12. Pancakes and Beaches

It wasn't the first time he woke up with a massive headache. Nor the first time he had no idea where he was, waking up in a strange bed and an unfamiliar room. As usual, there was also memory loss, feeling sick and regretting whatever reason he had to have gotten so drunk last night.
He groaned as he righted himself into a sitting position, his stomach lurching angrily. Jeez, where the hell was he?The room looked neat and modern, the bed massive and the sheets soft and made of linen, the wall-long curtain breezing in the half-opened window.
He tried to go through the last day. Friday. Getting to work. Driving with Yoongi to go meet Joonie-
Everything flooded back like a tidal wave and he groaned again. Shit. Joonie turned out to be Namjoon and the house he was in was no other than Jungkook's.
Double, triple and quadruple shit! There was no saying it often enough. He slept with his boss again! He should really just keep lying in bed and never leave- that seemed to be the only way he wouldn't do it again.
There was a soft knock and the door and his head snapped around. Please, don't let it be Jungkook. Please don't let it be Jungkook, he whispered in his head, trying to chase away the fact that he wanted it to be him. Jeez, he really was sick!
The door opened and Jimin had no idea what to feel as Tae snuck his head in, his blond-golden hair making him look like sunshine itself. "Hey there, big bro! Are you alive again?"
Jimin made a face and groaned. "I don't feel alive," he mumbled out as Taehyung stepped fully into the room, then threw himself on the bed with a big smile.
"Well, I have to thank you I guess. Jungkook asked us all to stay after you got so drunk he had to carry you upstairs and I honestly never slept in a more comfortable bed!"
Jimin gaped at him. Wait... Jungkook had carried him here? He thought it had been Yoongi. It had definitely been Yoongi who had been in the kitchen with him before everything else turned into a blur. And no matter how hard he thought, he couldn't remember getting to this room.
"You're welcome," Jimin ground out through his teeth before he slid out from under the blanket and stretched his body- still aching in some very intimate places."How late is it?" he asked his brother, not able to tell how much time had passed. "Oh, already close to ten. We're having breakfast downstairs and I thought I'd come get you and see if you were up and wanted to have some too."
Jimin made a face. Even thinking about food made him want to puke all over the expensive wooden floor.
"Jungkook even made pancakes and put aside a massive one just for you! You have an amazing boss, you know that?"Jimin groaned for the hundredth time and buried his face in his hands. Sometimes he really couldn't understand why Jungkook was even trying to keep it a secret when he kept doing things that made it apparently obvious there was something going on between them.
"I'm not hungry."
Tae pouted. "But he made I especially for you and told me to come get you! And he let us sleep over.""It's Namjoon's house as well," Jimin argued. Tae giggled. "No it's not. This is Jungkook's fathers house and Namjoon is just living with him until he finds his own place in town. So, you have to eat that pancake!"
What he had to do, was get out of here and away from the boy who was ruining his life! But apparently, there was no escaping him, so he got to his feet and mumbled out a quick: "Fine."
Tae hopped around him like a happy bunny, then blabbered about everything Jimin missed while being drunk in bed.
His head was throbbing from his little brother's excited babbling, but he didn't have the heart to tell him to shut up. They made it into the kitchen with the adjoining living room and the first thing his gaze fell too, was the large oak table, then the black-haired grinning boy sitting at it and shooting him a knowing grin, fully aware of where his thoughts had gone.
Only a second later he realized everyone else was here as well, all of the boys perched around the table and eating breakfast while talking excitedly.
"Yo, Jimin! Back from the dead, hmm?" Hoseok shouted out when he saw him and Tae make their way to the table.
"Way to go, getting drunk at your bosses house!" Jin teased, but Jungkook only chuckled and waved it off. "It was actually kinda cute. No worries Jimin. Come, sit down. I made pancakes."
Jimin didn't know what to say, and tried his absolute best not to look like a gaping fish. Had Jungkook just called him cute in front of all of them? Bloody Marry, he really gave a fuck about who found out, didn't he? Or maybe a part of him wanted to be found out. He had said it himself yesterday, snarling at him in anger that he never had a choice- never got to make his own decisions and was sick of it. He didn't want to sympathize with Jungkook but... a part of him did. How terrible must it be not to do the things you wanted? Always following the will and wishes of others?Jimin had been ready to take the anger and despise from his step-father onto his shoulders, to make sure his kid-brother could do what he loved.
He sighed on the inside, and then stared at the empty space across from Jungkook, and there was indeed a massive pancake waiting for him.
"Thanks," he mumbled out and shuffled forward, taking a seat at a table he had done very, very nasty things on- or rather been done too.
And the person responsible smiled smugly while chewing on his pancake, so Jimin hit his knee under the table. Jungkook jerked and winced, but the others were so deep in conversation, no one noticed.
Then the boy shot him a dark grin, tilting his head to the side, before he brought up his own long legs under the table. But not to kick him back. Instead he very slowly let his feet run up his legs and thighs, Jimin forgetting how to chew as he froze. Oh my God! Jungkook really had no restrain. And apparently, neither had he as he shivered, that foot coming dangerously close to an area which had started tingling and aching. Jesus Christ, he was a a mess. A mess for Jungkook.
Jimin shuddered again, and with one last smug grin, Jungkook lowered his legs again and continued eating like nothing had happened.
But his torture was far from over, because the boys decided they should make use of the sunny weather and head to the lake outside of town. And then he had to watch Jungkook's naked chest all afternoon, seeing his wet hair and his bronze skin glimmer in the summer heat.
Yoongi had turned to him after Jungkook had taken off his shirt and under his breath whispered: "Okay I totally get it now," and Jimin had blushed again.
But despite Jungkook being a massive, walking temptation right in front of him, he actually enjoyed himself. Everyone was in a brilliant mood, joking, laughing, fooling around in the water and playing games on the beach.
And when Jungkook wasn't trying to fuck him senseless or get all angry and bossy on him, he was just as much fun to hang out with. Jimin was sure he would be angry about that too later, but he couldn't even bring himself to feel it right then, because it was simply too much fun and that was something he desperately needed.
Jin and Namjoon were ridiculously happy and their smiles warming Jimin's heart more than the sun. He really didn't want to cause anything that would mess this up, but his thing with Jungkook might just make it hella complicated if Jin ever found out. They all loved Jungkook and the younger just had a way of wrapping them around their finger.
By the end of the day, everyone of the boys asked him to call him Hyung and they treated him like a real brother, joking and teasing him, especially him and Jin where acting like real brothers. Tae absolutely adored Jungkook while Hoseok laughed and even ruffled his hair after joking around.
And hell, even Yoongi smiled in adoration when Jungkook came out from the water and shook his hair like a wet dog right in front of the dark haired boy, making him giggle. Jeez, he never heard Yoongi giggle before.
All in all, it was a cruel mix of feeling absolutely happy and content, and slowly realizing that Jungkook was wriggling his way into his friends heart way too fast. And probably into his as well. And Namjoon- It felt like Namjoon had always been a part of this group. He just had that thing about him that made you feel absolutely comfortable and safe around him.
When the sun was already low on the horizon and it was time to say goodbye, Tae whined like a baby, Hoseok invited them all over for next weekend and Jin and Namjoon were displaying a bit too much PDA in front of them. Even Yoongi looked sad to go.
And Jimin. God forbid, but he had actually kinda enjoyed himself too, and that must be saying something about him. They all hugged and said their goodbyes and Jimin had nearly sighed when Jungkook's scent had wrapped around him, his embrace strong and squeezing him tight, almost like he didn't feel like letting him go either. And the way their gaze had met and held, too long to be unsuspicious.
Damn, he was properly loosing his shit.
And because whatever it was Jungkook was doing to him was scaring the shit out of him, he was about to do something very, very stupid.
