Chapter 5: I Love You

It was that day that hot and sunny day. Bunga, Beshte, and Ono were setting their plan into action. They wanted Kion and Fuli to be together, because they knew they liked each other. Their plan was to get the two to fall into each other and right at that moment, they would fall for each other.

Fuli was there laying in a tall patch of grass not too far from the lair. She was grooming herself casually until she noticed Kion and she quickly jumped up shaking nervously.

"Hey Fuli! I need to tell you something!" Said Kion as he ran towards her.

"Oh, uh you do?" Questioned Fuli a little suprised.

"Yes, I um well...."

"You?" Said Fuli waiting for Kion to finish his sentence.

Without the two friends knowing, Bunga, Beshte, and Ono were watching them from behind a bush.

"Yes! this is perfect timing!" Squealed Bunga excitedly.

"Okay so I'll guide them guys let's go." Said Ono while flying above Kion and Fuli.

"Guys! guys! I want you to follow me come on!" Exclaimed Ono, interrupting Kion.

Kion sighed and then he and Fuli followed Ono to Hakuna Matata Falls.

"Why did you bring us here Ono?" Asked Kion, glancing around noticing that he's been there recently.

"No reason! Uh why don't you two hang out I'll be back bye!" Said Ono, as they watched him fly off.

"Uh, okay? Kion, don't you find this a little unusual I mean, Ono wouldn't just lead us here unless there was trouble." Said Fuli looking at Kion with a puzzled look.

"Yeah, it's not like him to do that, but anyway what I was trying to say was, WOAH!"-

All of the sudden Bunga and Beshte snuck behind Kion, and knocked him into Fuli.

Kion then fell into Fuli and he sended her falling on her back on the ground.

"Uh- I- uh... didn't mean to do t- that, uh haha...." Said Kion embarrased, as he quickly hopped off of her feeling flustered, while blushing.

"No it's okay, don't worry about it haha.." Replied Fuli blushing in embarrassment.

There was this feeling this tempting feeling inside them that they just couldn't pull away. Kion stared into Fuli's eyes, while she stared back into his auburn eyes. Their eyes locked together, it was like they had been hypnotized by each other's presence.

Kion's cheeks started to heat up again.

Kion and Fuli were still. Kion leaned in closer towards Fuli, he wanted this, he knew they both did, but then he stopped.

"Look, Fuli I can't... I don't see this happening I know you like me, and I do too... it's just I don't think we can make this work... I'm sorry I have to go." Said Kion, running away from Fuli, leaving her there.

Deep down, Kion didn't want to leave her, especially not like that, he wanted to stay with her. Right then and there he had the most perfect opportunity in the world, he could've took his shot, but he blew it. They both could've had their special moment if it wasn't for him. He felt stupid.

Dammit! Why do I have to be such an idiot!? He thought to himself.

Bunga, Beshte, and Ono gasped in shock and realized their plan failed. They all watched Fuli run away back to the lair, tears streamed her eyes.

They all followed her back to the lair.

Fuli laid down on her rock crying softly not noticing her friends.

"Fuli, are you okay?" Asked Bunga, he quickly ran up to her. Beshte and Ono followed  behind, and tried to cheer her up.

"Y- yeah I'm fine, really it's fine." Replied Fuli sadly, facing away from them.

"But, are you sure? I mean you don't look fine...." Said Bunga seeing the discomfort in his friend's eyes.

"Little b, I think she needs some time to herself." Said Beshte.

"Oh, okay..." Said Bunga.

Bunga, Beshte, and Ono then went out of the cave, Fuli watched them leave from the corner of her eye.

Fuli then dreamed once again about her and Kion, but this one was about him and her together, and Kion with fear.

"Fuli, I'm sorry I have to go my parents are probably worried about me." Said Kion before licking her ear then running off.

"Okay, bye Kion! see you tomorrow!" Said Fuli, watching him leave.

Fuli was then taken to a point in her dream where she followed Kion and hid behind a rock overhearing him and his father's conversation.

"Kion, where were you?" Asked Simba glaring down at him when he arrived at pride rock.

"Sorry dad, I- I uh was just hanging out with Fuli." Replied Kion gazing down at the ground nervously.

"With Fuli? Why would you be hanging out with her? is there something going on between you two?" Said Simba narrowing his eyes at Kion raising an eyebrow.

"Well..."

"Son, I certainly did not raise you for you to be with a different breed!" Exclaimed Simba his glare got even scarier.

"But dad I love her! please you have to understand!" Cried Kion he was getting frustrated yet, Fuli could see the fear in his eyes.

"No, I will NOT have my son be with a cheetah! Do you realize what your mother will think of this!?" Yelled Simba.

Kion stepped back fearfully his eyes widened in shock of his father's angry comment.

Fuli then awoke panting and glanced around the lair for Kion, but then she remembered Kion had left her.

She sighed solemnly all alone in the lair. But suddenly, a lightbulb flicked in her brain.

Of course! He's afraid that if we were to be together, that his dad would be mad at him!

Thought Fuli. She then decided to run after Kion and comfort him, but before she could her path was blocked by Janja.

"What the!? JANJA?" Exclaimed Fuli angrily.

"Yep, it's me and you know what I'm sick and tired of you and the lion guard ruining my plans!" Replied Janja furiously.

"Well, it's not my fault that your plans are always backfiring!" Fuli shot back. She was definitely not in the mood to play around with Janja.

"Hmm, I wonder where your friends are.." Said Janja glancing around and then looking back at Fuli with an evil grin.

"It's none of your concern Janja!" Shouted Fuli she was nervous she then made a run for it, but Janja stepped on her tail and kept her from running.

"URGH let me go JANJA!" Yelled Fuli struggling to escape from Janja.

"No, I think me and my clan will need to teach you a lesson, that YOU Cheetah, should stay out of our way. CMON BOYS!" Said Janja, running away dragging Fuli by the tail to the outlands, her strength was weakening.

"YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING TO ME!" Exclaimed Fuli as Janja and his hyenas threw Fuli into a empty space with steam vents surrounding her.

"Well boys looks like we're gonna have some cheetah tonight, HAHAHAHA!" Said Janja, laughing evilly.

"You won't get away with this Janja! KION WILL SAVE ME YOU'LL SEE!" Growled Fuli.

"Oh really? I don't see him, it's too bad your pity little friends aren't here to save you, HAHAHA!" Cackled Janja.

Janja and his clan cornered her, leaving her trapped.

Back at the pridelands, Beshte, Bunga, and Ono were worrying about Fuli.

"I sure hope she is okay, she's never acted like this before." Said Ono worryingly.

"Man, this is all my fault!" Exclaimed Bunga.

"Don't blame yourself little b, we all agreed to it." Said Beshte trying to cheer him up.

But then Kion suddenly ran towards them his eyes with panick.

"Guys, have you seen Fuli?" Asked Kion panicking.

"Yeah, she's in the lair why, haven't you checked in there?" Replied Bunga looking confused.

"Are you kidding? of course I looked in there! where did she go?" Exclaimed Kion panicking even more looking at his friends in disbelief.

"What? are you sure?" Asked Bunga.

Bunga, Beshte, and Ono glanced in the lair and saw that Fuli was gone.

"Hapana!" Exclaimed Ono.

"Oh no, this can't be good." Said Beshte worrying about his friend.

"That's weird she was just in there a minute ago!" Exclaimed Bunga convincing Kion.

"Y'all should've stayed in there with her, what were you all doing out here anyway?" Asked Kion glaring at his friends.

"Well, she wanted to be alone.... so we gave her some space." Replied Beshte.

"Maybe, she just wandered out... Ono! take a look!" Commanded Kion.

"Afformitave."Replied Ono and he flew off. He looked down at the pride lands and saw Fuli nowhere in sight. But then, he glanced at the outlands and saw Fuli cornered and surrounded by the hyenas.

"Hapana!" Exclaimed Ono once again. He flew back to Kion giving him the news.

"What do ya see Ono?" Asked Kion his paw reaching foward ready for any trouble.

"It's Fuli! she's in the outlands, and the hyenas have got her cornered!" Replied Ono.

"HEVI KABISA! OH NO THEY DONT! Lion Guard, let's go! TILL THE PRIDELANDS END....."

"LION GUARD DEFEND!" The four of them shouted together.

The four animals rushed to the outlands where Fuli was held captive. Kion saw them and growled in anger.

"GRRR,  JANJA GET AWAY FROM HER!" Snarled Kion.

"Oh Kion! what a surprise to see you here! HAHAHAHA!" Laughed Janja evilly.

"ENOUGH JANJA! I'VE HAD IT WITH YOU AND YOUR SCHEMES, EVERYONE NOW!" Shouted Kion.

"TWENDEKEBOKO!" Called out Beshte, taking out the hyenas with the help of Bunga.

"THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MESS WITH A MEMBER OF THE GUARD!" Yelled Kion indignantly.

He then roared and Janja and his hyenas were blown away.

"Kion! you came!" Exclaimed Fuli excitedly she ran in to nuzzle him.

"Of course I did Fuli, don't worry I'll always be here for you." Said Kion nuzzling her back.

"Cmon guys let's head back to the pridelands!" Said Kion happily.

They all walked back to the pride lands and Bunga, Beshte, and Ono headed into the lair. Kion was about to head in too, but Fuli stopped him.

"Kion wait, can we talk?" Asked Fuli Kion could see the concern on her face, so he agreed and followed her to a grassy spot in the pridelands.

"So, what is it Fuli?" Asked Kion his nose twitched.

"Well, look I know why you don't want us to be together, it's because of your dad right?" Questioned Fuli surprising Kion.

"Yeah...wait, how did you know?" Asked Kion anxiously.

"Let's just say I had a dream about it." Replied Fuli a little uneased.

"Oh, the dreams yeah I almost forgot, well yeah mainly.... look Fuli, I love you it's just that I feel like my dad won't accept my love for you..." Said Kion despairingly.

"But Kion! please, just go talk to him I'm sure he'll be okay with it right? I mean he's your dad! He's supposed to be supportive to you!" Exclaimed Fuli.

Kion could tell she loved him, and she wasn't gonna give up any time soon.

"Okay, okay I'll talk to him, but only for you." Said Kion he licked her cheek, then ran off towards pride rock.

Fuli was hoping the same thing wouldn't happen in her dream, she couldn't believe it. Her and Kion together? She would've never known what she had been missing out on her whole life.

Little did they both know, Bunga was watching the whole thing and jumped up for joy.

"ZUKA ZAMA! I HAVE to tell everyone!" Squealed Bunga cheerfully.

Will Kion's dad accept his love for Fuli? or will it all go tumbling down hill. Find  out in chapter 6 coming soon....
