a time."

You glance over at Mina and Yoongi, a grin forming on your face. "I've been thinking... I want to throw a baby shower," you say, your voice filled with excitement.

Mina's eyes widen immediately. "Wait, really? Oh my god, that's such a great idea! Are you doing a gender reveal, too?"

You nod, already imagining how it'll all come together. "Yeah, I want to do the baby shower and the gender reveal at the same time. I was thinking of having it at the new house, in the backyard. It'll be perfect."

Yoongi, who had been quiet until now, raises an eyebrow. "Jungkook knows about this, right?"

You laugh softly. "Yeah, he's on board. I mentioned it to him, and he thinks it's a great idea. He's actually excited, but I haven't told him it's going to be a gender reveal too." You smirk. "It'll be a surprise for him."

Mina gasps, practically bouncing in her seat. "A surprise gender reveal? That's perfect! It'll make it so much more fun."

Yoongi leans back with a small smirk. "Alright, so we're planning a full-blown event. I'm in."

You chuckle, "We're going to need to get organized. I've already started looking at ideas on Pinterest, but I need help with everything else—decorations, food, the whole setup."

Mina starts tapping away at her phone. "Okay, first things first. Let's find out what Jungkook will be okay with for the theme. Do we go with classic blue and pink, or something neutral?"

You think for a moment. "I'm leaning towards something more neutral, maybe green and white with some soft pastels. Nothing too crazy."

Yoongi snorts. "So basically, a Pinterest dream."

You roll your eyes. "Pretty much."

Mina grins, already planning in her head. "Okay, this is going to be so much fun. Let's get the ball rolling! I'll help with everything."

You look at them both, feeling a sense of relief and excitement. "Thanks, guys. This is exactly what I needed."

Yoongi smiles, leaning back in his chair. "No problem. We'll make it the best baby shower ever."

The doorbell rang, and you immediately jumped up, knowing it was the delivery for the new bed you had been eagerly waiting for. You made your way to the door, heart racing in excitement as you opened it.

A group of movers stood there, each one with a friendly smile, ready to bring the new bed inside. "Hello, we're here with your new bed," one of them said.

You stepped aside, allowing them to come in. They started carrying the bed frame and mattress into the master bedroom. You couldn't help but watch them as they worked, efficiently unpacking and assembling the bed. The room was starting to feel more like home with each piece that was placed in its rightful spot.

While the movers worked, you walked around, keeping an eye on the placement of things. The bed was a beautiful addition, and you couldn't wait to finally have everything in place. You'd been waiting for this moment to bring the room together, and it was finally happening.

Once the bed was set up, the movers adjusted the frame and helped arrange the pillows and blankets you had set aside for the room. Everything looked perfect, exactly as you had envisioned it.

After they finished, one of the movers asked, "Is there anything else we can do for you?"

You smiled and shook your head. "No, this looks great. Thank you so much."

The movers nodded and began gathering their tools, getting ready to leave. As they walked out, you stood in the doorway, taking in the sight of the newly set-up master bedroom. It was a feeling of accomplishment, and you were more excited than ever to start this new chapter with Jungkook.

You pulled out your phone to message Jungkook about the bed's arrival. As you did, you couldn't help but imagine the future—this was just the beginning. You couldn't wait for him to come home and see everything finished.

You took a moment to step back and admire the progress, even if it was only small. The house, while still in the process of coming together, was starting to feel like home. The living room, though not completely finished, already had a cozy vibe with the new couch and blankets scattered across it. The master bedroom, with its brand new bed, was finally a place where you could see yourself relaxing and resting, especially now that the delivery was done.

It wasn't perfect yet, but you could see the potential. It was coming together little by little, and that was enough for now. You were grateful for the space, for the comfort, and most of all, for the feeling of stability it gave you, especially with the baby on the way.

As you moved around the house, checking things here and there, you felt a sense of calm. It wasn't overwhelming, not like you feared it would be. The process of settling in felt natural, even if the bigger things still had to be sorted out.

You smiled to yourself, thinking about Jungkook and how he'd react when he came home to see the progress. You couldn't wait to share it all with him. The house, the baby, everything was starting to take shape, and you were ready to face the next step together.

You all walked into the new kitchen, and the sight of it took your breath away. The design was sleek and modern, the countertops gleaming under the bright lights. The cabinets were perfectly arranged, the spacious layout giving the room a clean and open feel. It was exactly what you had envisioned—a space that would make cooking and spending time together even more special.

However, as you looked around, you quickly realized the glaring problem. There were no kitchen supplies—no pots, pans, or utensils. It was beautiful, but it felt empty, like a blank canvas waiting for life to be added.

You turned to Mina and Yoongi, laughing softly at the situation. "Well, at least we have a great kitchen, just need to fill it with the essentials now."

Mina grinned, "We'll have to go shopping again for everything, won't we?" She looked at you with an excited sparkle in her eyes, ready for another adventure.

Yoongi nodded, "Looks like it. But hey, it's a start, right?"

You smiled, feeling a bit overwhelmed but also grateful for the space. "It's definitely a start. I can't wait to fill it up."

The thought of starting fresh in this beautiful, fully customized kitchen made you feel even more at home, and with the baby on the way, it would be the perfect place to create memories, cook together, and spend time as a family. It wasn't just about the kitchen supplies—it was about making this place truly yours.

You looked around the kitchen, laughing nervously. "Well, since there's nothing to cook with in here, how about we just get takeout instead?"

Mina grinned, "I'm always down for takeout, you know that."

Yoongi raised an eyebrow, but he didn't argue. "Sure, as long as it's not pizza. I've had enough of that recently."

You playfully rolled your eyes, "Fine, no pizza. What do you want then?"

Mina perked up, "Ooh, sushi sounds amazing. How about that?"

Yoongi made a face, but then shrugged. "Alright, I can deal with sushi. But only if there's miso soup."

You chuckled, "Deal. I'll order now."

As you pulled out your phone to place the order, you couldn't help but feel grateful for the company. Even though everything felt new and overwhelming, moments like these made it all feel worth it.

Mina's eyes sparkled as she turned to you, her voice full of excitement. "You know, you could always hire a designer to help with the house stuff. That way, you can focus on the baby shower without stressing over every little detail."

You raised an eyebrow, considering the idea. "Hmm, that's actually a good idea. I've been running around like crazy trying to do it all myself, and I'm getting so worn out."

Yoongi nodded in agreement, leaning back on the couch. "You definitely deserve to have some help, especially with everything going on. And it'll take a huge load off your shoulders. Let someone else handle the heavy lifting, literally."

You bit your lip, still unsure. "But... it's Jungkook's money, and I don't want him to think I'm overdoing it."

Mina rolled her eyes, a teasing smile on her lips. "Girl, you're carrying his child! Let him spoil you a little. Plus, I'm sure he'd love for you to have a stress-free pregnancy and enjoy the fun parts—like the baby shower."

Her words made you pause, a small smile tugging at your lips. "You know, you're right. Maybe I've been a little stubborn about it."

"Exactly," Mina said, beaming. "You're already doing so much. Let someone else take care of the details for once."

You took a deep breath and nodded, feeling a weight lift off your chest. "Okay, I'll think about it. I'll talk to Jungkook and see if we can find someone."

Yoongi grinned, "See? No more stress. And when the baby shower comes around, you can just focus on enjoying it."

You couldn't help but smile, feeling grateful for your friends. It was time to let go of the pressure and let things fall into place. The future was looking brighter, and you were ready to enjoy it.

As the food arrived, the conversation naturally shifted back to the house and the baby shower. The group dug into the takeout, each of you talking excitedly about the plans for the future.

"So, what do you think about the design for the nursery?" Mina asked, taking a bite of her food. "You said you wanted it to be neutral, but do you think we should add some color in there too?"

You glanced over at Jungkook, who had been quiet, his attention split between the food and the conversation. "I was thinking a mix of soft grays and whites, maybe with some muted tones for the accent pieces," you replied. "I'm still not sure about a theme yet though."

"I love the idea of the nursery being calming and simple," Yoongi chimed in. "But I think some color would make it feel more vibrant, you know? A touch of blue or even some pastel yellows or greens could work well."

"Yeah, I think so too," Mina agreed, her eyes brightening at the idea. "And for the baby shower, we could match the colors for the decor. It could all tie together perfectly."

You nodded, feeling more excited now. "I love that idea. I want it to feel personal, but I also don't want it to be too much, you know?"

Jungkook finally spoke up, looking over at you with a grin. "Whatever you decide, I'm happy. It's your day. I'm just here for the food and the fun part."

You laughed, grateful for how easygoing he was with everything. "You're the best."

"So, for the house," Mina continued, setting down her chopsticks, "Have you decided what you want to do with the garden yet? Maybe a little play area for the baby?"

You looked at her thoughtfully. "Yeah, that's definitely something I want to work on. A small garden, maybe even a little playground. Something simple but fun."

Jungkook leaned back in his chair, clearly lost in thought. "I like the idea of a swing set. It could be cool if we put a little sandbox too. I remember how much I loved playing in the sandbox when I was little."

You smiled at him. "That sounds perfect. I can't wait to see it all come together."

As you all continued talking about the house and the baby shower, the excitement for the future grew, and you felt more and more at ease knowing everything was slowly falling into place. It wasn't going to be easy, but with friends like these, and Jungkook by your side, you knew it would be worth it.

You sat back, leaning into the softness of the new couch, your stomach still full from the takeout. Mina and Yoongi were chatting, but your mind kept drifting back to the house. You had spent hours searching for a designer to help with the final touches, but everything seemed to fall flat. None of the people you found felt right, and you were starting to feel the pressure.

You glanced at your phone, hesitating for a moment. You hadn't really thought about reaching out to him for this kind of thing, but it felt like the only option left.

You quickly typed out a message to Jungkook:

"Hey, I've been looking for a designer to help finish the house, but I haven't had much luck. I know you're busy, but if you have any recommendations or could help me with this, I'd really appreciate it. I'm getting a bit stressed."

You hit send before you could second-guess yourself, hoping he wouldn't think you were overloading him with your worries. You knew he had a lot on his plate with training and everything else, but you couldn't help it. You needed some help, and Jungkook was always there for you when you needed him.

You sat back, waiting for his response, feeling a little anxious but hopeful that he'd be able to guide you through this.

Jungkook, standing in the dressing room surrounded by the usual hustle and bustle of his team, finally looked down at his phone after a few minutes. The message from you caught his eye, and a smile spread across his face. He quickly typed out a thumbs-up emoji and sent it to you, making a mental note to make sure he helped out with the house as soon as he could.

Despite the busy day, he felt a wave of warmth seeing that you reached out to him. Jungkook knew that juggling everything could be tough, but he wanted to be there for you in every way possible. With the way you trusted him, he made a promise to himself that he'd help you with the house and make sure everything was perfect for the both of you.

He quickly slipped his phone back into his pocket, nodding to his manager who had been speaking to him. In the back of his mind, he was already planning when he'd have time to meet with designers and help you with the next steps.

He was excited, and that feeling lingered even through the chaos of his day.

Jungkook sat in the interview room, the bright lights casting a soft glow around him. His manager was giving him the usual briefing, but his mind was elsewhere. He couldn't stop thinking about you—how you were probably at home, working on the house, handling everything while he was stuck in this endless loop of interviews and promotional work. He missed you.

Even though he loved what he did, there were moments when it felt like the weight of the world was on his shoulders. Today, as he sat in front of the camera, answering questions with his usual charm, all he could think about was the things that mattered more—being with you, helping with the baby, and making sure the new house was a place where you both could feel at peace.

He could hear his manager in the background, urging him to focus, and Jungkook tried to snap back into the moment. He knew this was the life he chose, the one that gave him the ability to provide, but sometimes, it felt like a distant second to the life he wanted to build with you.

As the interview continued, he pushed aside the feeling of missing you, telling himself that it was all worth it in the end. He just needed to get through today, and then he'd be back by your side, helping with the house and planning for the baby.

The interviewer leaned forward, a mischievous glint in their eye. "You have a busy life, Jungkook, but what the fans really want to know is... your relationship status?"

Jungkook paused, his eyes flickering for a moment before he leaned back in his chair, a confident yet playful smirk spreading across his face. He had anticipated this question; it always seemed to come up, no matter how much he tried to keep his personal life out of the limelight.

"I guess," he said, his voice calm and steady, "people are always curious. But as I said before, I like to keep my business private." He gave a nonchalant shrug, as if to signal that the matter was closed.

The chat room erupted with even more frenzy, fans typing in all caps, begging for just a hint of an answer. "Tell us, Jungkook!" "Are you in a relationship?!" The flood of comments filled the screen, many heartbroken that he wasn't revealing anything concrete.

Jungkook chuckled softly, leaning in a little as if to indulge them but still keeping his guard up. "I'm happy, that's all I'll say," he replied, his eyes briefly glancing at the camera, making it clear that he was done answering the question.

The interviewer, sensing it was a lost cause, quickly moved on, though there was an air of curiosity that still lingered. As the questions continued, Jungkook's mind wandered, a small, private smile tugging at his lips. He had nothing more to add about his relationship. After all, the person who truly mattered already knew everything.

As you sat on the couch, phone in hand, you scrolled through the live stream of Jungkook's interview. You were curious to see how he was doing, but as soon as the relationship question came up, you couldn't help but roll your eyes. The fans were going wild, typing a thousand comments a minute, all desperate to know more about his personal life.

"Ugh, they can't take a hint," you muttered under your breath, watching as the fans flooded the chat, begging for just a little piece of gossip. Jungkook's calm and collected answer only made it worse—his smirk and playful tone clearly just feeding the frenzy even more.

You shook your head, feeling a small, amused grin creep onto your face as the fans continued their desperate pleas for answers. "Like he's ever gonna tell them," you chuckled to yourself.

Although you were kind of used to it by now, seeing him remain so calm and private about it all still made you smile. You could almost hear his voice in your head, "I like to keep my business private." You couldn't help but admire his ability to stay so composed while all this was going on.

The fans were probably picturing all sorts of things, imagining stories or imagining some grand romantic reveal. Meanwhile, you knew the real story—and that was enough for you.

You leaned back into the couch, setting your phone down as you relaxed, feeling a little more at ease knowing Jungkook was still keeping the most important details between the two of you.

You leaned back into the couch, your fingers idly playing with the hem of your shirt as you thought about how different your life had become since you started dating Jungkook. You'd always been a private person, someone who valued their peace and quiet, away from the spotlight.

But now, watching the fans obsess over every little detail of his life, it made you realize how much you didn't want to be in the limelight. The constant pressure, the constant need for validation from strangers—it wasn't your thing. You never imagined you'd have to share your life with the world, especially your personal life. And yet, here you were, sometimes glimpsing just how invasive it could feel.

It wasn't that you minded Jungkook's fame. You were proud of him, and you understood the sacrifices he made for his career. But the thought of constantly being in the public eye? That was something you definitely weren't ready for. You liked your space, your privacy. You liked being able to have moments to yourselves, without worrying about what everyone else thought or what they expected from you.

You thought about how it had been before—just the two of you, hanging out in quiet places, no cameras, no distractions. That was the life you preferred, and you'd have to get used to finding a balance.

Sighing softly, you smiled a little. Jungkook had always been protective of you, keeping things as private as possible when it came to the two of you. That meant the world to you. Even if his life was under constant scrutiny, you knew he was doing his best to shield you from it, and you were thankful for that.

But you also knew that, as his life only grew more public, you'd need to learn how to navigate it. Maybe it would be a struggle, but as long as you had him by your side, you figured you could make it work. Still, you couldn't help but think that being out of the spotlight suited you just fine.

You felt a wave of curiosity wash over you as you scrolled through more videos of Jungkook. You hadn't really seen much about his past relationships, but today, for some reason, you found yourself wondering about it. As you clicked on a video titled "Jungkook talks about his past relationship," you couldn't help but feel a little anxious, unsure of what you'd find.

The video started with Jungkook sitting comfortably, his usual relaxed demeanor present as he smiled softly while answering the interviewer's question about his past.

"I think everyone has that one person, you know? The one who teaches you something important about life," he said, his eyes light, as though remembering something fondly. "I was young, and I learned a lot from that relationship. It wasn't perfect, but it made me who I am today."

You couldn't help but watch, intrigued by the way he spoke about it, almost nostalgic. He spoke openly about how the relationship shaped his perspective on love and life, and how it helped him understand himself better, even though it had ended. He sounded happy, peaceful, as if looking back on those memories didn't hurt him anymore.

"Sometimes," he continued, "we look at what we have and we don't realize how much we've grown from what we've lost."

You paused the video, a little lost in your thoughts. It felt like he was really opening up about a part of his life that had been closed off before. But you also realized something in that moment: despite how happy he looked talking about his past, there was something different about the way he spoke about it now compared to the way he spoke about you. When he talked about you, it was with a tenderness, a warmth that radiated even through a screen.

You couldn't help but feel a little relieved. It was clear that his past relationships had been a part of his journey, but you were now the one sharing his present and future. You smiled to yourself, feeling a little reassured. Jungkook had grown, and so had you. What mattered now was the life you were building together.

But for a moment, you couldn't help but wonder: Was he really this happy with you? And then you laughed at yourself, feeling silly for doubting it. Of course, he was. He always made sure you felt it.

You couldn't help but feel a little curious as you scrolled through more of Jungkook's past. The more you watched, the more you found yourself learning about his past, including his ex-girlfriend. You weren't sure why, but you just kept going, feeling a strange mix of curiosity and insecurity gnawing at you.

Then, you came across a video with a headline about his ex-girlfriend. It was an interview from a few years ago, and there, in the thumbnail, was a familiar face—a model. You clicked on the video, watching as Jungkook mentioned her casually in the interview, speaking about the good times they'd shared, though it was clear their relationship had ended amicably.

Your heart did a little flip. The model was stunning—tall, graceful, with the kind of beauty that could stop anyone in their tracks. A part of you felt insecure, not because of the model herself, but because of what she represented. Jungkook had been with someone so beautiful, someone who seemed perfect for him in the public's eyes.

You leaned back in your chair, unsure of how you felt about it. Was it normal to feel a little intimidated? Was this something everyone in a relationship goes through? You couldn't help but think about how much of an average person you felt compared to her, despite Jungkook's affection for you.

But then you remembered: Jungkook chose you. He chose you. You weren't sure when you'd stopped being so insecure, but in this moment, you realized that the past was just that—the past. Jungkook wasn't with her anymore. He was with you. And that's what truly mattered.

Shaking your head to clear the thoughts away, you smiled to yourself. It was easy to get caught up in things like appearances and comparisons, but Jungkook had never made you feel anything less than loved and appreciated. You were different, and that was enough.

As you scrolled through her Instagram, you couldn't deny it—she was stunning. Every picture seemed flawless, with her perfect features and effortless beauty. Her life seemed glamorous, filled with photoshoots, luxury vacations, and countless admirers. You couldn't help but feel a wave of self-doubt wash over you.

Is that why Jungkook loved her? Was it her beauty? Was I ever good enough?

The more you looked at her photos, the more insecure you started to feel. It was hard not to compare yourself to someone so put together, so polished. Your mind started to spiral, thinking about how different you were from her—how much more ordinary you felt.

You suddenly snapped out of it, closing the app and letting out a frustrated sigh. What am I doing? You thought. Why am I even comparing myself to her?

It was clear that Jungkook had moved on from that part of his life. He was with you now. And sure, maybe she was beautiful, but so were you—in your own way. You had your own qualities that made you who you were, and Jungkook had chosen you.

Still, the feeling lingered, a reminder of your insecurities. You knew you needed to talk to him, to remind yourself that he loved you for who you were, not who you weren't.

As you looked at your phone, your mind couldn't help but keep going down that rabbit hole. You found old pictures of Jungkook and his ex-girlfriend, some shared moments on vacations, smiling in the same frame, looking so happy together. Each picture seemed to tell a story, their closeness so evident. It felt like you were intruding on something that wasn't yours, but the temptation was overwhelming.

You stumbled upon old interviews and even a few videos of them together—Jungkook's voice in one clip, his words warm and loving as he talked about her. It was hard not to feel like a shadow, like you couldn't measure up.

The worst part was seeing how much he smiled with her. It felt like a gut punch, even though you knew that was his past.

You shook your head, trying to clear the thoughts. Stop. This doesn't matter anymore. But the doubts crept in again.

Am I enough for him?

You had everything with Jungkook now—the relationship, the baby, the house. But seeing those old memories, you couldn't help but feel insecure. She was part of his past, and no matter how much you loved him, the thought lingered that maybe, just maybe, she had been the one he was always meant to be with.

No. Stop. You told yourself. You're here now. He's with you. He chose you.

You put the phone down with a sigh, closing your eyes to stop yourself from spiraling further. Jungkook had shown you nothing but love. It wasn't worth questioning anymore.

You took a deep breath, trying to shake off the unsettling feelings. You weren't the jealous type, not at all. But the pregnancy hormones were definitely messing with your emotions, making everything feel so much more intense than usual. It was frustrating, and you just needed to clear your head.

Leaving your phone on the counter, you stood up, moving to the bathroom. The sound of water running as you stepped into the shower was a relief, its warmth helping you calm down. You closed your eyes, letting the steam envelop you as the water washed away the tension from your shoulders.

It was just the hormones, you told yourself again. You knew Jungkook loved you, that he was there for you. Everything else—his past, the fans, the pictures—didn't matter.

With a deep breath, you let the water take it all away, deciding to not let those thoughts linger any longer. You had enough on your plate with the baby, the house, and everything else. The past was the past. What mattered was the future. And you had a lot to look forward to with Jungkook by your side.

Jungkook walked into the house, the quietness greeting him as soon as he stepped through the door. He set his things down, hearing the sound of the shower running in the distance. A small smile tugged at his lips as he thought about you—about the life you two were building together.

As he walked further into the living room, he noticed your phone lying on the couch. Curiosity got the better of him, and he picked it up, his fingers brushing over the screen. His eyes immediately landed on the lock screen—an ultrasound picture of the baby. He couldn't help but smile wider, pride swelling in his chest. The little life inside you was real, and it made everything feel more real too.

He didn't look through your messages or anything else, just admiring the photo. His heart swelled with love for you and the baby.

Jungkook's thumb hovered over the phone screen, then, with a little hesitation, he unlocked it. The phone lit up, and the first thing that caught his attention was a message from Mina. He opened it, expecting to see something about the baby shower or your plans for the house, but what he saw next surprised him.

It was a series of search results, all about him—his ex-girlfriend, old pictures, and interviews. His heart skipped a beat. He had always known that his past would be something people would talk about, but seeing you search through it, especially when it seemed like you were looking for comparison between him and her, hit him harder than he expected.

Jungkook immediately felt a lump form in his throat. He didn't want you to feel insecure or worried about his past. That part of his life was just that—the past. He'd moved on. And he was with you now, building a future with you and the baby. But he couldn't ignore the nagging feeling that maybe you were feeling something deeper than just curiosity.

He closed the message quickly, not wanting to pry further, but a mix of emotions flooded him.

You stepped out of the shower, still feeling the warm water on your skin, and saw Jungkook standing there, acting like everything was fine. The fact that he hadn't said anything made you raise an eyebrow in curiosity.

"Did you just get back?" you asked, wrapping the towel tighter around you. You couldn't help but notice how he seemed to be deep in thought, his expression a bit off. Normally, he would have greeted you with his usual playful smile or would have made a joke, but today it felt different.

Jungkook looked at you for a moment before nodding, trying to keep his expression neutral. He didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable or self-conscious. He had seen your search history, but he wasn't sure how to bring it up without making things awkward.

"Yeah, I just got back," he replied casually, though his voice was quieter than usual. He glanced over at your phone still lying on the couch, wondering if you'd bring it up.

You noticed the way his eyes flicked toward the phone and then back to you, but you didn't say anything at first. You figured he was just tired after a long day.

"Is everything okay?" you asked, genuinely concerned. You felt a small knot form in your stomach, not sure what was going on, but something seemed off. You didn't want to press him if he wasn't ready to talk, but you were starting to feel the weight of the silence between you two so you walk away as he replied with a simple yes.

As you were brushing your hair, you felt a pair of strong arms suddenly wrap around you, pulling you into a warm embrace from behind. The surprise caused you to freeze for a moment before you turned your head slightly to see Jungkook, his chin resting gently on your shoulder.

"Jungkook, what are you doing?" you asked, a mix of confusion and curiosity in your voice as you tried to turn to face him.

He didn't immediately answer, instead, taking in a deep breath as he inhaled your scent. The way he held you, like he never wanted to let go, made you feel both safe and loved all at once. After a few seconds, he finally spoke, his voice low and sincere.

"I'm just... taking in the moment," he said softly, his breath warm against your skin. "Because I love you. And sometimes, I just need to remind myself that you're here, with me."

His words made your heart flutter. You felt his arms tighten a little around you, his warmth enveloping you, and for a moment, all the outside worries seemed to disappear.

"You don't need to keep reminding me," you said softly, turning your head slightly to look at him. "I know. I love you too."

Jungkook smiled gently, pressing a kiss to the side of your neck before pulling back just enough to look into your eyes. His gaze was soft, yet filled with so much affection.

"I just can't help it," he admitted, his voice barely a whisper. "I want to keep you close. Always."

You smiled, feeling your chest warm at his words, before resting your head back against him. "I'm not going anywhere, Jungkook. I'm right here."

He nodded, his arms still securely around you as if he never wanted to let go. "I know. I'm just... grateful," he murmured.

You couldn't help but laugh softly, the moment feeling so peaceful and right. "Well, I'm glad you're happy. But I still need to finish getting ready."

Reluctantly, Jungkook pulled back, but he kept his hands on your shoulders, his eyes still focused on you. "Take your time," he said, smiling. "I'm not going anywhere."

With that, you returned to finishing up, knowing, deep down, that no matter what, Jungkook would always be there.

As you both lay in bed, Jungkook's hand was gently caressing your stomach, a gesture you had grown used to but today felt different. His touch was tender, almost reverent, and there was a quiet intensity in his gaze that made you pause.

You glanced at him, a little confused. "You know you're beautiful," he said softly, his words filled with sincerity, but there was something in his tone that made you wonder if there was more to it.

He wasn't usually this clingy, especially not with such deep, thoughtful words. He had always been affectionate, but tonight felt different.

"Why are you saying that?" you asked, your voice a mix of curiosity and concern.

Jungkook hesitated for a moment, his eyes softening as he looked at you. "I just... I don't know. Maybe it's because you're carrying our baby, and it's just... it's a lot to take in. You're so strong, and I just feel like I can't say enough how lucky I am. You're beautiful, inside and out."

His words were genuine, and even though you could tell he was trying to express something deeper, his usual playful nature seemed to be replaced by a rare vulnerability.

"Are you okay?" you asked, your voice quiet, the concern for him creeping into your words.

He nodded, but his hand stayed firmly on your stomach. "Yeah. I just... I don't know. I've been thinking a lot, and I just want to make sure you know how much I appreciate everything you're doing."

It hit you then—he was feeling the weight of everything, too. The change, the pregnancy, the future. His clinginess wasn't about being possessive, it was about needing reassurance, just as much as you did.

"I know, Jungkook," you whispered, reaching up to gently caress his cheek. "And I appreciate you more than you know."

He smiled softly, pressing his forehead against yours, and for a moment, everything felt still. There was no rush, no pressure—just the two of you, together, navigating this new chapter in life.

Jungkook lay next to you, watching you peacefully sleep, your chest rising and falling with each breath. His mind kept drifting back to what he had seen earlier on your phone—your searches, the pictures of his ex-girlfriend, and the curiosity that seemed to overwhelm you. He knew he shouldn't, but a part of him couldn't help but wonder what was going on in your mind. Why had you been looking into her? Was there something bothering you?

He sighed quietly, feeling guilty for even thinking about going through your phone, but the nagging feeling wouldn't leave him. He needed to understand, even if he didn't like the idea of invading your privacy.

As he waited for you to fall deeper into sleep, he slowly reached for your phone on the nightstand. His fingers trembled slightly, but he pushed the thought of betrayal aside, telling himself he just needed answers. He unlocked it, knowing your passcode, and immediately scrolled back to the search history.

What he saw confirmed his suspicions. Your curiosity had led you to his past, and there were pictures of her—the woman he had once loved. He saw the old photos of them together, her flawless beauty, the life they had shared before everything changed.

He didn't know how to feel. Part of him understood—he couldn't expect you to just move forward without any questions. But another part of him felt a pang of guilt. He hadn't realized that his past could affect you this much.

He sat there for a while, staring at the screen, unsure of what to do next. He didn't want to hurt you, but he couldn't ignore the fact that you might be feeling insecure or uncertain about his past.

After a few moments, he carefully placed the phone back on the nightstand, his heart heavy. He wouldn't bring it up tonight, not while you were so peacefully asleep.

Jungkook lay still for a moment, his arms wrapped around you as he thought back to when everything between you two had started. He remembered the conversation after Yoongi's party—the way he had admitted that his past relationship wasn't a secret. He told you about her freely, and it had been an open topic between the two of you.

It wasn't like you hadn't known. You knew about her, his past, the good and the bad. It was something you had accepted, and for a long time, it didn't bother you. But tonight, after seeing you so curious, so drawn into his past again, he couldn't help but feel a little off. He had always been upfront about her, but the fact that you were looking up her pictures and old memories stirred something inside of him.

He knew you weren't trying to dig at him—he understood that it was just natural curiosity. You had never been the type to feel insecure about his past, but now, lying next to him, he couldn't help but wonder if something had shifted. Was this pregnancy, with all the emotional ups and downs, causing you to question things more than usual?

He sighed, pushing the thoughts out of his mind. You'd both been through so much already, and he wasn't about to let this little blip affect the bond he was so sure of. He didn't want to make you feel bad or like he was accusing you of anything. Instead, he just wanted to remind you that you were who mattered now, not his ex, not his past.

As you slept peacefully beside him, he gently pressed a soft kiss to your forehead, his heart swelling.

He could feel the weight of his own past slowly fading away as he wrapped his arms tighter around you. You were carrying his child now, and that was all that truly mattered.

But he knew there'd be a conversation ahead, one where he'd reassure you that his love for you was real, and his future was with you, not anyone else. For now, he just held you closer, trying to calm his restless mind.

The morning light streamed through the curtains, but the room felt unusually quiet. Jungkook was already getting ready for his early departure, but something about the way he was moving felt off. It was as though his mind wasn't entirely here, even though his body was. He was distracted, moving in and out of the room, his movements slower than usual.

You watched him for a moment, noticing how he was staring off into space as he grabbed his jacket. He seemed lost in thought, his usually confident demeanor replaced by something that seemed more pensive.

"Jungkook?" you called softly, not wanting to interrupt his flow, but your curiosity tugging at you.

He blinked, as if snapping out of it. "Yeah?" he replied, his voice slightly distant.

"Everything okay?" you asked, not wanting to push too much but needing to make sure everything was alright.

Jungkook hesitated for a moment before nodding, offering a reassuring smile. "Yeah, just... got a lot on my mind. I'll be fine," he said, but the tightness in his jaw betrayed him.

You weren't convinced. There was something there, something unspoken. But you didn't want to push him too hard—especially not today. You knew he had a busy day ahead with his training and the promotions, and it was clear he had a lot on his plate.

He walked over to you, dropping a gentle kiss on your forehead before heading for the door. "I'll see you later. Take care of yourself today, okay?"

You nodded, though you couldn't shake the feeling that something was bothering him.

As he left, you sat there for a moment, trying to shake off the uneasy feeling in your chest. Was it the pregnancy hormones? Or was it more than that?

Whatever it was, you decided you wouldn't dwell on it too much today. You had enough to focus on, like preparing for the baby shower and making the new house truly feel like home. But a part of you couldn't help but wonder when the right time would come to talk to him about everything, about what was on his mind and the strange distance you'd been sensing lately.

As you were sitting in the living room, trying to organize some things for the baby shower, your phone buzzed with a message from Jungkook.

"Hey, I remembered! I'll make those calls about the house designer today, don't worry about it."

You couldn't help but smile a little at his message. Even though he was busy, he always tried to take some of the weight off your shoulders. It made you feel supported, especially when things were a little chaotic with the house and everything else going on.

You quickly typed back, "Thank you, I appreciate it. I know you've got a lot going on, so that means a lot to me."

A few moments later, he replied with a quick thumbs-up emoji, followed by a message: "Anything for you. I'll let you know how it goes."

You felt a sense of relief knowing he was taking care of it. It wasn't like you couldn't handle it yourself, but it was comforting to know that he was involved, even if he was juggling everything else.

You placed your phone down, letting out a small breath of relief. The tension from earlier seemed to lift just a little, knowing Jungkook was handling things on his end. You could focus on the baby shower and the house, while he took care of the design side of things.

Still, the sense that something was off lingered in the back of your mind. But for now, you tried to push it aside, focusing on what you could do.

You spent the morning sipping on your coffee, making a list of things you'd need for the baby shower. Your mind buzzed with excitement as you imagined how everything would come together, from the decorations to the little details that would make the day special. You wanted it to be perfect, a memorable moment for you, Jungkook, and everyone who'd come to celebrate the new chapter of your life.

After sending Jungkook a quick message to let him know you were heading out, you grabbed your purse and started getting ready for the day. It was time to get things moving, and you were determined to make sure everything would go smoothly.

You arrived at a party supply store and walked down aisles filled with balloons, banners, and decorations. There was so much to choose from, but you already had an idea of the color scheme you wanted. Soft pastels, light blues and pinks, with a hint of gold to make it elegant. You also wanted to make sure it felt intimate, cozy, but still fun for everyone involved.

As you were checking out some decorations, your phone buzzed. It was Jungkook.

"Got a designer lined up. I'll have them look at the space later this week."

You couldn't help but smile. He was taking charge and getting things done, even when you felt like you were drowning in choices. You quickly texted back, "You're amazing. Thank you."

Once you finished in the store, you drove to a couple more spots, picking up some sweet treats, balloons, and party favors. The whole time, you felt a mix of excitement and nerves. Everything had to be just right. You were preparing for your baby's arrival, but this was also about celebrating the future with those who mattered most to you.

Later in the afternoon, you returned home with bags full of supplies, feeling accomplished yet a little exhausted. The baby shower was coming together nicely. You couldn't wait to see how everything would look once it all came together. But for now, you just hoped it would be everything you dreamed of.

The entire day had been slow, but you didn't mind. Wrapped in a cozy blanket, you scrolled through your phone, occasionally switching to whatever movie was playing in the background. A bowl of strawberries rested on your lap, and you were already down to your last few.

With each bite, you felt more relaxed, letting yourself enjoy the rare moment of peace. The house was quiet, aside from the soft hum of the TV. Jungkook was busy again today, and although you missed him, you were trying not to let it bother you.

Just as you popped the last strawberry into your mouth, you sighed, realizing you'd finished the pack. Great. Now what? You debated getting up and going out to buy more, but the thought of leaving the house felt exhausting.

You scrolled through your phone mindlessly, stopping when you saw a cute baby outfit online. Before you knew it, you were adding things to your cart, completely lost in a world of tiny clothes and nursery decorations.

Time passed, and you didn't even notice how dark it had gotten outside until your phone lit up with a message.

Jungkook: What are you doing?

You smirked, quickly typing back.

You: Being lazy and eating the last of my strawberries :(

Seconds later, another message popped up.

Jungkook: I'll bring you more when I get home.

Your heart warmed at that, making you smile. Even with his busy schedule, he still thought about the little things. You stretched, finally deciding to move from your spot on the couch. Maybe you'd clean up a little before he got back. Or maybe you'd just lay back down and start another movie.

Yeah... that sounded better.

As you lay there, your hand absentmindedly rested on your growing belly. The thought crept in slowly, uninvited but persistent. What if I never lose all this weight? You knew pregnancy changed bodies, and you weren't naive enough to think you'd snap back instantly. But the more you thought about it, the more insecure you felt.

Jungkook's ex had been stunning—slim, toned, effortlessly beautiful. It wasn't that you wanted to compare yourself to her, but after spending the night scrolling through pictures of them together, it was hard not to.

What if he loses interest?

You tried to shake the thought away, but it lingered. Jungkook had never given you a reason to doubt him, but that little voice in your head kept whispering. What if, deep down, he missed having someone who looked like her?

You sighed, shifting on the couch. Maybe you were just overthinking. Maybe it was the pregnancy hormones messing with your head. But no matter how much you tried to brush it off, the worry still sat heavy in your chest.

You groan, rubbing your face in frustration. What the hell is wrong with me? You've never been the type to care so much about this stuff—at least, that's what you thought. But now, here you were, spiraling over something that shouldn't even matter.

Maybe it was the pregnancy hormones. Maybe it was seeing Jungkook's ex and realizing just how different you looked compared to her. Maybe it was the fact that your body was changing in ways you couldn't control.

You hated how insecure you sounded, how you even felt. It wasn't you. At least, it never used to be. But now? Now you weren't so sure.

You let out another frustrated sigh, staring at the ceiling. Is this really how I feel?

You scroll through your Instagram highlights, watching old clips of yourself—nights out with Mina, vacations, random mirror selfies where you actually put effort into your appearance. Your body was different back then, more toned, more... you.

Now, everything was changing. Your stomach was rounder, your face looked a little fuller, and the idea of getting dressed up just to go out seemed exhausting. Would you ever go back to that version of yourself? Or was this just the beginning of a completely new you?

You sigh, setting your phone down. It's not that you regret anything—how could you? You're literally growing a whole human. But a part of you wonders if you'll ever feel like yourself again.

Lost in your thoughts, you barely notice the sound of the door opening until Jungkook steps inside, holding a bouquet of white flowers. Your eyes widen in surprise, and a smile tugs at your lips as you push yourself up from the couch.

"You got me flowers?" you ask, walking over to him.

Jungkook simply nods, handing them to you before you can even question it further. You take them in your hands, admiring the soft petals and their fresh scent before looking up at him.

"Why?" you ask softly, tilting your head.

He stares at you for a moment, his gaze warm yet unreadable, then finally says, "To remind you how lucky I am... and how beautiful you are."

Your breath catches slightly at his words. Maybe it's the hormones, maybe it's just him, but something about the way he says it makes your heart squeeze in your chest.

You set the flowers down on the counter before reaching up to kiss him, your lips lingering on his as you mumble, "You're too sweet sometimes, you know that?"

Jungkook smirks, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you close. "Only for you."

As Jungkook holds you close, you can't shake the feeling that something is off. He's been acting different since last night—more affectionate, sure, but also more... distant, like something is on his mind.

You pull back slightly, looking up at him with narrowed eyes. "Okay, what's going on with you?"

Jungkook blinks, feigning innocence. "What do you mean?"

"You've been acting weird since last night. I know you, Jungkook." You cross your arms, watching him carefully. "Is something bothering you?"

He hesitates for a moment, running a hand through his hair. "It's nothing."

You give him a look. "Liar."

Jungkook exhales through his nose, his jaw clenching slightly. He clearly wasn't expecting you to call him out, but there's no way you're letting this go.

"Seriously, just tell me," you say, voice softer now. "Is it work? Are you stressed?"

He shakes his head, lips pressed together. Then, after a pause, he finally mutters, "I saw your phone last night."

Your stomach drops. "What?"

Jungkook sighs, rubbing the back of his neck. "You were looking up my ex. Searching for old pictures of us." His eyes flicker to yours. "Why?"

Your mouth opens, then closes. You feel caught—exposed. Embarrassment creeps in, your hands gripping the edge of the counter as you try to come up with something to say.

You take a deep breath, trying to gather your thoughts before speaking. "I was just curious," you admit, your voice quieter than usual. "I mean, you told me about her before, but I guess... I just wanted to see for myself."

Jungkook's expression remains unreadable as he listens, his arms now crossed over his chest.

"You guys were together for a long time," you continue, glancing down at the flowers he brought you. "And from what I've seen... maybe even longer than you originally told me."

Jungkook's jaw clenches slightly. He exhales through his nose before stepping closer to you. "What does it matter?" he asks, his voice softer now, but there's an edge to it. "That was my past, Y/n. You're my present. You're my future."

You nod, still avoiding his gaze. "I know that," you murmur. "But..." You hesitate, feeling ridiculous for even saying it. "She's... beautiful. And she's—she's the type of person I'd expect someone like you to be with."

Jungkook's brows furrow, confusion flashing across his face. "Someone like me?"

"You know what I mean," you sigh. "She's tall, model-like, perfect. And me?" You gesture down at yourself. "I'm sitting here, pregnant, emotional, and stuffing my face with strawberries all day."

Jungkook lets out a breath before stepping even closer, tilting your chin up so you have no choice but to look at him. "Y/n, you're having my baby. You think I care about any of that?" His thumb strokes over your cheek, his eyes softening. "You're beautiful. You always have been, and you always will be."

You swallow hard, feeling your chest tighten. "It just... it got to me, I guess. Seeing the pictures, the way you looked at her—"

Jungkook cuts you off with a firm shake of his head. "And now look at how I look at you," he says, his voice steady. "I love you, Y/n. You. Not my past, not anyone else. You're carrying our baby, we're building a life together. That's all that matters."

You take a shaky breath, nodding slightly as he pulls you into his chest, wrapping his arms around you. You feel his heartbeat against your ear, steady and strong.

"I don't ever want you doubting yourself like this again," Jungkook murmurs into your hair. "Especially not over something that doesn't matter anymore."

You nod against him, closing your eyes as you hold him tighter. Maybe you let your thoughts get the best of you. Maybe it was just the hormones. But right now, wrapped in Jungkook's arms, you feel reassured—safe.

You hesitate for a moment, debating whether or not you should ask. But the curiosity gnaws at you, and before you can stop yourself, the words slip out.

"I, uh... I saw something last night," you mumble, your fingers lightly gripping the fabric of Jungkook's hoodie. "An article. It said you were back with her a year ago."

Jungkook stiffens. It's subtle, but you feel it—the way his arms around you tense for just a second before he quickly masks it. He pulls back slightly, eyes searching yours as if trying to gauge where this conversation is heading.

"I..." He exhales sharply, running a hand through his hair. "We met up a couple of times, yeah."

Your stomach drops.

"But," he quickly adds, "it wasn't like that. I—" He sighs, shaking his head. "I needed closure. Things between us never really ended properly, and it was messing with my head. So I met up with her to make sure we were truly done."

You stare at him, trying to process his words. "Closure?"

"Yeah," he nods. "We had history, Y/n. And for a long time, I thought maybe we'd find our way back to each other because that's just how it always was. But when we met up again... I realized it wasn't the same anymore. I didn't feel the same anymore."

Your heart pounds, unsure of what you want to feel. "Did you ever... you know... consider getting back with her?"

Jungkook's jaw tightens. "No," he says firmly. "It was never about that. And after those meetings, I made sure to cut ties completely. No lingering feelings, no what-ifs. Just done."

You swallow, your fingers fidgeting in your lap. "And if we never got together?" you ask quietly. "Would you have gone back?"

Jungkook leans forward, his hands framing your face so you're looking directly at him. "That doesn't matter," he says, his voice serious. "Because we did get together. And I wouldn't change that for anything."

You hold his gaze, searching for any sign of doubt, but all you find is sincerity. Still, the thought lingers in the back of your mind—if things had been just a little different, if timing had shifted even slightly... would he have chosen her instead?

Jungkook kisses your forehead, resting his against yours. "I love you," he whispers. "Only you."

You close your eyes, nodding as you try to push the thoughts away. You want to believe him. You do. But something about this still lingers in your chest, heavy and unsettling.

You decide to shift the conversation, not wanting to dwell on the thoughts circling your mind. As Jungkook helps you sit down, you glance up at him and ask, "How was your photoshoot?"

He groans dramatically, flopping onto the couch beside you. "Tiring," he mumbles, resting his head against the back of the couch. "So much standing, posing, changing outfits... and the stylists kept messing with my hair."

You chuckle softly, running your fingers through his slightly tousled locks. "Aww, poor baby," you tease.

Jungkook cracks an eye open to look at you, a lazy smirk tugging at his lips. "If you feel that bad for me, why don't you give me a massage?"

You roll your eyes playfully. "You just got home, and you're already making demands?"

He shifts, resting his head against your shoulder. "I worked hard today," he murmurs. "And I brought you flowers."

You laugh, nudging him slightly. "Fine, fine. But only for a little bit."

Jungkook hums in content, letting you run your hands over his shoulders, gently kneading out the tension. As he relaxes under your touch, you can't help but smile—despite everything weighing on your mind, moments like these made it all feel a little lighter.

As you continue massaging his shoulders, you smile to yourself before bringing up something that's been on your mind. "Oh! I'm actually really excited to start the pregnancy club," you say, your tone light and cheerful.

Jungkook, who had been melting under your touch, suddenly groans, tilting his head back dramatically. "Ugh, don't remind me," he mutters.

You laugh at his reaction, already expecting it. "Oh, come on, it's not that bad! You might actually learn something."

"I already know how to take care of you," he grumbles, peeking up at you. "And do I really need to sit in a room full of couples talking about pregnancy cravings and swollen feet?"

"Yes, you do," you say matter-of-factly. "Because you're a dad now, and being supportive includes going to these things with me."

Jungkook sighs, letting his head drop onto your lap. "I don't know how you convinced me to sign up."

You grin, running your fingers through his hair. "Because you love me."

He groans again but doesn't deny it. "If they start making us do trust falls or weird bonding exercises, I'm leaving."

You giggle, knowing he's being dramatic. "Deal. But at least come to one session. You might actually enjoy it."

Jungkook huffs, but there's a small smile on his lips. "Fine. But if they make me hold a fake baby, I'm walking out."
