Chapter 17

'Because there's nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline no matter how many times it is sent away.'

After Beam's call, Kit rushed to the door followed by Phana. Forth was so glad that Beam was okay but he didn't move from where he was sitting. He will wait until Beam is inside. Ming and Wayo was still sitting in the couch. They didn't want to crowd the entrance.

"Whoa." Beam said as he didn't expect to see Phana behind Kit when he opened the door.

"Where have you been idiot?!" Kit blurted out not even letting him enter the room first.

Beam's confused face was evident. He had no clue as to what is going on. "I went for a drive. Wait — why is Pha here? You having drinking session and didn't bother inviting me?!"

"Why is your phone turned off?! You got us worried dumbass!" Kit is overreacting again.

"Ai'Kit! I went out for a drive. What, i can't drive my own car now? And why are you scolding me here? Can't you let me in first?!" Beam quipped.

Kit and Pha stepped aside to let Beam in.

"Oh. And my phone died." He continued as he make his way to the room. "Again. Whoa." He said stopping midway as he saw the other three guys inside. His eyes landed on Forth. "What is happening guys? Wait. Why are you here?"

"We were damn worried about you." Phana answered flatly.

"Again. Why?" He doesn't get what's happening.

"Beam, we need to talk." Forth said as he stood up.

"But we don't have anything to talk about! Why are you —

"Don't sweat it Ai'Beam. You guys really need to talk!" Kit cut him off.

Forth was wearing his serious face. This is the first time Beam saw him not smiling at him.

"Just go talk to him Ai'Beam." Phana said while Kit, Ming and Wayo nodded in agreement. "Forth and I also have something to talk about later." He continued.

The two sophomore moons nodded at each other as they both agreed to continue their talk once he and Beam settled their feelings.

"Let's go to your room Ai'Beam." Forth grabbed Beam's hands and gently tugged him out of the room. Beam didn't protest as he was still unsure of what was happening before he arrived.

When Forth and Beam was out, Phana and Wayo also bid goodbye to Ming and Kit who was left in the room.

Beam opened his door with a still confused look on his face. Forth followed him inside and kept staring at him. He wasn't mad or pissed. He just stared at Beam with that gaze as if he haven't seen him for a very long time.

"So what do we need to talk about?" He was asking innocently as if he don't already know what they should be talking about.

"Why do you push me away and then look for me secretly?" Forth's eyes wasn't leaving his face.

"What? I didn't —

"I saw you earlier." Forth said flatly. "Don't deny that you also have feelings for me. What are you trying to do Beam?"

Keeping my distance. Because i know i can't have you.

He can't look at Forth now. He can't even answer him.

"Beam." He won't accept silence as an answer.

"There's a reason why i distance myself fom people Ai'Forth." He answered without looking at Forth. "It's so much safer not to feel, not to let anyone in besides Pha and Kit and then you come along and mess up everything — " his voice cracked and he was tearing up. "— and i can't even explain myself anymore because my mind is so messed up and it was just a matter of time for me to give up and now i know i'm falling and i know we can't so we need to stop this. You don't understand, you're special and i can't even explain why! —

"Beam." He cut him off as he walked towards him and hugged him tight. "I already know everything and i want to help you thats why i'm here. But acting all heartless isn't going to heal what hurts." He whispered to Beam's ear.

He was sobbing as he let Forth hug him. He's not even moving away.

"I'm always right here even if you push me away everytime. You could at least trust me to help you. Don't lie to yourself from now on okay? I'm always right here. Everything will be okay. Please trust me." Forth kissed the top of his head and half smiled as he stroked Beam's hair and he didn't protest to his actions. "I didn't ask you anything about your life because i wanted you to tell me yourself, when you were ready. But i guess you didn't get that and what you did was push me away. And now I'm here again and please don't shut me out again. Please?"

Beam was silent for several minutes.

He didn't mind this big guy hugging him while Forth just waited for him to speak.

They were standing in the middle of Beam's room.

Beam spoke after sometime when he finished sobbing and wiped his tears.

"What i feel — " He sniffed. "— i couldn't show you, so when you were around i didn't. I have no right to feel. But it doesn't mean i don't. I was just being cautious." He knew it. Beam was just scared to show him how he really feels. At least he said it now. Everything will be okay.

Forth kissed his forehead before he spoke. "Well —" Forth tilted his head so Beam was looking at him. "Kit was right. You really suck at lying. I know you liked me long ago." Forth teased him.

Forth did that to lighten up the mood because he didn't want both of them to be stressing about this issue, especially Beam. And it worked.

Beam narrowed his eyes at him and hit his arm that was still around his body. "Why are you such a confident dork?!" He sniffed again.

Forth chuckles. Beam is glaring at him but he knows he's okay now. "So, we're okay now right?"

Beam quirked his brows. "Hmmn. Not really 😒 Stop hugging me." Beam swatted away his hands. He knew Beam was teasing him. He was back.

"Oh? But why? You let me hug you just now." 😉 He smirked.

"It's not that easy." Beam said flatly as he  switched on the lights which he forgot to do since they entered the room. He started to move around to distract himself because his heart was thundering inside his chest. He just confessed to Forth in the weirdest way.

"What do you mean not easy? You already kissed me remember?" 😅 Forth won't stop teasing.

"Hey! 😡 I did that out of impulse!"😒 He regretted switching on the the lights as his face looked like a ripe tomato. He turned away from Forth as he was pretending to be busy in his mini kitchen.

"Oh whatever. You still kissed me. 😅"Forth made himself comfortable in his couch. Beam already admitted he liked him too, even he keeps on denying it.

"Alright. Shut up already." Beam mumbled. He was so embarrassed as Forth keeps reminding him of what he did.

Forth kept watching him then he remembered something which he didn't do yet. He walked up to Beam and stood close to him and smiled sweetly.

"Whoa there. Isn't that a bit too close? Move aside buddy." Beam face starts to blush again as he try to hide his flustered self from Forth who won't stop looking at him.

"I'm hungry." Forth said in a hushed tone while he was still looking at him.

Beam's eyes widen as he heard Forth utter those words.

Did he just ..😨

"Hey! Isn't it too early for you to be saying things like that to me?! What a horny bastard!"

Forth raised his eyebrows for a moment then threw his head back laughing.

"HAHAHAHA😅😅!!"

"H— hey! What the hell are you laughing at?!" Beam was starting to get annoyed with him. It took a moment for Forth to answer.

"Bee i wasn't — HAHAHA!! —  that's not  what i — HAHAHA !! — i meant i didn't have dinner yet 😂😅! — but if that's what you understood i'm not complaining 😂😅!"

Beam felt like he was just two inches tall now. He was red all over his face and neck.

"You — you should have been specific!! I said stop laughing already! —If you're not going to stop I'm throwing you out!" 😡😡

Forth was rubbing his hurting tummy after he finished laughing.

"You're so cute 😅"

"Shut up! 😒" Beam mumbled. "Are you going to eat or what? If you're just going to laugh at me then you better get out 😒."

*After they finished eating*

"Why do you keep staring at me like that?!" Beam was getting annoyed with Forth who wouldn't stop staring at him like he was some piece of meat and wearing his stupid smile. He was reading his lecture notes on his couch and Forth sat beside him and stared at him. He's been doing that for a while now.

"I'm just happy." Said Forth who had his chin rested on his palms.

Beam rolled his eyes. "Whatever. 😒 So when are you leaving? It's getting pretty late."

"Then i'll just stay here." Forth suggested without thinking twice.

Beam gaped at him. "Whoa whoa whoa!! What makes you think i will let you stay here?!"

"What makes you think you can make me leave?" Forth smirked. "Let me stay here na. I want to spend the night with you. I missed you."

"Uh — uh"

Forth grabbed Beam and made his head lean on his chest. He had his arms around Beam to which the other guy didn't protest. Beam slightly wiggled to make himself more comfortable. It was awkward for Beam but he didn't protest. Forth started toying with his hair. They were again silent as they were both processing what had happened and letting everything sink in.

"Stop playing with my hair it makes me sleepy." Beam mumbled as he feels his eyelids getting heavy.

"Beam."

"What."

"You're mine now right?"

"......"

"Beam?"

He got up from Forth's half-hug and looked straight at him.

"Have you thought about this Ai'Forth?"

"What do you mean? Thought about what?" Forth tilted his head to the side.

"I mean — you know — there are like thousands of other students from different faculties. And I'm just — this." He gestured to himself. "Why me? You look like that and it will be so damn easy for you to get anyone you want. So, of all people, why me?"

"Why are you asking me this? You have doubts about what made me like you?"

"No. I'm not doubting you. I'm giving you a chance to think about this, whether you really want to stick with me. There are thousands more out there. I'm asking you because i am giving you the chance to back away Ai'Forth." Beam wasn't taking his eyes off him. He knew he was really serious.

Forth took hold of his hands and squeezed it gently. "You're trying to push me away again but i already told you no matter how many times you do that, i will still stick with you. There might be a million others out there but i don't care about them because they're not you and you are the only one i want you get that? Please don't ever think like this again. Okay?" Forth hugged him again. He felt Beam nod in his chest. "kay."

Forth kissed the top of his head. "We should rest now. We both have class tomorrow."

"Okay then. I'll get you something to change into. Take a shower first."

Forth stood up and headed to the shower but he stopped to ask Beam first.

"But you're my boyfriend now right?"

"I'll think about it. Then i'll let you know." Beam smirked.

"Oh whatever. You're mine now 😅" Then he proceeded to go into the shower.

"Why did you bother asking me then? 😒" Beam mumbled.

*"Hi Bee😊" Forth greeted as he saw Beam emerge from the shower. He was already lying on the bed playing with his phone. Beam's glare was sending daggers as his arms were crossed in his chest. He was standing at the foot of the bed.

"Don't call me Bee. I don't make honey 😒"

Forth quirked his eyebrows as he was confused of why Beam suddenly got mad at him. He was in good mood before he went in to the shower.

"Why are you staring at me like that? Did i do something?"

"You sleep on the couch. I don't like people who smoke. 😒"

Beam had seen him earlier while he was smoking and maybe he remembered it while he was in the shower and now he's mad.

"Oh 😐 You saw that? Hehe. It was just once Bee. Don't be mad, na? 😢"

Beam was still sending his death glares.

"Or better yet. Why don't you sleep in the room across the hall with that Nong from Chemical Engineering who had her hands wrapped all over you this afternoon?! 😤😤 Huh?!" 😒😒

A/N: Yes Forth, he saw that too. You don't think Beam would just let it slip right? Now why don't you make yourself comfortable — on the couch!? 😅😅

Whaddup? How was this chapter? I realized y'all deserve a pretty long chapter since the previous chapters were stressing😅😅 (this is 2k+ words so this pretty long alright?) But whatever. The bottom line is — They're boyfriends!! Yay! 🙋🙏😅

But Beam opening up to Forth isn't going to be easy right? So, I'm not done yet 😊
