Nathaniel x Marc
02:39, 13 January 2022Third personMarinette had left the two in the room for about 5 minutes now. They haven't spoken or looked at each other. Nathaniel sketched in his notebook as Marc hid his face in his knees.
Marinette: These two can't be serious...
Nathaniel looked up from his book and decided to break the awkward silence between them.
Nathaniel: So...uh...have you finished your book yet?
Marc: Oh u-uh....not yet. Almost...
Nathaniel: Your face is red, are you catching a cold or something?
Marinette: Nathaniel are you stupid or something!? He's obviously blushing...! *groans while internally screaming*
Marc: No, no. I'm fine.
Marinette: Oh! Hurry up already!!
Nathaniel: Umm...if you w-want...would you like to see my drawings..just to pass the time?
Marc: *lifts head a bit* S-Sure...
Nathaniel got up and sat next to him and showed him his comics, flipping through the pages. Marc's head shot up in amazement at how good his drawings were. They were only sketches, no color or fine/finished lines but he could see everything like if it were. "The lines, the brushstrokes, the shading of the pencil, it's all so clear. There is a lot of feeling and emotion flowing from it. It's almost as if it were...alive..-"
He covered his mouth as he began to ramble. Nathaniel turned to him, surprised at what he said; how he knew so much about drawings if he's only a writer. They looked at each other for a few seconds until both their eyes glimmered, Nathaniel's purple and Marc's red again. Marc jumped, turning away and scooting away from him, his back facing Nathaniel as he buried his head in his jacket.
Nathaniel just sat there with a tint of blush on his cheeks he then looked at the door and saw Marinette through the window with a thumbs up, smiling. He furrowed his brows as Marinette took it as a sign to move. After all there were only 3 minutes left. Marinette rolled herself away near the edge of the steps as she called Damian to help her. Damian simply sighed as they went to their room.
Nathaniel took a deep breath before walking over to Marc and rested his hand on his shoulder. He didn't respond. He felt his shivering and twitching all over as if he were scared. Nathaniel sighed as he got up stooped in front of him, tilting his head to try to find his face. He came closer and began to slide the hood off his head. He still didn't budge.
Nathaniel: Hey, c'mon now, you can't hide your face forever in there. Look, I'm a bit startled by this too, but a wise person once told me, 'There's no changing the fact that you're a vampire and that I'm a devil and that we're soulmates'. We just have to pull through it, k?
Marc: I-I...I'll try...
Nathaniel pulled down the zipper to reveal his face hidden inside his jacket. His entire face was red. Nathaniel helped him up and smiled. "Now this makes us more than just partners when it comes to writing. How about after training, we start that book?" He rose a brow and and Marc nodded. "Ok, I'll ask Marinette..-"
Marinette: You don't need my permission to go out with your soulmate. Feel free to galavant all you want.
Nathaniel: How long were you two standing there?
Damian: Trust me, not that long.
Marinette: I'm so happy for you two. I'll leave it up to you two to tell the others when you're ready. And congrats to you Marc, you're half way through the lessons. I gave Nathaniel a little itty bitty scratch on his leg before I left and a little blood came out. You composed yourself pretty well. Now that you can resist your soulmates blood, time for the real challenge.
Nathaniel: You did what..? When did you...?
Marc: ...What...?~~~~~~~~~~
MarinetteIt was around lunch time so I gave Nathaniel and Marc the rest of the day off. So they decided to start working on that book. It is a book about me...how could I not? I was currently in my room with Damian and Jerry who was changing my bandages. I now came to realize that I had a lot but some wounds had fully healed so I'm almost at a hundred percent. I've also been practicing to learn how to walk again.
Damian held me up as I slowly took a few steps. My foot suddenly felt weak and I was about to fall but Damian held me up. "I hate being weak..I hate being human...*groans*" she confessed, frustrated. "Don't worry Angel. Everything will be fine. You're almost there." he encouraged. There was a knock at the door as Marinette said come in in response. It was Bridgette.
Bridgette: Hey you two, practicing again?
Marinette: Yeah I took five more steps than usual. What's up?
Bridgette: Well, the squads here, they kinda got held back.
Damian: I'll bring her down.
Bridgette closed the door as Damian picked Marinette up and sat her in the chair. He pushed her over to the living room and saw Bridgette and Felix along with three other supernaturals. The girl with the blonde hair bowed as Marinette would giggle.
Marinette: What is with everyone and bowing to me? Please rise, there's no need for that.
Bridgette: I told her not to do it but after I told them about what happened to you, she just had to show her respect.
Felix: This is my squad, Squad F; This is Allegra, a vampire who's soulmate is this idiot. His name is Claude and he's a werewolf, they're like your relationship. And this is Allan, a devil.
Marinette: It's nice to meet all of you. This is Damian, a werewolf who happens to be my soulmate. I heard a lot of stories about you all from Bri.
Claude: So it is true that you two look like twins.
Allan: Who's older?
Marinette/Bridgette: Me.
Marinette: Bri, you know very well that I'm older. I'm at least three and a half months older than her.
Allegra: I figured as much, she acts like a child.
Bridgette: No I don't! *pouts*
Felix: Yeah, you kinda do... Anyways, onto business. We've been picking up high frequencies of magic. Not here in London I'm afraid but over in Gotham coming into London.
Bridgette: There's also a full moon tonight and let's just say...the vamps here in London are more wild than your average vamp in Gotham. They're quicker and London is a big place and with their speed, they can easily get away.
Allegra: We've been trying to bag ourselves one of the vamps who had the Lex Luthor symbol on his ring. I spotted it when I got close to him during our last battle.
Allan: Apparently the bad guys are recruiting new people..well supernaturals to join their little group. They're growing in numbers.
Claude: Sooner or later, we're gonna be outnumbered and this may turn out to be a challenge. And you're still in a wheelchair...
Marinette: Indeed I am. *sigh* Well all I can say and really do is encourage you guys and give support and orders from the sidelines. I guess I can help with food and training but the rest is up to you.
Felix: What do you think her next move will be? You guys know her better than us.
Alya: True. You all should come and see this. It's Lila.
We all followed Alya to the briefing room and saw Max at the computers. He updated everyone on their situation and said that Lex is moving the awareness to other countries so that the lockdown could be worldwide. That little b*tch is trying to corner us!! I felt my body tense and my head began to hurt by the amount of forceful anger and thoughts that ran through my head.
I shifted my place on the seat, resting my feet on the ground, I bent my elbows out and pushed myself off the seat of the chair. I need to hurry my lazya**, slow going recovery up because time is something we don't have. I began to walk as I held myself up using the wall and continued my way out the room.
Marinette: Max, try to hack in and slow down the broadcast, squads on patrol, there's been recent sightings of supernaturals joining the villains with a LexCorp ring on. Capture and interrogate if possible, rest of you train and get yourself back in shape. I said this before this isn't a vacation for the laughs and giggles, it's business. And as such I need to get back into my f*cking shape and recover before the end of the week. Those are your orders, get to it.
