Chapter 4 (4 years later)

KendallIsgay9 1skittles0 this one is gonna be happier I promise 😼Marshalls povI haven't stopped thinking about Gary since the day I left, and still a pang of sadness overwhelms me whenever I get too deep into thinking about him. I keep on telling myself it's ridiculous, and I should just get over it, but it doesn't work. I am going to visit the town I left all those years ago, and I can't stop silently hoping that I will see Gary. I force myself to shrug it off as I walk to board the airplane. Gary's povI never stopped thinking about Marshall since the day he moved, and on days like this it's especially bad. I couldn't get the thought of him out of my head, so I decided to take a walk in the woods. Did me no good, even more so when I realized these are the woods where we met almost a decade ago. I sat on a log next to a raging river, and let my thoughts consume me. Marshalls povWhen I got home and greeted my mom, I decided to take a walk to clear my head. I walked around, following the sound of a river. After about 10 minutes of searching, I finally found it. I almost had a heart attack when I saw someone very familiar looking sitting on a log. Is that him? Could it be? I rubbed my eyes to make sure. Still there. Tears started to well up in my eyes and I ran towards him. "GARY!" I yelled. He looked very startled as his head shot up. "Marshall?" He says as I hug him. When he realizes, he hugs me back tightly. "Marshall!" We stay there for a while, and then we break apart, both crying. I wipe away his tears. "How? When?" Gary stutters, out of breath. "I don't know," I say, then laugh. He starts laughing too, as I tackle him into another hug.
